Gets A Signal Not the Seed
While it brings a strong signal the speed of the enhanced signal is a fraction of the original signal. If t goal is to enhance the speed of the connection this is not the solution. If it is to get a minimum signa then it works fine.

Terrible Customer Service
I purchased this item to use at our beach house. It would not connect to the wifi at the residence. When I returned home, I called Dell and was told the item was ordered more than 30 days prior and I could not exchange it. I was provided a number to Linksys and they were also less then helpful in fixing the problem.

Trying to set this thing up but I never get past the blinking amber light! I'm within 5 feet of my router. This is very disappointing. Can't really rate the product except to say that it doesn't work of me. I'll be returning it tomorrow. Thanks for wasting my time.

Works Very Well
I was skeptical about this product, since I've heard negative things about extenders and their speed.
This product was super easy to set-up and get into operation.
I saw an immediate difference in both the speed and strength of the signal on two laptops as well as cell phones.
There was a little bit of confusion for me on whether this should be set-up under WPS or not, but the web set-up in order to physically place it was extremely simple.
Well worth using in a house with multiple items.

Works Like A Charm
Here was the problem. Using our streaming feature on our smart TV, mostly Netflix, it would spool perpetually. The wireless router was diagonally across the house. Our signal to the TV would sometimes fluctuate down to two bars. Two bars didn't seem sufficient to stream wirelessly. So, I installed this extender in the living room where the wireless signal fluctuates between 2 and 3 bars. Extender works like a charm. I haven't had any spooling issues yet. While I can only talk about reliability in the short term, I have only had this extender a short period of time. If it breaks down or something wonkers happens, I'll revisit to adjust my review.

Horrible service, impossible setup
I just bought this product and brought it home. It would not setup so I called Linksys at 1 in the morning. Apparently they're incredibly busy because I've been waiting for half an hour for someone to help me. I will never buy another Linksys product nor will I ever recommend one. Its supposed to be easy to set up. It's not. Not at all.

Come get your moneys worth
First and foremost I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. and quite honestly you get what you pay for, the thing with Linksys products is they're built feature rich to last the next ten to fifteen years, from the higher data speeds, to the beam forming technology, to all around ease of setup and secure up to date security features.
You really can't go wrong with this product; it's the lesser of the two wall mounted range extenders they offer but honestly the speeds theses units are capable of your service providers won't be able to match for about 8 years at least.

RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender. What a difference!
My house is a graveyard for electronic signals. My two upstairs bedrooms weren't getting the benefit of my 5 GHz band at all and my 2.4 GHz band had the same signal strength I get when I'm a block away from my house on my router's side. I thought about getting a new router, the ones that cost $200 and are as big as a car. Linksys sent me a free RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender in exchange for an honest review so I thought I'd try that first. The setup guide was straight forward. My router has a WPS button so I used that method to set up the extender. In less than 3 minutes, I had a new extended network. Easiest setup of any device I've ever used. My Grandma could have done it. Really. The device's url page has a spot finder that can tell you if the place you plug your extender in is too close or far from your router to maximize the range and signal strength. The extender only uses up one lower plug of a duplex wall outlet. I now get a 5 bar very strong signal on every device when before the most I ever got was 3. The highest link speed before was 52 Mbs. Now I get 433 Mbs. I've only had the extender a week but so far it's been rock steady. No bugs. No restarts. No hiccups. I am very pleased with the RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender. It's less than half the cost of a new router and I've extended my network to a hard to cover area with a great leap in speed.

Awesome Extender
I received this product for free to try it and review it. The auto setup feature by pressing the WPS button on the router and the extender did not work for me. I followed directions exactly with no success. It is possible it is due to my router. It is a linksys router thou so i would think it would work better. So i went ahead and tried the manual setup using the IP address. I actually liked it better because i could see and understand exactly each step of the process. How the extender would first connect to my router which i manually typed the password and then how it created the same wi-fy name with EXT at the end meaning extender. Followed the steps on screen which also included the assigning of an admin password for security. This manual process lasted no more than 5 minutes. In fact, it took less. I have good wi-fi connection now at the living room :) with no more annoying buffering pauses while watching Netflix or youtube. I am a happy customer thats for sure. Only reason i removed one star was because the WPS setup procedure did not work. But other than that, it is a solid device that works as stayted. Loved it.

This just came in this week. I had it up and running within 20 minutes. Getting the 5ghz online in addition to the 2.4 GHZ was a little difficult however I was still able to do it without the need for technical support. Very nice to be able to access settings just like the router, even tells you the perfect placement for reception.

Extends WiFi range with AC speed
If you need to get your WiFi signal to your devices smart TVs, Streaming Bluray players, Apple TV, Tablets, Laptops, Cameras and Phones and your Wireless Router too far for a good signal strength, then the Linksys RE6300 is what you need. Hooked it up in about 5 minutes using a browser based setup. It also can be done with WPS. I have a Linksys AC 1900 router model EA6900. This router has two wireless networks one 2.4 and other 5.0. This Range Extender lets you connect to two more with mySSId_ext. My internet connection is strong throughout my 2 story house. Network connections work just as if connected to one router. Speed seems good. There is a browser program that help place the extender in an optimal location between device and router.

A Great Addition to My Home!
I've been using an older router as a wireless bridge for a couple of years now. When Linksys offered to let me try the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender as part of the Linksys Friends and Family program, I jumped on it.
Setting up the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender is a breeze. You have two choices. Either use WPS or Browser based setup. Both are easy. It really depends how lazy you are. With WPS, I would have to climb stairs to push the WPS button on my router. With Browser based, I wouldn't even have to leave my desk. I went with the latter. The quick start guide walks you right though it.
Now for performance. I have an older laptop with a wireless N card that likes to fail at the worst times. However, it worked well with the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender. I didn't see any drop in speeds or connectivity. The best thing about this Wi-Fi Range Extender is the inclusion of the ethernet jack. Since my wireless card in my laptop likes to fail, I decide to use the ethernet jack. Performance has been flawless. I have never lost a connection. It is always there and ready to go when I start my laptop. Since the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender connects in both AC and N modes, was able to connect to my router in AC mode. Throughput through the ethernet jack has actually improved my speeds.
There are not many things to tweak in the menu of Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender. It performs great the way it is. I find the easiest way to connect to it after setup is through windows explorer. Double click on it when you find it and it will open a web page to the menu...piece of cake!
All in all, the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender is a great addition to my home!

This product, once taken out of the box, was installed and setup in under 5 minutes. This includes setting it up to connect to my home WiFi. Better than I expected
I didn't really have a lot of hope for this when I got it but I have to say it really works great. I set this up to hard wire into a non wifi dvd player and the results are spectacular. Has not dropped the signal even once, plus it boosts reception to the far corners of my back yard. Big plus. Set up was easy, plug and play basically, just go to the web site and follow the easy directions. Took all of 5 min. to get up and running.

Better Wifi
I just got this unit and it was one of the easiest setups ever. I had to push 2 buttons, one on my router and then one on the extender and that was it. I wanted it because we have weak cell service and I needed a stronger signal to extend further when im working outside. I now can get wifi on my phone for texts and emails. I also like the versatility of the antennas because of the way i had to plug it in. See attached photo.

I'm digging the portability of this thing..
Let me first say that I received the Linksys - AC750 Boost Wireless Range Extender free for my review. With that being said up front, I would have definitely bought this device for use in my home. I currently am subscribed to Time Warner Cables High Speed at 60 Mbps download and I use their standard cable modem with dual band wifi. I have a 5 br 2 story home with an attached garage and have the cable modem on the ground floor at the far side of the house. This is where the cable best came into the house closest to TWC house hookup box on the outside. I do have pretty good wifi range already however when I try and connect in the garage which is on the opposite end of house I do experience connection problems. Really any room at opposite end of home has awful wifi coverage. Kitchen, living room, and the dinning area. This is where the Linksys AC750 Boost Wireless Range Extender helped. When I got it I was only focused on extending my wifi to my garage. This was done with ease. I plugged in the unit upstairs in my living room on the far wall of house. Really the farthest away I could from the cable modem/router. I hit the wps button on the side like it said in directions then I tapped the wps button on the modem. I watched the color change on front of extender and tapped the wps again on extender and then again on modem. It sets up each band available separately. ie 2.4 and 5 Ghz. That was it, I was done. It seemed to have connected to my TWC without any issues. I went to garage and I configured the new wifi connection on my phone. The extender adds a new SSID with _ext after for each channel it extends. I had available on my phone both the 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz channels available and they where at full strength. I connected to the 5.0 ext and opened my speedtest.net app. I added a photo of the screen shot of me standing in my garage where before I had nearly zero wifi coverage. Connected to the extender I was able to download at well over the 60 Mbps mark. Wow is all I can say. Once the unit is programed to your wifi you can unplug and move where ever you need wifi extended. I do this when I mow my yard to listen to streaming music on my head phones. Works perfect. Before the stream would switch from wifi to cell coverage once I got out of range and it literally drove me crazy because each time it did this the music would stop. On the box it says that the coverage is for up to 6500 SQ FT. I would say it does every bit of this and more with the beam forming technology. Love, Love, Love my new wifi range extender. Thank you Linksys friends and family.

Extended range I am joyed my new device. I found it very useful for listening to my music online when I'm in the garage or backyard working. While working in the back of the house I was able to move the range extender from one end of house to the other to increase my range did not need to reprogram. Set up was really easy and super fast I think I did it under two minutes. Download speed is great. It has a Ethernet ports on range extender provides connectivity to wired device. Works great on my old laptop that the wireless speed is so slow with now a hardwire connection I'm able to surf with high-speed connection.

Not working as thought Wi-Fi Extenders should be!
I purched it thinking it would work when moving my Wi-Fi laptop, part of my home network, would automatically hook up using the same Network as I went from the present location to another location without changing network & password. Doesn't work that way! It does work for other devices that remain in the new locations.

Meets expectations
I've had issues with slow and marginal wifi in some areas of my hone, the router is in the basement, and reception was weal once it reached the second floor bedrooms and the office on the ground floor at the far end of the floor. I tried this range extender, and it worked!
Set up was easy , and the instructions were simple and clear. Everything worked as described, and the network was found and extended. I now have full signal in all areas of the house - as best I can tell from all bars showing in my wifi icon. Not much more to say... which is a good thing.
The instructions showed images of some signal strength software, used to find the best spot for the device - I never saw it nor used it. Not sure if it was part of the install package.
My only concern is that the extender works by creating an additional network with the ".ext" extension on the name. I have to manually pick the new network. It will use the same login info as the existing network. I'd prefer that the networks switch based on signal strength.
I did receive this in return for my unbiased review.

Easy to set up and great signal boost
I received the AC750 Boost WiFi Range Extender earlier this week. The instructions for Wi-Fi protected setup were clear and easy to follow. I located the extender in an outlet at the bottom of the staircase that lead to the second floor of my house. Within minutes of plugging the extender in, the connection to the router was successful for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. I checked my download speed on my iPhone prior to switching to the 5 GHz_EXT network. It was 14.77 MBps. After I switched to the 5 GHz extender network, my download speed at the same location on the second floor had increased by over four-fold to 69.56 MBps. The AC750 range extender increased both the coverage and signal strength significantly.

Ease of Setup and Excellent Range.
I currently own a Linksys E6400 N router. While this adequate for my home, where I had to place my router limits it's ability to reach my small shop. I recieved my RE6300 and followed the Quick Start Guide for a browser installation, I'm a "Gadget Guy", I like to be more hands on. Literally, the setup took less than one minute. Using the built in spot finder I was able to optimize the placement of the range extender between my router and the shop and now I have 4 bars of connection where I was lucky to get 1 before. Excellent product, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is having spotty WiFi connection issues.

While I have installed several of Linksys products and had no issues I found that I could not install this product using the WPA method. Super easy to setup with the WPS button, had it up and running within 5 minutes.
Does the job of extending wifi. I can now stay on wifi till the end of my long driveway.
Its worth noting that it creates a new wifi connection name - so you'd end up with your original network and then the _ext (extension) one.

I replaced my Linksys REN600 Pro with this updated an faster model. Set up took about 3 minutes. I have a fairly complicated home network setup and I was able to attach all my devices without any issues.

Extremely easy to set up
I needed something to extend my EA6900 LINKSYS Router WiFi. Main device was a wireless HP Printer about 50 feet from the EA6900. I was only getting 2 bars on the printer. The RE6300 was extremely easy to set up. I followed the Quick Start Guide using the WPS Setup. Within a couple of minutes I had the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks extended. No need to go into the browser based setup. I did some "unscientific" test and validated that by moving the RE6300 25 feet from the EA6900 router I got about 25 feet of extended range. After connecting the HP Printer to the RE6300 extender I know get 5 bars and no longer need to run a hard wire connection. It did take a little time to position the RE6300 in the correct spot in the house. This was mainly due to finding a centrally located spot where the RE6300 would be safe from pets and kids. :) The location determination was simplified by using the Spot Finder function. The only negatives I found was that the Spot Finder function is not well documented and I didn't find a anything which noted that you sign on to the extended WiFi network using the same security phrase as one signs on to the non-extended (original) WiFi network. One finds the Spot Finder in the browser based setup in the Wireless Settings (refer to the attached photos "Browser Setup - Wireless Setting" and "Spot Finder").

The simplest network device I ever installed
I have a pretty large house over 3 levels with my main network WiFi router in the corner of the top floor (Linksys EA9200). While the reception throughout most of the house is good, there were few dark spots in the lower floor (encased in armored concrete) and the reception in the garage and throughout the garden (on the opposite side of the house than the router is) was lacking. Range extender was the first thought, but I had concerns about their reliability and their ability to actually stream video (call it bad experiences years ago ;) ).
I got the RE6300 and when I unpacked it I was surprised about very short instructions. One side about routers with WPS button (which EA9200 has) and one side about browser set up. There is a link to advanced configuration in instructions if anyone needs it.
Installation: I chose WPS.
The steps are very simple... basically press a button on the router, press a button on the range extender, wait... repeat... then move the range extender to desired position. Very straight forward. Very simple. And best: very much working in less than 5 minutes without any complexity of passwords, entering error prone TCP/IP addresses and other unnecessary things.
Result:
I have now perfect reception throughout the house, garage, garden. My whole wireless smart house system works (part of it are TCP/IP based and needed good reception). I can watch a movie streaming in the garden (I tested in full HD resolution!) and I connected 6 devices on both networking ranges to the range extender without bowing it down.
Reliability:
Working now for a week without a glitch. No reboots, not problems.
In summary:
Easy wins... and I do not think it gets easier than this. In addition it provides a large range and more than enough speed. If I would need more range I would get another one, but this covers everything I need. :)

Easy and Effective!
Whenever I get any new electronic device the one thing that I hope for the most is that it will simply work as advertised, but that isn't usually how it goes. I am happy to report that this is one of those rare products that is easy to set up and then simply works, and works great! I received the range extender a week ago and immediately set it up. Set up literally took me two minutes with no hassles and immediately solved our low signal problem on the second floor of our home. There is no drop off in connection speeds and every device we connect gets full bars, it doesn't get any better than that. I received the Linksys RE6300 AC750 Boost Wi-Fi range extender free from Linksys but I would have gladly paid full price knowing what I know now.

Easy
Opened the box, plugged it in, used my smart phone to program, done. It did have an IP conflict, but that was also easy to fix. Moved it to a central location and the signal boost was enough to put the tv on wifi, couldn't do that before.

So far... VERY good!
When I purchased my new Linksys router, this extender came with it. With my old router there were areas in my home that were without service, so with Linksys bundling this Range Extender with a router, I jumped on it! It works very, very well and "takes over" when the range from the actual router is exceeded by the device's location in my home. I really like it since I installed it. I will say that the installation documentation could have been better. Better diagrams could have been provided and the button that the user is to push to begin the setup wasn't identified. But, I hunted and pecked and got it going after a short time. Again, So far... VERY good!

Property is covered
I received a Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender free sample from Linksys a few days ago and I tell you, I should have had this thing a long time ago. I sometime take my laptop out to the barn and workshop with me when working on projects and sometimes have to stay in the corner of the workshop to pickup my wireless signal from the house. After installing the extender, I can now be anywhere on the property, even the property next door. I would recommend this product to anyone with a large house or property for better coverage. My friend next door went out and purchased one the same day he saw how great this one worked out for me. If you can't get a good signal with your current setup; run to your nearest dealer and get your Linksys RG6300. You will be glad you did. Thanks Linksys for solving my Wi-Fi problem.

Great Range
I have been using the Linksys RE6300 wi-fi range extender for about one month and I'm very pleased with the performance. I'm not a huge techie, but I know how to check signal strength, speed, etc. My main pc is in my office which is on the 2nd floor, front side of the house. My service provider modem is on the first floor at the rear of the house. I have the extender plugged into a hall outlet at the top of the stairs just outside of my office. Now I can move my office up one floor and use this room for other use. The signal is always a full 5 bars and it's exactly what I wanted. Linksys also kicked in a free AC1200 wireless-ac usb adapter, valued at $59.99. So for about $65.00 I got both and free shipping, you can't beat that anywhere !!!

Installation Issues
Although,I'm sure the issue is with my router (AT&T Uverse), the product states it is compatible with all routers. I tried both the WPS as well as the browser setup. Neither worked. While I don't have a problem calling technical support, I figured that a product that said it was easily setup and compatible with all routers should work without contacting technical support.

So far I am not impressed. The quick set up did not work (even though I have a new Linksys router that it was connecting to). The light is a constant yellow and I have set the unit up correctly, so I'm not sure what to think of it. I will have to call customer service, but I was not expecting to have to do that for such a simple set up. Perhaps when they get it working I will see the quality I expected.

Excellent Coverage
I installed this extender (AC12000 Amplify) in hopes of improved wireless signal outside on my pool deck for music streaming. This extender did not disappoint. I now have four bars of coverage where before I had one bar with intermittent loss of wi-fi. The install was quick and easy, it found my existing networks (2.4ghz and 5ghz). I entered my security passcode and was connected in less than 5 minutes. This is a definite must have if you are experience weak wi-fi in your home.

Great Coverage and Fast Speeds
This device was very easy to setup and use. Setup is super simple with the wps button on your router or there is the traditional web based setup which is what I used. I used my iphone to connect to the device and it found my 2.4ghz and my 5Ghz networks. All I needed to do was enter my network passwords and the wireless extender setup everything else. It created 2 extender wireless networks that I can easily connect too when I am out of range of my current wireless network. The best feature was the Spot Finder Technology which is the ability to see if the extender was connected in the correct location from your router and not too far away. You can move the extender to different power outlets to see which location will provide the best coverage for your situation. I used the extender with the Linksys WRT1900AC and it helped me reach dead spots in my backyard and in my garage, so I now have full coverage all over my house. The addition of the gigabit ethernet port allowed me to connect a laptop that I leave in my kitchen get great speeds. If your looking to expand your wireless network and maintain high speeds, this is the extender to get.

No More Dead Spots
There are a couple ways to setup the wireless range extender, Browser-based, using wifi or ethernet. The other way is using WPS. The instructions are included in the box and its very easy to setup. I went with the Ethernet cable, I plugged a CAT5 into the range extender and the other end into my computer to set it up. Like i said it was very easy, I just went to 192.168.1.1 and followed the instructions.
Once I had it configured I placed it in my garage, I then went to the back of my house where I could never get a 5ghz wifi connection and I was able to get 85mbps download and 25mbps upload. I was shocked that I went from not being able to see my 5ghz network to those speeds.
I also went to my mailbox and was able to stay connected to the 5ghz network and still reach speeds of 50/20. So pretty much any where in my yard I can have a connection, not to mention walk down the street and still have a connection.
I had no issues streaming music, or watching youtube on any of the 2.4 or 5 ghz networks. The range extender is easy to setup and use. I no longer have to worry about dead spots in my house.

Double you wireless connection speed
I own a Linksys WRT1900ACS router. This is a great router but it just doesn't reach my patio with a strong signal. So I have installed the Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi range extender. First of all, installation is very easy. I went with the manual setup. Once I connected to its default SSID, it saw my existing WiFi signals and asks for PSK to connect. It failed to connect at first. However, once I rebooted my WiFi router, it connected fine. I have a MacBook that I use at home. Using the system information utility to check WiFi strength and speed, I can connect to my existing 5 GHz network with a transmit rate of 162. At the same distance, the transmit speed connecting to my range extender increased to 216. In the 2.4 GHz network, transmit rate went from 39 to 104. The increase in signal strength makes the RE6300 a definite "must have" to eliminate those dead spots. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to improve coverage area.

Amazingly simple setup
I wanted a range extender so I could my multiple mobile devices through out my home as well as outside on the patio. This device more than satisfies that requirement. Before I installed the device, I had several areas within my home with limited coverage -- and virtually no coverage outside. With the device, I have maximum signal everywhere I need it. Setup is amazingly simple. Because my router is on top of my entertainment center and could not easily reach the button to do a wi-fi protected setup, I did a browser based setup using the online software. I was up and running in about 5 minutes.

AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender
The Linksys AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender is a sleek and compact plug-in device intended to bridge the gap between the current range of your router and dead or weak spots within your home. Installing, “setting up” or otherwise engaging a new digital component can sometime frustrate, therefore I read the “Quick Start Guide” before performing any installation attempt to limit unexpected surprises during process. The guide is well and concisely written. Do you know what WPS is and does your router have it? The guide defines it and describes how to tell if your router has a WPS button, a requirement for the “easy set-up” but not a requirement of setting-up. The extender can also be set-up via a Browser-based installation which is explained under “Browser-based setup” in the guide.
Having read the Guide I went to my router, found that I did, indeed, have WPS button and then, following the instructions, plugged the extender into an electrical wall outlet near the router. An LED indicator on the Extender started to blink green. You are instructed to wait until the LED starts blinking amber, at which time you are to press the WPS button on your router (which I previously found). Then, with-in the next two minutes, you are to press the WPS button on the side of the Extender. It is quite visible and you should look for it as you read through the “Quick Start Guide” initially. Once pressed the button lite up and the LED indicator began blinking green. After a brief period the blinking green LED should turn Solid Green. The solid green LED indicates the connection between the router and extender was successful. If, however, the LED begins to blink amber the connection was not made, which is what I experienced. So, pressing the WPS button on the router again followed by pressing the WPS button on the extender began the process again. This effort resulted in the “Solid Green” LED indicating the connection was successful.
The previous procedure connected the 2.4 GHz network to the extender. If your router has both 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz network capability you will most likely want the 5 GHz network connected also, just repeat the steps performed for the 2.4 GHz network. I did this I was able to connect on the first attempt.
Once you have made the connection(s) you need to move the Extender to a location that will bridge the gap between receiving a good signal and receiving a poor, or no signal. Simply unplug the extender and plug it into an outlet near the edge of your weak or no signal area. You should have at least two bars of reception at the location you choose.
Once you’ve selected the location, set your Wi-Fi connection on your device to “Your normal connection name” + _Ext. So, if your network name is “JackSprat” look for the new network name of “JackSprat_Ext” in your connection list and connect to it. You will need your password for the original “JackSprat” network.
That is all there is to it, simple and easy, on very few occasions have I setup a device as easily as this. Surprisingly, there are no drivers or software to install, it simply, just works.
I noticed online complaints about Spot Finder. This is a feature of the Extender that isn’t discussed in the Guide but is worthy of mention. To use it you simply log into the Linksys site: extender.linksys.com. Using the password provided in the Guide, log-in. Scroll down the page and select “Wireless.” Under “Wireless” you’ll find “Spot Finder,” select it and using the display as a guide, move the Extender to different outlets in the building you are trying to extend the wireless.
Caution, when you unplug the Extender from the wall outlet your device will reconnect to its previous regular connection, so reset it so you are reading from the Extender, i.e., “network”_Ext.
The set-up and use of the AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender was easy and, actually, one of the simplest processes I’ve dealt with concerning digital products. It has extended the range of my wireless and I am receiving much better signals in areas that previously were poor at best. I am very pleased with its performance and would recommend it without reservation.

Easy Setup & Great Range
I received my AC750 boost wi-fi range extender last week and have been testing it out the last several days. It is extremely easy to set up and we are using it for our upstairs bonus room that was receiving poor/spotty reception to no reception. The range extender has now allowed us to connect our Apple TV and DVD player that has a wi-if connection without our service being dropped, interrupted or lag time. We have 1 gig of internet speed so lagging should never have been an issue but before the extender we just couldn't keep a consistent signal. I would highly recommend this for anyone who might have a dead zone/spot in their home. It took about 5 to 7 minutes to setup and the instructions were completely straight forward and easy to follow.

Linksys RE6300
Received this item from Linksys for free in return for honest review. It was very easy to set up and get operating. While it does seem to improve coverage in my basement, the area that was the weakest, you have to go to the device settings and choose either the original Linksys set up or the new Linksys Ext wireless. It is an easy change, but I was hoping that there would be a seamless changeover to the extended network.

Setup went smoothly although it failed using the WPS push the buttons automatic setup. It would not connect with my wrt-190 ac router. However the web based setup went smooth and without any hitches. The manual was clear and easy to follow.

What a product!
I have been looking for a Wi-Fi Extender, buying the no frills brand to save a dollar.
You get what you pay for, but now i have tried the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender. My prayers have been answered. Set up was a breeze with the WPS button. It was easy and connected on the first try, never with the other brands, would have to connect to the extender with a network cable, and after making the changes it would never stay. Now my daughter can surf in her room with the door closed. I can watch Netflix with no "Buffering". I have connected my Fire Stick and no problems, strong signal. This is the Wi-Fi extender i have been dreaming about. Spend the extra money and buy a product that you will be very happy with. Why did i wait. Linksys has always made great products and this is no exception. If you have "dead spots" or weak areas in you home, this is the answer. It is a little bigger than i expected but other than that, fantastic. My home is older and has concrete walls, wi-fi was just in the room with the router and the surrounding areas, now its in all the rooms.

RE6300 is easy to setup/use! Only took 15 minutes!
Received the Linksys AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE6300) today. Box was packaged well. Unpacked from box and plugged in close to my Linksys EA6900 Router
Did Wi-Fi Protected Setup with my Linksys EA6900 Router.
- Pushed button on RE6300
- Pushed button on screen of Linksys Smart Wi-Fi utility’s Wi-Fi Protected Setup tab (located under the Wireless menu).
After about 30 seconds, this setup the 2.4Ghz extended network automatically. Did it again (same Wi-Fi Protected Setup)… and after about 30 seconds, this setup the 5Ghz extended network automatically.
Placement of device is KEY to success. We have a big house with 3 levels so I had to unplug and move the device 4 times until I got a good connection on Spot Finder (in the green). My final location was plugged into “an out of the way” outlet in the middle of the stairs behind a plant. I chose this because it was almost in the exact middle of the house and it would not easily be kicked or knocked out of the wall when walking by it. The signal can also make it downstairs to the bottom level and garage/driveway.
I followed the instructions to get to the RE6300 setup. Once there, I named the SSID the same as the main Linksys router (select the option “Make same as router settings” – you need to do this for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks) and while it is harder to change the configuration once you do this, I found it the best choice for ease of use by my family and friends. I would recommend this setup option to anyone else setting up an RE6300. I plan on just setting this device up once and forgetting about it so this should only be a one-time consideration.
In the RE6300 setup, I also renamed the Admin password on the RE6300 to a safer password (not the default “admin”) that matched my EA6900 router (easier for me to use the same for both).
I tried the extended 2.4G and 5G networks on the main level and found substantial improvement and now I can get wireless in the garage and further into the yard. My family (not fully aware of this new device) is now calling me a hero because they always complained about a bad signal on the main level of the house and now have a great signal. The RE6300 also helps save us money on our cellular bill because our iPhones no longer have to borrow data from our plan due to weak signals.
The RE6300 is a great product that is easy to setup and use. It only took me 15 minutes to setup and put in the final spot. It also arrived when we needed a better solution. We love it and would definitely recommend to our family and friends.

The Linksys RE6300 Wi-Fi range extender was quick and easy to get up and running. Using the Quick Start Guide that comes with the RE6300, it took no more than 20 minutes from unboxing the device to making a network connection in a part of the house where previously I could not get a reliable Wi-Fi signal. Logging into the administrator's port allowed me to optimize the location of the RE6300. You should use very different colors like blue and red. Not green and yellow. I can hardly tell the colors apart. I live in an old apartment building that not very big but I bought this to strengthen the wi-fi and it's still slow.

RE6300 AC750 Linksys WiFi range Extender
First let me share the setup issues I had. When I tried to set up via WPS I was not successful. I thought it was me so I call Linksys support. The person from Linksys was very friendly but we had to run every test in the book. If you call, be ready to go from PC to your router to the extender. I worked with him for 6 hours and he said he would have to pass it off to the group with more knowledge. They called me back and after 2 and a half hours more, I was able to get it on my Linksys network. One word passed to me during setup is that the extender will cut your speed in half.
My router is in the basement and the extender is on the main floor and the upper level is where I have issue making connection. The extender does allow me to make connection but the speed is 1/4 of my Att Uverse speed. In the basement it is very low.
Overall, it helps in my upstairs area but not in the basement.
If you buy an extender expect your speed to decrease about 1/2.
Thanks Linksys for the opportunity to test.

Problem Solver
Thank you Linksys! I just received my RE6300/AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender and immediately went about setting it up. Thanks to the well thought out Quick Start Guide and the ease of WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) I was up and running in about 15 minutes without any complications on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks. This is the exact opposite of other products I had tried. Furthermore it solved two major issues: 1) slow Internet performance in my home office one floor below my gateway and 2) the inability to use an Ethernet only multifunction printer. Thanks to the AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender I saw an 11% increase in my transmission rate and a 18% increase in ping times. Thanks to the zero-config Ethernet port on the range extender my wired printer is now available throughout the house on all mobile devices. Problems solved! Thanks Linksys.

Couldn't be easier to set up
Quick-start guide can walk you through the setup in about 2 minutes, and 4 steps. If you can tell green from amber, and solid lights from blinking, you can set this up. Works perfectly and easily doubled the coverage from my router (non-Linksys). I specifically wanted to use this to extend the coverage to outside my house (for porch and patio sitting) since my router is in the basement and couldn't stretch that far. I put this in the middle first floor and *mission accomplished*.
Speeds are good, at least matching the router (802.11n). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone needing more coverage inside, or outside their house.

Couldn't be any easier to extend
My home has had several dead zones for ever, I mean even those door speaker boxes that communicate over the power wires fail to reach certain rooms which is also true for WIFI. So over the years I have tried several things to get my WIFI to reach everywhere I'm at while there. I used to have 6 WIFI routers in various areas all set to the same SSID, security settings, channel width and channel number. This works fairly well but does rely on the client end when roaming to associate with the closest and strongest AP. Having fewer devices might make that handoff better but it comes with possibility that some areas will still have low signal strength and hence lower bandwidth. Now I have my main router centrally located in the home with 2 extenders that cover the dead zones and could not be happier.

Outstanding extension of wifi.
I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. Extender located 22 feet from dual band router with signal thru one wall. IPad and iPhone located in house another 30 feet away from extender and thru another wall and have 3 bars. Outside patio about 35 feet away and thru one additional drywall, exterior masonry wall with aluminum cased windows and masonry fireplace the extender bounces between 2 bars and one bar. Could be ISP. IPad and iPhone on second floor, roughly 50 feet away from extender and thru 3 walls and carpet extender bounces between 2 bars and one bar. Quick Start has simple directions and graphics - makes set up easy. WPS setup did not work and had to use browser-based setup. Took about 20 minutes with
one interruption. Excellent wifi extension, easy to setup, fast response and pleasing product design. Recording hand written data in booklet is difficult due to glossy paper and unit set up seems to take more time than necessary - suggest sped up.

AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender
If you buy the product for the real purpose of expanding your home Wi-Fi the product is a great solution. I tried setting up on an Android Phone and IE11. Both can be done in under 3 minutes. The issues the tech people will have is the unit wants to take your network name and add the word _EXT. So Netname becomes Netname_ext. So for me in a 2 story house I have to remember to switch my Wi-Fi network when I move from one floor to another to get the optimal signal. I tried naming the same against the setup instructions and it can be done but my devices will not switch automatically. There are also some issues from other reviewers regarding MAC address filtering and if you want to use the feature you may be disappointed. The booster does do the job and I was able to extend my signal to my rear yard and inside my garage when placed near the area because of exterior walls. In summary if you just want to extend your network and boost an average to low signal you can virtually get a 100% signal but in my speed test I did lose about 15% speed. So for a simple expansion of your network accept you will have 2 network names in the house and you will be happy with the results and ease of setup. For the real techies who want everything and be able to change all the settings as they do in a router consider a higher end solution. Use it for its intended purpose and you will be very happy.

Solved a wifi signal strength in my house
I have a medium sized old house with my Wifi Router on the first floor. On the second floor of the house the wifi signal is weak or inconsistent making wireless access frustrating. I was researching WiFi range extenders already and fortuitously received a free AC750 WiFi Range Extender from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback.
The setup is very easy if your router supports WiFi Protected Setup (WPS). Apparently it also works even if you don't have this but my router did. The initial install took less than 5 minutes and as per the instructions I moved my extender to a place where the signal was medium strength. That led to a fair to good performance on the 2nd floor of my house. But I was hoping for 5 bars everywhere so I kept working on it.
That led me to download two free mobile utilities; WiFi Analyzer and Speedtest.net from the Android appstore. Apparently WiFi Analyzer isn't available for iOS but I believe there are equivalents available. The WiFi Analyzer is a straightforward utility for anyone comfortable with technology. That educated me on which WiFi channels I was using and which ones were crowded with my neighbors WiFi communication. That led to me dedicating specific channels on the WiFi router. When I did that the performance became much better. A reminder, technically you've created a new hotspot (or 2 if you also have 5 GHz capability), so you'll need to connect your wireless devices to these networks to get the desired performance.
I also used a mobile (and free) version of Speedtest on my phone to benchmark the performance. That led to me moving my WiFi router to another room on the first floor.
The Linksys WiFi Range Extender got me to 75% of my complete gains, but using the non-Linksys utilities allowed me to fine tune the performance further. If you don't want to bother with the utilities I mention I think you'll still get value from the range extender.
The WiFi performance now on the first floor and via the WiFi range extender is now outstanding and I have WiFi download and upload speeds within 10% of the performance of an ethernet jack. That's outstanding.
Why 4 stars vs. 5 stars? .... It's not really the Range Extender's fault, but when you move around you will not automatically drop one connection and connect to another if the signal is better. The net effect in my house is that the signal from the first floor often stays connected to my devices when I travel to the 2nd floor - just with a weak signal. In those cases, I need to explicitly drop that connection and explicitly connect to the range extender. As a techie, that doesn't bother me a bit, but some folks (my spouse), doesn't want to go through that process.

Easy To Setup
I found the setup to be very easy, plugged it in, hit the Wi-Fi Protected setup buttons and waited a minute for it to connect. I moved it to a spot that was a good distance away from my router and short of where I had previously noticed a decrease in signal. In the end my 2.4 GHz signal was two or three times better and my 5 GHz signal went from unusable to quite good. Not having used a range extender before I would recommend the quick setup instruction include how to make the network settings the same so devices switch from the router to the extender easier.

I received Linksys RE6300 Wi Fi Range Extender through the Linksys friends and family consumer review program. I have a general knowledge of computers and printers and wi fi routers and an average knowledge when it comes to set up of such electronic equipment. Out of the box I found the set up and installation of the AC 750 to be very easy which is greatly appreciated. I can honestly say that this extender has cured a lot of my wi fi range problems and has greatly improved my wi fi experience on my mobile phone, smart TV and I Pad. I currently have 8 devices on my network and I am completely satisfied with this Linksys device. I Would definitely recommend this Linksys AC 750 to anyone in need of improving their wi fi network performance.

My Mother-inlaw goes to Maine every summer and last summer when I was visiting he wifi drove me nuts. The signal comes from the owners garage across the road and up the hill. I bought this unit and then tried the kitchen wall, then the dinning room wall, then the main hall and last tly the outlet in the Hall upstairs and bingo i have signal. On the porch, on the dock and in the cabin (3br/2Bath) I have strong signal and a smile on my face. This was well worth the 2 hr trip into to town.

Boost WiFi Network Performance
My home is located at an elevation of 6300 feet in a small mountain valley in Wyoming. Our location is remote and we receive our internet via a custom "line of site" dish that points to our internet provider in an adjacent town. I use a Linksys WRT1900AC router that has both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz bands. I run a one man consulting business from my home. My office (where the router is located) is at one end of my home. We have three televisions located at the opposite end of our 2,500 square foot home.
Before I installed the RE6300 AC750 extender, my televisions could only connect reliably to the WiFi router on the 2.4GHz band. I could try to set up a connection to the 5 GHz band and it would work for a while, but we had enough connection problems that we had to switch back to the 2.4GHz band.
Not anymore! Problem is solved now that I installed the RE6300 AC750 range extender. All televisions are now connected on the 5 GHz band and we are enjoying much quicker loads of shows that we watch on Netflix. Previously, we would load a Netflix video and the the progress indicator would be stuck near 25% for 15 or 20 seconds before proceeding to 100%. This wasn't a big problem, but I must say that it is much nicer now. Netflix videos load in less than 5 seconds.
Both my wife and I also use Kindle E-Readers. These are older models that only have a 2.4 GHz band. Most of the time, we use these only to read books. It used to be problematic to download books from the Amazon web site unless I took my Kindle to the office where the router is located. After installing the RE6300 AC750 range extender, I can now reliably download books from any room in my home. I tried in the past to watch videos from my Amazon Prime account on my Kindle, but the streaming was frequently interrupted and it just wasn't worth the hassle. Videos now download quickly and I can watch them without interruption.
Installation of the range extender with my WRT AC1900 router was a breeze. I simply followed the instructions provided in the "Quick Start Guide" using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). It's a really simple process. Just plug the extender into an outlet and wait for the light to turn solid green. Then, click the WPS button located on the rear of the WRT AC1900 router and then click the WPS button on the side of the extender. Wait for the blinking green light on the extender to turn solid. Once the light turns solid, the 2.4GHz band is set up. Repeat the process again and the 5 GHz band is setup. Once the setup was complete (took less than 5 minutes), I moved the extender to the opposite end of my house (closer to the TVs). After about a minute after plugging the extender into an AC outlet, it was ready to use.
On each TV, I entered the WiFi setup screen and searched for networks. Previously, I would see "Linksys_2.4GHz" and "Linksys_5Ghz". After installing the extender, these networks were still available, but in addition, I had two new networks called "Linksys_2.4GHz_Ext" and "Linksys_5GHz_Ext". These are the new more powerful extended networks.
I tried moving back and forth between the regular and the extended networks. The improved performance on the extended networks was very noticeable. I've only been using the range extender for a single day, but so far I must say that I am very impressed. I am curious to see what will happen when we lose power. We live in an area that has frequent lightning and we frequently get short energy bursts that reset our electronic equipment. Hopefully, everything will recover flawlessly after one of these events. I'll report back if we experience any problems.
For now, I have to say . . . buy this product if you have spotty WiFi performance in your home. You won't regret it.

Easy installation
This came this evening via UPS. The package was slightly damaged, but the box containing the range extender was unharmed.
Set up was easy using the Quick Start Guide. I recently replaced my wireless router, so I was able to use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). This was done quickly, about ten-minutes in total. The only "problem" I had was not really a problem. My wi-fi router is upstairs and I was setting up the range extender for the downstairs, so I had to run up and down a flight of stairs to push the necessary buttons. I did have a slight problem with the colors of the LED signal light. The green, to me, looked slightly amber. My good wife was able to determine that it was, in fact, green.
Using my iPad I was easily able to locate a good location for the range extender. Where before I didn't have 5G coverage throughout my house, especially downstairs, now I have a strong 4 bar 5G signal throughout the house.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that I have just started using the range extender. If I'm able to I will update after using in for a while. But based on my experience so far, I definitely recommend this router.
Please note that I received this router free with the proviso that I give an honest review. These are my honest opinions.

Works well, but set-up hard
I bought this to replace a D-Link which died after about a year (booo). I had a devil of a time getting it to link however. Nowhere does the manual tell you that the password that it wants is not the default password ("admin"), but rather the same password as your base router uses. It took numerous attempts and a lengthy phone call to my internet provider to finally sort things out. It could have been so much easier. Range is great and it seems to work well (no dropped signals).

Doesn't work for me.
I'm in an RV park with weak WiFi. I don't have a router. I set it up and it says I'm too far from the router ( tower ). Doesn't matter where I locate it in the RV, the signals too weak. I bought an Alfa WiFi extender that plugs into a USB port and it increases the signal from 2 to 5 bars. Unfortunately it's no good for iPad or cell phones which is what I bought your for.

Easy Setup Fix Dead Spot
This is a great extender. First regarding the actual setup and integration to my home network it was extremely easy... In my case I have 2 kids ( 18 month and a 3 year old). This situation doesn't allow me to really sit down for hours to figure out configurations, or do to much troubleshooting. So while my kids where playing and jumping in top of me I was able to just use my phone, enter the URL in the browser and in about 5 to 6 answer (yes no questions) the Extender was already setup in my network...
Second is the actual antennas, they rotate 360 degrees so when I plug it into the wall I'm able to just point them where aver I need to. This made the process of finding the right outlet not a bad experience. I did need it to try difference outlets so all the dead zone where cover... Third is the actual IP address and network. This is really a true extender. I have try using old router as my extender in the pass but this only create 2 difference networks, wish made it very difficult to communicate along other computers. With this extender my device IP stays the same so there is not change in my network at all.. Also it support the 2 frequency of 2.4 and 5 GHz so no issues with ether one of them... I really love this extender, now I'm able to stay in my garage working and use my network with having to use a super long cable...

Wi-Fi in my garage
I got this with the intent of extending my Wi-Fi network into my detached garage, and so far, this has done the trick. My RE6300 is plugged into an outlet in my garage, roughly 250 ft. away from my AC/Wi-Fi 5 router. (The garage itself is cinderblock, and the router is in the middle of my house.) The LinkSys admin. portal for this device shows it as being outside of the ideal range, but it still performs well. One thing that may have helped is that I set up my RE6300 inside my house (to have a good signal) then moved it to my garage.

I bought this device hoping to extend an AT&T Router in my home office. Right out of the box, I had problems setting it up. I followed the very poorly written instruction provided in the box and even went online after calling tech support. We spent about an hour on the phone and got it working, it neve turned green the status light and the instructions stated that yellow was a weak signal. Tech support stated that it was an off color green not yellow, I am trying return it and getting a lot of resistace from Dell and not response basically to it not working. I am very disappointed in this device and would give it a lower rating if I could.I

It was easy to install, the "spot finder" is not an active tool though, you have to install it in a location, and then check the spot finder, and then move it, and reinstall it, and check the "spot finder" again. It would be better if it was something you downloaded on your mobile device and walked around and it pinpointed the spot that way, which is how I thought it worked.

It worked right out the box. The instructions were very simple. I use it for my Sons tv and my Main tv in our den. Keeps all the traffic off the main connections. I’ve only had to reset my tvs twice since I e had the booster and it was mainly because of a couple of rolling storms we encountered. Overall great purchase, it will run my two TVs, an iPad, MacBook, 2 cellphones without missing a beat. Then when I’m on the other side of the house my portable devices just jumó back into the main hub.

Linksys RE6300 Useful For More Than WiFi Extender
I neede a way to connect an Ethernet-wired device to my new Verizon LTE home network. I recently switched from the standard modem ---> Router network to the integrated Verizon LTE Gateway. The catch was that the Gateway required direct line of sight access to a Verizon tower which I had, but it meant not being able to plug in the Ethernet cable that was directly wired to my outdoor generator because the Verizon Gateway was nowhere near where that cable used to be. So, the Linksys RE6300 serves as a Ethernet access point to my wireless home network. Setting up the Linksys was a breeze- I followed the enclosed instructions, and it worked fine the first time. Hint: when you first plug the Linsys in, it blinks green. Be patient- the orange blinking status takes a few minutes to occur. So, in sum, this Linksys RE6300 can function as more than a WiFi extender. It works great to allow access to Ethernet-wired devices whose cables might not reach your router.

Came defective out of box.
Was very excited for this product, During all of this chaos, it took fedex a week to ship after paying for next day. After dealing with all the frustration of just trying to acquire this item, it came defective upon first use. The Ethernet port seemed to disconnect every few seconds, even when not stimulating the connection, it will just idly turn on and off periodically. The wireless stayed on just fine and no connection lost there, but the purpose of buying this product was to extend the wireless range and plug in directly through Ethernet.
Returned it the same day.
I see others are having the same issue on the forums. If you want something solely for wireless it's still a great machine, extends the signal greatly, solid connection. Otherwise you just have to try your luck with the Ethernet port of these machines.

Up and running in minutes
I got this item a couple days ago and works as described. The set up was done easily through the browser on a tablet. It's connected to a Linksys AC1750 wireless router. Range is much improved towards the front of the house, spare bedrooms and garage/driveway. The wireless router/modem is in the living room at the very back of the house (single story home 2,300 sq ft). The spot finder was convienient in finding the best placement for the extender however, the settings menu would sometimes show a 404 error and say it wasn't connected when it was. I would have to reload the page or reboot the extender so it would come up again. I had to plug it in upside down to not block the light sensor on the led wall plate.

Easy installation, great wireless coverage.
The wireless signal and internet speed in my 2-storey house works great downstairs but upstairs the wireless signal is weaker and internet slower while streaming Netflix from my Windows laptop to my TV and my wife using WIFI for her IPAD and Iphone in a separate room. I had been considering getting a wireless range extender for a while but couldn't decide if what I really needed was a new more powerful router to replace my 3 year old wireless router.
My wireless router is a Linksys E900 Wireless-N300 Router connected to a cable modem on the first floor of my two story house. Linksys solved my indecision by sending me a free RE-6300 AC750 Boost WIFI Range Extender in return for posting an online product review. Apparently registering your Linksys products online does have unexpected benefits!
Installation of the RE-6300 wireless range extender was easy and fast due to my existing Linksys brand wireless router. I plugged the RE-6300 Range extender into an electrical outlet close to my wireless router, pressed the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on my wireless router, then pressed the WPS button on the RE-6300 range extender. Within about 2 minutes the RE-6300 LED indicator goes from blinking amber to solid green and the connection was complete. There are instructions included for connecting to other brands of wireless routers but I didn't need them.
After the RE-6300 range extender was linked to my wireless router it could be unplugged and relocated. I moved it upstairs and plugged it into a convenient hallway outlet. My upstairs slow internet issue was solved! I recommend this product as a simple and easy way to extend your wireless network range.

Very Easy Setup
I received the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender a few days ago. Our house is a two-story, 4-bedroom home so there are some areas with weak Wi-Fi reception - the master bedroom and the front room, so this would be a good test of the extender.
Upon opening the box, one notices there is only the device, a foldout card with the setup instructions, the typical regulatory information booklet, and a sheet with the tech support number. While waiting on my daughter to get ready for school, I attempted to setup the device. Scanning over the Quick Start Guide, I used the Wi-Fi Protected Set (WPS) instructions. It couldn't have been any easier. In less than 10 minutes (closer to 5 to 7 minutes) I was logged onto the extended network. The device supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and I had set up both of them.
Resetting the device, I then tried using the device's webpage to setup the range extender. This was also very easy as the webpage guides you through the process. There is also an aid to help you locate the device in your location for optimal performance. Once the device was set up again I ran some speed tests on the 4 different Wi-Fi connections I now had, the original 2.4 and 5 GHz and the extended 2.4 and 5 GHz in both my master bedroom and the front room.
At both locations, the extended 2.4 GHz band was comparable to the speed of the original 2.4 GHz band but the extended 5 GHz band was at least double the speed of the original 5 GHz band at that location. The 5 GHz band was faster than both of the 2.4 GHz bands at each location. Of course your results will vary from mine but I am impressed with the improvement.
I've had the extender for almost a week. After a week, I've noticed that the 5 GHz band has been consistently faster than the source 5 GHz. The 2.4 GHz extended band is sometimes faster and sometimes slower.

Great Product for the price
I received this and it was easy to hookup with the quick start guide. Had no problem hooking it up to my Linksys EA6500 and my Xfinity router. I tried setting it up with both the WPS method and the manual method both worked flawlessly. Only trouble I had was getting into the configuration site on Linksys with the Chrome browser but switching to IE solved this. I was able to change password and port forward and check for firmware updates with no problems. All in all this is a great product for the price. I am using it as a extender for my detached garage as I already have another router in my basement and one on first floor. This extender allows me to connect with a strong signal anywhere on my 1 acre property. The only downside to this product is that you can only move the antennas forward or down and not to the side and they will not swivel that way which makes it no a good idea to have it sitting in a outlet behind a chair or couch. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants to extend there range of their router either it be the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Great Coverage and Easy to Use
I got this range extender after many failed extenders. To setup the range extender all you have to do is plug it in and connected it to your existing network, it took me less than five minutes. The coverage on this extender is excellent. Wireless AC makes a huge difference as it can concentrate the signal directly to my phone. Overall great product, and if you have bad WiFi, this will solve it.

I was sent this free router for an honest review , as part of the Family and Friends Rewview group. I was very impressed with the easy set-up - as it took less than 35 min from opening the box to using this RE on-line. The Quick start guide made set up extremely easy and the range on this RE is awesome. I am getting internet service both across the street and at the very back of my backyard. If your looking for a RE I highly recommend this one.

Not terrible device
Used the WPS button on my Linksys router and the extender. It paired but didn't provide the right configuration within my IP scope. Ended up with intermittent connectivity. Ended up spending several hours trying to get it to connect and stay connected without dropping a link (when it was still within the range to the router).

Amazing Product and Awesome Range!!!
I was provided this range extender as part of the Linksys customer review program. I was mailed the LINKSYS RE6300 AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender for product review.
The instructions and Quick start guide made it very simple setup. It took me less than 15 min. to get the unit up and running. I did not use the WPS button since my cable provided router did not support this feature.
I was in the market for a range extender since my coverage in my house was very limited on on entire side of my home to include the master bedroom. Once I connected the AC750 my dead zones were gone. It also extended the range outside of my house as well which was an added feature that I did not plan.
I have also used this product for online gaming with my PS4 and it worked flawlessly.
I would highly recommend this range extender to friends and family members looking for an extension of their wireless service.

NOT SO GREAT
Just purchased and setup the extender to my Belkin router system and its not as great as they make it sound. Signals are a fraction better than without. We are talking about a distance of perhaps 26 feet away from the router and don't see how it could possible cover up to 6500 sq ft unless it was wide open.

Linksys WiFi Range Extender - Good product !
I needed my WiFi access extended to use in all parts of our home. I received the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST WiFi Range Extender from Linksys as a free sample in exchange for my honest opinion on its' features. AC750 Boost Replaces Existing Configuration
My configuration prior to testing the Linksys AC750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender was a Linksys E4200 connected to my Cox internet POP. The 4200 then fed a Linksys E1000 on the other side of the house via two Rocketfish Powerline units. Replacing the 1000 and Rocketfish with the AC750 boosted speeds on the far side of the house 20%!
Speedtests were performed three different ways: 1) Existing configuration with two routers and Rocketfish, 2) one router with the AC750 without gaming and 3) one router with the AC750 while gaming (Gaming = son playing xBox).
Speeds jumped dramatically w/the AC750 w/o gaming and even with gaming, speeds were considerably faster than existing configuration. Most importantly, streaming movies quit buffering in the den via the AC750; even while gaming.
I’m impressed with this unit and will keep it as my on-going configuration.

Nice Features, does not really work.
I bought this item 3 days ago. The setup, when it finally worked by switching to IE from Chrome, was easily performed. Unfortunately once set up, even with 5 bars of strength, the wireless connection is intermittent making even the most basic of web browsing unbearable. I have gone through different troubleshooting steps, positioning, the usual all to still not having it working. The device is being returned from where I got it.

Amazing Range!
I received this product just over a week ago and in less than five minutes, I had completed the install and configuration. The directions were very easy to read and understand. The RE6300 AC750 had no issue finding my wireless network and configuring to my security policies via the WPS setup. I run a dual channel wireless network, and therefore, I had to run the WPS setup twice - this is important to remember, because if you run the setup once, then you will only have the single 2.4 GHz channel configured. After configuring the RE6300, I was able to log into the range extender with no issue and change the admin password along with setting for the option of either auto-updating or not to auto update.
I have used range extenders in the past, but they were configured for 802.11g/n with little range distance, and they frequently needed to be reset. I was excited to try this with the A/C feature. It easily extended my wifi signal over the area of my dead range as well as extend to my backyard (where I intend to spend a lot more time). The day after I installed this unit, I was in my backyard while logged in to my job from my laptop! This product will boost your wireless home network with little to no effort.

Quick Start
My network already consists of a Linksys WRT1900ACS Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with Ultra-Fast 1.6 GHz CPU, two Linksys Media Hubs w/1 TB HD and LCD card readers, a Linksys WUMC710 Wireless-AC Bridge, a Linksys RE6500 AC1200 Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender, a Linksys RE6700 AC1200 AMPLIFY Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender, more than a dozen Linksys WMP600N Dual-Band Wireless-N PCI Adapters, a Linksys AE6000 Wireless-AC Mini USB Adapter, a Linksys WUSB6300 AC1200 Wireless-AC USB Adapter, and a wide assortment of other network connected wired and wireless devices. I added this Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender to eliminate the dead zone in the mudroom next to the garage in my six-bedroom split-level home. I used the spoon fed directions in the Quick Start Guide to easily do a quick and dirty setup because I was anxious to get the party started. After that I accessed my range extender settings after WPS to make a couple of tweaks to improve security and performance. I changed the default admin password from "admin" in Administration, Management, Extender Access and then I changed Automatic Configuration - DHCP to Static IP into Wireless, Basic Settings, Extender IP Address. Overall, it was a positive installation and configuration.

RE6300 AC750 Boost WI-FI
I received the RE6300 AC750 Boost WI-FI from Linksys as a member of their testing program. I would have to say, even if I did not get it for free, I would buy it. In fact I plan on buying one for my moms house. Just for the piece of mind of not having to worry about it messing up for her, since I live 200 miles away, and she calls me for any computer/internet issues she has. Range is great. Went from barely covering my house (on a half acre lot) before to reaching to the edge of the back yard. Set up was simple and as easy as plugging into the wall. It has Ethernet port to plug in anything that needs to be hardwired, without running wires across the floor. I myself don't care about fingerprints, and you never have to touch it besides plugging it into a outlet, but fingerprints do like to stick to it. Just wipe it down after plugging in and no worries. Has dual band so no worries as far as band frequency on connected devices. After using it for a few I really don't have any cons about it.

Boosted signal from 2 bars to 4 bars and speed from 72 Mbps to 144 Mbps. Distance of computer from router is one story, several walls and about 50 ft. Fairly easy to set up but did have some difficulty pairing it with my Linksys router. In the end I think it is an acceptable fix for weak & slow wireless signal.

Works Great, Easy to Setup
I received the RE6300 for free to try out and give a review.
First let me say that installation was a snap. Followed the "quick setup" instructions and it was up and running in a matter of minutes.
Second it does what it's suppose to do. I have three areas in my house I normally only get 1 or 2 bars, garage, basement and upstairs bedroom. With the RE6300 I get a minimum 4 bars in these areas. No more buffering when I stream movies.

Works well, but was a bit difficult to setup
I got this range extender in anticipation of getting an 802.11ac router. I currently own a Linksys E3200 802.11n router and attempted to connect this device using WPS. Despite being less than 10 ft from the router with direct line of sight, I could never get it to connect to the network.
Fortunately the device also has a browser based setup. I configured the device and it did connect to my router. Then per the Quick Start Guide, I then unplugged it and moved it to the area where I wanted to use it. It did not reconnect to the network and I again had to configure it using the browser. Additionally, even though I was connected to the extender network I had to connect to it using the local network (linksysrangeext.local) to review the settings.
Every time I changed/saved the settings on the device, my browser attempted to reconnect to it using the extender.linksys.com page without success and I had to reconnect using the linksysrangeext.local page.
That all being said, once I got the device fully configured, in the place that I wanted it to be, the wi-fi connection worked very well and offered a nice connection in the upstairs area of my home where the connection was formally somewhat weak.

Best Range Extender I have seen!
Overall I was very impressed with the ease with which I was able to set this range extender up as well as the performance. The set-up worked flawlessly, the RE6300 has not lost the router signal once and I’m now seeing the same performance at corners of my home that I also get right next to the router. I have never seen this performance with any other range extender.
This is the 3rd range extender that I have tried. With the prior two, the set-up was difficult and they would often lose the network and stop working. In addition, the data bandwidth was usually much lower than when positioned close to my router.
The RE6300 set-up without any headaches, the coverage is great, I’m seeing the same performance on the edge of my home as near the router and it has been working flawlessly. I have a home that has many dead zones and it can take time to position the router and expander for full coverage. The RE6300 has spot finder in the web-based tool that was very helpful in positioning the router far enough away to maximize my coverage, but yet keep a good connection to the router.
You can set-up the RE6300 by using WPS or by connecting to its built-in Wi-Fi network that shows up as the default settings. I tried both since I used it at my home and a friend wanted to try it out at his home as well. Both modes worked flawlessly and were amazingly easy. I have struggled many times trying to configure extenders and changing settings after they are connected has usually been a big hassle.
When you set-up the RE6300 with WPS, it automatically creates a new network for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. It adds _Ext to each of your current networks so that if you had 2 Wi-Fi networks (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz), you will now have 4. This is actually helpful because you need to connect to the extender Wi-Fi to access the settings and find the best location for it. Once you have the Extender positioned for the maximum performance, you can then change the settings on the RE6300 so that it uses the same settings as the router. I like to do this so that I do not need to make any changes to the many things in my home connecting to my Wi-Fi. Or you can just keep 4 Wi-Fi networks and just connect to the best one. Warning: Don’t check the box to make the RE6300 have the same settings as the Router until you get the RE6300 set-up in the right location. When the RE6300 has the same settings, it is hard to make sure you are on the RE6300 network vs the Router when you need to change the RE6300 settings. It’s not impossible, just much harder.
Setting-up the RE6300 using a browser really wowed me over. No software or needing to use an Ethernet cable to connect directly to the RE6300. The RE6300 puts out its own Wi-Fi network as the factory default and all you need to do is connect to that network to configure it. It was amazingly easy. But once again I will warn you. Don’t check the box to make the RE6300 have the same settings as the Router until you get the RE6300 set-up in the right location. When the RE6300 has the same settings, it is hard to make sure you are on the RE6300 network vs the Router when you need to change the RE6300 settings. It’s not impossible, just much harder.

AC7500 BOOST Wi-Fi RANGE EXTENDER
I installed this product on Saturday March 19, 2016. It works great as long as you get it to the proper range. If you have 4 or more bedrooms with an upstairs it gets a little testy due to the walls. These Range Extenders need a lot of open space to reach its maximum range output. I can only get 50% because of the walls. Easy setup.

Great Product
I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for your honest feedback on this product. The RE6300 AC750 was very easy to set-up and has greatly extended the range of my WIFI network. My devices connect at a faster speed and browsing is faster. Highly recommend this product.

AC 750 Delivers as desired
Having had a week now to work with the Re6300 I'm left quite satisfied. Having bought 2 Ethernet connected and 3 wire-less, I have been looking for a solid wireless version to plug a major dead spot. In all the the prior purchases across 3 different brands none of the wireless and only 1 of the 2 Ethernet connected extenders kept the connection to the main router. While the fix was simple (rebooting the extender) doing so defeated the entire "plug-play-forget" required by the ladies of my house. Though frankly after settling in for the night the last thing I wanted to do is get up and wander into the adjoining room to reboot the extender so I could watch a little streaming.
This unit, while having perfectly acceptable performance as a AC booster - it's actual range equaling or exceeding the other model wireless extenders I've bought - has not failed once in the week it's been plugged in. And when unplugged and then after a minute plugged back in to simulate a power outage. It needed no help in reconnecting.
The only draw back to it at this point (and it's the same with the other brands of wireless extenders) is that is not transparent. It broadcasts with an added "Ext" to separate it from the main signal. Only wish it was transparent like the wired extenders now in use.

Easy set up
Easy setup but being a slight color deficient I found the colors of amber and green do be too close especially in what area I placed it .Works well, gotta play with positioning of unit, not always full bars, might be the house,

Great Product, can still improve
Pros
- Easy to setup
- Simple to read instruction
- Lightweight
- Adjustable antennas
- 2-prong plug, same size, suitable for upside down wall plug
- Includes 1 Ethernet port on bottom
- When used correctly, speed boost is significant
Cons
- Wide body, not suitable for side-way-facing wall outlet.
- Gets quite warm
Comments
I was able to boost my speed by 10mb/s in one location.
The weight and size suggest a need to slim the casing down. It feels somewhat hollow.

Actually does a great job .
I purchased this two weeks ago to replace a range extender from someone else.
This product has great range and so far is rock solid.I really like the size and does not hog and entire outlet, Setup was a snap not using auto connect as my at@t wifi router would not support it.

I got this product a week ago. I hooked up 10 devices and streamed HD video to all of them with no dropped frames. One of the devices was a 50 inch Samsung 4K tv.

AC 750 Wins Big
I received a free AC 750 Boost Wi-Fi Range Extender from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. I have no affiliation with Linksys or any reason to pull my punches.
To begin, let me state that I live in a large 19th century Victorian house with thick walls and a signal blocking central brick chimney. In consequence, there are parts of the house that are immune to strong Wi-Fi signals. Thus any performance issues are likely attributed to structural realities that are probably insurmountable. Previously I had used an earlier Linksys Range Extender (RE1000) with mixed success.
That said, I set up the range extender this morning. The setup was straightforward and easy. Unlike the RE1000, the AC 750 permitted me to extend both my 2.4 and 5GHZ networks. (I’m using a Linksys E3000 router that is probably at the end of its life cycle). This was a nice touch and a distinct improvement. But what really set the two models apart was the performance boost. Without the range extender the speed of my 2.4 network was104 Mbps, with it a stunning 263 Mbps. That alone makes the AC 750 a very good buy.
I am not 100% sure that I couldn’t have gotten the same results with the RE1000, although I doubt it and I never did. But the AC 750 has a built in capability to discover optimal placement. I tried three locations a floor away from my router. The first was OK, the second not at all, and the third just right. With the RE1000 it was hit or miss and no indication that placement was or was not optimal.
There are two ways to determine optimal placement. A blinking light LED indicates whether a secure connection has been established. This is a gross indicator. But an on-line “spot finder” is more powerful. If I have a complaint, it’s that the Quick Start Guide was less than direct about using the spot finder. The box the AC 750 came it highlighted it, so I knew it existed. It just took a little digging to find it. A more explicit statement about accessing the spot finder, especially during the initial setup, would be helpful.
All in all, I like the AC 750 a lot. I didn’t know I needed it until I got it. It’s a big improvement over my earlier extender. I strongly recommend it to anyone who has a need for this kind of product.

Great features, easy setup, great on the go
I have been looking for a Wi-Fi Range Extender to use at home and one to take with me on the road. Well the Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender suits both situations. Are you tired of weak Wi-Fi signal in your hotel room? Just plug this thing in and go through the quick and simple setup and your internet speeds are better, and in some instances, ten-fold on throughput (based on my experience). The RE6300 pulls in great reception compared to the one or two bars on my laptop. I just plug it into the bathroom outlet (or an outlet near the room door), connect to the hotel Wi-Fi and I am off and running. No cables to deal with and easy to follow browser setup instructions, you could not ask for more. First use was a breeze and I connected on the first try in my hotel room. I thought I was going to be hours getting it working however, this was hardly the case. I was amazed on how simple it was to setup and even added security to my setup (I used WPA2). I can watch Netflix in my room without having to watch the “buffer” show as well as play online gaming and yes, even work via company VPN.
I tried it at home to see what would happen to my "dead spots" and “weak signal areas”… Gone! This means I need to get another one for home since this Range Extender goes with me on all my trips now.

Easy Setup, Great Performance.
I received this product a week ago, and have been happy with the performance. The Setup was easy. I set it up using the browser and it was done within minutes. The spot finder was spot on of the location to place it where it will most effective. No more deadspots in any part of the house! I would gladly recommend this product to anyone with any connectivity issues.

Terrific! Solved my dead zone problem completely
Received my Linksys RE6300 AC750 BOOST Wi-Fi Range Extender last week and in 10 minutes it overcame my biggest home networking headache.
I opened the box to find the Extender unit, user manual and quick start guide. Following the guide, I plugged in the unit, pressed the WPS button both on the extender and the one on my Linksys E4200 router, and went to my computer and cellphones to select the new network name (ending in .ext for extender) and I was up and running with all bars!
I live in a 2-story, 4000 sq. ft. house with my router housed under my desk upstairs next to my incoming internet cable. Even with the router's 6 antennas, one third of my downstairs could only receive 2 bars of signal on the computer installed in that area and on my cell phones (often losing signal and Wi-Fi phone calls as a result). The RE6300 Wi-Fi Range Extender completely eliminated the weak signal problem on both router bands (2.4 MH and 5MH). I've used other brand extenders with only minimal results, but this guy really does the trick.
I highly recommend this device for anyone suffering from low signal areas at home or wherever.
Pros:
- Simple to install
- Simple to configure with WPS (press button on Extender and Router and DONE!) OR offers browser-based setup.
- Indicator light with changing colors to indicate signal strength received from router (ready=green; Weak signal=amber; No signal=red). If signal is not GREEN simply move the Extender closer to router and it still covers up to 6500 ft!
- Amplifies signal very well over wide distance
- Automatically works on all protocols including n and ac
-Although I haven't used it, the Extender has a gigaabit wired outlet
Cons:
- I haven't found any cons about this Extender, it is full featured and does everything that it says it does well.

Perfect and Powerful
This is a great product and worked perfect with my Linksys EA6400 system. Never had any problems in any of my gadgets on both floors, it doesn't matter if your upstairs or downstairs, it's always reliable. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to extend their wifi coverage specially for 2 story houses. Worked well for me.

Great WiFi Booster
I have had some dead spots in my home and with this device I have been able to now cover my entire home with the expected speed of sitting next to my router.
The setup was super easy and completed in less than 2 min. Definitely recommend for homes needing to cover low or dead spots in a home.
