The protector I bought doesn't work with the fingerprint reader so now I have to try another type. The phone also doesn't fit in the belt clip holder as tightly as it used to. In the older one I had, when you put the phone in, there was no give, it was snugly in the holder. Now, after you press the phone into the holder and it clicks, you can press on the phone and it moves in the holder and springs back. It hasn't fallen out; it just feels less secure.

Just bump something and the clip snaps into the open position, 1/2 of the time the phone does not snap into the holder and falls off the belt clip and into the snow.. The S9 case was better quality. Very disappointed in the quality from otterbox with the S21 belt clip.

I have used the Otterbox Defender series case on my last 2 cell phones and was totally happy with its performance, so I naturally bought it for my current phone. They have made the case trimmer, yet just as rugged as previous cases. My hat off to Otterbox. Great job!

Unfortunately when I received it I notice the design is different from that of my older phone and there is a hole through the charger plug that lines up where you stick in the pin to remove the Sim card. Why?!? This defeats the purpose and leaves room for additional dust/moisture.

It's sleek enough to fit comfortably in my small hands, and doesn't look boxy like the older Defenders. Wish they offered a wider array of colors. Overall very happy with the Defender, as it really does a great job of protecting our phones.

For the money, though, I wouldn't expect it to have started creaking when I use my power and volume buttons. I disassembled it and found that the upper frame bends with very little force applied. Reassembled the case to see if it was a fluke but unfortunately the issue persists.

Not only that it does not have the screen cover That they used to have on them so the screen is unprotected and has already been scratched. Scratched screen and a broken camera is all I have gotten so far out of this Otterbox.

Since taking a lot of photos I wanted the phone protected. I especially like the fact that the phone connect to the charger has a flap that covers the opening. This is the second Otter box phone case I’ve had and they have both been perfect!

When I got this one the issue I had was the lack of directions other than drawings. A new user would have problems. The rubber outer was very stiff and I had trouble removing it from the plastc inner case. Again, no written directions that you had to disassemble the case or how to do it. Not having a screen protector at this price is questionable.

My only gripe is how it locks into the holster. It barely locks in and slight touch on the release tab frees it. Already had a few instances where the phone was hanging out and close to falling before I realized it. Improve the holster latch and this will be a 5 star combo.

When I turned in my old phone that had been kept in an Otter case for the life of my phone, it was in “pristine” condition and I received a $500 trade in value. We are sold on Otter. After my husband forgot his phone on the roof of his car and it fell off onto the California highway, when he finally found it, it was still working! The case was scarred, but it protected the phone.

It seems this day the phone dislodged or fell out of my clip in the driveway. Who but my Great Pyrennes found it. Smelling like Dad or Alpha, they used it as a chew toy until I notice my phone was missing. After my wife called the phone several times, I realized it was not at the mailbox, not in my truck so I searched the yard. This is what I found.(see Photo). Truly the Defender case took a Licking but the phone came out unscathed. New warranty case on the way. All is great, and the phone is fine. The Defender Series definitely defended off my dogs. I did the online chat to discuss, but there was some miss-communication. Not Otterbox fault but the big opening for the cameras appears to leave them vulnerable. Again need an additional piece. Spending $50+ on a case and still have to buy additional pieces to protect the phone is disappointing. The case is sleek but has a square edge on the bottom side. Less comfortable than my previous case.

Having worked in emergency services, I typically wear a thick belt designed for a firearm holster or other emergency gear. The clip won't close on the belt and falls off easily.

So I would like to whine a little bit about that fact I'm sure the new 21s screen is hot tech and would benefit from touching your flesh. I don't want it to break.That's why we put our phones in these cases. So you should have a case with the screen protector for those that don't care about anything but the phone and then have one without who just loves the feel of the glass against their flesh.

The entire case is made of that slip resistant rubber feeling material...the ENTIRE CASE...not just a few spots like a lot of other cases. My last case might as well have been made of butter because that thing slipped out of my hands daily. This raises above the phone surface so if it falls face down on a flat surface, the phone should be OK. Easy to assemble, no camera or flashlight blockage. I don't use the clip on, just the other portion. Get this if you have butter fingers...haven't dropped this phone a single time since getting this case over a month ago. 5 stars!!! ?????

I've had OtterBox on my phones since the Samsung Galaxy S5 and it holds up to the hype in terms of taking drops and damage. The case will wear and tear and break overtime; especially the flap to that requires you to open and charge our phone. However, even so, they still hold up to wear and tear compared to other manufacturer covers I've had over the years...no matter how worn that cover ends up.
