Overall a fantastic keyboard with really just one flaw.
Keyboard is the perfect size, tactile response and key "feel" are perfect. The mouse shape and keyboard layout are ideal... the only issue I have with this product is that whatever the material used on the mouse, particularly where the thumb rests, it reacts very poorly with skin oil. After about four months, mine has bubbled up and appears to be deteriorating completely. It's otherwise good enough that I'll buy another one when the mouse finally becomes unusable though.

Love this product
Has helped reduce pressure in my wrists after long days at the keyboard. The delete/insert and arrow keys are slightly different than my old keyboard, but I wish I had bought this item earlier. I ordered with basic shipping and received it the next day!

Comfortable & Easy to Use
Took a few days switching into the keyboard from the standard keyboard but now I love it. The separate 10 key pad has proven to be quite nice. The mouse also fits wonderfully into my hand and quite nice to use.

Receiver easily breaks and it cannot be replaced
Its a good keyboard aside from the receiver. Its bulky compared to other brands receivers meaning you can't leave it in your laptop if you plan to put the laptop in a bag because it'll snag on the side and eventually break. Calling up Microsoft support they do not sell or replace receivers. You're better off buying a Logitech.

USB WILL BREAK
do not purchase this keyboard if you travel or take your laptop anywhere way from your desktop because the wireless USB that makes it work will break. Bought this in Feb and by March I was taping it together. Tried to call CDW about the warranty and they told me I had to go through Microsoft. Was on the phone for almost an hour and they would not tell me what the warranty was. Only that they would send me an email with a form to fill out and only then would they advise what could be done. Very poor service and I would not recommend it

Dongle is too long
If you are someone who has a laptop and likes to take your computer home, I suggest not taking your mouse or dongle with you. The dongle is very long and causes it to get hit several times when transporting. After about 6 months my dongle quit working. Since the dongle is not sold separately you have to buy a whole new keyboard and mouse every time it breaks.

Best Ergonomic option out there.
I have used this keyboard at work and home for over 2 years now and it is a worthy successor to MS Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. While the keyboard tilt is not as aggressive as the 4000, it is comfortable enough for those long typing sessions. The fingers fall naturally and you will hit the right keys 9/10. I also like the detachable number pad because I can take it with me to meetings and easily work with numbers rather than use the laptop keyboard. The only downside I noticed is it eats up batteries rather quickly.

Makes my tired hands happy
I spend a lot of time typing and using a mouse for my job in commercial real estate marketing. I've had nights where I've had to lay on my hands to keep my fingers from wanting to curl up in a fist from fatigue.
I'm not saying this eliminated it completely, but I feel less fatigue in my wrists, and fingers after a 10 hour day.
I just recently started using the reverse tilt component --- GAME CHANGER. Loving this so far!

Best Keyboard on the market
I love my sculpt keyboard and mouse. I use my keyboard 6 plus hours a day and have had no issues. Had the surface but had nothing but problems with it. My only complaint is the dongle is long and could be broken more easily. I broke one on my notebook but Microsoft replaced the whole set.

excellent ergonomic keyboard
This set comes with a keyboard, mouse and a separate 10 key pad. I love that the 10 key is not attached to the keyboard as it allows the mouse to be positioned closer to the center allowing less stress on the wrist and there's a shortcut for the calculator right on the 10 key. Also I like the fact the mouse is only slightly turned again allowing a more natural position. The only drawback is I feel the keyboard keys are set further apart than the one I use at home so it takes a bit of getting used to.
But overall, this is a very good set for people with wrist pain from using the keyboard for an extended amount of time and it's super easy to set up.

I've used this model at a previous employer and love that this model is an option. The other keyboards I've used in the past were either too big that ended up doing more harm than good for my hands and wrists.

Comfortable
The Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard's main feature is comfort. I have used ergonomic keyboards from other brands, and this one by far is the most comfortable. The layout of the keyboard did take a brief period to get used to, but once I did my wrists stopped hurting. The separate wireless keypad was a great idea, since I am limited in desk space. I was able to place it before the keyboard due to its small size.

Just so-so
I have used the keyboard and mouse for about 3 weeks. I like the keyboard okay. I'm still getting used to it. The ergonomic feel of the mouse is nice, but I probably should have stuck with a track ball. I really don't care for having to slide the mouse around. It messes with my shoulder and wrist.

Looks good, is comfortable to use.
The keyboard is good, comfortable to use, however the mouse is difficult to use without a mouse pad. It keeps slipping off the surface.
The keyboard has good cushioning to protect your wrists and wirelessness works seamlessly.
Overall a good product.

This product has some quality issues for the price!!!
I have had this keyboard since November and it is okay, but already one of my keys are not working. I use for 8 to 10 hours a day, so that would be heavy use. Also, the batteries do not last very long at all. The mouse is just okay. The number pad is awesome.

Sculpt Keyboard and mouse
I purchased this product because I have a hard time with standard keyboards my old ergo started acting and I didn't like the MS 400 so I purchased this one I love the design and all the features but the mouse is another problem. it worked great for a few days then it start getting loud when you clicked on something, then is would work sometime some times not. Dell replaced it with a new one so far I haven't used the mouse I'm still using my wired one. If you like ergo keyboards and a separate 10 key then the sculpt keyboard is the way to go this is the way to go

I've had this for a couple months now, and I love it. The only this I wish was different was the numbers keypad. I wish we had the option to connect it to the main keyboard, but still have the option to disconnect it. Otherwise, I would give this a 5 star.

Weak Keys
I switched to this keyboard from the Microsoft 4000 which is a wired ergonomic keyboard. The two big differences between the two are the wireless feature and the detached numerical keypad on this one. Other differences appeared later. First, the insert, home, pgup, delete, end and pgdn keys are not where they were on the MS4000, so months later I still must look at the keyboard to find those keys. Second, the keys on this wireless often fail to fire at all. In particular, the first letter of a word often fails to activate, and the space bar frequently fails to operate, soIlookupathescreenandhaveomething like thisto clean up. It is the latter issue that has me wonderingdaily if I should just pitch this thing in the garbage and go back to my old MS4000 which is sitting right here collecting dust. This is a frustrating experience. The wireless keyboard is far from perfected.

Fantastic once I got used to it. Keyboard ergonomics are great:
High in the front, slopes back, clicky, with good button feel, but not too loud.
The mouse is heavy, and takes some shoving, but again, once I got used to it, I really like it, and it's the most comfortable setup I've used in 20 years of computing.
Wear seems good, it's been five months, and holding up okay.
Only drawbacks:
I lose the detached number pad on my desk constantly
Would be nice if it were back-lit

Sorry but the activation of keys on this keyboard is like sticking your fingers in buckets of tacky super glue.
If you like quick keyboards that provide tactile response to your key presses, this is not the Tonka toy for you. If you like mechanical keyboards with switches that are worth something more than 2c a piece, this is not the cash sponge for you.

Great keyboard a little pricey. Mouse is FANTASTIC
This is a very solid keyboard, well build, very long battery life. The mouse is really a star. I can't tell you just how comfortable it is. The shape completely supports your hand. Love love love it. The free floating number pad is a little weird, but if you don't use it a lot, not really a big deal and like anything, you just find a spot for it and get used to it.

Great Keyboard If It Works - Proceed With Caution!
Love the ergonomic design; however, the keyboard I received only worked intermittently. After changing batteries multiple times, putting the wireless transceiver in various USB ports, installing/deleting/reinstalling the keyboard drivers, attempting to use on a different computer, and several calls to the help desk (the last of which lasted 1 hr and 20 mins) I gave up. I was told it was a bad/defective item and to try another. The issue I experienced was well documented by others in Microsoft forums as a problem.

Poor Design - Constant Mouse Failures and Issues
The unit seems well made but the mouse door is magnetic and out of the box will not properly seal. This makes using the mouse a real challenge, as it will not sit flush on the mouse pad. A common issue with this unit, check it out online. Wish it was another way as its very nice, but this is a killer in my opinion, for this cost I shouldn't have to operate the mouse out of the box with no battery cover for normal functionality. Wish I could say something better, but this is just a poorly designed and/or tested item and would not ever recommend it to anyone.

Solid ergo, with a couple of drawbacks
Overall a nice, solid keyboard with an ergonomic curve. I like MS ergo keyboards more than competitors, and this one rates well with me. I dinged it two stars because (1 It tends to miss the opening keystroke of a sequence every now and again (something I've noted others have said), and (2) it needs a dedicated "Fn" key rather than that toggle switch, which is inconvenient to use. Or even use the "Shift" key to switch from one to the other. Advantages of the keyboard is that it is TKL, which allows you to have your mouse closer to hand. Overall, I would recommend it with the above caveats.
