It feels like they have trimmed as much bulk as they possibly can while still keeping the defender very protective. My two biggest gripes are the clip just adds to much bulk. I’m sure a corner catching style would work without all the backplate. I’d also like them to ditch the usb c port cover. Make it a solid opening just like the ones for the speaker. It’s a pain and will eventually wear out having to open and close the rubber flap for wired charging and other connections. The MagSafe works great and I really like the color of the case. This is a great case for iPhone owners who suffer from a lot of dropped phones or work in areas that could damage the phone. This case will fit in your pocket but it’s gonna be snug as it’s a lot bulkier than other iPhone cases. I prefer the OtterBox commuter series but have had issues with the case losing form after a year or so use. If they could remedy that issue I would gladly buy another commuter series. I bought this one to use at work.

Since my first purchase when I was young and wasn't very careful with my iPhone, the OtterBox protected my phone from at least 15 drops, some from working on a ladder and it fell out of my pocket a couple different times and never once did any damage happen to the iPhone. I have been a steady regular customer ever since. I have actually ordered my OtterBox BEFORE I purchased my new iPhone the last 2 times. I have that much confidence in OtterBox products and service.

My biggest complaint is that I cannot charge it in my car's magSafe charger because there is a lip around the camera lens area that doesn't allow the phone to lay flat in order to make the magnetic connection required for charging.

Less of a "click"and it seems to come out easier. I'm also disappointed that I had to send in for the holster and pay for shipping and handling, when it should have been included in the package. A very poor decision on the part of Otter. Having said all that, let me amplify that I think the product is top notch and will adequately protect the phone as it always has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product, but not without flaws... While the case seems plenty robust, I have a few small complaints that ultimately made me decide on a return. First, the frame that holds the phone into the backside of the case is not compatible with all screen protectors. I applied my screen protector first and had to re-position it after I put the Defender XT on and it immediately started pulling up the screen protector at the corners. Secondly, and this is more of personal preference than a flaw, but the case is too wide. The thick rubber (albeit protective) sides add to the width of an already large phone, and since they're rubber they also hang in fabric pockets. These complaints aside, the case seems very robust and highly protective. It just wasn't for me.

I love the look and feel of this case - a stiff yet also pliable protection around the entire back and sides of my new phone. However, I have tried two different screen protectors - one purchased from otterbox with this case and another from another favorite company. Bit of which I have always been satisfied. The design of this case which wraps around the side of the phone up over the edges does not allow me to use a screen protector as it is impossible to tuck it up over the phone in such a way that it does not lift up the screen protector. This has been a huge disappointment and I have contacted both companies to ask for guidance but it appears there is no solution.

I’ve droped my phones once or twice along the way, never any damage at all. Well worth the added bulk in my opinion. Customer service is excellent, something hard to find these days. Glad you intergrated the rubber bumper into the design instead of an add on piece. The previous rubber bumpers would stretch with heat and time. Would recommend to anyone who wants perfect protection and doesnt mind the slight increase in bulk. By the way, I alway also add a screen protector. Glass ones, but not that picky on the brand.

Come to find out that it was returned to the company 3 days prior to me finding this out. So the company had both my money and my case without any form of contact. What does not work, the corner of the case will not stay in place. This will likely lead to permanent phone damage if dropped. The main purpose of this case is maximum protection, and I cannot make the case stay in place. For the price, the case is just not worth it. I would consider other options or companies.

The phone doesn’t click in anymore and just falls out unless you align it screen out and upside down. My phone has fallen out at least ten times but the case did keep it from breaking. It all about how far the volume buttons stick out as to why it doesn’t fit.

I have witnessed, many times as OtterBox has protected my phone from certain destruction from being dropped, or crushed. I had this exact same case in just a regular non clear color option for the previous phone the 12 pro and likely the first version of it and I can tell it improved with the phone generations with this case having a very nice grip to it, that also makes me feel like I don’t need the MagSafe pop socket I like to use as much, the nice clear back I wanted when getting a new case for my new phone this time around, and at least around launch one of the only external case makers that actually made a action button button rather than leaving it open like you would for the old mute switch! I am very happy with this case purchase it is a very good case for the 15 Pro Max!

The Amplify screen protector cracked in the positioner box while I was applying it right after I took my new iPhone out of the box. The clear case isn’t 3- months old and it already has a jagged scratch all the away across it, side-to-side, looks horrible on a phone that cost as much as an iPhone 15 pro max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not happy with car or OtterBox customer service Let me start by saying the quality of the case seems ok, that’s where it ends though, I ordered this emerald green version and while the case is ok the color is not good because it shows dirt so bad, 2 weeks in and the case is so dirty I can’t even clean it all off, also I ordered a screen protector that never fully adhered to the screen and is now already peeling off, it just stinks cause I spent almost $100 and I’m going to have to replace both, so I reach out to customer service and they say ok we will refund you and you can just reorder. Like how does that help me? I have to send the case and screen protector back and you might refund me in 15 days? What do I do about my phones protection till then? So I have to spend more money in the hopes you guys might refund me? That’s ridiculous. I’ll take the blame in maybe I ordered the wrong color but I’ve bought multiple otter boxes over the years and have never complained once, the last 1 I ordered ended up falling apart after about a year and I never even used the warranty I just bought another one! Anyway I’m done ranting and I’m just upset, $100 down the drain!!

The Apple Case also started showing significant wear at six months - Apple’s guarantee is not as good as Otterbox either. Works well with magnetic charging too. I wish I had never wasted my money on an Apple case as I have used Otterboxes on all my previous iPhones.

The quality reminds me of a styrofoam box. I decided to return it a month ago and have yet to receive my refund. I've called multiple times and have been lied to again and again about when my refund would be processed. Not only is this case expensive, you'll lose money on it as well! This case is a hit or miss, and if it misses for you, don't expect your refund any time soon!

Many of the other brands I looked at had smooth edges causing it to fall from my hand if I didn’t hold it tight. This solves the problem if you have arthritis in you hands. Otterbox has been my phone case forever, I had an iPhone 4s with a defender case and left it on the roof of my car and it fell off going down the interstate, I turned around thinking for sure my phone was destroyed but when I found it the case was destroyed but my phone did not have a scratch on it and worked perfectly. Been my case of choice since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyers beware Bought the Defender Series XT Clear for MagSafe (Black / Clear) off Amazon because I used my Amex Points. Very disappointed. The protector doesn't hold and I think mainly because the case created bubbles in the side, total waste of $40 (25000 points) the MagSafe doesn't charge and isn't very magnetic. I've used several chargers and the charge doesn't take and the case constantly slides off both MagSafe chargers I used, $70 down the drain. All together I sent over 75,000 Amex points on both these purchases. Only positive note about my order was it was delivered over night by Amazon and in excellent packaging.

I'm well pleased. Every time I change phones, I get a new Otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eh, it's ok. It's difficult to rate a case when it's new. Time will tell. The charging cover doesn't "latch" it is easily opened and I have my doubts that it will keep much moisture out in the even it's exposed to water of any kind. Also the rubber outter shell isn't glued on and I have a suspicion that it will become more loose as time goes on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discolored within the first week of use I like the case itself, but it began to discolor immediately and absorbs clothing dyes and basically any kind of transferrable substance. The pretty pink color lasted two days before it turned blue from my jeans. I tried cleaning it and there’s nothing that will bring the color back. I would purchase a darker color in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as it once was Rubber case comes apart from plastic when removing phone from my front pocket as I’ve done with every iPhone I’ve had. All of them have had OtterBox Defender cases. It happens to the side of the charge port when extracting it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The front retainer keeps detaching from the base I love the Defender Pro series - I've used for both Galaxy and iPhones; however, when I got the iPhone 15 Pro Max, I wanted to start using MagSafe, so I got the Defender XT case. The front retainer keeps detaching from the back shell in pocket and needless to say is frustrating. In looking at the reviews, I see I am not the only one experiencing this. I'd suggest re-engineering the Defender Pro to work with MagSafe, but I'm guessing you folks have already or are currently looking into it. I'll be in touch to get a warranty ticket going. I'm still a fan, just not of this case model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case but no belt clip Great case but it was not shipped with the belt clip like in the past. They send you a code for a free one but you have to pay shipping. This is crazy why not sell it with it included? I ended up buying a nice belt case from Amazon cheaper than paying for shipping for the clip. You might want to have a talk with your marketing Genius, who came up with his idea.

I buy these Otterbox cases year after year, because they're tough, and protect my latest "flimsiest iPhone ever"; --and the most expensive iPhone ever. The Otterbox case is reliably tough and protective, and keeps my iPhone from harm, even with me keeping it in my back pocket most of the time, and sitting rather heavily upon it. I don't worry (um, much) when I drop it every so often (and sometimes on hard surfaces), and when there is whatever other foolery I get into with my always-with-me device. If I sat on a naked iPhone, just once, I suspect it'd bend and break. As it is, over my years with Otterbox, and always keeping a screen protector on, even as Apple makes the phones flimsier and flimsier, I haven't bent or smashed one yet.

In every case, I have had to make multiple replacement under "Warranty" (you have to pay!) because the rubber material in the outer case loses its elasticity and begins to fall off. My most recent purchase of an iPhone 15 in March has already begun to loosen and fail. Otter Boxes are faulty, poorly made and not redesigned to last. I would not buy another in spite of my comfort using. Poor quality at a very high price!uality
