Slow Write speeds
Greetings.
I have problems with write speed on this drive... The read speed is fine with transferspeed between 400-460MB/s. But when writing to the drive its only between 30-50MB/s. Ma old WD elements mechanical drive is faster than this SSD.
When doing a benchmark test in Samsung Magician it says 438MB/s S read & 440MB/s S Write.

I like that it is small. I also like that it can just plug into the phone and be used as external storage. What I don't like about it: when viewing a photo on the hard drive using Samsung gallery app, you cannot swipe for the next photo. You have to close the picture and touch the next photo.

Purchased for offsite storage, couldn't be happier! A small and quick package, performed without fail using goodsync and a macbook for a NAS partial backup. Has a handy handle to attach a airtag tracker or other style tag. No problems formatting for Journaled format or using Mac OS encryption.

I have had this drive for about 6 months. Had very good read and write speeds. It is small and compact. The only downside to it is that the rubbery feeling shell acts as a magnet and attracts dirt and dust very easily and so grippy feeling that sometimes it's hard to wipe off.

I love how small and mighty the SSD is, even the coating around it gives it a very strong but still beautiful and sleek kind of feel. Transfer speeds are super fast, I have it plugged directly into my Galaxy Book thunderbolt 4 port. I love the extra security feature as well which allows you to toggle security mode on or off. Security mode allows you to input and require a password before any changes are made to the SSD and that’s a first for me, I feel like all companies should do this.
