Not happy with product.returned. Been a happy customer of otterbox for many years, I had this case for the iPhone 12 and it was great quality. They are expensive but they are worth it in my opinion. This one however it’s like otterbox just decided to be cheaper on the materials. The pop socket portion broke off within the first day. Very disappointed

I haven’t even had the case a month and the pop socket (or whatever you want to call the grip in the back) is ripping off already. I’ve been avoiding using it so that it doesn’t pop all the way off. Not worth buying.

I've been a huge fan of you guys for years and always buy the built in pop socket iphone case and I always recommend others to buy it too.
BUT what is up with this design. I got my iphone 15 Pro pre ordered and still havent used it because this case I bought from you guys is so crappy. Why did you guys up the price and make the quality so bad. The past designs are amazing, i use it as a stand all the time, this looks like i bought this off Shein and looks like the strap is going to break. Im going from an iphone 11 to the 15 and ive been so dissapointed with getting a new phone and I cant even use it. I want my money back. This is the last time i'm ordering from you guys.
Otterbox, all you had to do was make the same design but fit the new iphone.

Not like pop socket case
The pullout holder seems strong enough to keep a grip on your phone, but lacks sturdiness to actually prop it up on its side (i.e. watching videos or nightstand mode)
The plastic bands that fix the holder to the phone are easy to deform and difficult to restore to their original shape which results in difficult to retract the holder back in to the case.
The low profile is compatible with wireless charging and MagSafe accessories, and the case seems sturdy enough.
If you’re used to the pop socket version of this case then save yourself the disappointment as this won’t meet your expectations.

Dumbest design ever. It was flimsy and awkward and wouldn’t stay popped out. Go back to the integrated Pop Socket. Not everyone wants or uses the MagSafe charging.

Pop socket on this version is not reliable. Only had it for about a week with normal use and the pop socket broke. It has two flimsy plastic pieces holding it together. Unfortunate because it was my go to case for the last phone.

Love the idea but dislike the functionality
The case itself is fine, nothing special. I really liked the idea of OtterGrip, but it just doesn’t function well. It gets stretched out quickly and doesn’t stay all the way down.

Flimsy and Poor Quality
While I liked this product at first, the plastic on the otter grip is starting to break. At this rate, it will totally break off in the next week. I have used it since Christmas 2023 and it is now Jan. 17th. It is flimsy quality and a very expensive case. I do not recommend as the otter grip will break off shortly.

Otterbox just compromised it's reputation
The grip part of this case broke off after just a few days sending my phone flying off a ski lift while I was holding it. Why would Otterbox get rid of the phenomenal and sturdy popsocket design they've had for the last few years? I'm so disappointed. Please just bring back that case - I was a repeat purchaser every year and now I'm questioning the quality of this brand. Looks like dozens of other people are having the same issue.

This is the worst idea Otterbox has ever come up with. The Ottergrip is terrible. Flimsy, doesn't go up or down well, uncomfortable, feels like it is going to break. Bring back the pop socket on the back. This new design is a joke. Do not waste your money on this. Get a normal otterbox case and buy a pop socket.

Great Case, but Not Impressed with Pop Out
I was really excited about this case because it came with its own built in “pop socket”. I love the design I got & the durability but the pop out handle is just kind of awkward. Like i’m not sure if I should be using it like a loopy or a pop socket as far as finger placement. Overall really happy with the case. And it lays flat in my tesla charger so I don’t have to remove the case!

MagSafe part does not work
The "MagSafe" part works terrible. It does not stay charging for more than 2-3 seconds before it stops charging for 2-3 ore seconds and then starts again. Not consistent and annoying to listen to the phone chime on and off the charger.

Good quality product - some suggestions tho
I have solely purchased otter box products for years now - and this holds to the same quality I have always loved from them! I love how this protects my phone. This new ‘holder’ on the back is interesting - it works well and I love that it lays flat. Only suggestion I have is for it to be 1/2” lower - it would accommodate reaching some screen area while holding with one hand a little better - and would keep fingers easily out of the way of the camera (I have seen my fingers in too many pics while I’m getting used to this - I feel it’s too close to the camera). Overall great product though and I would purchase again :)

I used the case less than two months. The pop handle tore and one side broke off. I rarely used the pop stand because it would not hold my phone up. Extremely disappointing!

Great case but I'm returning to Defender Series
I'm a devoted Otterbox phone case user. I bought the OtterGrip model this time thinking that it would be made of a material that wasn't slippery. Unfortunately, that's not true. The "grip" component is just the pop out handle on the back, which works GREAT, but I need the actual material of the entire case to be grippy to hold onto because my hands are so dry. Otterbox customer service is great and is facilitating a return for me so I can go back to my long time favourite Defender series cases.

Great Case With One Flaw
I love this case, I’ve been using otterbox for a long time. My biggest and only complaint is the otter grip. I was hoping it would support my phone while on its side like a pop socket can, to make it easier to watch something horizontal. Using it for an actual grip isn’t terrible, but if I knew it was kind of flimsy I would’ve just ordered a normal Symmetry case and gotten a pop socket. I do however love the yellow color and the warranty

Great idea, poor execution
The case is nice but the ottergrip is so so terrible. I am trying so hard to get used to it & I just can’t. Love how slim it is but the grip is just so bad. I miss my pop socket . Does not replace my old otterbox with the pop socket.

This case is so uncomfortable to hold. Does not pop out easy at all. There was no reason to change the old pop socket cases! If I buy a pop socket case I do so knowing it won’t go on the mag safe chargers which I do not care about. Bring back the popsocket cases!!!

BRING BACK THE POP SOCKETS!!!
I have always used Otterbox cases for my Iphones. For my last few Iphones I have used the Symmetry case with the pop socket built in. I have to say this new OtterGrip is so far behind pop sockets its a night and day difference. The pop socket is by far more comfortable to hold than this new OtterGrip. The only good thing is you can now use mag safe attachments but I would much rather have the pop socket back than be MagSafe compatible. Gave 3 stars because its still a well built case but the Grip feels like an after thought.

Cheaply made and still expensive
Got this one when I upgraded because I LOVED my Otterbox case with the embedded Pop Socket on my last phone. Sadly, it doesn't measure up at all. The pop out is bent out of shape after 1 month of use. It is hard to get the pop out in and out and the case is wildly expensive for how cheap the pop out is made. While I like how consistently tough the Otterbox cases are, this feature, which I believe was made poorly in order to allow for magsafe charging, is disappointing. Go with another style. This one isn't worth it.

Not what I was hoping for...
I was a little disappointed in this product to be completely honest. The colour was not as nice as it appeared online. My biggest frustration was that the material is pretty slippery. when you are using the grip it seems okay, but I am not using it all the time. Also, I have a magnetic mount in my vehicle and even though the magnet is very strong, the case slides all over and falls off. I was really hoping this case would work for me. I love having the grip, and was looking forward to having that with out the bulk of a traditional pop socket.

Don’t buy
I’ve had the symmetry case on every iPhone since iPhone 6 and it’s been great. I always just added a pop scoket. A few years ago Otterbox came out with a case that had the pop socket built it. It was fantastic. Absolutely loved it. This year they decided to do their own “pop socket” and it’s awful. I immediately returned it. Definitely worse quality and flimsier.

Product good...buying experience needs improvement
While this item itself is pretty good (but the pop-up grip is not as comfortable as a PopSocket), the negative buying experience impacted the overall score. I will say, however, that in the end, OtterBox did make it right, and I am thankful for that.

OtterGrip and customer service SUCK
It broke within the first week and dealing with customer service was a nightmare. Ive talked to six different people who were all super pleasant and understanding and the phone, but no follow through after that. And it literally takes them a MINIMUM of three days to respond to a basic email. It’s ridiculous. Finally, after over a month since I submitted my warranty claim, I supposedly have a replacement on the way now. I asked for the replacement without the awful otter grip thing bc it’s garbage, and they agreed since it was cheaper. However, the shipment notification indicates they are just sending me the same thing. I don’t even care anymore. I’ve already gotten a replacement cover for less than half the price that is literally just as good. I will never buy anything from OtterBox again.

Worst Purchase I have ever made
wow ordered this case a month ago and two weeks ago I got my new phone... already broken. The straps for the grip snapped off while holding my phone. Not worth the money and absolutely absurd I cannot return it.

New grip design is thumbs down
The case is smooth and beautiful, but the new design for the grip is really awful. I’m sad I didn’t look at the reviews first. Mine hasn’t broken yet but my main use for the pop socket was to prop it up and that isn’t an option anymore. Looking for a new case.

Good case but grip sucks
Junk. Thought this would be similar to the previous Pop Socket case but this is just junk. Flimsy, loose, and doesn't go up/down smoothly at all. Rubber band popped loose from the black grip in 4 days. Will be returning.

Pop Socket design is Flawed
Seems I am not the only one who has had a problem with the pop socket on the back. Two weeks and it has already broke. Terrible design and poor craftmanship on such a cool and smooth case. Very uncomfortable and awkward to push pop socket back down. Was this even product tested? Highly doubt it. Now I'm on hold because this warranty cant be done via self service.

Cute in color (purchased the blue one) but in 2weeks the outer grip breaks .. you spend too much money just for the purpose of the case to break … I miss the pocket sockets they used to have cause this one’s a real flop … holding it is kinda awkward and it doesn’t slide back in its original socket it’s just disappointing.

The pop out grip is very underwhelming. I thought it would function more as a pop socket does. It makes it easy to hold onto the phone, but is inconvenient to pop out, and cannot be used as a kickstand.

So disappointed in the new design
As other reviews state, the grip is absolutely terrible in comparison to the previous socket cases. Not only can it be difficult to hold onto (nor is it comfortable for the fingers), but there is zero chance it works as a “stand”, and the retractable strap feels like it will certainly break at some point. When I first received the case I wanted to return it because I knew I wouldn’t like it, but I forced myself to try it out and sadly I’m guessing my return window has passed. I’ll likely be forced to purchase another MagSafe case for the same price and then a separate pop socket which will cost even more. Sigh. OtterBox I beg of you: please bring back the old design!

If you like to use pop sockets this is not the solution for you. The grip that pops out feels very cheap and is only held on by 2 flimsy pieces of plastic that are not comfortable to grip. Also, the pop out grip doesn’t not allow for you to stand the phone up for viewing.

I have been an otterbox customer for many years, and have always been pleased, but this version is lacking. Not a fan of the new socket mechanism, it feels cheap and using it as a stand is impossible. The entire reason to offer this particular product is the functionality of the socket, and it’s just not up to par compared to previous offerings.

The case is great like all other otterbox covers. Hard shell the only thing I dislike is the back socket. It’s the only part that feels poorly made. Its not comfortable and doesn't feel safe to use I feel like it might rip apart and drop my phone. Wish it would go back to the original round socket without the cheap plastic things coming out on the sides. It wont stay open. Flimsy back socket.

Wrong choice to get rid of the actual Popsocket
Got this case in September when we got our Iphone 15’s. Great case but horrible idea to get rid of the actual Popsocket that lasted longer than whatever you want to call this. I really wanted this case to be it because I always buy Otterboxes for my phone since they hold up and I don’t have to be constantly buying a new one. This case was expensive and not worth the price. Now I don’t know what to do. Can you guys collaborate with Popsocket again and change the price for the sake of potential buyers?

Not like the old kind
I’ve been buying the otter box case with the pop socket for years now. The last 3 phones I’ve owned have had this case. Since they changed the pop socket design on this new case, I have been very disappointed. The pop socket is hard to get out and impossible get back in! I have to fight with it to get it to go back in. I ended up just buying a new case and separate pop socket since this one has been so frustrating. Definitely not worth the money.

The pop socket broke after a couple of months. Was unable to submit a warranty claim online, because I kept getting the error message. After chatting with a bot for 10 minutes during regular work hours it told me that there’s no one available to help. Frustrating experience and disappointing product.
