connecting issues
I'm still adjusting to the new phone, it works just fine. I did have problems with getting the network to recognize the device. I understand that this has been an issue with some phones bought from the web site

BUYER BEWARE: Major display issues
I bought this phone in January of 2023. Quickly after I purchased the phone it started having issues with the display. Colors would flash briefly on the screen. Inconveniently, I had to mail the phone in for repair because they only have one repair center in my city and they don't work on this model. They supposedly replaced the display. I began having issues with the flashing colors once more but the phone was no longer within warranty. Now in October 2024 the backlight has failed rendering the phone entirely useless. Apparently there is no warranty on the repairs they supposedly did. Customer support is abysmal and intentionally frustrating. The hardware features of the phone itself such as the headphone jack and removeable battery were enjoyable but the extra buttons did not always function as they should.

XCover6 Pro vs S24 to Replace my S8Active
I love everything about this phone except that I can't get it to wireless charge. I got an S24 as a replacement for my S8Active that I loved but apps would no longer support the S8Active OS. The S24 has several flaws that I did not like:
1. No external headphone jack.
2. No memory expansion, no SD card slot.
3. Battery is not replaceable.
4. Not MilSpec hardened.
My new XCover 6 Pro has all these features.

Great phone but could use improvements
It's a great phone but definitely is a little lower quality than the higher models. You can tell because of the vibrator and speakers. The back snapping on is also a feature I don't like. I'd prefer a screw or something holding it on. The back does come off too easy.

Not well made, poor coustomer service
Purchased phone as it was supose to be a heavy duty phone that i was hoping would last for several years as i dont buy new phones every year. After owning it less than a year i had a issue with mic not working. Got sent to best buy, then a ibreakufix, and then mailed in my phone, at this point they claimed it was physically damaged with no explanation of how this convlusion was made (upon sending phone i examened it and i didnt see any physical damage, and always used a enclosed case) wanted to charge almost as much as i paid for device, very poor coustomer service, their only alternative solution was telling me i could trade in and buy a new device.
Phone itself i loved until this incident, now i have to make due with a partually broke phone as they wont cover under warranty.

Its decent and meets expectations
This is a decent phone. This phone has a lot of features that most phones have abandoned like the headphone jack, SD card slot and removable battery. In fact this is the only removable battery phone that can be bought in the USA and is actually a usable phone at least that I have found. It would be nice if the phone came with IR but that is not a dealbreaker. I keep my old IR phone around for times that I might need that. Overall the phone is meeting my expectations in performance. It does work on the carrier T-mobile at least perfectly, this is for the unlocked version. The carriers won't really sell it to a consumer because I assume they want you to buy something that traps you into yet another phone with a non-removable battery. Thankfully I found this device and was able to order it directly from Samsung so I won't be dealing with that racket anymore.
The only problem is that for the money I paid when I use the accubattery app the app says the battery is at 85%. Everyone knows a phone battery is nearly dead at 80% life. So it appears the batteries that ship with this phone are not full capacity for whatever reason. They should be starting off at 95% at the lowest. The phone is not slow like other people say it works fine in this regard. It can handle multiple simultaneous apps and it works great for Pokemon Go which might be a big reason some people are buying this phone. So if you are buying this phone for Pokemon go it does work very well on this phone.
The battery life is very subpar on this phone for those that use the phone heavily, which is probably why you chose to invest in a removable battery phone, so you can replace the battery when its starting to lose life and not have to deal with low battery life for a couple years before you have to shell out for a new device.
The other problem is that there is no official dock charger for this phone at least in the USA, so you can't charge an extra battery without removing the case that you will definitely want for this phone, opening the back on the phone and removing the first battery, and charging the second in the phone, then putting the first one back into the phone. This phone would be the best phone ever and the removable battery system would work wonders if it came packaged with a dock charger and an extra battery, and for the money it should. I have bad experiences using 3rd party dock charges for these kinds of batteries, I had one blow up a battery in my house, so I won't be using those, but that seems like the only option to charge a second battery without using the actual phone to charge it.

Rugged with replaceable battery and sd storage
I had an s5 for years to take advantage of the battery and added storage. I decided to switch from my s20 ultra to this with the battery going. It seems decent so far. I wonder about how the fewer bands will affect coverage compared to the flagship models. The one major complaint about the phone is the lack of support for it since it is not the flagship s23. I have an issue trying to voice text using Android auto. I posted on a Samsung support forum and got no support at all. I had it working once but something changed. There seems to be a lack of support since I didn't pay a fortune for it. Hopefully that changes.

Almost perfect, need FM radio and InfraRed remote
Almost perfect. This is the list of features I value the most: 1. Swapable battery; 2. uSDXC cards support; 3. JACK audio port; 4. good camera; 5. Gloves friendly; 6. DEX; USB-C 3 (SuperSpeed).
But there are a few features I miss: 1. FM radio (present in XCover5, would like also DAB+ support); 2. IrDA (remote emulator (record and transmit) - very useful when you need control AV devices and remote is missing); 3. Would welcome ECG ( sometimes there are emergency situations - integrated something like: AliveCor Kardia Mobile 6L) with pulse oximetry (I need it to be used on others so no, watch is not an option); 4. Support for Gear360 (2016) - as I still use them (I have six and are still very useful) - there is cracked version of app (smartphone independent) it can only control device but does not stitch; 5. Qi charging also saves the USB-C port, so would welcome it; 6. as in Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro I would love it to work without battery - just plugged to charger.

Disappointing
Bought one when it became available in the US hoping for a high-end phone that would last a decade. Finally got around to setting it up and using it. The overall experience is about average for an expensive phone: it's fast, the fingerprint scanner works well, screen colors and clarity are just fine. Unfortunately, there are a few deal breakers that are unacceptable for a phone at this price point that have pushed me toward buying a different phone and eating the cost of this one:
- The battery life is sub-par. Sure, I could carry around an extra battery and swap it out, but the point of shelling out for a removable battery was to be able to replace it every 2-3 years. What's the point if the default battery life is about the same as a 2-year-old non-replaceable battery?
- The Eye Comfort Shield acts more like an Extra Eye Strain Mode that throws a hazy, washed-out, yellow overlay on everything. I sit in front of screens all day and have relied on my old phone's blue light reduction for years. After some digging, it looks like this is a software issue with non-OLED screens that Samsung doesn't think is worth addressing.
- It uses some convoluted "Sleep Mode" that packages bed-time (with some settings like DND and Eye Comfort) and wakeup alarms, but the wakeup alarm doesn't always sound. I've missed work meetings and have resorted to using my old phone for my wakeup alarm.
I was really excited to finally get a high-end phone with a removable battery. Now I'm really disappointed I got this and can't return it.

Not rugged at all stay away!
Great phone but not rugged at all! T back cover comes lose very easily leaving the phone vulnerable!
I discovered this when my grandson sprayed me with the hose and just enough water got on to kill the phone!
If you have one of these get a case that will keep the back secured!
What a waste of $600 my non rugged phones could handle more water than this one.

Great Durable Phone
I bought this in December of 2022 to replace my Galaxy Xcover Pro. I like the fact that you have doubled the internal storage and increased the RAM by 2 GB. It is much faster than the Xcover Pro. I like the fact is it now a 5G capable phone. I get a 5GUC single on my phone from T-Mobile. The battery life is good wish the battery was a little bigger. It would have been nice to include the water-resistant seal around the whole phone instead of the battery compartment but all in all a pretty good water-resistant phone.

This phone brings back what matter
I have stuck with Samsung flagship phones since the Galaxy S4. To me, the S4 was the closest to perfection a smartphone could be from the core hardware features standpoint. I could do some pretty cool things with it, like powering down or lowering the volume of loud Samsung TVs in a restaurant or bar. The last flagship Galaxy line I held on to was the S10+. I did not feel like upgrading to the newer ones, because the cost has gone up significantly, and the useful hardware features I prized in the S4 such as IR control, removable battery, audio jack, and SD-card expansion slot have gradually been removed, arguably to make way for prestige-driven tik-tok influencer technology along with the rest of the herd. The last straw for me was the removal of the SD-card expansion slot. I have held on to my S10+ as long as I could, but now the phone is cracked front and back, and the AMOLED is dead on the screen corner.
Fortunately, this device brings back almost all the features I like minus IR in this device. I wouldn't mind paying extra for an AMOLED display and wireless charging option. The backlight from the current LED display makes reading eBooks and watching videos harder and tiring on my eyes. It doesn't adapt well to various lighting conditions.
If you are into prestige and displaying it, this phone will disappoint you. The plastic cover will make sure of that. But if you have more utilitarian inclinations, it is a great phone at a reasonable price point. As the title says, it brings back what matters, no more, no less.

BREAKS
Extremely disappointed with the ruggedness! This phone cracked a few times (with a case and a screen protector on it) However this last crack left it completely inoperable. I've had non rugged samsungs in the past that were more durable. If you are going to claim something is rugged, it should not crack and completely not work afterwards from nothing significant happening to it. And if this does happen, you should be replacing the phone, or paying for the expensive repair for it. I feel like I was completely duped. I don't get insurance because I don't think it would be so easy to break! Also, the chat assistance are absolutely horrible. AND you're "repair" site set me up with an appointment that I showed up to, only for the place to be closed! And when they opened, they still had to order the part! Why would they not order the part when I made the appointment where the phone was listed and the issue. You guys are becoming as untrustworthy as Apple at this point.

It has it's plus and minuses
I had the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro and I loved it the only thing I did not like about it was slow. The 6pro phone is faster and the photos look better. I don't like the fact that is is hard to hold, it is very slippery feels like plastic and is longer. The older phone felt like rubber and it was easy to grip it. Xcover 6pro screen display has more of a pink tent to the imagines and you cant adjust the color. The 6Pro comes with a data transfer cable witch is nice BUT No USB charging cable and power block. Please Samsung include data transfer cable and charging block!!! Also the notifications and ring tones are very different, I like the old ones better.

Great features return to phones
Been using the phone for 5 days now. I was super excited for a phone that returned a few of my favorite features, like a replaceable battery, microsd card, headphone jack. So far those features are great. I'm coming from a pixel 6 and like this screen much more, the 120Hz is smooooth. This fingerprint scanner is very fast compared to pixel 6 or my work galaxy 10e. Still waiting for samsung to release the pogo dock shown in the original release video. I love the rugged feeling of the phone really hope this starts a trend for phones, I'm not a fan of all the glass backed phones, too slippery too easy to crack. I do miss wireless charging, i'm just so use to dropping a phone on a wireless charger to top off throughout the day. Overall though really like the phone hoping can keep this one for a long time.

Great features for a good price
So far have had for a week. Liking so far. Love having the microsd card and headphone jack back in a phone. Coming from a pixel 6, this has a much better screen and better battery life. Is it the fastest phone ever, no, is it the best camera ever, no. But that's not the point of this phone. I love the rugged feel. This is a phone you know isn't going to crack when you drop it.
