I have done this more than three times and changed USB ports. The response I received was "Cannot find adapter" I bought at Walmart but it is too late to take it back Where can I send it for refund or replacement?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most modern laptops and desktop, don’t have cd What are you supposed to, to get the install if you have no cd drive, and the adapter will not connect to the internet for you to download the installation, since it first requires the installation. This seems like something that could have been solved by including a basic install, then once connected to the internet get the full update if needed. Otherwise this is completely useless

Spikes last between 3-5 seconds, and occurs every few minutes. It leads to a lot of frustration trying to play video games. Bought another brand of adapter and have had no issues since. Do not recommend.

The first A6100 I purchased worked so well on my laptop and setup was as easy as plugging it in and turning on my computer, that I purchased a second one for my desktop. I would highly recommend it. The cost can’t be beat and no more cables!

He told me to try a WiFi USB adapter, but the cheap one I bought did not work at all. I got the Netgear AC600 despite it costing over three times as much as the cheap one, and it is well worth the price. Easy and clear installment instructions, unlike the cheap one, and I finally have WiFi again. I highly recommend this product.

Just a quick driver download to install driver and a few other pc changes and working great . I have spectrum Internet with a TPLINK router and was only able to connect to the lower band . had maybe 23mbps download speed . After install and connecting to 5G band checked download speed at 230 mbps now . Great improvement .

After countless telephone calls with my internet provider a technician discovered my laptop’s wireless card was becoming outdated. He told me the only solution was to buy a new computer or try a USB adapter. I got the Netgear adapter and plugged it into my laptop port. It was very easily set up. Instant fix! No more problems and my speed on my laptop is unbelievable.

This is not really a practical idea. It should be able to work right out of the box because this is literally unusable for me. Stupid expensive to be a waste of money

Because I work for a private school we needed to come up with something that would fix the problem but be cost efficient. Does anyone else see a problem with that? My old adapter was going bad, would connect then drop the connection a minute later. I had to connect, then reconnect , then reconnect…… Each time adding a bit of data for the required download. Including a USB key drive with the download onboard in the package would make much more sense.

That's when it started dropping the connection more frequently. Now, in May of 2022, it's basically unusable. Once inserted, I usually get a message that the device has malfunctioned. After removing and inserting 1 to 5 times, it will work..... for ten whole minutes if I'm lucky. Usually I get five minutes or less. Then I get the message that it malfunctioned and the computer can't recognize it again. I got it working long enough to click "write a review," give my rating, add a title, and write one sentence of the review.... The netgear I bought in 2014/2015 lasted more than five years, and it would have lasted longer if it hadn't gotten so banged up. This one couldn't even make it a whole five months while being treated 100x better. Not happy.

Best decision ever! As soon as I opened the box I was very impressed how sleek and compact, barely noticeable this was. The installation couldn't of been easier! Now I am connected and my internet is running 4x as fast as it was. I have been using Netgear products for litterly decades. This just proves why! Bravo Netgear you knocked it outta the park with this device!! So if your considering it - trust me you won't be dissappointed. Good job Netgear and Thank you!!

After a few calls to tech, we figured out that I could use my wifi-enabled laptop to download the software, transfer to a thumb drive, and upload to the desktop. I'm sure a tech-minded person would have interpreted the directions that way from the get-go, but we got there eventually! This little thing works great for desktop gaming and we haven't had any trouble. I think it was a good investment!

All of the speed rates stated in the literature are transfer rates from the AC600 to the router of 433 Mbps for AC mode. However, the receive rate for the AC600 which is not listed in the literature is limited to 54 Mbps in AC mode. Thus, receiving data on my laptop is much slower than my imbedded chip which can receive and transmit at 300 Mbps in N mode. Neatgear should publish the fact that the link speeds are asynchronous receive/transmit at 54/433 Mbps in AC mode. I am currently looking for an AC adapter that is either synchronous or close to synchronous, especially one that publishes those specifications and does not try to mislead the customer by omission.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save The Day! I not one that was familiar with a wifi adapter but when I move and the wifi box was too out of reach for my youngest (7yr old computer, this fit the bill. He was driving me crazy with wanted to get back on his games, and this adapter came through, so far it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Darn Terrible I bought this almost 2 weeks ago now, and so far it has been terrible. Constantly connecting then disconnecting from the internet, providing horrendous inconsistent speeds. I've researched and tried many solutions, none of which have done anything. If someone could help that would be amazing but honestly at this point I wish I didn't buy this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my Internet adapter proble. My wifi adapter on my HP laptop kept kicking on and off while working on college schooling. After talking to a computer technician, they recommended getting an adapter. After 30 minutes of programming the NETGEAR adapter, I have not had a single problem with my laptop wifi connection. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

The solution was, to use this USB ADAPTER and it functions perfectly, connects to Hotspot on our mobil phone. It has put a new life into our Toshiba Laptop.

You realize, I bought this so that I could get online and that it stands to reason that I cannot get online without it. How would you suggest I download the driver software, genius? So I bought a flashdrive and now I'm at a friends house and do you know what I found when I clicked on the install instructions at your website for the AC600 adapter? It tells me to put the CD in the drive. Not a link to download the driver, but instead tells me to install the CD which, I'm sure you know, is not included with that adapter. It's like selling someone a car with an empty gas tank. It's no problem, just drive on over to the gas station and fill it up. That's what your tech support guy had for me. Oh, just download the driver on another device and transfer it to your computer.
