The One-Channel Optical nTAP includes a connection to either side of the full-duplex link under test and a standard full-duplex analyzer connection. Optical nTAPs support gigabit single-mode, gigabit multimode, and 10 GB single-mode and multimode traffic. LC connections are standard.
Optical nTAPs split the full-duplex signal from the network into two signals, sending one signal back to the network and the other signal to the monitoring device, which is required to be equipped with a dual-receive capture card.
Every nTAP works with the leading security and network management tools, so you can easily deploy them throughout the network. As with all nTAPs, optical nTAPs are transparent, allowing you to monitor critical links without data stream interference. And by installing nTAPs, you never need to bring the link down to connect a monitoring device.
