I got my new case about a month ago and it is a good protective case. 2 things that would prevent me from buying another one is the case cover is difficult to open. Due to my job I need short fingernails so I struggle opening the case. The other is, with my 12 I can charge by just laying on the charger. With this case I need to move the -hone around to find a very specific spot for it to charge. Before having this case I could just drop on the charger and it starting charging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look, fit, and protection Ignore all comments about button issues. The buttons work fine on my iPhone 12 Pro Max in the case. Leather is great look and feel. Easy to wipe away marks with leather care solution. The magnet works well on front cover and is a one-handed operation to open. I DO miss the flap on the last version, but removing it gives a cleaner look to this case. Trading looks for utility a bit. Minor. Case holds a couple cards nicely and still closes. More than that and the front cover is too bulky for a clean secure closure. Can be a bit of a struggle to get cards out of the top slot. Lower slot has a thumb hole to help get my ID out of the case quickly. Magnetic closure is TIGHT when case opened. So releasing cover from back of case requires a little umph. But not an issue to me personally. Some comments mentioned this and I agree. So, typical great fit, quality, and protection I expect from Otterbox. Would buy again (I actually DID.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case Replaced my last case after two months. Was not up to OtterBox standards. Read the Strada reviews and was concerned but not now. All the buttons work perfectly, no issues. The case fit is exact and I cannot find any faults with this case. Thanks OtterBox

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case This is a great case meeting my expectations, it fits perfectly. I would have given five stars if the latch had the same little tab that my previous case had. The lack of this tab makes it harder to open, especially with gloves on. You do get used to it though. Other reviewers noted that the volume and power buttons were too stiff. I haven’t found that. I did work them a bit before installing the case to ensure they were flexible, this seemed to work. Overall a great case, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

My previous XMax case was raised well above the camera lenses. Given the name and price, I expect the best and ultimate protection. I’m already looking for new case options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems with the Magnet The case of course, is very nice, but this time the design with the magnets are just too strong. When you put the cover to the back it takes a hard pull to close the cover again. No tab for opening or closing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a great case but you have to be careful It’s a great case but you have to be carefulI, I put my drivers license and one credit card in the wallet and they ended up scratching my screen in about four days.luckily I purchased a screen protector at the same time so no great loss overall a fantastic case

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish they kept up the same performance as older mo I’ve used the Otterbox Strada cases for the past several years, on each new iPhone upgrade, and have been very happy with them. I’ve had both the black and the brown and prefer the brown as it ages like leather and the black is more of a plastic or faux leather feel and look. The older cases had a nice flap that was easy to grab and open the case whereas the new one has no flap and it sits flush on the screen area, making it harder to open. The magnet is stronger on this version, which also keeps the flap held down stronger. That is not as much of a dislike as the button presses are. What I mean is that all older models were much easier to change the volume up/ down, but this new model is extremely hard...more so volume up than down, but they are still both rigid. I tried a friend’s case and it was the same. I tried one in a big box store (since I ordered mine directly from Otterbox and it too was the same. I’m not pleased at all having to give the “Hulk squeeze” to change the volume. It’s not the phone since without the case there are no issues. The buttons on the case just seem to be a very rigid material and not easy to move. It’s unfortunate, but I’m changing cases this year and just wasted a lot of money buying this case directly from Otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Rugged case, to its detriment The full-plastic housing for the phone provides great protection, and it is an attractive case. That being said, it is VERY difficult to open without the tab previous cases had. But perhaps the biggest issue I have is that the plastic is so rigid that it is VERY difficult to press the side buttons on the phone,sometimes I have to hold the phone sideways with two hands and then it is difficult to precisely adjust the volume, just pressing hard and hoping for the best. This case interferes with functionality of the phone, which makes it unusable for me, which is a shame because I have used the Strada folio-style cases dating back to the iPhone 6 and this is the first time I feel I need to find a different product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor protection for camera lenses Just received my order delivery was quick! I had the iPhone XR version of this case and I loved it. This one not so much. It doesn't have the tab for opening the case like the XR version had so opening the case isn't as easy as before. What I really don't like it that the thinness of the case provides virtually NO protection for the lenses should you put the phone how on it's back. The XR version had much more clearance to protect the camera lens. I'll be looking at alternatives today.

I have always been an OtterBox fan, but this particular model I greatly dislike. I tried getting in touch with autobox for a return policy, but it was almost an impossible task where I gave up. All I wanted to do is change the product to something else. At this point I do not recommend this product. It is a good solid OtterBox product, but for this particular model of the iPhone they missed the mark.

Even better it’s magnetic! Since I need all over protection For device my working environment is rough! This case takes fall bumps scratches and the perk of resisting some water damage is great! So if you like all around protection and don’t mind some things sticking to it this it’s great!!!! Also left it on the arms of a cherry picker and was still there when I came back down by good strong magnet! Love it worth the buy will buy again when this one wears out! Thanks ottexbox!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay, except for volume control buttons The Starsa series has always been my go to case for my cells. Otterbox unfortunately seems to have rushed this design to market. How could the design team even approve of the volume button on this case. They are practically useless, not tactile like the power bottom. You need to apply an uncomfortable force to have them barely work. I always praised Otterbox to everyone, but this volume control design fiasco needs someone held to account. It has completely jaded my image of Otterbox as the best of the best. I never thought I would ever look elsewhere for a case. So disappointing.

I did make the mistake one time sliding the case in my pocket with another item and it scratched the leather. I got the brown case but I believe the black would hide these imperfections better. Another thing I have noticed is my screen doesn’t turn off when I close the lid. Other folio cases I’ve owned have had this feature, even the cheap Amazon ones.

Yes, it is pricey but the old adage "You Get What You Pay For" really applies here. It is quality leather, it provides excellent protection, and I can carry identification with me when I go for a long walk or a bike ride. I highly recommend this product.
