Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product It's smaller than I expected but it works well. I tend to remove it from my ACER laptop when I'm finished with it because it tends to get hot. I purchased the lifetime ENC DataVault. So I could leave it attached to the laptop at all times if I wanted and feel secure my data is safe but because it gets hot, not sure what damage that would cause. Would appreciate some feed back on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice value memory expansion! This unit was acquired because I had converted from a 1 Tb hard drive, to a 512 Gb SSD, after a device failure, and wanted extra storage for video content. Transfer times were quite good (in excess of 12 Mps) and access times are excellent in use. The price was extremely good for this much storage, and the device is very portable. My only quibble - there are a few files that are larger than this device can handle - it appears to use 32 bit addressing, not 64. Still, it represents a terrific value to extend my new SSD.
