I originally had a hard drive so the speed difference when it came to file movement and loading was astonishing. It's actually a bit overkill with its performance but I'm happy with the SSD.

I have a Evo 2 tb.its very fast and lasts forever Samsung is fairly priced and works well with my laptop.i will use it in the future for my drone data,photos and videos.2tb of storage is plenty for files and all different kinds of media.ir saves my harddrive space especially Sally for games which require a ton of memory.samsing Evo is super fast and easy to use.

Obnoxiously fast, and more than quadrouple the storage of the PC itself. Will most likely be buying another one for a stand alone portable hard drive if I can get an enclosure for it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, secure, and protected! I purchased my 2TB 990 Pro on Amazon during a flash sale Amazon had on drives to upgrade my storage capacity. I had a 980 Pro but couldn’t pass up the opportunity for the 990 Pro’s speed boost. The difference on paper may seem negligible but in reality those speeds vary greatly from one motherboard and CPU combo to the next. Mine gave me a whopping 1000MB/s increase in performance. That’s not just a little bump. Transferring to and from it has been unnoticed while in use whereas it used to slow my games or cause stuttering during media playback. The warranty process and length are noteworthy. Samsung makes it simple to register your drive and start the process. My biggest love for this drive is the hardware encryption! Any of my friends and colleagues will tell you I’m a sucker for hardware based encryption. Samsung does it right. With the warranty and encryption make sure you get photos of the barcodes on the sticker.

The laptop has a heatsink, which keeps this drive nice and cool and in PCiE 4x4, it boots up faster than ever before. I now have plenty of storage for games, and with the included migration software, installation was a breeze. 10/10, would recommend.

I've got both machines running proxmox VE and with these SSDs, it is lightning fast! I've got a cluster setup and the read and write in between these two beast is absolutely insane, and it wouldn't be possible without the 990 Evo m.2 SSDs! A+

I've been through all the nonsense of deleting system files anything else I could find to clear space. I did a little research and quickly found that this was a good economic replacement. with the SSD technology things run much better system loads faster, read writes are much faster as well. I've always had great luck with Samsung products so it was no brainer to purchase this device been completely, 100% satisfied with its performance to value. and install was a breeze.

I have enough knowledge to understand the processing capabilities of these. I get no issues when I push my system with downloads, data transfers, and game time loads. I rarely see much heat increases too. And I am impatient when it comes to processes in pcs. I do extreme multi-tasking and push my pc to its limits. Even when I upgraded my cpu I just added more multi-tasking. I'd recommend this card without hesitation even for gamers. True gen 5 may not be utilized but gen 5 is still rarely used on boards anyways and you wouldn't be unhappy with the speeds of this card. Specially if you get this on sale. Can't beat price per performance per watt.
