Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy and protective as an auto mechanic, i needed a tough case to protect my phone in a harsh environment. this case provides that. though not the case fault, i did find it to catch on door frames and such and broke the clip several times. i ended up learning to repair the clip and soldier on. this is my second case since over a period of 3 years, the rubber cover became deformed and loose but i don't fault the design. now with my new case ill probably get a different phone before this case wears out.

I immediately ordered the defender. As soon as the replacement phone shows up it will be wearing Otter Box! Don't settle for less.

It was easy to put on and is easy to access the charging port. I wish I bought this before I had to replace my cracked screen.

In fact within 4 days of getting my new phone, and 5 days before I received my first Otter Box, I dropped it and cracked the back. I will forever be grateful to my good friend who recommended I purchase an Otter Box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best I just bought my second Defender case for My S7. I have worn it out! I am very hard on it as I wear it on my belt. I use the otter holster. I have ripped several off and broken the belt clip. Otter Replaced a couple of them. I stopped requesting replacements because it is not their fault. Somehow I dropped my phone behind my truck one day and backed over it with one tire. Still intact and working, there was a tire print on the front protective screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't believe this I've always used Otterbox Defender cases. They work great to protect your phone from all kinds of stuff. But, get this! I'm walking my dog listening to a podcast with my wireless earbuds, and I have to cross a busy street where I need to jog across. I didn't realize until my ear buds beeped that I was out of range of my phone. It had fallen out of my pocket on that busy street! I just knew it was toast. I see it in the road, face down, run to grab it, and it looks....fine. Maybe a car didn't run over it. But then I see dusty tire tread marks on the back and realize it did get run over! And the phone still worked!! Not a scratch on it and the only marks on the case were on the front edges of the interior plastic part of the case where the car had pushed it into the pavement. And you can barely even see those. Long story long.....this case is UNREAL! It survived a car running over it! Buy it. If you have a phone, buy it. Your phone will never be safe without it.

The outer surfaces have texture combined with a rubber substance makes this case "bobble" resistant. I don't drop it due to slipping out of grasp. It does make it more difficult to place in pockets, that makes it more secure from falling out. Living hinges at charge and ear bud interfaces are sturdy and will out last the phone. The outer jacket has significant cushion to absorb the occasional drop. Overall I am very pleased with the case and would not hesitate to use on future phones.

I also the built in screen protector. My bride has a defender on her S9+ and loves it to.. This should last the rest of the life of the phone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't settle for the knockoff! I had the original, Otter Box" Defender Case so when I broke it I thought I'd save a buck and bought the Chinese version and boy was I wrong. This case is built to last and best of all it's made in the USA. Super tough and the clip in the back is really well built so your phone stays in the position you put it. The other one spun around and you could tell it was not the same quality as the Otter Box case. I'm very happy with my choice!

The only negative is that dust gets in around the lower button and the top where the camera lens and ear microphone are located so it will have to be taken apart occasionally and the dust cleaned off the inside surface of the screen cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Product, Excellent Quailty I had a lifeproof case for years and keep having issues with little things failing here and there, they were covered under warranty, but after the last failure I decided to try an otter box and the functionality and quailty of the otter box is excellent. Solid design that does not impede using all functions of the phone. Super happy with my otter box purchase. I can use camera without blur, I can use ports with ease, and side buttons are great, while the case remains slim and easy to hold.

With this case, even though it's bulky, there hasn't been one scratch, crack or breakage. I've had another one of these for a few years now and the belt broke. I recently bought this for my friends phone. These are fabtastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox Defender for Galaxy S7 bought an Otterbox Defender for my Galaxy S7 - make that a NEW Galaxy S7. I do a lot of fishing particularly saltwater fishing. I took a tumble on the shore this past summer but didn't think the water had gotten into my phone. It did. One of my fishing buddies showed me his Otterbox so I thought I'd give one a try. I like it so far but it does make the phone a bit bulkier in my pocket.
