Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture quality. I bought this 85" TV almost a year ago when it was half off. Couldn't let the deal slip away. Set up was easy since I already had samsung accounts. Picture is amazing. The colors amazing. Heck even the black levels are amazing. Turning on intelligent mode on the TV has literally rendered using a sound system useless as the sound out of this TV is amazing on intelligent mode. Minus the bass that only a sound system can make. Almost a year later update. TV is still working amazing. My only cons are when watching a movie there is a lot of juddering on fast moving objects even when lowering those levels. The anti-glare gives off a rainbow affect that can be distracting on black areas of the TV when sunlight is coming in. Doesn't affect the performance or picture but I have noticed there might be a dead pixel in the middle of the screen you can only see on a white bright screen. And screen seems to be bubbling or delaminating on different areas, but those are only visible when the screen is actually off Otherwise non existent when the screen is on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture and solid audio I upgraded from an old 55" 720P Samsung DLP set. The 85" QLED picture is stunning in comparison. Screen is way brighter overall. Darks are darker. Contrast is amazing. And the sound is much more full than our old TV. I've been using the built-in apps on the TV with a hardwired Ethernet connection. Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video all work great with TV remote. The TV remote supports Google Assistant which makes things even that much easier. I compared the picture quality of the built-in apps on hardwired Ethernet to my Wifi-based Chromecast Ultra attached on an HDMI port on the same QN90A, and the picture quality of the built-in apps is much better. The QN90A even has an app for Verizon FiOS. And using that app, the TV remote can fully control the most-used features of the cable box. And again with built-in Google Assistant support, you can press a button and tell it what TV channel or show you want to watch, which is very nice. It took me a while to figure out our particular sound system set up. I have a 6.1 surround sound system in place. I wanted to be able to run it in parallel with the internal TV speakers. In order to set that up to work properly, I had to switch the sound output on the optical link from "Auto" to "PCM". When I did that, when I selected the internal TV speakers as output, the optical link stayed active and I was able to switch my receiver into 6.1 mode and it all worked. I'm very happy with the QN90A and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from $1500 for bloat autoplay ads i bought this tv for the panel but the awful bundled software has more than ruined the experience. dozens of apps pre-installed that you cant remove. auto play ads on the home screeen that you cant remove. half the time i start the tv it just autoplays one of samsungs preinstalled streaming services as they try to push sales down your throat. then when you are trying to get out of the deafening autoplayed content the tv is stuck on loading as the audio continues in the background because samsung loads sponsored content before the menu is even ready. atrocious. i have had $200 tvs with better integrated software.

The viewing experience of this mini LED TV is very amazing. The overall viewing experience is even better than that of an OLED TV at twice the price!No joke. pros: 1) The 85-inch large mini LED screen coupled with ultra-high brightness, 1000 nits of brightness, and ultra-high contrast make the movie experience of Netflix and FOX very, comparable to the cinema effect. 2) First-class industrial design, ultra-narrow frame, and ultra-thin body, it looks very simple. 3) HDMI 2.1 and 120HZ refresh rates are very suitable for PS5 4) The new UI design is great, the operation is very comfortable, and the new remote control design is very comfortable. cons: 1) The sound quality needs to be improved. It may be because the body is too thin to fit a big speaker, the sound is relatively thin, and the sense of hierarchy is insufficient. 2) The bracket of the TV is a bit unstable, it is recommended to hang it on the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap Materials - Breaks Easy dont buy it!!! its not worth the risk. three options. 1. professionally mount and never ever touch it. professionally because they will take the risk of breaking. 2. buy an insurance policy that covers accidental damange because anything that can go wrong because is not their fault. 3. buy another brand. i was pushing the tv back after pulling it out to change the hdmi port. the light pressure on the bottom bezel cracked the sensitive screen and pixels broke. it is 7 months old. buy and ask for forgivness later has backfired. cost to repair is $1300

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HDMI Ports Defective-check all your hdmi ports i bought the 85” qn85a in october 2021 for watching movies (blu-ray) with surround sound, and gaming, however, only one hdmi port could be used (#4). since the tv was defective, i did an exchange at the retailer and decided to go up a model to the qn90a (85”). i have the same issue. you can only plug an hdmi cable into one port. i tried plugging firesticks and different hdmi cables into the other three ports with no success. the port is either too small, shaped differently, or have some other manufacturing issue. i find it hard to believe that i ended up with the only two tvs with this issue. i believe there’s a manufacturing issue that no one is aware of because most people use streaming services.

When playing video games the TV automatically senses it and changes the mode to gaming mode. Super cool. The TV provides a wide variety of settings, so you can customize the screen to your liking. Very happy with this TV and would highly recommend.

Get the best internet you can for this size. Apple TV is amazing on this! Never cared about TVs but we have a family now. The last tv we bought was in 2010 a 42” LG flat screen 1080p. The Samsung for us is better than the oled in a side by side comparison for brightness and picture quality for movies, sports, general tv viewing. We are not gamers. There is a plethora of 4K really only on Netflix, a few Amazon prime, all of new Apple TV shows, some YouTube. From my understanding nfl is to be live 4K. Looking forward to putting the tv through the motions. Easy to setup and unbox. Does need 2 people to move to final place. The remote is solar and fast charge. I love the remote it died once in the month I put by the window and was fine in less than a minute. It is also controlled by Alexa so a good fail safe to turn tv on/off. Easy to screen mirror our Mac, iPad, and iPhone and picture is amazing! When more content goes to 8k I will upgrade in several years. Only regret is not have more money to get the bigger screen!

I've used to stream content on to and the layout and simplicity to start is excellent. I've also played console games on it and used gaming mode and it works great as well. All in all it is a fantastic purchase and tv. Highly recommended.

I select either a movie, drama, sub-opera drama, sports, or a comedy show, that I like. Sometimes, I watch the news, and politics, to know what is going on around the country. Sometimes, I watch the world news, and the weather forecast. There are tons of variety of channels to select from. I just select one channel that I like, and be watching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fatal Flaw on an otherwise great TV. i finally pulled the trigger on an 85” tv. despite it being gard to transport, setup, and lift. i was immediately blown away by the pucture quality. however, the qn90a has a fatal flaw; the wide angle and anti-glare lense on the screen renders the tv absolutely useless out of the box. this lense creares a streaking rainbow effect, thats utterly distracting and ruins the viewing experince. instead of glare reducing as intened, this exponentially multiplies glare in any normal household setup if you have lights on anywhere within range of the tv. my 15 year old tv had less glare. this is an absolute waste of money, and a waste of your time. i would actively reccomend not purchasing this tv, or samsung, to any family, friends, or even strangers.

We are pleased with the vibrant colors, the display, the sound. If you don’t want a big black rectangle on your wall, you can customize a display to make it look more appealing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture but has quality issues For my household, main content sources are streaming apps Netflix, Prime, Youtube etc. Samsung Plus is a great option and you don't miss traditional TV guide! Now the negatives. Tizen has much limited set of apps. So if your app is not there you are out of luck. There is also a glitch that previously working Apps stop loading. Hub reset solved it for me. The Wi-Fi reception is not great, other devices get great speed at the same location but not the TV. Had to use Ethernet. The TV had blinking issue from day one. I informed Samsung and their "contracted" tech visited our house and in conjunction with Samsung back office diagnosed it to be a HW problem. Samsung did not give me a choice of replacement of TV. Rather in next visit Tech spliced open the TV replaced the main board. The problem persisted. Again, instead of replacing the TV, Samsung decided to replace the TV panel!. After that major surgery the plastic cover did not close and align perfectly and I am left with a lemon!

Simple start menu and quick to operate, then very impressed with the color, picture, and sound quality. Note: we obtain the n90a sound at also. After serval days still loving the TV, I miss Roku on the set, but Samsung TV option is very good and learning the system every day. Thanks Samsung

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best TV in this segment/class. the picture and brightness is the best in its class. not many 85 inch tv out there to choose from. the processor is fast and tv turns off and on instantly. the remote can be better. it is very sensitive and a slight touch would kick you out of your show you are watching and then you have to navigate through to return to what you were watching. still a good tv. no burn ins compared to oleds.

I just powered up my tv and I'm enjoying the Olympics, the picture quality is outstanding. The setup was extremely easy. I was a little nervous about shipping a 85" tv but the packaging is designed very well and there was no issues with shipping. Buy this tv, you will love it!

I am an anime lover, this tv provides the most exclusive experience to watch all my favorite animations. I also enjoy the casting speed, quality and connection with my mobile. The virtual gaming with samsung tv was been so far most formidable and the quality of the speakers are the best, not only the sound but the effects of the game are upto Mark in this tv. I have an uncomparable experience so far and recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful picture, awful reflections. i had a longer review, but samsung limits reviews to 800 characters. overall, i am quite disappointed with the reflections that i am getting, but in a dark room at night it is bearable, and looks quite good as long as no reflection is visible. i would not purchase this tv again, and since it was backordered, by the time i received it, it was too late to send back after i used it for a couple of weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QN85QN90AAFXZA this is my first review ever so forgive me if i leave anything out. i want to warn consumers about this product and i have attached 2 pictures to this review. one image is from samsung's site saying that this tv is anti-reflection, the second is a reflection of lights being on in the background. if you have any lights on in the background it will produce a rainbow across the screen. i have tried to reach out to tech support and samsung did send someone out and just told me this is a reflection and nothing can be done even though on their site it says anti-reflection. please be warned. thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A return label in the bottom of the packaging i just received my qn90a 85 inch tv today and after mounting it but before turning it on i removed all packaging from the staging area. to my surprise there was a return authorization with rma in the bottom of the package. sure enough, when i turned on the tv, more than half of the screen was damaged. mind you, the shipping box was nearly pristine and the tv itself had no discernible damage when off. i am flabbergasted to have received someone's return as a new product and have promptly initiated a return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QN90A 85" does NOT meet my expectations samsung performance is low. there's glare & support has no answer. it needs to be dark and is difficult to watch in bright lights. this is so bad, even after trying multiple adjustments, that i have to turn off all lights and close the blinds during the day and even then, the light streaming thru the blinds streaks across the screen. additionally, the "intelligent" mode leaves images on most shows seeming airbrushed instead of realistic. i now regret spending $3500+ on this tv instead of sticking with sony.

The brides are absolutely bright and the blacks are as black as can be. I would definitely recommend this television.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal TV our 85" samsung qn90a is absolutely incredible! i cannot recommend this tv more. don't be fooled by youtube reviewers who are comparing this tv side by side with oled. they are dialing the tv back to try and purposely match it to the oled. noone is going to buy a samsung qled tv and do this. they are not showing you how much of a brightness difference there is when they are compared in a normal person's viewing mode. (how 95% of the people are going to use it) the high brightness, beautiful saturated colors, and hdr are incredible. this tv works in all lighting conditions, not just dark like oled. if you walked into bestbuy and saw this tv right next to an oled, the samsung will draw your eyes to it. it's that good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its ok but not as good as I hoped It has a decent picture but not really better than the UHD I had before. When I have it on intelligent picture, it studders a lot. When it is off, the deep blacks shadow and look rough. Colors are not as dynamic either. I probably should have gotten an OLED but I really wanted the bigger screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV & Picture but Dolby Atmos Issue great tv with awesome pictures especially when watching hdr content. my only complaint is dolby atmos doesn't work on the netflix app that is pre-installed on the tv from time to time. tried resetting the tv, enabled all recommend settings but no luck so far. other applications seem to support dolby atmos fine (apple tv, hbo max, etc). tv software version is 2101. i believe the recent firmware update broke the atmos feature on netlix. hope there is a fix coming soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good picture, apps/home screen the picture is very nice. the tv comes with a gaggle of pre-installed apps and sponsored content, and you can't remove them, hide them (remove from home screen). also can't remove live tv icon being first on the home screen. and don't get me started on the sponsored content. very upsetting that they don't indicate anywhere on their website or packaging that there is no ad-free experience available with their tv, nor that appletv, peacock, netflix, hulu, amazon, and others, have all paid to ensure that you can't remove or hide their apps, regardless of the fact that you don't wish to subscribe to them, or use them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wall mount holes are not centered I paid ~$3,500 for this TV that removed features that were in older models. My Klipsch soundbar does not work with the new TV. Also the VESA mounting holes are not centered as the rest of the TVs, resulting in my TV hanging 6" lower than my older Samsung TV on the same VESA wall mount.

The set up was really easy, utilizing the Samsung app. For the first few days, I had not selected the available viewing modes, such as "Dynamics, standard, movies etc. Which made the screen so bright, it was like looking into the sun. But after settling on "standard or movie" view setting, OMG it's beyond amazing. Last night I watched Avatar1 on blu-ray, which was upscaled to 4K. Even though I've seen this movies several times, I was blown away by the picture & sounds. No longer am I watching a movie on the TV, I'm now "At the movies". I love it.

No need for a streaming stick because the tv is very responsive not much lag when flipping through streaming services. Neo has the greatest picture I've ever seen, the blacks are BLACK and the white doesn't bleed. In fact it makes my Samsung phone look old and outdated. If your looking for a tv with all the features then neo qn90a is a perfect fit for you, and an 85inch is a massive beast. Great way to make all your friends and family wanna come to your house on game day. One last thing is the picture is so great it makes real life not as vibrant not sure how they pulled that off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor quality control with good picture quality (+) The picture quality is impressive and the brightness is excellent for my use case - which is in a brightly lit room. I refuse to purchase anymore OLEDs due to having to scrap 3 TVs due to burn-in. This TV is definitely on par with OLED in terms of picture quality. (-) The TV I received was bowed - meaning the frame was physically bent. (-) There was some dirty screen effect present. A grid pattern is visible on white/grey screens. (-) The stand is VERY deep - if you expect to place this near a wall, then wall mounting is your only option. I elected to not send the TV back as it’s a huge hassle for a TV this size and where it’s located in my home. I may call Samsung about an extended warranty purchase to feel a little more comfortable about my purchase due to the QC issues I’ve seen this far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This TV exceeds my expectations This TV has provided an incredible picture, exceeding my expectations. The instructions for assembly are simple and easy to follow. We had it up and running in less than an hour. We used the stand for a week before mounting it to the wall. The mounting to the wall was a bit much so required a professional. They had it up and running without a hitch. We enjoy movies on the this TV so much that we are hard pressed to go out. It's our mini theater now.
