Ethernet port is nice, Just not unattended
Originally purchased to augment a terrible coverage area, it landed as the backup to my alarm panel. It crashes after being online too long thanks the hackers, web-interfaces goes offline and so does the DNS. Its just not network grade enough to endure longer operations, was fine as a mobile hotspot for short term uses. External antenna port is pretty boss. There really needs to be a pro-sumer level or guess I need to look at some IOT devices for this. Anyways not really impressed with Netgear lately my Nighthawk didnt hang in there either.

Perfect for RV life
We needed a device that could be left plugged in without battery inside it for use on the road in our RV. We travel full time and our old device needed the battery in even when plugged in. That led us to unplugging and plugging it back in several times a day, even still we ended up with battery bloat twice.
This option is great, plug it in and walk away. It powers 4 tv’s multiple computers, security systems, communication with the coach, Alexa, Echo, and an air purifier.
Great investment and works great with our Verizon sim.

OK with Google Fi but some Wi-Fi Compatibility Issues
I am using the hotspot as my only internet connection in my rural home. I am using a Google Fi data only SIM. It’s providing an adequate service - 32Mbps download with a latency of 107ms. I have removed the battery and am using the power adapter.
I wish it had an easily accessible indication of signal strength, so I could find the best place in my home. I think it’s under diagnostics. It would be good to have it on the LED panel.
My Fitbit Atria 2 scale would not connect to the Wi-Fi. It needs "802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz standard" according to the Fitbit manual. I did enable 2.4 GHz on the hotspot. I then disabled Wi-Fi on the hotspot and connected an old NETGEAR R6700 router in access point mode via Ethernet. The Atria 2 scale then connected.

RV Hotspot
After significant research online we choose the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot for our RV. We're glad we did as so far it has performed flawlessly! Next trip will be to a spotty cell service location, and we want to see how it works in that circumstance. We have purchased a third-party antenna and ground plan for the RV roof - but those items have not arrived yet. Hope they do before our next trip!

Better performance than my phone right next to it.
This router is receiving 5g signals (sometimes) while my phone never leaves 4g. It shows the same signal strength as my phone yet it is picking up a better option. It is tethered to the external antenna and that might be the reason for getting 5g and not my phone. I'll leave that question with the experts to answer. I am happy with this purchase of the unlocked model and happy to have paid a bit more for the option to swap carriers as needed.

Caveat Emptor, baby!
Because this device is capable of gobbling up so much data so fast, T-Mobile (for sure) and most likely, AT&T, do NOT offer any unlimited data plans for this device in our area (and probably in your area too). Therefore, you MAY want to reconsider your purchase knowing this. Otherwise, WOW, what a hotspot!!

Poor and inconsistent download speed
I bought this months ago. I consistently get .5-.6 Mbps download speeds while my phone, receiving the same cell signal, gets 30 Mbps download speeds. A reboot of the hotspot may temporarily increase download speed to 20 Mbps, but never faster, and it will soon degrade. I've tried adding an antenna, and it is running the latest software.

Slow and runs very hot compared
I intended this router to replace a Verizon INSeeGo 5g and a Cradlepoint IBR200. Both running on Verizon. The Cradlepoint with a Verizon SIM and no "wired" internet, i.e. Verizon cell only. I moved the SIM from the INSeeGo to the Netgear. Speed was 1/2 the INSeego and 1/4 of the Cradlepoint. I tried various areas around my home as well as outside. It also ran very hot compared to both. I waited overnight to see if the Verizon changeover needed time to regroup. No change so I returned the Netgear.

Best 5G SA Hotspot available in market today
I have tested several 5G hotspots however this device is the best. Others do claim that they support 5G but there is a catch, other products available in market does support only 5G NSA but this Netgear device supports both 5G NSA and 5G NSA.
Kudos to Netgear Team.

Durable and Reliable unlocked 5G Mobile Hotspot Router with all the bells and whistle
The MR6150 is a reliable 5G mobile router. I have heard about Netgear's lineup of Nighthawk Mobile routers and the MR6150 was the first Nighthawk Mobile router I have used. I am impressed at how robust and durable the build quality of this device. They have packed so much advanced tech into this portable format. The 5G radio powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon x62 provides one of fastest 5G radios in the Qualcomm lineup to date. The MR6150's built in antennas are very sensitive that despite being internal, it has been outperforming my 5G Samsung S21 indoors, and much more so outdoors. Using this device in mobile is where it really shines. On road trips, it provides reliable internet to the whole family. The kids are into streaming so the demand for data is intense. The MR6150 has proven itself to be a reliable and fast hotspot and my phone's hotspot function just could not compare. Upon arrival to the hotel or at home, I plug it in as an Internet gateway, providing data to my wired devices. The internal battery will keep it powered for most trips away from a power source. It has WiFi 6 technology, so newer devices will transfer data faster, like when I backup photos from my phone to my laptop after a trip to park. Data speed will of course depend on your Cellular provider, but since this is an unlocked device, you can use it with all providers. It's just a great device all around and certainly it has become indispensable after I have realized how convenient everything is after owning this equipment. The tech is so current and top of the line, that this will provide me many years before I even think about upgrading. Netgear, as I have learned, has a companion app, which makes it easy for me to setup and change settings in the device if it's in my pocket or in my backpack, as well as the LCD screen with simplified icons, navigating through the settings is easy. After a week of use, I have memorized the menus and the learning curve is not at all that much. Very much impressed after the first several days of ownership. Highly recommended if you need 5G speed data on the go or as a constant source of home internet as a gateway device. It's a bit pricey, but considering you getting high-end specs, it's worth the money.

problems with Nighthawk and AT&T
your product seems excellent and I can successfully work from home.
however, I cannot regularly get a 5G signal. AT&T has suggested it has to do with my family having an old - 20 years at least - and very economical unlimited plan. They wouldn't sell me the Nighthawk through AT&T, but luckily I was able to get it on web from you.

If you have an M5 keep it.
I currently have the Nighthawk M5 5200. I read several reviews on the new M6 indicating a 20% speed increase over my M5. I ran multiple test using the same sim, testing the M5 and M6 in the same exact spot and used the same cell phone at the same distance from the Nighthawks on the 5ghz channels using wifi6. I ran 7 tests on each Nighthawk using my Ookla test app. I tossed the high and low test on each Nighthawk and averaged the middle 5 tests on each. The M5 and M6 were almost identical, both in the mid 500 mbps download speed. Only a 1% difference between the two averages with the M5 turning in the very very slightly better speed.
The M5 and the M6 both provide excelent data speeds. If you have an M5 I would not recommend an 6M upgrade. If you dont have an M5, then I highly recomend the M6.

Great M6 Unlocked WiFi Mobil Router
Really like this new unlocked M6! A bit pricey though. Battery will not last 13 hours as advertised only if you dont have the best optimal setup in settings and too many options turned on. Other than that, it is a great alternative to a mobil phone hotspot. I think it is an excellent data hotspot with great options along with being unlocked. It works great on T-Mobil network which is how I have it setup. I have no issues with it and use it in our RV up and down the east coast. I like the fact that when starlink can not get a signal due to weather, location and has to gave clear line of site with no trees on order for starlink to even work. My Netgear M6 delivers with no conectivity issues via Cell towers instead.

Working as Expected for Dedicated WiFi Source
Using as a dedicated wifi for automobile. Works great and as expected. It would have been nice if there were mounting holes or brackets of some sort when needing to operate in this fashion. App gives a way better interface to work with rather than using the screen, just make sure you set it to not disconnect the signal when not in use so it remains up all the time.

No 5G with Verizon
Nice device, but I could not get it to work on Verizon 5G. On Verizon, it is 4G only; at the exact locations, the SIM provides 5G with my original Verizon hotspot. A T-Mobile SIM works fine in 5G. Support was unsure about the reason, but Verizon lists the IMEI as incompatible. It appears it could work, as the M6 supports Verizon's 5G bands, but Verizon blocks it.

Best Hotspot
The Netgear M6 pro is the best hotspot I have ever used. I tried it on the AT&T network and got reliable 5G connection and very fast connections wherever I used it. It is very versatile with wi-fi 6e (very fast), 2.5G ethernet, and USB C tethering. The M6 hotspot it compact and durable. I especially liked the large, colorful LCD screen. It makes it simple to setup and check operation of the hotspot. Battery life lasts 8 - 9 hours easily. The M6 pro is a great hotspot for traveling or even to use at home for 5G Internet service. It is a powerful and full featured wi-fi router that allows up to 32 connections.

It's wonderful however
The fact that sometimes it freezes up or doesn't respond at all. Sometimes it just restarts for no reason anyways so there is that. Other than that it's nice. Problem is I can't use it for a certain game called Warframe but that could be with my provider. Port forwarding didn't work either which caused 2 hours of annoyance till I finally gave up. Overall, I love it a lot. First time I ever used one and I gotta say first impression are great.
