Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coming upon 3 yrs... I work support calls and have had my headset for 3 yrs. Stil works well. Sometimes the cushion comes off if it falls off my desks but all components have held up. I am in the market for something like it for mobile use. Sticks in my hair if I pull it off quickly, so quick release would be a +.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's ok I'm really not happy with my headset since the connection from the phone to the device is so short, and that I am connect to the phone. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong headset, my last one was wireless and this on has a cord that doesn't allow me to live my work space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Headset I had a Plantronics Headseat years ago for my home office. Now, i am in an office where i have to multi-task on the phone - reviewing plans, bids, taking notes, etc., all while on the phone. I purchased the S-12 and it has more than met my expectations. Easy to set up & use, simple controls, comfortable to wear, & flawless sound. If i had to nit-pick, I would say that a button to pick up/hangup the phone would be nice - currently you have to pick up the handset to get a dial tone. Also, the cord could be a little longer.... but these are very minor. My co-workers are jealous - great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent amplification I like the fact that the amplification was powerful enough and I could adjust both settings; the volume for callers and my voice level as well. The over-the-head headset gets a little uncomfortable after awhile. I switched to just the earpiece and was fine all day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight this is the second Plantronics system I have purchased, the last one lasted 9 years, the headset button on the controller got stuck so had to replace the entire unit with this new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD SOUND bought this for work. nice set up with carrier for set when not in use. one thing I miss is bing able to disconect when I need to walk around the office. I normally leave my headset on, disconnect and when I come back just plug right in. cant do that with this set. it will wear on the plug constantly disconnecting from unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product I've used this product (S12) for three years and its great. Very easy to use. The only thing modification I'd recommend would be the length of the headset cord. I like to walk around my office when on a call, so I would make it longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instant tangle - not worth the convenience Are there other ladies with long hair going insane that the plastic head piece gets tangled in your hair *every* time you take the head piece off? I like the convenience of hands-free and the sound is great, but the fact that I have to untangle it after every single phone call makes me not use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My boss loves it My boss had an older version of this that died after about 15 years. It was obviously a good value to have lasted that long! I ordered him this one to replace it and he loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best product for in the office I've used this basic model in the office for over 10 years; no one beats Plantronics. I've respectfully tried several brands over the years but eventually I request Plantronics and others have agreed. I highly recommend it if you tend to be on the phone for any length of time. It's very easy for another coworker to use the phone by switching from headset to handset. Sound quality is superior, comfort is unbeatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple set up and use We've been using this model for many years, never any problems!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Headset I used this headset for years in project management and consulting, where I spent most of my days on the phone, but needed to easily adjust volume and mute. This set was terrific. I don't love over the head designs (I prefer behind the head), but this support was light and thin and never caused me issues like some others. The indicator lights also stopped more than one person over time from interrupting while I was on a call (and allowed me to know who was actually on a call, and who was just trying to keep people away!). I would use this headset in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have had headset over 10 years and still works Great headset for when I multi-task. Has held up great. Earpiece is worn a bit, but still in good condition. It's lasted through three long-term jobs. Only drawback is the cord. Although it's quite long, it's still hard to roam the room with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound quality! I bought this recently and I really like it. The headset is light weight and super easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great for a while the over-the-ear headset breaks within a year and you cannot purchase a replacement piece. the entire headset portion from where it connects the box has to be replaced. it's a design/materials flaw in the plastic piece that goes over the ear as it breaks at the point where the plastic piece goes into the rubber hole on the unit. i've gone through two of them in the past year and a half with normal busy front-office use. it should include a quick-release adaptor on the cord between the box and the headset; this would eliminate the need to remove the headset every time you need to leave your desk and probably make the broken piece last longer. other than that, the functionality is what i need in my office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not durable for the long term I am having a problem maintaining a connection with the headset. I was looking to replace the head set since the wiring in the cord seem to be the problem, but cannot see how to purchase a replacement without having to buy an entire new system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has been working great 2 years so far, heavy use I've been using the S12 heavily for around 2 years in the office with no issues. The sound quality is great, the headset is comfortable with a cushie flexible earmuff on one side and a flexible comfortable piece on the other side. I'm not a fan of the Plantronics gaming headsets, but I highly recommend the S12, two thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated with poor quality! I have had to go through at least 5-6 of the S12 headsets in the past year, as the over-the-head piece (where the metal portion gets inserted into the plastic sleeve keeps breaking after almost minimal use. The quality of the plastic used is pretty pathetic! I have also had a couple of the headsets on my team where the connectivity wire seems to have snapped inside and is not easy to get to be fixed easily. When I called Plantronics about possible replacement I was told it was out of warranty. Why can't Plantronics use all metal, or better plastic for their product, especially when they still charge so much for the unit, which other than these problems, works pretty well. The manufacturer should do a better hjob at standing behind their product, especially when bulk sales are involved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardest worker in our office We have several of these units for at least five years, no issues with them. Our clients love the sound quality. We love the volume control to bring up quiet talkers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't ask for anything better! I have only had this unit for a couple weeks now, but I am so happy with it! I have tried several other headsets over the years, and nothing has come close to this one! I love having the ability to not only adjust the volume of the caller, but also being able to adjust my own voice so that I don't sound like I am yelling at them. I have only used the over the head portion of the system, as I am not one who prefers the over the ear headsets, but this is just a personal preference. From what I read in other reviews, it seems to work just as well as the over the head portion. Another awesome thing about this product is how easy it was to set up. I work from home, so it was so nice to have something that was able to be set up by just simply following the instructions and not having to reach out for technical support to get the system installed. The only thing that I would change about this unit is the availability of other accessories for the unit. I would like to have the option of having speakers on both sides of the headset, if you would like, because there are some times where I like to be able to block all the sound out around me to further focus on my calls. Other than that, I have not a single complaint about this product. I definately feel like I got my moneys worth with this product! Best money I have spent on an office supply in a long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I agree about the longevity of the product, we're using 5 of them, and the PSU went bad on one, another just quit altogether, and the headset are very poorly constructed. All 5 pairs of them are broken. Way too expensive for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy! I have never been able to use this. It is useless. Even if you figure out how to connect it to your phone system, there is a problem inside the wire that connects to the earpiece causing a loss of connectivity. Also, the over the ear earpiece will NOT stay on your ear. Do not buy this junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset, not so great on the noise canceling This is my go to headset for the company. The audio quality is good, the build quality is good, and the headset is easy to use. The only downside I see is that its not great at noise canceling, people I am speaking with can hear background noise. I have adjusted the mic sensitivity to decrease the amount of background noise which seems to get it down to a satisfactory level.
