Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite OtterBox I just upgraded to an iPhone 11. I have had OtterBox Defender cases for my iPhone 4, 5 and 6. I held on to my iPhone 6 way longer than my other phones. The wear and tear took its toll on the swivel on the belt clip for my defender case. Since I knew I was planning on upgrading to the iPhone 11 soon, I didn’t worry about replacing the belt clip and just carried my phone in my pocket. I got so used to it when it came time to get my new phone I thought I would try the Commuter series case. It’s just the right size and fits into my hand and pocket easily. I really am glad I stayed with OtterBox but switched to a different series.

I trust them to keep my phone safe, since you never know when you might drop it. iPhones, by nature, have a slick feeling and easily slide out of pockets, etc. With an Otter Box, there is better grip and confidence that even if the phone fell, it would be safe.

We've just spent an hour on the site and still have no idea how to make this happen. Ironically, it seems like the only functionality we've been able to access is the "how would you rate our service" pop-ups that keep cutting off any effort of engaging by chat. Ironically, my daughter found the case that she wanted on Amazon yesterday for delivery today, but we discussed it and she agreed that under the current economic situation we didn't want to ask a seller for a refund if we can swap out. FWIW we just ordered the replacement on Amazon (an Otterbox.

That’s a goid thing because that spongy material broke down and crumbled after about 6 years of use. I keep my phones, cars, houses, etc a long time and I’m glad my protective case will last as long as my phone.

The thing I dislike about it is the rubber part on the front of the case has become discolored from putting the phone in my jeans pocket. My jeans aren't new and don't rub color off on anything else. It's frustrating because cases aren't cheap and it already looks worn and old. I've had the case for about a month.

I don’t fear dropping my phone nor will I due to the grip provided as well. However, I wish the case was more slim. Whenever, I am out running errands or at work, I tend to put my phone in my front pocket to get it out of the way, but it’s just to big which makes it uncomfortable. That’s the only down side in my opinion. 4/5 Stars!

The opening for the silence switch constantly turns off the switch leaving me with missed calls. The opening is just too small any the case doesn't hold the phone in the exact position to keep it from shutting the switch off. Happens several times a day! Annoying!

I dropped it while standing over concrete and the cover was damaged but not the actual phone. I contacted OtterBox and within three days they had sent me a brand new case. I’m not an engineer but this box seems to be very sturdy and well designed for the commuter office worker weekend renovation warrior. I like that it’s not so thick in my jeans pocket which is where I’m grabbing it but I don’t worry about the cellphone getting damaged by the occasional bump. Great Job / Great Design

I upgraded my iPhone from the original SE for some more real estate and storage, but the old one fit in my pockets much easier! A bit difficult to get this in and out of Jean pockets; before small side pockets on my pants could hold my iPhone.

This item just came to me with the case protector only. Nice case. OtterBox are the best, but I regret not reading the features section as now I Have to purchase the matching screen protector.

I had always gotten the Defenders, which I still love, but the rubber, after years of daily use, ripped off, exposing part of the phone. I had to go to the store as I wanted to get one that day and all they had was Commuters so I got one. I like how the rubber is on the inside and the hard plastic on the outside. I think it will help prevent the rubber from peeling or breaking off since it is not what will take the daily exposure. My son loved it so much he wanted one and he wanted this color so I ordered this one for him as the store only had black. It is stylish. My only complaint is because it is hard plastic on the outside it is much more slippery.

Recorded message asked if a call back was needed and when I agreed, it never happened and BTW the sent case ( commuter) does NOT fit. Oh, and you charge a lot more than anyone else on the internet.

Every 2 weeks I’ll take the case off and clean the glass but that’s the only time I take it off.

I wanted a 2-piece case that had a cover for the charging outlet and wasn't really slippery. Otterbox was pretty much it and I have had Otterbox cases in the past. I am disappointed by how slippery it still is. I had a Defender series for my last phone and loved it, but if I put a Defender on this phone it's so bulky it won't fit in my pocket. There is a bit of grip around the volume and power buttons but otherwise it's pretty smooth, so when I prop it up on a table it slips. Not many colors to choose from. Just so so.

This Otterbox case is more blue than green which was disappointing. The color on website also appeared to be more green than the case I recieved.

I originally bought another Symmetry case for my iPhone 11 but was a little disappointed to find they had slimmed them down a little. I had also found this with my iPhone X Symmetry case, but thought I’d try another with the hope they’d gone back to the more protective design of the past. Anyway, my wife bought the Commuter for her iPhone 11 as she wasn’t super happy with mine. The moment hers arrived, I knew I had to have one! That night I got on the OtterBox website and ordered a blue one for my new iPhone despite already having had the Symmetry for only a couple of weeks. The Commuter case seems to offer plenty of protection from every angle and is very grippy compared to the Symmetry. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking the Symmetry, it’s a great case and I’m happy to have it but it just doesn’t offer the level of protection I need in a case in it’s current form being a tradesperson. Having said that, I couldn’t be happier with my new Commuter case. Thanks OtterBox for making such fantastic products.

I haven't dropped it yet to test the protection aspect, but my grandson has had for for a long time and has dropped his phone several times with no damage resulting. When I upgraded my phone and needed to get one that would charge on my wireless charger in my new truck the person at the phone store told me OB didn't make one that would work. I thought that to be odd. And they didn't have an OB cover in white like I've always had so I made the change. It wasn't white either and that should have been my first step away moment lol. They gave me two options for covers that would work for me. I chose one that was supposed to be military material quality. That proved to be a joke, it cracked within two months. I work in a office and don't do anything to jeopardize my phone for it is my business. They would have backed it up with another one but I passed. I bought one directly off the OB site with the help of a CS person on what they had that would work for my needs. I's not white but I love it. I's the two tone blue and very easy to handle without the feeling of slipping out of my hand. I love it and OB will never buy anything else.

The case fits like a glove, and I am very happy to have the flap to protect the charging port. Without that flap, my phone will build up dust and I have to constantly clean that area. I will continue to support Otterbox as long as they keep coming out with these quality cases. I have never been disappointed and when I have had issues customer service has replaced the case with zero issue. There is a reason I always recommend Otterbox to people, and I am happy they are still around.

The last otter box I had came with a rubber back so it was easier to hold and didn’t slide off surfaces and your hand so easily. I hope it has great protection because I am not confident this phone will not drop. It almost slips out of my hand onto the ground 1/2 the time I take it out of my pocket.

Corona virus has a huge impact on shipping but is still good to know what the location is. Will never buy online agian. Only buy otterbox phone cases as they are the best but better off going to the shop and paying double the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Case The case provides good protection. Another family member also bought the Defender and it’s not much bigger at all but with more protection. My daughter had a Symmetry case one time and her phone broke when dropped but we have had good results with Commuter and Defender cases. Shipping is taking a pretty long time right now as they said because of the Corona19 ... it took about 10 days for us to get our cases... of course our phones came before then so we had to wait to use our phones. ??We purchased one case from another store and it came quickly so not sure why it took so long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case got better I had the Commuter case on my iPhone 8 and it provided great protection with my only complaint being that the outer plastic was a little slick on the left and right narrow edges. Well this "problem" seems to have been corrected on the new case for the iPhone 11. This new design exposes two small sections of the inner rubber case in the places where your hand and fingers grip the phone thus providing a better grip. Even the back of the outer plastic case seems to have a texture which makes it less slippery. All the required cut-outs , openings, and buttons are perfectly aligned and the case thickness it perfect to keep the screen off the surface when the phone is placed face down.

I am very disappointed with Otterbox & their poor customer service. I ordered it on Amazon Prime the free shipping. Otterbox charged me the shipment fee to return the case that was not the same as described on their Amazon add.

It fits very great and this latest design is easier to install. It will provide maximum protection and I am very happy I stayed with this series of case.

But, if you are a clumsy person like me (my screen protector crack within a month I got it), then this casing is definitely something u might wanna get. And yup, I love it :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the over 100 dollars I bought the commuter case and the alpha glass full screen protector. 5 days after I installed them both, my phone slipped off the bed on to the carpet and cracked the screen protector. I’ve tried contacting customer service and file a claim but I do t think the otter box claim system is working. The charging port protective flap on the bottom of the phone keeps pulling itself up like it’s not designed to fit very well. I would go with the next level of protection next time I buy a case and the screen protector has concerning issues with durability.

Bought iphone 11 defender, it is not the same protection, you have to buy a screen protector separatety. Pretty expensive for no screen protection. Will not go with otter next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otter Box is always a winner I had a Commuter case for my last phone, Samsung Galaxy J3 and it kept my phone safe for years. Upgraded to iPhone 11 and didn't look at any other cases, I fully trust my new Commuter case will protect my new phone for several years!
