I really like the style and shape of my router.
I like the shape and style of my wireless router. "It looks good [sitting] on-my-desk, next-to-my-laptop." (The color black goes with many colors aready on my desk.)

Fine product, useless instructions
The hardware, living up to its brand reputation, has been performing without any problems every day since I got it a couple of weeks ago. (Of course, getting good wireless reception from one end of the house to the other is a separate issue.) Oddly, however, one of the graphically elaborate instructional CDs that come with the hardware somehow manages to provide wrong instructions for one of the simplest tasks required for set-up (namely interposing the router between the modem and the computer in the wiring path). Figuring out how to set up the wiring correctly is not difficult, but the instructional CD would leave any non-mechanically-inclined novice confused and frustrated.

Satisfied with linksys router
I am quite satisfied with my purchase of Linksys E1200 Wireless Router from HPShopping.com! The setup was fairly easy and the performance has been very good so far. My one minor complaint would be that the parental controls are not as robust as expected. For example, you can only restrict specific website URLs and the hours certain devices can connect to the internet. It does not provide the ability to block an entire category of websites (I.E. block "adult" sites).

A fantastic addition to my computer.
The Linksys E1200 replaced an old Linksys which consistantly lost my connection to the Internet. No such problem with the new Linksys.

Having problems
Setting up the router was fairly simple but for some reason it created two network connections - one secure the other not. I will make another attempt to set up, if I get the same results I will be returning the product.

Easy Even for a Rookie!
I decided to go wireless for the 1st time when ordering my new HP Desktop PC. To be honest, I thought I'd need a friend's help getting it connected, but I was on such a roll with my new PC set up that I gave it a shot on my own.
To my surprise, it was easy and I was able to get connected very quickly!

Sooo Simple and Easy
I replaced a Linksys G router with this new N router to accompany my new laptop with an N card in it. It was VERY easy to install and set up, and it worked great immediately with no hassles or complicated set-up procedure. I am thrilled with it.

Couldn't be happier
This was so incredibly easy, I can't believe I didn't do it before. Literally all I had to do was plug in the router to my modem, put in the CD and follow a few simple instructions, and enter the password for each device I wanted to connect. It practically installed itself. In only a few minutes everyting was connected - laptop, Nook tablet and phone - and I was done! Great product.

OK product, poor support
-The router was easy to setup. That is a MAJOR plus.
-I ran into a problem with it during setup where I lost all connectivity to the internet. I pushed the restore to factory defaults button and got it working again.
-Now I'm having a problem with the parental controls where I have 5 devices listed 4 of which I have no clue what device they are (all I have is a name "network device") and I cannot find any info like IP or MAC address from the setup. I have tried contacting Cisco and am getting a run around.
-This router replaced a Netgear router that was much cheaper and seemed to have better features. Next time I'll probably get a netgear again.
-The better feature that I really noticed was the logs. On the netgear router, the logs showed URLs that were being accessed and when they were accessed. On the Linksys router, it only displays an IP address (no date either), and of course if you try to go to those IP addresses they don't work. The linksys logs are useless.

after set-up quirks, it's great
It's a dandy wireless router, now that it's set-up correctly.
At first the wireless speed wouldn't go above a very slow 0.5 Mbps and it took a lot of searching online to solve the problem. But the solution turned out to be very simple.

Under Wireless:
Basic Wireless Settings - Manual, Network mode: Mixed, Channel 9, SSID Enabled, Channel Width: 20 MHz only
Wireless Security - WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode
Under Applications and Gaming
QoS - disabled.

First Wireless Router Ever Purchased
I decided to purchase this wireless router based on the product reviews all ready submitted. It was delivered as promised, and the set-up was a breeze (my service provider is Comcast by the way). I have been using it for the last 2 weeks now and have not encountered any problems. I live in a small one-story house as well. I have asked myself why I waited so long to go wireless. Love IT!

Great for Field work too...
We install several IP cameras at various locations. This product allows us to configure the cameras at the camera and "shoot the shot" or focus an aim the camera. This item along with a PoE injector eliminates the need for a second person sitting in front of a PC calling out "Left-Right-Stop" to the tech on the ladder.
We create our own network, set the camera up, then configure the cam for the customer network and turn everything over at one time. No need to "interrupt" their network off and on throughout the day.
An ideal time and labor saver. Easy setup also makes service calls a breeze.

worked great after it finally set up
It could have been a faulty unit, but it would not connect over Ethernet even with the cd. I did not have a notebook at the time so I was not able to do the wireless setup. I tried everything to set it up. Finally I was able to find a laptop at work and windows took over setting up the AP. After that it worked great.

great product great price
The Linksys E1200 wireless router works great. Feature rich for the price, heck feature rich if it was even more expensive. (hopefully they don't read this)
Set it up right out of the box and had deployed a few minutes later. I loved the fact that it didn't have any external antennas to worry about.

a bit flaky, unreliable
The unit works okay most of the time, but it has a tendency to lose to connect wirelessly with my computer every once in a while even though the two units are only four feet away from each other. I have had to use the cable to get a reliable connection to the internet.
