My previous cases were Defenders for the original iPhone SE (yes, this is my first new phone since 2016) and successfully protected it against all kinds of bumps, drops and even an accidental throw or two (where I was too slow to catch it when it was falling). I did have to replace the case once due to damage to the screen protector, but it kept my phone working through a great many accidents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely worth it The minute I walked out with my new iPhone 15 pro I drove straight to the store for this case. Super easy to put on, I like how they extended the lip on the back for camera protection. I had the same case for the iPhone 12mini and it seemed like the rear camera sat even with the case and always had me worried it wouldn’t protect it. This case feels great in the hand, the back is a bit slippery but the sides are rubber which grips in your hand. Not sure if they used a different MagSafe magnet this year but it works great, actually gotta use some force to remove your MagSafe accessories. I got the blue version which looks great especially paired with the blue iPhone. The only negative thing is you don’t get the plastic belt clip. I’m not a huge fan of the clip but was nice to have for the added protection if you needed it.

Within one day is using the pink case, it had soaked up other colors that it had touched throughout the day. Feels durable, but the color looks horrid now. Seriously disappointed in quality here.

I can see why there are reviews that say the plastic frame won’t stay on but that’s because it’s not installed properly. You have to push the rubber all around the plastic frame, takes a little effort (watch a video and it will make sense) but once you have it on, it stays put. You won’t regret this one, it’s worth the money for the protection.

My last phone I chose to go with a slimmer case, but since I just spent a lot of money on a phone, I wanted great protection. This defender case is about the same "bulkiness" as my slimmer case I had for my iPhone X. I love that I feel protected without feeling like I'm carrying a huge phone. I also love how it has glitter in it. Finally a protective case that is also cute!

I like how protective it is all around, including the action button, while still keeping the case as thin as possible which is easy to hold in the hand. The Orchid Advice color is very pretty. Even though my case is a bit dirty on some edged, the mauve color is still vibrant and pretty. For those who uses camera protectors, most of the singular camera protector plate you may see often will not fit with this case unfortunately. But the individual camera lens protectors do fit perfectly with the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wish this case had softer sides I love Otterbox defender series cases & have always used them for my phones- BUT I was disappointed by the texturing along the sides of the iPhone 15 pro dedender series XT case- which made gripping the case quite uncomfortable ; I even bought a glove to see if that would help, but it ended up being too bulky , so unfortunately, I’m not currently using that case even though it really distresses me not to have an OtterBox on my phone, I swapped it out for a silicone case with softer sides

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone case if you have toddlers My first thoughts when opening the package were that the phone case looks nice, and the pink color was more of a mauve than I expected. When I put on the case I had little to no trouble, it’s slightly tricky, but the instructional video does help. I found that even when fully put together it seems to slightly be off, the outer portion doesn’t want to fully cover the top, I’m uncertain if this is an actual issue or if it just looks wrong. After almost a month of use the case has only come apart once, I believe this was a combination of it not quite being on at the time and the force that my toddler used to throw it to the ground, the top came off and the case stayed on the phone. I’m quite satisfied with this case and I feel good knowing that if any issues pop up within the next 1-2 years I will be covered most likely by the warranty. Another thing I noticed once this case was on is that the tactile feel of the buttons is too uniform, there are two plastic bumps on each side just under the buttons that I often get confused by, the buttons also are a bit difficult to press, mainly the lock button, I’m not sure why this is the case. Overall I would recommend this case based on how well it has performed with drops and throws by toddlers, I would also recommend potentially getting tactile stickers for the buttons if that is a concern.

I like that there are raised edges around the screen and cameras so they won’t get scratched when the phone is set down. It fits the phone perfectly. Magsafe charging works great with this case on. It is comfortable to hold and the button feel through the case is crisp. This is a high quality case as I’ve come to expect from Otterbox. Bravo!

The case is thin, yet too bulky on the sides, even for a defender. I can barely hold it with one hand. OtterBox has let me down and I won’t be buying again.

When the order arrived neither holster was in the shipment. Also, both glass protectors were defective ( a layer of non-removable plastic had delaminated ). Coupon for free holster only worked for 1 of the 2 Defenders I purchased. Spent nearly 2 hours on hold. I was told the missing order would be ship immediately. Since I paid for FedEx 2 day I was surprised when it took another 10 days to arrive. Even more surprised when the delivery was still missing glass protectors and one holster. Another afternoon spent on hold. At this point I purchased OtterBox screen protectors from Amazon for half the price OtterBox sells them for. At this point I disputed the charge with Amex. Next day the missing screens arrived, no tracking was ever sent. OtterBox then lied to American Express and said the order was delivered complete weeks earlier. I have reached out to Otterbox asking for an RMA for the now unnecessary screen protectors and have not heard back, 10 days later. I refuse to spend another afternoon on the phone with them. The Defender is a great product, but you will save time, money and headaches if you purchase from Amazon instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still the best case for iPhones To be completely honest, I did NOT want to like the case. I had purchased another case from a competing company that was thinner, transparent, high quality, and showed off the phone itself a bit better than the OtterBox. But after having used OtterBoxes on all my iPhones since their inception, I felt I had to give it a fair shake. After using both cases for a while, I found myself gravitating back to the OtterBox. The Defender XT Case fits the iPhone 15 Pro perfectly. I mean PERFECTLY. All the controls line right up to the case's buttons, my screen protector isn't in conflict, speaker/mic access is right where it needs to be, the MagSafe ring is perfectly centered around the Apple logo (something the other case didn't do), and my MagSafe accessories don't conflict with the camera bezel. Simply perfect. What I didn't expect when comparing it to the slimmer case was how the phone behaved when I picked it up. Every time I picked up my phone with the other case, my hand would cause spurious input on the screen. Because the Otterbox has a larger cushion around the edges, my hand is further from the screen when picking it up and holding it, and the accidental spurious input is no more. The phone case is larger than most cases, but it's not as large as previous Defender series I've owned. Thanks to the MagSafe access, it's actually thinner on the back which makes my MagSafe charger happier and some of the Qi chargers I've used happier as well. The only fault I can find with the unit is the price tag. Yeah, it's expensive, and definitely annoying that the belt clip is SOLD SEPARATELY now. Sheesh. But you get what you pay for. Would I buy it again? Yeah. I have to say I definitely would.

The biggest flaw for me is, as someone who is constantly up and down, crouching, etc., while having my phone in my pocket, I found this case did not stay on the corners of the phone well. Maybe it’s the beveled design of the iPhone 15 pro, but it was not something I liked, having to pop it back into the case when pulling it from my pocket. Additionally, and this isn’t really a flaw but, I was not a fan of the rubber-texturized sides of it, as it made it harder to remove from my pocket vs. a case with a smooth surface. Again, not a flaw, and it’s stated clearly on the website that it has that. Lastly, after just one day with the case, I notice the camouflage finish on the back was already starting to chip off, under normal use, mostly having it in my pocket.

I ordered the OtterBox case as soon as the phone was ordered because I don’t even like to leave the store without one.This last weekend I knocked my phone into the bathtub, full of water. I snatched it out as quick as I could and luckily the OtterBox power section cover was in place and the phone was A-OK. I’m sure I’ve already dropped it at least once. This ~$50 case protects a $1,300 investment, worth every penny. I regularly go backpacking, volunteer for Search and Rescue on winter missions in the mountains, generally lead an active (and sometimes accident prone) life and I completely rely on my OtterBox case to keep my phone in one piece.

Ive contacted customer service and they have told me they have not yet received my package, and provided no other information. I’m worried I’ll never get my money back for my return. Horrible experience, the 2 cases i returned cost me over $100 which i have yet to be refunded

It seems like the holder is a little too big to hold the phone firmly in it. I had to add felt to the bottom corners on the holder so my phone would lock in securely. Not sure if it’s a case issue or holder issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall case, lens protection Ever since I got my first Otterbox case back in 2014 I have sworn by this brand every time it comes up in conversation. It may be bulky but in my opinion it is the most protective case I know of. For my new 15 pro I decided to switch it up and get a clear case sense I love the Blue titanium! The case feels just like I thought it would, but my only complaint is that I can not seem to find a lens protector that will fit as my previous one I had on it temporarily is too big. I don't want my lenses to get all fingerprints on them and I hope that Otterbox one day could come out with a product to protect them as the case makes it seem like it is out in the open. Besides that, I definitely would recommend this case to anyone looking for protection as Otterbox is the masterclass at protective cases!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have always used Otterbox defender cases on every iPhone that I've ever owned. Never had any problems until this one. To ensure my phone is protected I also always buy a screen and camera protector. I installed my protectors first and went to enclose my iPhone in my new otterbox. The plastic piece that snaps outside near the camera will not close. Apparently this case will not work with a camera protector.

I’ve been using the defender for at least 10 years & while I do like this one I’m a little nervous bc it’s not the normal defender I’ve had in the past, hopefully it offered the same protection. I’m also dissapponted in the color choices, I got the clear/pink & it’s a very dull pink. It would be great to see a full pink defender for once, it’s been years. It’s the same colors year after year.

It’s now 3 weeks since I ordered the product and my “delivery date” just moves 1 day to the right each day.

It fell out of my pocket when I was midway up the route, which was about 50 feet. I thought for sure it would be toast, but when I recovered it the screen didn’t even have a scratch. Probably got really lucky with the way it bounced down the mountain, but still. That’s one incredible case.

When upgrading to a new phone or tablet, Otterbox is always the first stop to be sure the new device is protected and secure. Never been disappointed. The Defender Pro XT for the iPhone 15 pro is no exception. Feels great in the hand and not quite as bulky as the other Defender series. Contrary to some reviews, I had no problem with the installation - not difficult at all. The fit is snug and secure with no gaps and the smooth back is a definite plus also. Would recommend without hesitation.
