Plugable's USB-C to DVI Adapter allows you connect a DVI display to your laptop, tablet, or desktop which supports USB 3.1 Alternate Mode video output functionality. Currently the MacBook Retina 12" 2016/2017, 2016/2017 MacBook Pros, Google Pixelbook, Dell XPS 13 & 15 (9350x 9360, 9550, 9560), Microsoft Surface Book 2, and Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ support this functionality.
Performance USB-C Alt Mode graphics adapters utilize a direct pipeline to the graphics processor in your system, and your connected monitor will function and perform as a natively attached display.
Compatible Systems Plug and Play on any Windows, Mac, or Linux host which supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode video output functionality. Adapter has been tested for functionality on the 2017 iMac/iMac Pro, 2017 MacBook/MacBook Pro, MacBook Retina 12" 2016/2017, MacBook Pro 2016/2017, Microsoft Surface Book 2, Dell XPS 9350 / 9550, Lenovo P50, & more.
Apple Notes: To use a DVI display with MacBook systems, the display must support HDCP copy protection. Some older DVI displays do not support HDCP and will result in unusable behavior. This requirement is only enforced in OS X, as BootCamp Windows installations behave correctly with non-HDCP DVI displays. Good for older monitors that use DVI.
This product is great if you still have an older DVI monitor that you use. Am able to use newer devices to connect to old monitor. Sadly most newer monitors do use DVI connections they use DP or HDMI and now some are using USBC. Over a good product display was good but not much use for it unless you have an older monitor.

Works great!
This adapter is really nice for those of us that have a newer laptop, but older monitors so now we can use both together . Great performance! Had never heard of this brand before but I’m glad I heard about them. I’ll start buying my adapters there

Easy to set up and use
This adapter works very easily and flawlessly. I tested it out on a Microsoft Surface device running Windows 11. Immediately after plugging it in to the Surface as well as a Samsung DVI monitor, the display came to life. No drivers, no setup, no messing around. The display is sharp and responsive, with no lags, when working or displaying video. Certainly an inexpensive way to add another screen, or project something like your iPad somewhere.

This pluggable USB-C to DVI adapter driverless is like magic. It’s the best thing that could happen when you want to transfer the USB to TV. You can take it anywhere with you and use it or use it on your laptop and connected to something else.?
