The RAM-B-166-UN7U consists of a 3.25" twist lock suction cup base, double socket system and universal spring loaded X-Grip holder for cell phones. The suction cup, twist lock base is designed to have a strong hold on glass and non-porous plastic surfaces, including RAM adhesive disks. The mount is designed with a RAM 1" diameter patented rubber ball and socket system that has adjustment points at both ends of the double socket arm; this allowing for almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles. The included X-Grip cradle has a clean and clever four leg design that sports great holding power without hiding your phone behind foam pads and plastic. Unit broke first month use
The rubber ball of these units will break apart within a short period of time. Was told to send email to warranty dept with pics. Sent email which bounced.

Best cell phone mount ever!
I have had this mount for over 2 years now and couldn't be more impressed. Once you hold it in your hands and feel the quality construction from aluminium and rubber, you can tell that this US made product is going to be the last mount you own. Other than needing to reapply the suction cup to the windshield once in a while and having to use 2 hands to insert or remove the phone from the X-Grip, I have no complaints. RAM's ball and socket system also allows me to move the X-Grip and adjusting arm to my ATV where I have another base from them. Way to go USA!

Expensive, but worth it!
I bought this holder to hold my cell phone when I use Waze. It is more expensive than all the others, but it is much more solid and well made than any other that I have seen. It is completely adjustable and holds my cell phone very firmly. If you want one that lasts almost indefinitely even with heavy use, this is the one to get. The cheaper ones will break or not stick to your windshield after a few months of use. For an Uber driver, this would be a must...

Best Cell Phone Holder
The Ram X Grip is the best cell phone holder I ever bought... The quality construction of the holder and the grips make it a must buy even at the higher price, it's worth it... I have it mounted in my truck so whether I use my IPhone 6 plus or my wife uses her Samsung 8, this holder adapts to it quickly... I added to the Ram Mount IPad holder I already have in my truck to complete everything I need for the road...
