Great internet, but don't use for navigation
Works as advertised. Anywhere we have cell service, we get a robust internet connection. We paired this with the T-Mobile 100GB hotspot data plan and have zero issues streaming our favorite video content (YouTube Premium, Fubo, Roku, Amazon Prime). Needless to say that email, Google search, etc. work exceptionally well. In some cases, when 5G is present, our upload and download speeds are the same. Best d/l so far is near 200Mbps. Best u/l so far is 97Mbps. I would not hesitate to buy this again. One caveat: Don't try to use Google or Apple maps while connected to this hotspot - go back to you phone. Locations will be inaccurate (especially with T-mobile) and you'll get funky directions.

So far,so good!
It is a lot faster than my older 4G/LTE hotspot. I am sure it will be well worth the cost as I do many events on location and need a dependable hotspot. It works well so far with my ATT account.

Works as advertised.
A very fancy hot-spot. I was able to run a Zoom Call off of it ten minutes after getting it setup with a SIM card from my cellular provider.

Internet outages? No problem with the MR6550.
Very pleased with my purchase of the MR6550. It works as advertised and has saved my bacon several times during Wi-Fi outages. Works well at hotels and pretty much everywhere. Easy setup took 2 mins tops. I use an AT&T sim with no issues.

No app to work with Android...
What you may not realize is that this particular product has no working app that will function reliably with Android. In fact when you attempt to download the app onto your Android phone you will be told that it is incompatible with your phone or that the app is an older version and cannot be installed. When you call Netgear tech support they will claim ignorance about this issue or blame your phone. Keep in mind if your phone is running Android 12 which is the latest operating system it will not work with the Netgear nighthawk 6550 app available through the Play store. It's time for a Netgear's engineers to stop playing games and start working on an actual app that will function with this device. If Netgear can't get their tech engineers to do this they need to fire them and find people who can make it work.

Superb Unit
Getting a SIM from any of the wireless carriers is a bit of a challenge as all of them would rather sell you what they have. Also, On all their web pages checking if the device is compatible, their checker shows that the IMEI is not compatible. Easiest way is to have the SIM activated for a plan with a descent hotspot size, then install in the unit. This was the way I was able to get it to work. It works flawlessly with impressive stable speeds. Would recommend without reservations.

Fantastic! Screaming fast and super easy SIM swap
This thing is so fast on Verizon it’s blinding. 127MBps down and 55 up. Easily can switch to AT&T by swapping SIM. Results: not as good, but decent 89MBps down and 29 up. Using the antenna slows things (it’s 2x2 mimo vs internal antenna at 4x4) but critical when signal is marginal.

Great for those that travel.
Expensive yet works as advertised. I have used it all over the world with various SIM cards. It does overheat and shut down occasionally. The solution is to remove the battery and plug it in directly.

Don't buy to use with T-Mobile.
Does not work with T-Mobile. I spent more than hours at the T-Mobile store. They called their customer service center and they couldn't make it work either.
Netgear sent me a new device. Same issue .
I called Netgear three times and they can't get it to work either.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro and support
purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro with high expectations, but it has been nothing but a disappointment. The device doesn’t hold a charge for more than 30 minutes, making it practically useless as a mobile hotspot. Additionally, the WiFi connection is highly unreliable, failing about 70% of the time—even when in areas with strong signal coverage.
To make matters worse, I reached out to NETGEAR’s customer support to initiate a return, but I didn’t receive any response for several days. This lack of timely customer service is unacceptable and adds to the frustration.
For a product marketed as a premium mobile WiFi solution, this falls dramatically short. I cannot recommend the NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro to anyone seeking a dependable mobile hotspot.
