Elegant solution
This charger is about the size of the battery in girth and about 1” longer than the battery in length. The case slides open and the battery goes inside. Shut the case, plug the USB cable (that came with the camera) into the USB adapter (that also came with the camera) into the end of the charger and the battery starts charging with an indicator light showing it’s charging. When the battery is charged, the light goes out. Super compact design and it works. Charged a partially discharged battery in about an hour.
So now a word about the gripes that the RX 100 cameras came with no external charger. So What? People say you can’t use the camera while the battery is charging inside the camera. Well, my Olympus Stylus 1 came with an external charger and guess what? I can’t use the camera when the battery is charging in the external charger! So what’s the solution? A spare battery AND an external charger. The ACCTRDCX Travel DC Charger Kit fills the bill quite well in a very compact package…and it comes with a spare battery.

Warning! This could drain your battery!
I'm now on my second USB Travel Charger and battery kit. The first one was charging the battery fine, and after charging I would generally keep the spare battery in it. But when I came to use the battery, I found it was dead. I ran some tests and found the charger itself was draining the battery!
My second seems to be working fine but unfortunately I can't trust it. So my rating is a so-so.

Awesome charger
This is the coolest charger! I love how compact it is. In the past the chargers for cameras are big. This one fits in my camera bag with no problem. I would definitely recommended this product.

Developed a fault after a few weeks
Product started off really well until after a few weeks I noticed the charger light wouldn't go out after charging for a few hours. Nevertheless I kept it with the spare battery in my pocket until the current battery was exhausted, then swapped the batteries only to find the one that was sitting in the portable charger was also exhausted.
After running some tests on the charger I'm finding that it is charging the battery, but at the same time it's also discharging the battery a little. So if you unplug the charger, it eventually depletes the battery charge. The temporary solution is to remove the charged battery and replace it the other way round to prevent
discharge.
