I’ll be completely honest with you all, I’m pretty technologically illiterate, I wanted to upgrade my router and after asking my friends what they had, I settled on this one. Mind you, this one is rated for a fairly large space with lots of things connected to it. I live in a studio apartment and have about 3 things connected to it, but figured it was worth the investment. Setting it up… it told me to download the app, turn it on, and that was pretty much it! Seriously, there might have been one or more steps in there, but clearly I did not stress over it. The one downside that I (personally) find annoying is the the fact they keep pushing me to enact the child protection options, being single with no kids, makes me wish I could tell the app that so it would stop suggesting the feature. If you do have kids, I image it would be a lovely option to be able to turn off or limit wifi when they don’t do their homework or are supposed to be asleep. My connections is great and I have no complaints. As a side note, they did offer to enter me into a drawing for a gift card if I filled out this review so…. ???????

Purchased this router and have been pleasantly surprised at the extended coverage in my home. the extra security screening that comes with this router. I find the app easy to use and keep parental controls adjusted. I would definitely recommend this router.

Great router once set up actually works
This router has great reach and signal. The only downside was the setup. Having to sync the router with the app was not easy. The router wouldn’t connect to the internet but the app showed the router was connected. I had to complete a hard reset on the router before everything started working correctly. So far, that is the most frustrating issue.

I previously owned a Netgear router that was 6 years old. With my expanding security devices I realized I needed to upgrade. I was not disappointed. The RAXE300 was the perfect choice. It covers my two story house with no extenders needed, even out to my pool. The setup was identical to my old router so there is no learning curve except discovering newer features. I highly recommend this.

I am a longtime Mac user and purchased this online directly from NETGEAR. Set up was fast and simple. It could not have been easier. This router provides complete WiFi coverage throughout my home. I only get signal interference when I have a device too close to my turned on microwave oven but I have also experienced this same interference with my other router that I was replacing.

The True Best - 1K sq foot space Router
I live in a 950sq foot space and my old 1900 nighthawk was not cutting it in the bathroom or kitchen. Since the router sits on one side of the space I needed an upgrade. The NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300) does the job and more. 6G is a blessing, so very fast. The 5G network is incredibly fast as the RAXE300 just handles multiple signals better than my old Nighthawk model. It also doesn’t lock out other connections when uploading something large to say YouTube. Im even pinging 2ms better, I’m guessing due to the 2.5G Ethernet in. Thanks Netgear!

I had been using the router that came with my service provider, and struggling to maintain constant connection. Here I am paying for gigabit internet that basically crawled along. I kept thinking well it must be an issue with my ISP. I decided well, I'll stop renting the one from my ISP and buy one. I figured hey if I'm going to buy one, I might as well pay for one that's going to last and that's going to suit my needs. I have never used a better router I don't think ever. This thing is fantastic. I have never once had issues connecting, and I can have multiple devices streaming with no dropouts, no leg, no issues at all.

Other than the setup steps (the apps that were required) which took several attempts by a hired computer tech to complete, it now works flawlessly. A smart tv which is in a separate building is working again after replacing another NetGear router that had lasted over 10 years.

I love the form factor which is far more sleek than routers in this category. The device works well, the mobile app is easy enough to use. The admin web page is well laid out and organized. I like how many ports there are. But man oh man does this take forever to save a change and to boot. A power cycle can take 5 minutes with zero lights to indicate something is happening. I thought I broke it the first time I did a reset. Also I got confused with the Netgear account and the router account. I locked myself out of the password login and couldn't receive. But I'm up and running and that's the most important part.

I just replaced my old router with this one and I saw a huge difference. The speed is great depending on your internet provider. I also really like the app that allows me to easily control the router including resetting it remotely or changing the password to my networks easily. It also comes with a trial of Network security which I’m considering signing up for because it’s been so useful. All in all, great router and no downsides so far.

Had an old Linksys router fail and wanted a replacement for my home network. Did a ton of research and had my mind made up on Netgear.
Saw this router online at at the Best Buy store - first thing that caught my attention was the design (this thing is just looks cool); after that, started reading the specs and realized that this router completely filled the bill on what I wanted.
Once I got home with the router, I settled in for what I thought would be an afternoon of setup, configuration, and migration of devices. Nope - installed the Nighthawk app and the rest, as they say, was a piece of cake! I have never had an installation go so smoothly - especially all the phones in our household. Simply had the family scan the QR code and got all phones connected. Televisions, PC’s, and all other connected devices were just as easy to get on the network.
Speed - man, this thing is incredible! We were consistently hitting our service’s max speeds. Had several phones and PC’s performing separate speed tests concurrently with no hiccup in results. Couple this with the consistent connection (had to reset previous router multiple times per week) and my overall perception is that this RAXE300 is a beast! Very, very impressed with ease of setup, ease of adding devices, and overall performance. Also very impressed with the Nighthawk app and the information available there.
If you are considering buying this router - do not hesitate!

The nighthawk replaced a Google mesh Network that was not working well with Sonos equipment. Problem solved. Very strong broadcast over wide area. Speakers. Another components do not drop out any longer.

I've had it for about a week setup was easy. Phone app is very helpful. Always wish for more ethernet, but it has about the most for the price I could find. Range is excellent and it handles my smart home much better than my previous router.

After searching high and low and going thru 100’s of reviews I decided to get what was called the rolls Royce of routers. So far I’m happy with it but I noticed that at times it does lag. My provider offers 500mps download but consistently I get an avg of 230 mps. My ps5 is wired direct and it fluctuates speed as well. It does get much better reception for WiFi and does well with aprox 25 items using the WiFi consistently. Compared to my 10yr old router I get full signal thru my 1300 sq ft home but am preparing to move into a larger 2200 sq ft home. My current home is on nearly 1 acre property and with the nighthawk I get signal on each corner of my property, the lowest signal being 1/2 on the farthest corner thru the woods.

Every handful of years it's required to upgrade Wi-fi connectivity due to more devices, smart connections, etc. This product was super easy to setup compared to each of the past product setups. And has connection to an app for servicing the unit remotely. I have always had good experiences with Netgear products and continue to use the brand exclusively for my home network.

Yeah, it looks like Darth Vader's spaceship, but it really blasts out the data. 2,300 Sq Ft home, fast WIFI, works great! Switched home up to fiber internet connectivity and purchased this after researching products available. Scouted it our via web at Best Buy. On installation date for fiber dashed up to Best Buy while the tech was installing the fiber. Bought it, returned home, the tech connected it to the model and we are golden! Plus using the guest network for the grandkiddo's devices to use when they visit. Very happy!

Netgear Nighthawk Router
I purchased a Nighthawk Tri Band Mesh WiFi 6E router and also a Nighthawk Tri Band WiFi 6E router. I travel between Florida and Wisconsin and am challenged by technology. With the help of Netgear support I was able to set up both routers using the same password and administrative site allowing me to move between systems without having to change passwords or reinstall programs. I am now getting great performance from both routers, especially when streaming TV.

Newly replaced router
Had an old router that failed, everything was out. Researched and found the NetGear Tri-band to be the unit I wanted. Newest tech knowledgy, way faster and more powerfull, everything is up and working beautiful. I will be sticking with NetGear going forward. Was very easy to set up and get connected, almost did it by itself. Im no genius for these things but I was pleasently suprised at how easy the transistion from old to new was. Just what I needed and just super powerful. Covers 2000 to 2500 sq ft and that is overkill for us but no dead spots, no drops and our devices show a constant strong signal. Thanks NetGear. A great product.

Replaced a top of the line D-Link that has been reported as being compromised. With no transition assistance from D-Link I decided to disregard them as a network modem provider. Research revealed Netgear as a prominent product/company. Setup instruction was well documented and easily followed. Entire setup took less than 1 hour for 22 devices.

Awesome router. Replaced our ASUS that was dropping our connection like crazy. Finally able to get the speeds we are paying for. Supports over 20 devices in our home. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it randomly blocked our switch and the only way to unblock it was to go online instead of through the app. if they can make that feature available in the app, then it would totally be five stars.

If you’re a person that doesn’t really know about routers and is looking for something newer this is the one to choose. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but if you got money I would recommend. I’m not a hardcore gamer, just the occasional gamer. The download speed is real time quick and the lag is never the issue. If you got an old router it’s time for a new one.

I got this router in place of my asus router I paid $500 for. I couldn’t be happier with it. It was basically plug and play, which was amazing. Set it up in 10 mins. Then the speeds with the 6ghz band was 900mbps on wifi from a 1gb connection! It doesn’t have the customization as the asus but those settings were confusing and mainly for hobbyists. But overall I would recommend it.

So much better....
We just switched to the Nighthawk wifi router because our old one did not keep a consistent signal. We rarely had service on laptops, phones, etc. The service tech that came out to diagnose the issue recommend this specific router. We have had it for about two weeks now. We have experienced (thankfully) a consistent and strong signal ever since we hooked it up. We are very happy with our purchase.

Instructions for installing are not very good.
First setup went well. Then tried to change the router name.
Had to reach out to tech support to make it work with the cable modem. Took 2 attempts to make it communicate.
Tech support from India was competent and helpful.
Now working well. Happy with the unit.

This Netgear Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi Router was so easy to setup. Very easy instructions using the moblie app. Had an older Nighthawk duo band that has always performed great. But this new Tri-Band RAXE300 runs circles around the old one. Very pleased so far. Highly recomend the upgrade.

Fast, fast, fast - Nighthawk is awesome
Just got this new Nighthawk Tri-Band Wifi 6E Router. Over the past year we moved to all streaming in our 4,000 square foot house. We were having problems with buffering at times, especially for live sports. We have fiber optic wifi so was going to upgrade with our ISP to their highest speed plan, but before doing that decided to update our router with the Nighthawk. What a difference. Download/upload speeds went from average of 14Mbps to 96Mbps with just the router, plus it covers the whole house. So far we are extremely pleased with purchase.

I went from 200-400Gbps upload download to 800-900 Gbps!!!! Even in my backyard I’m still at 700 . The setup was super easy, I was able to get everything connected and running in 10 minutes. It makes it even easier if you change device name and password to your previous router because it will auto connect all devices without having to go log in on every single one. I get hourly updates through the app for security defense and can put parental controls on my kids devices. Absolutely worth every penny.

It's hard to understand why I can be one moment connected to the internet and suddenly not be recognized by your network. Only rebooting the computer will reconnect it. Then suddenly a network printer is randomly recognized by the network. None of these issues were present with a much less expensive TPLink router. When your PC is recognized by the router all is fine until is not. I am starting to regret making this purchase. What I thought was going to be an upgrade has been actually an expensive downgrade.

Setup was straightforward. The 5 GHz signal reaches almost twice as far compared to another leading brands router of the same price range. The 2.4 GHz signal is enough to reach both floors and all areas of our 2,000 square foot home. It’s even more impressive that the router is located in the very back corner of our log cabin and it still provides whole home coverage. We have 1 gig fiber internet and this router speeds test at 1006 download and 1006 upload. The 6 GHz band works perfect with my quest 3 for wireless pcvr. Very happy with my new router!

Handles the fastest speeds, easy to set up, and has a small footprint. Upgraded from an older netgear router which lasted about 5-6 years. Has decent range @ 2500 sqft without any extenders. Definitely need an internet upgrade for 1gig/2gig speeds if you want to see any noticeable differences. Will recommend this product!

Install went slick!
With the Nighthawk App the installation went super smooth. The only hiccup was I had to call my service provider to get a couple numbers. I have a 3000 sq ft home and the router is on one far side. The bedrooms the farthest away through several walls have a full signal. I only installed it a week ago but I have not had any issues.

I purchased this to replace an aging Asus RT-AC87U. I was a little hesitant with WiFi 6E being so new, but the speeds of 6ghz cannot be argued with. The 5ghz channel comfortably covers my 2 story house and the 2.4ghz covers a decent bit of my garage and yard. The app is sleek and the ux is quite intuitive. I would recommend this to anyone with a small to medium house and multiple devices.

The Nighthawk RAXE300 is a Solid Router
Overall this router has rock solid performance e and has good coverage for the average 3 bedroom, 2 bath house or apartment. The setup was a breeze through the app and makes common settings and insights easy to find. The only reason for star removal is parental controls and device checks are behind a paywall(unlike Asus) and web interface leaves a lot to be desired but it shouldn’t be used by many.

Worked for my internet, but the wifi did not work. I am sure there was a simple reason, but my device had no instructions or problem solving FAQ. I ended up returning the device. I am disappointed, because I was counting on Nighthawk to resolve my streaming buffering. There should be instructions with the device. A fluke maybe.

Beats my 3 Eero 6 Pro Mesh
Every household has one; I’ve been anointed the IT person for us. Doesn’t seem to matter what I do, someone complains. Probably close to an actual IT professional. We used the “stock” modem and router setup that comes with Spectrum’s “Gig” internet package. It was fine, but everyone complained about spotty coverage.
Enter the Eero mesh. I was positive this would solve all our issues. It was completely overkill for our needs. And maybe it was because even with coverage all over the house, I think it caused handoff miscues between each node. I tried removing one node at a time to see if that would help; never did.
Finally got tired of the complaints and figured we just needed a single badass router that could handle our busy device (40 ) needs. Walked into the blue and yellow retailer with better buys and walked out with the NETGEAR RAXE300. I said if we’re going to fix it, it needs to be a single badass router and so far that’s exactly what I’ve been sold.
The only real mishap was the actual switch of the network; even though it was the same SSID, most if not all devices had to log back into the network.

Solid Router
The RAXE300 is my third netgear router. One thing I really like is the design. Previous models I've owned had flimsy antennas. The antennas on this model are really sturdy and a nice upgrade. Setup was mostly simple, with some minor trial and error. Overall, my internet speeds have been solid and I am very happy with the RAXE500.

Easy to setup a few annoyances
This router was pretty easy to setup and get running, it has performed admirably in the few weeks I've been using it. The settings are easy to modify and explained pretty well in the app though a bit limited if you want to dig in, more options are available by logging in via the browser. There were 2 issues though. My wife's NAS would not work appear on the network when directly connected to the router so we had to setup a network switch a little annoying but luckily we had one. The other problem is the frequency with which it asks about getting a tech support plan. Really annoying shouldn't have to say no more than twice felt like it happened more than that. It was not difficult or annoyingly time consuming to click away from thankfully.

It took several hours and dozens of attempts to finally get the router to connect to the Nighthawk modem. Since connecting I am experiencing daily drops from streaming services. My house is < 2,000 sq ft so range should not be an issue.

Got this to be a single router for a whole home instead of worrying about multiple routers or repeaters and it does amazing at even the very edge of the ends of the house. Anything that is too far away to be wired would easily be able to communicate with this router. A little expensive but it seems to be worth it as long as it lasts a few years.

I got one that seems to drop off. We were streaming tv last night and it was buffering (briefly) about 10 times watching Perry Mason. The thing is way faster most of the time, then what I had. I can't get 5g on my phone outside like I could with the cheesy unit. We're really close to bringing it back... other phones though, it's way faster inside then it was. I went 2g on my A53 Samsung and it was better. Netgear, I'm sorry to have write a somewhat negative review.. I'm a business and I know how these reviews help people say yay, or nay.

Does not have the range it says.
Rage says up to 2,000 Square feet after about 12 to 1300 ft.² 5G range drops drastically.
If you are within 1200 Square foot or less it works great.
The app features are also nice to have. Can turn off wifi with app when needed. Also has parental controls that are app controlled very easy to use.
If you need it for longer distances, I would recommend a 500 series.

I have multiple device within my 1800sqft of Area which 50 devices communicate very well no zero lagging with my 1gig speed network, i paired it with a CM1200 Netgear Nighthawk modem. Honestly, i haven’t had any issues.

I upgraded to 1 Gig service and my previous router wasn't cutting it. I read some reviews and decided on this gem. It was a super easy install, downloaded the app and setup was fast. The software that you can purchase isn't needed to function. I declined the expensive service. So I have a 2300 sqft home 4 tvs with 4 firesticks plus computers so I needed a workhorse. This router has been running flawlessly and haven't had one issue of any kind. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Fast, easy to use app, and reliable.

Great Upgrade to the AC4000
Had an AC4000 for years, and had to upgrade due to the old router going out. Setup for this new router only took about five minutes, with ten minutes to have it up and running with all devices connected right out of the box. The AXE7800 works really well with the online portal, and has seamless updates made on the user end. I’m usually opposed to using phone apps to control parts of my home, but the Netgear app in conjunction with this the AXE7800 model works great. The UI is highly intuitive and very easy to use. Overall very happy with this router.

I upgraded my 4000 to the RAXE300 (8000). The first thing I noticed was the 5ghz band was way faster and cleaner. Even my Sony TV which has a notoriously awful wifi speed was 2.5x's faster on bandwidth tests (Now It is getting 250 down). Also the newest firmware seems very stable and the Wired ports are providing solid connection going into the Netgear managed Gig switch running everything in my entertainment center.

Transitioning to a new internet provider required a new router. Purchasing felt better than renting. The unit connected flawlessly with the new provider modem. The phone app was easy to use and provided easy to follow steps. The system was back online in less than 10 minutes after modem connection.

Confusing that from a retailer it is the 7800 but from Netgear it is the 300 but whatever you call it, we like that this has improved our Wi-Fi speeds on our devices! And the ethernet connections have improved as well. We still use our R7000 as an extender ethernet access point for our gaming devices. We have noticed that our connection speeds have improved utilizing this system as the 7800 has an even higher wired speed than the 7000.
Our Wi-Fi connections for our other devices show a nearly 1Gig connection speed now, since our 7000 could not connect higher than 500 mbps.
Best Buy had a sale that made this new router a purchase we could afford.

Exceeded Expectations!
I recently purchased a home and decided to ditch the ISP provided modem/router to avoid rental fees and wow was i blown away. I have 1 gig internet and paired this router with a Netgear Nighthawk CM1000. The speeds I'm getting are faster than I've ever experienced. No buffer time on any video streams no matter where I am in the house (router in upstairs office of 2600sqft house). I highly recommend for anyone looking to avoid rental fees and possibly a mesh system.

Initial setup via phone app was clunky and did not work. Had trouble detecting the internet. The only method that worked was a factory reset followed by setup via a browser. After setup worked like a charm.
As far as features go, it would be nice to have control over blocking services to different IPs by different schedules.

Huge improvement over TP-Link AX1800
For us, this router at full price would be way out of our budget - but we bought our Nighthawk refurbished for about $220, and it feels like a $400 upgrade. We knew it was going to be better than our previous budget-priced router, which suffered from random drops in connection regardless of how close/far you were, but the effective range of the nighthawk’s 5G band from across the house nearly outperformed our wifi extender. At any time we probably have about 4-8 devices that are in use, and so far we haven’t had any issues between streaming, gaming, or downloading big files.

I do like how the 6 built in wifi antennas are hidden inside the routers flaps I suppose you could call em, no need for adjusting or breaking off this wifi routers antennas. Signal for 2.4 ghz band is superb throughout my home and yard. 5 ghz is great with a nide wide area throughout my home and yard. The 6 ghz is definitely not as strong, especially when you roam throughout my yard. But thats ok as I cut2only have 2 devices ( Galaxy S22 U

This router is amazing. I was using a loaner router from my service provider. Getting maybe 120 gbps. Unpacked and installed the nighthawk (which only took 5 minutes) ran speed test on phone pc and laptop. 980 gbps. It’s nice to know that I’m getting what i pay for. Great product app works well also.

The smart phone app provided easy to follow installation and setup instructions. The Nighthawk is installed in our basement at one corner of the house and easily WiFi communicates with a printer at the opposite corner of the house on the first floor. Smart phones and our Firestick work throughout the house including on the second floor. The 2.5Gb port is perfect for wire connecting to our NAS box, and our main PCs are hardwired to the 1 Gb ports.

bought this to finally resolve streaming issues with pausing/freezing of tv programs; made decision to hardwire all tv's and firestick devices, as my wifi couldn't provide sufficient speed on its own. While Netgear tech personnel, before purchase decision was made, wholeheartedly told me that this router would eliminate pausing issues, it has been successful in eliminating 90% of prior problem. Pausing instances are rarely more than 2-3 seconds in duration and only occur once per show or movie watched.

The Wi-Fi is incredibly fast with a minimum of 5 devices and Max of around 10 at any given time. Our home is concrete so it struggles to get to the far edges of the home but we’re ordering an extender to assist. Very very happy

Great router, for the future
Will not work with older wifi products like the Sonos system and several other smart home products. It's great for all my newer products, but anything on an older antenna will not work. and the app you have to use instead of logging on with a laptop doesn't give you nearly the options as the older nighthawk

I now have 2 of these Shark Fin routers and they are working great, and I really like the speeds they put out :) plus the USB and Aggregate on the back gives me NAS and storage ideas!

I have been very happy with my Nighthawk WiFi 6E router RAXE300. I live in a 2000 sq foot 2 story home, not including the basement. The router is on the second floor. The coverage is good even in the basement. I have not noticed any speed drop off in any location in my home. I did need a little help setting it up but that was because I missed a step. Netgear tech support was very helpful. This is my second Netgear Router. I bought this one because I switched to a 500 mps fiber internet connection. if I wanted to upgrade to a gig or more, I can still use this router. My experience with this product has been excellent.

Solid router
Our old router went kaput so we decided to spend more money and upgrade to see what all the fuzz was about. The 5 star reviews were not wrong, aside from the better speeds, the accompanying app provides a convenient way to manage who, what and when can connect to the internet. It’s only been two weeks so hopefully the joy will last years.

I've been long overdue for a new router for my small business. My outgoing router was only giving me half the wired speed at its best and regularly disconnected. I needed to upgrade and I went for the best - Nighthawk. So easy to set up. A great app to monitor activity and change settings. Zero speed loss from a wired connection. Great speed and coverage
Previous to purchasing my Netgear Nighthawk I had poor speed and dead spots around my home with Spectrum Router. Now! I have great coverage especially with my security cameras and the speed has increased 190%. I highly recommend purchasing this product as it will make your online life much easier and you'll see a huge difference with all your devices. Thanks Netgear.

Absolutely amazing!
Purchased this router as an upgrade to the standard issue ISP issued router, and immediately noticed a HUGE difference.
I can separate the devices to keep each band less cluttered and allow the more demanding devices to access the 5/6G bands, while keeping the generic devices - like smart home plugs, on the 2.4G bands. This has really allowed each device to operate much more efficient!

Powerful, sleek, dependable.
After a huge disastrous experience with amplifi’s Alien router it is a fresh breath of air to have something powerful and “just work” straight out of the box.
Set up was painless, the design is surprisingly more sleek than I though it to be from reviews. Security cameras, inside cameras and all the items AMPLIFI couldn’t find, this product did straight away.
Conclusion: if you’re not a big tech guru and need something that “works” and does a great job this is the router for you.

It just works (and so much better)
Like the title states, “it just works”. The RAXE300 is much better than my ISP provided router. I had a game console that wouldn’t pick up signal from across the house and now I have full connection bars. Setup was simple with the mobile app and I love the NETGEAR Armor functionality.

Other than having to spend about 3 hrs. On the phone with tech support to update firmware and reconfigure the router it works great. It increased the area that the wifi reaches. I have a nighthawk modem and router and wouldn't use anything else.

Netgear Nighthawk Router Working Fine
We recently bought and installed a new Netgear Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300). The install was fairly easy. It is a little earlier to tell, but it seems to be working well. We were having problems with our internet before, so we really hope it solves our problems.

Incredible router
It's an incredible router, we are able to stream videos with great quality on 5G, but haven't been able to test it with a 6E connection yet. We also had an old nighthawk router that was excellent and thats why we decided to buy another one.

Works as needed.
Purchased this to replace a router that was 8 years old. To be honest I can't tell the difference. I'm not a heavy duty user, have 26 items connected ranging from phone to cameras. Coverage is good. I wished I would have made more research and gotten the mesh version of it. Overall happy with this product.

I’ve had in service for a couple of weeks now and haven’t had any issues…the app is very easy to work with and makes management of networks a breeze. Provides consistent speeds up and down and WiFi signal seems strong throughout my 2200+ house, so far I’m happy with it…

It’s true that you get what you pay for. This was by far NOT the cheapest but does SOOO much better than any previous router we have had. Very satisfied and I hope it last for a long time to come but as it stands now, the best I’ve used!

Surprising upgrade
I bought the RAXE300 to replace my R8000P which had been great until it began to fail. I picked the RAXE300 due to having a family that streams a lot. The wifi 6E feature was a curiousity. So far I am really impressed with the coverage the wifi is providing compared to teh R8000P. I have full signal strength through my 2400 SQFT house, where the R8000P has dead spots. During the initial setup I tested the router with my cellphone to make sure the wifi was working. I put my cellphone in airplane mode and notice the 6e signal disappeared. Not that it was a problem, just the unexpected operation of the 6e network being tied to my cell antenna.
The setup is the typical netgear web interface. The app configurations with netgear continue to not work for me. I have attempted to do with with 4 different routers in the last couple years, and this one is no exception.
All in all I am very pleased with the router after a week of service.

I older router wasn’t giving me the most of my internet service. Best I could get with my old router was 200 mbps now I’m getting over 900 mbps on both wired and wireless (and in every part of my house)! Plus its ready if I upgrade from 1g internet to 2.4g or higher! ????

Stealth Fighter Router
The Netgear Nighthawk RAXE300 not only resembles a state of the art stealth fighter, it also takes total command and control of the WiFi air space just like stealth fighter aircraft take complete ownership of their air-based environment. Quite seriously, since installing the Nighthawk router, I have experienced nothing but WiFi bliss. Unbelievably easy to install and operate using excellent step-by-step instructions provided by NetGear; a well designed and user friendly phone app for monitoring everything important about the router and its performance; and most importantly, a super reliable speed-of-light connection to the internet. And even though the routers specs indicate a coverage area of around 2500 sq ft, I live in a house that is somewhat larger and every single inch is covered with excellent service. I am not a robot, nor am I a computer guy, but as a reasonably normal human I swear that the Nighthawk RAXE300 is a fantastic router that will far exceed expectations. I didn’t know that WiFi could be so sweet simply by installing a NetGear Nighthawk router. And with the name “Nighthawk,” it even sounds cool.

I appreciate the futuristic aesthetics of the router, ease of setup, and interface menus. I was hoping I would get better Wi-Fi speed and single strength (with 6 antennas and new tech) versus the old Netgear Nighthawk R7000 dual band router (with 3 antennas) that’s 7 years old. I probably should have purchased a mesh router system.

I've had the router for over a week now upgrading from a 10 year old version of a nighthawk. Right out of the gate I noticed improvement with speed and range. The look is somewhat futuristic and kind of cool. It seems very durable and setup was pretty easy even for me. really liked that I could use my old routers name etc. Haven't had any issues at this point and glad I made the purchase ( which was a little spendy) but worth it to me .

Really easy to set up. I unplugged two other routers before plugging in the Nighthawk and it discovered everything seamlessly. Setup took no more than 10 minutes total.
It’s also very fast. Right out of the gate way, way faster than my other two routers, and I haven’t even set up the 6g channel yet. I’m running smoothly with 15 devices. Very happy so far (2 weeks.

Had an older nighthawk but my wife's newer work lap top was getting connection issues with all my devices being on the same band. Upgrading to this with the new 6GHz band allowed her work laptop to have basically its own frequency and no more drop outs/stuttering Zoom calls/glitches. GG.

Better than Verizon’s Router.
After years of dealing with Verizon's terrible proprietary router, I decided to go ahead and just try to manage my own router myself and had prior experience with NETGEAR and their devices so I figured why not, let's try their Nighthawk model. Price tag is steep, so I went with the model I felt most comfortable with for what I needed.
Let me tell you, this device is nothing short of amazing. The set-up is so simple and easy that I was really surprised at how uniquely user-friendly it was to put together. It's almost literally plug-and-play, download the app, set up the SSID name and password and you're good to go. That's it!
The app is ridiculously good in terms of providing a sense of complete control over your wireless environment and the 1-year free subscription of its Netgear ARMOR security feature is pretty awesome too. It notifies you the moment a new device connects and it does a vulnerability check to make sure that device doesn't have anything that could compromise the security of your network. It gives you the ability to test the connection speed direct to the router and allows you to create profiles for parental controls.
The full parental control experience seems to be locked behind another subscription as well, which is my only gripe about this is that (along with everything else in 2023) there's subscription services attached. However, even without paying for it, it does what I need it to do without a problem.
Ever since I started with this, I've had zero connectivity issues (unlike Verizon's router), I've had greater speeds than the Verizon model on all my devices, and above all else, I feel like I'm in control of my home network again. It's great.

After trying several other brands 6E offerings with little to no success for various reasons, I tried this baby out. Easiest setup of any tried, even the Nest Pro. Has every advance option needed and the ability to handle my over 1gig connection with ease, two things most others lacked. Best range of any of the 6 other routers I tried. Also absolutely love the Parental Control and Armor portions of the app.

Fast with excellent area coverage
This is my second Netgear Night hawk router and an upgrade from the last one. Both are excellent. This new model was extremely easy to setup and is very fast, Also the area coverage is great and solid. My wife and I are very satisfied with this and our faster connect times.

Lightning Fast

Very fast and solid wifi signal throughout my home and yard.
It needs a good strong internet connection to get connected but once my ISP worked out their issues it was great. Very fast connection. My house isn't very large so I get a strong connection at one of the 3 levels in every room of my house and the backyard. Customer service was outstanding once I got to the person I needed. I did spend a lot of time on hold.
Overall very happy with my purchase. I wish it had as many ports as the AC1900.

I was able to control wifi for my family… I can now turn off wifi and set limits, even though I had to subscribe to the service, it is a great tool for a modern parent. My internet speed seems like it was boosted a bit too. It’s been a great experience!

Setup was easy, but I turned to the web browser
The unit functioned as promised. The APP got the job done, but to really see what is going on, I went to the web browser that is part of the device. RAXE500 was overkill, so I got the RAXE300. If you are upgrading to 1Gbs speed, be sure to upgrade all your cables (I am using CAT8, which is overkill; cat6e or so should work), and upgrade your switchers to Gigabit units.

MR1100 to AXE7800
I connected the AXE7800 to a Netgear MR1100 cell router. Now that it's set up it works great, but there is not a lot of help setting up this kind of connection.

Bat Wing router flies
I have owned it for 3 weeks now and it works great. My laptop connects with Wifi 6, and my new phone connects at Wifi 6E. Haven't had any problems with the Wifi, routing, etc.
I do wish they would bring back remote access via the Web interface, or add the features to the Nighthawk App. The Nighthawk App does not have the same features on the Security tab, so remotely I cannot turn of Acces control, that somehow was turned on at the lake house 5 hours away. It was blocking all mac id's for devices. I'm not sure how that got turned on, but I couldn't turn it off without going there! I have no desire to have Netgear Armor and it would not turn off that Access Control. Otherwise, a great router!

Crazy Awesome WiFi home coverage
Changed modem and router to Netgear Nighthawk products for total home coverage !! Buffering and signal drops are over. RAXE300 is able to handle over 16 wireless devices.

Cheap 6Ghz Band
I bought it because it's the cheapest WiFi 6E router that was not a mesh system. It's overall very good. I would have liked to see more 2.5Gb/s Ethernet ports. With only one I need to choose between 2Gb/s service and 1Gb/s network or 1Gb/s service and 2.5Gb/s network.

Easy setup and fast
Needed a new router cause I couldn’t get more than 91mb from my old one. After less than 15 minutes my nighthawk was running great. Using the nighthawk app my internet speed was 962 mb download and 42 upload, WOW !!!!!

what an upgrade from my other netgear router i had previously. Easy setup with the setup wizard on the nighthawk app, and I saw immediate increase in speeds. This router was able to max out my internet plan's speed where as my other router wasn't cutting it anymore.

Not only was tech help the best one may hope for., the product works with no flaw, that's the rule of standard for quality high fiedelity products that are ever shifting from reginal production. At one time it was USA that was the best, then it was Japan and Hong Kong. Now the shifting of manufacturing, design and production are much more convaluted and fluid. All I know is for me, I am glad with my choice and it's crazy to think better product are comming>? As for as internet access and browsing performanc? I am happy as a bird and my last word is NETGEAR is AWSOM POSSUM!

The setup was fairly easy for this router, only reason it was not 5 stars is that there was an issue during setup that has caused the app to not allow me to credential. Repeated reinstalling has not fixed this issue and it was able to be installed on an alternative device. Pretty uncertain of cause but that’s absolutely my only gripe.

Router is easy to set up, gives you great Wi-Fi signal throughout your house, you can set up a guest Wi-Fi so you do not have to share your password and can handle many devices using Wi-Fi at the same time without losing any signal strength.

I bought this router because I was having issues with wifi strength in my home, I have an older house and there is plaster in the walls as well as other issues for wifi signal to overcome. I was using a mesh network before but this router beats out the mesh system, and it's performance for my NAS home server is amazing

Extremely easy to setup. Upgraded from a Nighthawk 7000 the results were dramatic to say the least. Superb wifi over the entire house and upstairs with no found weak spots. Furtherest wifi desktop Ooka sped test improved by 3 fold on both 2 and 5g networks. Streaming throughout the house on Rokus showing marked improved. Excellent product

I recently purchased the Netgear Nighthawk AXE7800 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router and it ROCKS!
I use it in line with my Netgear Ultra-High Speed Cable Modem
CM1000v2 (FAR superior to what my ISP provided) and we are KILLING the bandwidth in my home!!
It took a little adjustment to get used to the Nighthawk App (as we WERE still using the Genie App)...but Meh...ALL GOOD!!
I would HIGHLY recommend this Router (AND ANY other Netgear product).

Should have switched earlier
I was using the internet provider's router and always had interruptions and inconsistent speeds. Once I switched I haven't had any dropped service or speeds, upload speed has doubled. Setup was super easy as well. It's a little bigger than I was expecting but that hasn't been a problem.

Raxe300 with Wi-Fi 6 is a great improvement over ae (wifi5) went from 300mbps to high 600’s mbps and range has improved significantly with coverage of whole 3000 sq ft and outside in the yard as well.

I live in the country and have only had DSL with dismal speeds. Recently upgraded with this router and a cellular hotspot. It was easy to setup and the speeds have been way better than expected with great range. I would recommend this router to anyone.

Great High-End Router
I love the Netgear Nighthawk series. When my last Nighthawk begun going in and out with it’s wireless bandwidths, I was skeptical of buying another. After doing a lot of online searching, I came to the realization that this Nighthawk is still top of the line when it comes to gaming/streaming routers. I bought this device and I was not displeased. The delivery of the packaging and device made it aesthetically appealing and easy to set up. The dedicated app for the Nighthawk has gotten extremely more advance and the “Armor” security it has is very useful as it tells you when a new device has connected to your router, plus you can manage them and kick as needed. I would say the only downfall at the moment is that the 6Ghz tri-band is so new that not very many devices don’t have a receiver that can detect and connect to that bandwidth yet. Even my PS5 and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Although I will be ready once more devices drop with this type of receiver. Cannot wait to test this router to its fullest potential!

Looking Forward to Another Decade
I bought the original Nighthawk back in 2014. It’s still kicking almost a decade later. Now that I have kids, I decided to upgrade so there’s no issues with the vast amount of demand in my house compared to a decade ago. I have nothing but praise for Netgear. I knew there was no other brand I could consider. When I found out that Nighthawks were still going strong and had only gotten better, I could do only one thing but upgrade to the best router I’ve ever owned. Multiple people will be streaming games and watching tv simultaneously and there’s zero connectivity issues with dozens of devices connected and running at once. It’s able to support my 1GB internet with ease and the WiFi speeds now rival hardwired devices. I love the fact that this router supports all future devices I buy with its WiFi 6 capabilities. I’m looking forward to another decade with a Netgear Nighthawk reliably in my home.

My old R8000P didn't support newer connections while this one even supports 6E. My Pixel 6 does support 6E while no other hardware I have does. I did upgrade my W10 laptop to WiFi 6 to ensure proper operation. I've had no issues with connections or speed. Of course, 6E limits you to being close to the router with minimal walls, etc. but if you need the speed...
The router has been rock-solid with 29 devices connected using a mish-mash of 2.4 and 5 GHZ connections along with some gigabit wired devices. (I really do need to catch up with the rest of the world with my hardware.

I made an Amazon Purchase of NETGEAR Nighthawk® Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router (RAXE300) and worked with NETGEAR Tiger Team Technical Support Specialist Jerry M. who helped me to configure and install RAXE300 connected to FIOS Router/Modem, for the Internet as Verizon FIOS does not provide Static IP Address, Subnet Mask and DNS IP Address for Home Customer. Jerry M. also helped with LAN and Ethernet Configuration Changes to LAN Setup setting IP address, Subnet Mask, and use of Router as DHCP Server with IP address range to eliminate the default IP address of RAXE300 with FIOS Router/Modem IP address and Ethernet Flow Control to avoid packet drops. The New RAXE300 Router Sent by Amazon is doing good for my office setup, with Jerry M's help, and is connecting my two PC wired and wirelessly, and my color and black and white printers wirelessly. RAXE300 is yielding both my PC speeds very close to a gigabit.

Awesome Router!
This Wi-Fi router exceeds my expectations, being able to handle multiple devices connected to my wireless network with blazing fast speeds. NetGear made the setup process simple via the Netgear Nighthawk app. The only minor negative is that I don’t have any devices at this time that can take advantage of connecting to the 6GHz wireless band, but at the same time I’m happy to know that I have future proofed my home network for newer devices that will be 6GHz Wi-Fi compatible.

Very Good Hardware, Security needs Work
Exceptional hardware which is shackled by overly simplistic software. You cannot change the name of the admin account from 'admin' for example. This is Basic Networking 101 and the foundation for every further security step in even basic networks. You cannot blacklist IPs from attempting to probe your network. The router cannot lockout IPs for XX minutes after Y number of failed admin logon attempts. These are all rudimentary security options.
I expect a router with this price tag to carry at least the bare minimum of simple security tools to protect customers. If the security suite for this router can be implemented this would be the perfect router. Great wireless range, ample wired ports and fantastic transfer speeds.

Bought this router after my wifi speeds were slow. After a very easy setup, I'm now getting wifi speeds that match my ethernet speeds. The Nighthawk app is very easy to use as well.

I went from a 2018 Surfboard Rip-current to this Nighthawk and wow am I impressed. I’m actually getting 1Gig Wi-Fi. Just as fast as hardline. I’m really happy with my purchase.

This router is pretty cool, has alot of great features and looks sleek. I would say the only improvements are the plastic it is made with feels a little cheap for the price and the power of the 6ghz band is underwhelming. But other than that I haven’t had any issues!

Powerful and Reliable router
I was looking for a powerful router to provide a reliable network in my apartment building, and it doesn't disappoint. The hardware is great and the app provides a simple set up. I am not a user of their security features, but I do think other products (i.e. Eero) provide similar security settings that don't require a premium subscription.

Good router
This is good router but it is a little head of its time, due to most devices people have in their home does not the ability to see a 6 GHz frequency. I just recently had another NETGEAR router that was giving me issues, Ethernet port connections so, I did a return and purchased this because of the 6E compatibility. If you mind having the new and approve be rest ensure that you need to update your products in the home to so you can see a 6GHz frequency.

I recently moved and had to install new internet to my new home. My old Nighthawk was a cable modem/router, but my new service is fiber optic, necesitating the purchase of a new unit. I did some research and ended up going with this well-reviewed item because I'd been so happy with my last nighthawk. This router is BLAZING fast, and the Netgear app made set-up incredibly easy and stress free. Thrilled with my speeds, and the design is pretty cool too! (sort of a batman-retro look!). 5-stars

I was not impressed with the signal strength for the money. It says it can cover 2500sq Ft but it struggles to surpass 120 mb/sec download speed on our PlayStation upstairs on a 1GB service.

Rewarding Performance
This router has rewarding performance. The 6ghz network is blazing fast! In addition, having three bands - 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and 6Ghz allows more devices to connect without interference. Overall the router interface is excellent as are the configurable options. It was over $400 but well worth it, and i expect it to last 4 to 5 years.

Amazing works way better then my old router
Went with the Night Hawk after my old google router died. Heard great things about it and decided to get one. It did not disappoint. Blowing me away with its capabilities. The set up was a bit tough due to technical difficulties on my end, after I got it all set up my whole household was ecstatic over how much of a boost in performance we got. I highly recommend the Night Hawk line of products as it's very versatile and great at what it does.

I have about 25 devices on the network, and they seem to all be doing just fine. I did notice at least one device on the wi-fi 6 band, but it doesn’t seem any different than the other bands of wi-fi. During setup, I changed the default SSID and password, and then for some reason it made me restart the entire startup process. Once the setup was completed again, I reset the SSID and password. The router then did a firmware update and made me complete the setup again, for a third time. Once again I changed my SSID and password and thankfully, it has been steady since then. I already had the app installed from my previous router and altogether, the setup took about an hour from unboxing to solid connection to all devices. I did read some reviews about power outages requiring a new setup, but thankfully my power supply is quite reliable and have not encountered the problems other reviewers have mentioned. I have a smart tv, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 connected via LAN and don’t notice any improvements over my previous Nighthawk (which is now discontinued). My fiber internet is labeled as 100mb to the modem and with the Nighthawk app I am getting a constant 114-115mb download over wi-fi. Overall a good router for LAN and wi-fi.

I would have been happy with the extended range and the same speed as our old router. Surprised to have such speed wirelessly to our devices. It’s what I world have expected only with a direct Ethernet cable connection. It’s a joy to run speed tests just to see how fast it really is! I give it five stars!

The download speeds are fast. Even though they advertise 1g wifi the best I could get was 500mb. Still faster then my old router. The setup is buggy. Had to go thru the setup 3 times for it to actually work.

Runs all my devices wifi without fail, I'm a hard-core gamer and often have friends over to game with. We never have any issues with lag or hogging bandwidth from each other. Haven't had a good router like this in forever.

Great upgrade to older Nighthawk
Purchased this router to replace a Nighthawk R9000 that had served me well for many years. Upgraded to gain access to WiFi 6 and also needed a router that could easily handle the demands of a household with an ever increasing number of connected devices (e.g., gaming, streaming, surfing, smartphone, etc.), especially when kids are home from college. This device has proved to be a winner and delivers performance as advertised. Set-up was easy, signal strength is better in remote parts of my home and the performance has been excellent thus far.
I considered stepping up to the Orbi but liked the simplicity of configuring a single device and also liked the more economical price. As mentioned earlier, swapping out an older Nighthawk for this one is super simple.

Huge upgrade
Upgraded from the stock router the ISP gave us and this is a huge game changer. Between all the baby devices logged on, nest this, smart home that……my video calls for work are now flawless through all that traffic. I couldn’t be happier with this router. Future proofed it a bit with the 6E (we have no devices using that tech currently, but I plan to have this router for a while so it’s a smart option to toss in now imo.
If you’re searching for a router, stop going down the rabbit hole of reviews and buy a solid router from Netgear. Obvs I’m loving this one, but you can spend up or down a bit on a similar model to fit your needs too. Happy streaming!

Blazing fast spaceship
Upgraded my internet speed into the 2gig range recently and wanted to upgrade the router to increase coverage in the home. The NETGEAR Nighthawk RAXE300 is a HUGE spaceship router. Seriously think about where it will go because it takes up a decent amount of space. Speeds are great via the ethernet port and wifi 6e signal, with all devices hitting 1gig speeds. Range is great if you can find a good location for it, just remember that wifi 6e has a much shorter range so devices further away would perform better on the 2.4ghz band.

Small home High Speed Router
This router does what I expected it to do. As with most Netgear products, it comes with minimal setup instructions and I had to call support to troubleshoot the setup. After multiple attempts, the Netgear representative gave me instructions different than those in the box and it worked. This router works fine with Xfinity in my 1500 sq ft house. I paired it with the Nighthawk CM2000 2.5 gb cable modem to avoid the lag of modem/router combos. Don't forget, wifi 6 option only works with a separate adapter at this time until new products support it.

I've been a long time Eero user. I've used every generation of their product from the beginning, and, despite it being pretty dumbed down wifi, it works. I'd recently been turned onto Firewalla, and have been using a Firewalla Gold as my router, with the Eero Pro 6E's in bridge mode to handle wifi on my home network. I have an Xfinity 1.2 GB connection for my internet connection. Overall, with the Eero Pro 6E's I get anywhere from 600-700 Mbps throughout my home (about 4000 sq ft.
I'd heard great things about the Nighthawk routers, and with this one being among the newest and most powerful, and utilizing the latest 6E wifi technology, I thought it would be great to finally try out. While this router does claim to only cover 2500 sq ft, I took a risk and picked it up. I imagine the larger RAXE500 may be better suited to my home, due to its size.
The router comes in a decent sized box, and, I have to admit, opening it up, I was surprised to see how large it is. It comes folded up, and has stickers indicating to fold the

Installed the RAXE300 after my ISP gateway. Used the IP passthrough to the router. Easy to install and had it up and running within 30 minutes. Great wireless signal throughout my 4,200 sq ft house and hitting 950 Gbps on the wired connections. Very happy with my purchase.

I recently purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300) and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed! One of the standout features is its powerful 1.7GHz quad-core processor, which makes a noticeable difference in speed and performance.
Setting up the router was a breeze and the user interface is very user-friendly. I now have Netgear Xfinity cable data and voice modem, separate Netgear router and a Netgear wifi extender. They replaced Xfinity rental modem/router. No amount of telephone contact could get the Xfinity equipment to work. Several hours of SMS chat with Xfinity got the Netgear purchased modem working. The router and extender setup with the Nighthawk app was seamless. Speed tests show a dramatic improvement between Xfinity rental equipment and Netgear. I've been paying for 600 mbs for years and never got more than 250 mbs download. With Netgear the measure of download is 700 mbs on the Nighthawk app speed test and 260 on OpenSignal app? I use Opensignal app for speed tests. With Xfinity modem/rounter many apps and devices stopped working. Everything now works. I have the 200 page router PDF user manual on my iPad. I shall go through it to see what I can do with the router. The network disk drive looks interesting. I need to know more about Netgear Armour before I try it. I will look for the documentation. I have Apple iPhones, iPad, Apple TV, Windows 7 and 10 computers, Android cell phone, Samsung Android A7 tablet and a Sonicdust HDHomerun ATSC 3.0 OTA TV tuner on my home network. All are now working. I could not say this for the Xfinity modem/router.

The perfect router for my house.
I was coming from an old all in one router modem combo. With two people working from home it wasn’t doing the job anymore. I also didn’t want to rent one from the cable company. After doing some research I went with the highly recommended NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300). What a difference it made with my internet speeds on all my devices. My main issue was the computer in the farthest part of my house. Prior I was only able to get speeds around 40-50mb/s. After being able to connect to 5G with the NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300) my speeds are around 600mb/s! Also the app for the router is awesome. You can see every device connect to the router and the security has already saved me a few times. I would highly recommend this router to anyone.

Setup was more difficult than expected, requiring hours of time on the phone with Netgear support, who were great and ultimately everything is now working fine. The Nighthawk app does not work on my iPhone - doesn't allow login for some reason, but can access the router online with a browser.

I finally replaced my older Nighthawk with the new RAXE300, and I liked the fact that it doesn't have all the lights flashing on and off like my old one did, it has a more modern internet interface, and I appreciated the support help (I needed help setting up because I don't use dynamic IP).

Pros: Cool look and a good high speed router. it has about 15 devices connected at a time. Including cameras, smart home devices and video game consoles. Occasionally my childrens friends with Nintendo switches come over to game with my kids and this router has no trouble keeping up. Downside: the parental controls and other features are a subscription service and that's not made apparent when purchasing.

And easy to set up. Now being a knucklehead I usually run into self made difficulties like trying to change the password for placing a new device in the network versus changing the password to log into the router’s settings and thinking they should be the same. This router’s setup is dummy proof. My isp kept saying I’m paying for more bandwidth than my previous router allows. So I upgraded and the increase in speed is significant: 1.7 GB versus 600 MB. One of the best choices I ever made.

I tried the router provided by my service provider and couldn’t get a strong WiFi signal. I then tried the Google mesh routers which was a little better but still not strong enough for the whole house. I hooked up the night hawk and BAM WiFi all over the house. Lighting fast and has zero dead spots in my house! I highly recommend this product!

Great Router with a bonus
I am no techie, but I set up my Neatgear RAXE300 one Saturday morning with ease. The smartphone app is easy to use and I now actually get the internet speeds I have been paying for that I wasn't achieving with my old wifi even though my old router claimed it would give my the higher speeds. The added bonus is you can put you get a years subscription to Bitdefender for all of your connected computers, tablets and smartphones. I have used Bitdefender for years because it has been reviewed as one of the best. A one year subscription was an bonus to buying this easy set up and use router!

More than pleased with the functionality of this router. Had a bit of an issue setting it up. Kept getting an error that “router was not found”. Had a quick call with NETGEAR support and we got it resolved quickly. I’ve never had speed this fast for internet. My husband is the tech guru, so he would be able to explain the speed test results we get better than I. We have had spectrum in the past (hated it) and we recently moved to an area where we can only have spectrum. We decided to get our own router this time to avoid all the issues we had previously. SO worth the extra money getting the nighthawk.

Since paying an exorbitant amount of Monet for this router, I had very high hopes and expectations. The router itself has been better than my old cable-provided router, but every so often it stops working and stops broadcasting. I filed a support ticket, but their support is incredibly difficult to deal with. Other than that, I receive incredibly vague alerts stating that the modem blocked a treat, but there is no detail available other than 'you've been protected," and I want to know more. Lastly, they harass you non-stop to sign up for parental controls. I can't even tell you how many times I have been contacted or suggested to sign up for something I DO NOT NEED. I never expected NeatGear to be this years cautionary tale. There you have it. Good luck.

We started having intermittent issues with our old internet set up (NETGEAR modem and a couple of ASUS routers linked into an aimesh, it was at least 7 years old) and decided to replace everything with newer netgear equipment including new modem and router. Internet speed immediately went up for 30% upon setting everything up, setup was very easy and intuitive as well as using an app. So far so good and we hope it stays that way for a long time

The Wi-Fi is awesome, I have over 25 devices connected and no issues with speed. My 4K tv has a great picture with no drop offs while streaming. A couple of issues that I don’t understand is that when any of the tv’s are connected with the Ethernet cable it doesn’t work. They drop off while streaming and the picture is not very good. It may not be related to the router but very frustrating. The other issue is that the Nighthawk app just does not work. The app will not connect to the router no matter what I do. I have to go through the browser to connect to the router.

This is my second Netgear WiFi router in over 10 years! The quality of Netgear products is outstanding and outlasting. The Nighthawk router was easy to install, the application guides you easily through the process and allows you to set it up right from your phone, in no time. So far it’s working great, no slowdowns or buffering. I highly recommend it.

Worth the money

Easy to set-up, stable
I bought this router to use with my Oculus Quest 3, to have wireless VR between my computer and headset. It has worked flawlessly - good speeds, and the router has been stable.
