Top spec television
I was looking for a replacement tv as my Lg had started showing green screen and pixel damage. Having researched a number of options I chose the Sony because of its picture quality and screen speaker system. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and it is amazing. Sound and picture quality is excellent and if you’re into gaming the XBox quality is superb.

Totally amazing television
I’ve had the A95L for a few days now and it is a sensational bit of kit, a very expensive television to buy up worth every penny , the picture quality and sound is totally amazing and I can’t see how it can get better than this . There’s been a bit of a hiccup on the five year warranty registration, for some reason the Sony website has difficulty receiving the receipt information which is a bit of a pain and the email that is sent out is somewhat rude it is there problem not the customers, but apart from that I’m happy with the television and the service as usual from Sony

A wonderful TV with great HD upscaling and 4K image displays. But the unit came with no physical manual and I have not managed to find an online/downloadable equivalent. The online help guide is extremely limited, pretty disappointing at this price point.

Top Notch - Fantastic
I did a lot of research before I made up my mind about choosing this Sony A95L - 65inch - tv. Read a lot of reviews on various magazines. I looked at different makes on display at the usual retailers that sell top-end televisions to compare and contrast- no pun intended. I wanted to buy the most current model as I was spending over and above the average amount one would spend and I had to think hard before buying a model that came out one year ago in 2023.
Sony has not brought out a newer model to replace this QD- OLED this year, 2024. None of the 2024 models by leading competitors of Sony impressed me as much as this A95L tv .
In the end, all things considered, this particular Sony tv was the one that impressed me the most.
The picture is fantastic. The tv’s own sound quality is great. You’re paying a premium price but you do get a superb television for your money.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic Picture Quality
So after a lot of deliberating I decided to purchase the 65-inch version, yes it is expensive but I've had many Sony TVs in the past and this is by far the best. The ease of use with the menus and the backlit remote is outstanding. The picture quality is the best I've ever seen and the upscaling is perfect when combined with the processor gives such a visual delight. I also purchased the A7000 and SW5 and with all this connected gives such a superior sound. I like the Bravia Core movies and I am blown away by the quality. I recommend this TV, a true master series!!

The picture is so good I was so surprised at the quality, the TV has so many features too many for me to try and get my head around, but I'm sure I will get to them all my only disappointment is I have TV set to use satellite but I can't work out how to set the Freesat channel list. But in every other way is far superior toy old Samsung ks9000 and I will never go back again.

I’ve been lucky enough to own numerous OLED tvs over the the years. LG, Samsung QD OLED and now the A95L.
All I need to say is, easily the BEST OLED on the market. UI is simple and easy to use (no lagging menus unlike Samsung) picture is amazing and it supports so many features where others offer half.
Easily the best tv I’ve owned and possibly on the market.

Another great television from Sony
All the television sets in my home are Sony (all 5), plus the Sony projector in my cinema room. They are all great products and give in my opinion the best picture quality available. This one however is outstanding, it is definitely the best picture I have ever seen on any TV. Coupled with the theatre bar 9 and 5 sub, the performance is second to none.

King of TVs in 2023
Having been a loyal Sony customer for years, it was an absolute no brainer for me to purchase this one of a kind Sony A95L Master Series. The picture quality is simply breathtaking, thanks to the superior QD-OLED panel. It has made me rewatch multiple parts of films again, and I must say, utilising the included Bravia Core service takes this TV to new heights, and you will not be disappointed. On that note, having a PlayStation 5 connected via the HDMI 2.1 port allows you to unlock the full capabilities of the A95L, with the likes of the 120Hz refresh rate, VRR, ALLM etc.
I must say the sound is amazing as well, and it really does come from the screen, providing a much more immersive experience, depending on the type of content you watch. Not to mention, pairing the TV with a Sony SA-SW5 subwoofer and HT-A7000 soundbar adds a new dimension to this already remarkable TV, and you can really appreciate the quality of this state of the art Sony ecosystem.
If you are on the fence about buying this TVs predecessor, being last year's A95K, I suggest you spend the extra money on this A95L instead, if possible. The build quality and placement of the ports is far more modular and refined, and the TV overall is significantly thinner. I can ensure you will not regret this purchase, and this TV really is a master at work, hence the name.

Superb TV, beautiful picture quality, very pricey
Let’s start with the good stuff. This TV has by far the best picture quality I’ve ever seen on any TV, the professional picture setting has great colours and gives the most accurate picture (stay away from vivid picture mode, it’s awful). The new gen QD-OLED panel is very bright, viewing the screen in a bright room is not an issue, even in Dolby Vision Dark. The motion handling is excellent, very smooth and natural. I can’t comment on the sound quality as I use a cinema surround system. Build quality is top draw.
Now for the negatives. Firstly that price tag, it’s too expensive in my opinion, especially considering other TV’s with 99% as good a picture can be had much cheaper.
Secondly the TV has a lot of bugs and requires a firmware update straight away. Not a major deal but why not delay the release a couple of weeks and make sure they’re shipped with a working firmware.
Lastly, a TV that costs this much only having two HDMI 2.1 ports is scandalous, other much cheaper TVs offer four HDMI 2.1 ports.
The negatives don’t prevent this from being a superb TV though. If you want a TV with top level picture quality and motion handling this is the TV for you.

Expensive but Below my Expectation
I bought XR-65A95L this month. It is expensive and costs me much. Before receiving the delivery of it, I thought my payment of this Sony TV should worth. Unfortunately, I am sharply astonished that the TV is not user-friendly. It has no "UK Catch Up Apps" nor the BCC iPlayer, which is very common and most of the people (including me) always suppose it should have been built in or could be easily downloaded from the app.(surprisingly lower level of Sony TV can have "BCC IPlayer built in). For "Sound bar", the cable provided to me is not enough. I have tried to look for help and support but all failed. I paid for installation but could not get it done. Up to now, I am still looking for some-one to help me. So, I look for your sending technician or some person to help me set up well. It is far below my expectation and I am disappointed very much. If these cannot be remedied and these enjoyments cannot be given, how can I recommend Sony XR-65A95L to my friends.

Absolutely spectacular picture quality.
We have had this TV up and running now for about 5 weeks and it's definitely the best TV we have ever had. Picture quality is outstanding. We like the two remote controls and mostly just use the simple version which is all that's really needed once the TV is set up. There are of course many features and we like the auto picture adjustment for various light conditions. The one thing that is disappointing is the facility to add a separate sub woofer as your AF8 model which we purchased in 2018 and it made a huge difference to the sound. TV's just are not capable of producing top level sound by the nature of their design and to be honest even expensive sound bars are not exactly spectacular.
However, apart from the sound issue which we have solved by adding a hi Fi system with the TV it's a fantastic TV.

Just a great TV
I bought a LG G3 to start off with as I couldn't justify the added money for the Sony however the G3 was a disappointment .... flat lifeless picture .... so I sent it back and spent the extra.
The colours & depth of picture does make it worth it, I do have a small gripe & if you are a SKY Q user ... its not a sharp picture & I have tried everything to fix it ... I hope Sony will provide a software update to fix this as it should be perfect for the money

I bought a Sony A95L 2 weeks ago. I have hung the TV on the wall using Sony's static wall mount. Very happy with both purchases. hanging the TV was simple and feels secure. TV set-up was straight forward. Would have liked more information on the TVs settings and will have to look on the web. Will be connecting the TV to a home cinema. However, the sound just from the TV was excellent and will use the facility to use the TV as the centre speaker.

Not as good as my previous Sony.
My 8 year old Sony 65 inch tv was having problems with Netflix and Prime so I decided to go for a new set and, having heard lots of good things about OLED picture quality I went for this tv. I don’t think I would go for an OLED for my next tv because I’ve tried so many adjustments but cannot get a picture that was as good as my previous Sony. My main complaint is the picture seems to have a ‘glare’ yet if I turn down the contrast or brightness there seems to be a ‘film’ like muslin over the screen. All the preset picture modes are not very pleasing and I think the picture lacks sharpness. It’s not terrible and sometimes it appears ok but there’s something not quite right about the picture. There are many adjustments you can make to the picture but I haven’t found a way to get a better picture. A pity the presets are all more extreme and look like too high contrast and colour, even the one called ‘calm’ isn’t so good although it’s the one I use most, the other is ‘standard’ and these two with lower contrast and brightness remove some of the glare. I haven’t found a way to get a natural looking picture yet. It would be a good inclusion in the presets for a ‘natural’ option picture. Maybe in the future I will hit upon a watchable combination but I’ve not had this problem with my previous (non OLED) sets.

Great tv best I have ever owned
I purchased this tv to upgrade from a previous Sony OLED that I owned for two years and also owned the first Sony A1 OLED tv when it was released in 2017, I must say that this A95 65” tv is unbelievably good in every way, it has far exceeded my expectations and worth the premium price paid, if you are a
serious movie fan then this is the tv for you the quality and detail reproduced is bright and clear and is the best I have ever
seen, to complement this tv I purchased a HT9 with a SW5 sub home theatre system and using the A95 as the centre channel together my viewing and listening pleasure was unbelievable.
I would give this tv 10/10 there’s nothing better in my opinion.

Superb picture but poor integration with Sony Avr
Bought this TV along with Sony ta-an1000 Avr and wireless speakers and subwoofer. Had to replace Avr as first one would not auto calibrate properly with remote wireless speakers. Took a month or so to get all working together but even now the integration between TV and Avr is very poor. The TV appears to always attempt to have priority so switching everything on will not default properly to last input watched. Sometimes you'll get video from Avr and sounds from TV content and vice versa, and occasionally TV reverted to green screen necessitating a restart power cycle to fix.
Finally the video and audio are out of sync, but only on some broadcasts making av sync problematic.

Very pleased with the TV lovely picture and sound...But you must load the latest update to get the streaming services apps but no free-view play .Marvellous performance on you tube and live TV... The worst tv I've had in 20 years!!!
I've had 2 of these tv's, which are supposed to be the best on the market, but they are riddled with issues. My latest A95L has rebooted itself at least a dozen times in the last week or so. It's so embarrassing when all the family are around to watch the match, and it switches itself off!! Secondly, the small remote lights up but doesn't work. This has been like this since the remote update by Sony. The third issue is when it does decide to stay switched on, there is an extremely strange sound interference, which even happens after the tv is switched off?! Also, there are compatability issues with the vs Sky Q box, so if you have a v2 Sky box, you will have issues with no picture being displayed. You will need the latest v3 box. I found out this information on the owners' forums, and after 3 sky appointments, they finally sourced me to the correct sky box that actually works on this poor TV. The inconvenience this has caused by me having to book time off work for multiple deliveries and sky visits is totally unacceptable. Don't get me started on the Richer sounds BJS delivery service!!!! I couldn't possibly put on here what happened at my property. DO NOT BUT THIS TV and save yourself time, money and the stress!!!!

The picture quality is absolutely phenomenal. I have never seen a TV as bright as this.
Unfortunately the TV is currently incompatible with Freeview Play, IPlayer, the major sports box office apps and any terrestrial TV app in the UK which makes the tv useless for my own requirements in connecting it via WiFi only. I appreciate I may well be in the minority with this but it is still extremely frustrating having to mirror apps off a phone at low resolution after spending this much on a TV.
It’s not as intuitive to use as an Apple device and their customer service’s response to above was poor. They ignored one of my questions altogether.
There is a box titled “writing guidelines” obscuring this text box as I type this so apologies if it is incoherent.
The product is almost brilliant. It does what you’d think were the difficult parts of designing a TV so well but Sony lets itself down on some of the basics.

Been searching for oled as I was replacing my 2020 panasonic led TV. Sony not only has best oled panel (extremely bright) which comes in pair with best picture processing - this is a highest level of consumer TV you can buy right now.

Great picture, but…
This is an outstanding Tv, it often makes a HD picture look UHD the detailing is that good. However if you are outputting the sound to an amp the lipsyc is awful and difficult to rectify at this moment in time February 2024.
Sony is known for taking there time to release updates and this gets even more tiresome as time goes by compared with companies like LG who sort issues out sometimes within just a few weeks.
It’s a shame as this possibly is the best consumer tv ever made for picture quality.
I’m sure sony will eventually sort this out, it’s just a matter of when

Could be a great TV but yet to find out.
I have had a few Sony products from Walkman, disc-man , minidisc, all the PlayStations 1 - 5, computer monitors, camera, even bought products purely on the fact they used Sony parts and chips I’ve had several TV’s from the curved, 3D and just normal run of the mill TV’s in the past and none like this, to say I was disappointed would be a lie, on my 5th one now due to faults.
1st TV lip sync issues
2nd TV lip syncing issues and no Dolby Vision, volume drops
3rd TV red light flashing 4 times means
fault with power and a Purple and Black screen
4th looks to be a open box as parts missing and no sticker or covers
5th waiting for delivery have to phone back tomorrow 26th Nov for delivery date
I bought the Sony HT -a7000 with the Sony - RS5 knowing i be getting the A95L when it comes available as was sure to get the A95K or A95L thinking the newer models L would be better went with that.
I haven’t had the chance to see how the surround sound works as the speakers have also not been working correctly since date of purchase and away for repair.
So overall all not a good experience with the Sony products as on my 2nd UBP-X800m2 Blu-ray player.
If I knew of all these issues I would have waited till Sony releases a firmware update or something similar to sort the problems out or I wouldn’t have bought these Sony products my last Sony was faultless and thought I would upgrade it wish I didn’t now.
I have been on the phone with Sony for over 3 hours to be told “it’s the sound bar, ok it’s a Sony soundbar, oh it won’t be that? It’s the Blu-ray player that’s also Sony oh it won’t be that” can’t you take the Sony products to the post office? No the post office who’s paying for that if something happens oh good point”
And
4 going on 5 visits from an engineer who was told not to take the TV only take the soundbar for repair.
And
Numerous of phone calls to retailer for nobody to fix the problem.
So overall all not a good experience and didn’t think Sony would be like this.

Excellent TV
I've had this TV now for 4 months and the price was definitely worth it. The picture is beautiful and the sound quality is great for just a television even while mounted. Watching movies through Bravia core is amazing especially if you a dolby atmos capable soundbar/ sound system. It also has some great features when you connect your PS5. The games look stunning and smooth. The only issue I've had is that it will sometimes disconnect from the wifi and it won't reconnect unless you restart the TV by unplugging from power (solution that works for me).

Great picture but not bug free
I’ve had the TV a couple of weeks and as far as picture quality and sound quality goes it’s fantastic and I love it. It would be a five star review except for a cities of issues I’ve had. Despite trying absolutely everything including there different external hard drives or SSD’s it refuses to recognise an external drive. Sony support have been unable to provide a solution. This is not a critical issue as I can record on my virgin box but the TV has the facility and I think it’s disappointing it current work considering the cost of the unit. I had a minor problem with the Bluetooth remote (there are two remotes). This turned out to be just a case of replacing the batteries Sony had included with new ones. C’ mon Sony. This is not good enough.

Took the plunge after doing some research
Did some research on this TV and also visited some local retailers that stock it to view in person and took the plunge. Went from a 2018 Flagship LED TV which I liked but this Sony blew it away for picture quality and contrast. Also paired it up to the PS5 with VRR and 120Hz and games just pop like nothing before. Also paired it to a very high end Blue Ray player that supports Dolby Atmos and Vision, I can tell you that watching Dune on this TV just blew me away. The detail in some scenes is just amazing.

Great tv. Even with few flaws
I've had this TV since launch. All though this is my second one first had a few problems whitch got replaced. There a few bug with the tv like inputs moving on main page. There only been 2 2.1 hdmi port and one is e-arc so leaves you with one.
Apart from that the tv is fantastic great, great picture. The brightness is really bright. Some great features. Google work well most of the time.
Would I recommend it yes. Why? Great picture best in blind test hear in UK and America. They are loads features that are unique. And loads that aren't.

Looking for Multi Screen or Screen Sizing?
Bought mine in September 2023. I decided on this one, because it is suppose to have Multi screen and screen sizing (for gaming). All my TV's (4 currently) and Sound systems are Sony. Contacted Sony about it (that's an ordeal by itself) 4 times and still nothing. There has not been an Firmware update since 11-27-2023. Still being advertised to have Multi screen and screen sizing (for gaming). So basically Sony is lying. This is what is referred to as False Advertisement. While the A95L is a nice TV (TV of the year even), I bought it because of the Multi screen and screen sizing. I already own the A80K and A90K. Had I known this, I would not have spend $3700. Definitely put a dent in our relationship. The low rating is to draw attention to what I consider a major problem with Sony. Don't lie to your customers.

Just the Best TV
I’ve been a Sony customer for years but recent purchases have moved the bar higher. 2 years ago I purchased 2 55” A95J TVs and they are very good. This year I bought a 55” and 65” A95L and they are just superb. Yes, I watched a lot of YouTube video reviews that compared LG and Samsung and later with the Sony. I would have been satisfied with picture on any of them but the Sony google TV interface is just more user friendly. Any regrets - NONE. Sony remains my favorite TV for more than 25 years and counting.

I purchased a 65 inch Bravia QD – OLED TV just before Christmas. I’ve had a number of high-quality TVs including a prior OLED Sony. This new one is beyond what I had ever expected. The picture, especially the up, converting creates almost a 4K effect for every content. The sharpness, clarity and brightness are literally off the charts. I enjoy watching anything on this TV and would very highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality product from Sony. They are expensive, but in my opinion worth every penny.

Poor sound
A very beautiful TV set. You won't find a better picture out there. The sound is very very difficult to set up. I actually had to return the first set I had because when I played the movie The fifth Element there was a fair distortion and I thought it was the TV set. When the second TV came I had the same distortion severe. Very disappointing where TV of this caliber. I did a little investigating and apparently the soundtrack in that particular movie The dobie is flawed. I'm not sure if it's true or not. But it might be the problem. But I also noticed on many other programs. High distortion at high volume levels The TV can't handle it. Apparently Sony solution is it give them another $1,000 for a sound bar. I think a TV of this caliber and price should be close to flawless. I had a Panasonic before I bought it in 2011 and the sound was perfect. Anyway thank you

Know problem with USB port
I got this the day it came out. Immediately realized it recognizes USB and files, but cannot play any of the files. Spent five days with 3 different levels of support. They say this is a known issue it might or might not be fixed with software update. We’re not let me return it because it is a software issue not a hardware issue, and had no solutions besides downloading a third-party app. Screensaver comes on every 15 minutes with the app. Also, when you turn the TV off, it’ll turn itself back on. This will be the last Sony TV I buy. Every tv I’ve owned previously has been Sony. Very disappointed. I now use my older model as my main TV. Wast of money.

Upgraded from my A90J after 3 years and was looking forward to the better specular highlights and overall brightness. Also the ability to have Dolby Vision gaming on my Series X. Unfortunate that there's still only two 2.1 ports and one of them is the eArc so I can't have my receiver, PS5 and Series X all hooked up at the same time. Biggest complaint is that Dolby Vision no longer works on my Panasonic UB820 4K Blu-ray player

I bought this tv about 3 weeks ago and, as expected, I’m very pleased by the brightness and clarity especially while using HDR. Outshines all other smart TVs I’ve seen. Unfortunately, it’s still is a bit buggy and requires a certain depth of knowledge and planning regarding compatibility with external devices. It’s definitely not a plug and play device for any and all configurations.

I took my time updating from my Sony x900h and I'm glad I did. Did a lot of research on TV's and looked them over, and I went with the A95L and wow that was a good decision. This thing is awesome and has a spectacular picture.

Purchased the TV around Oct/2023. So far so good. No matter the content, the picture is great. I find the factory settings/calibration will not disappoint. All the positive reviews are accurate. Go to a show room dealer and see for yourself. Definitely recommend!

Something good, something less good
The picture is excellent and the control is excellent. The installed antenna doesn't work at all. When I set the TV up I got words saying the antenna didn't receive the signal. Some of my neighbors use antennas successfully so I don't understand why my sophisticated TV does not. The recommendation to not touch the screen made mounting the TV rmore difficult. My last Sony used gorilla glass and this always made me feel safe.

Great TV with minor flaws, hopefully fixable
This is an amazing TV it's picture is simply beautiful.
However there are a few issues with audio passthrough, which usually require you to turn off eARC, then back on, sometimes having to go all the way through the menu to get to the restart tv option, since powering off for some reason doesn't truly power off but rather puts in stand-by.
The remote also sometimes stops working right after you turn on the TV with it, and wont work until you remove and re-insert the batteries. Re-pairing the remote doesn't seem to fix this either; but they are software updatable so hopefully this is fixed soon.
Screen saver time is fixed, and returns to the home screen on return which is a pain.

Poor quality control, screen scuffs from factory
Long time Sony consumer (purchased the first XBR 20" TV in 1985 from Sony Japan)
Recently had two brand new 65" A95L (Serial #3004191 & 3003876) delivered via BestBuy (located in Toronto Canada), the screens both have permanent scuffs on the screen's AR coating right along the edge where the styrofoam goes, the damage is direct from the factory and not caused by the consumer. Visible during daylight, I've attached a closeup for you all to see. A real shame considering the premium price we pay. There also numerous reports that the 2022 year A95K suffers from the same issue but Sony is being cavalier and arrogant about fixing it.
If any executive or senior manager at Sony is reading this and has the ability and willingness to make a positive difference, instruct your Mexico factory and/or Samsung QD-OLED panel supplier to start using peel-able screen protectors like many of your customers have asked in the past, we would gladly pay a few extra dollars to not have to go through the headache of multiple returns and exchanges until we get a clean panel. This is not an isolated incident nor within spec, you can read the reviews online.
Akio Morita would be ashamed of the low level of quality coming from your factory in Mexico on your A95 Master Series "flagship" TV. Please actually do something to fix it. Until then, these 2 units have gone back to the distributor and we are waiting for the next shipment.

You can't turn off the Soap Opera Effect, not completely. Sony Tech support didn't help, neither did engineering. Dolby Vision is giant fail. The sony A1E was brilliant. The A95L is giant step backwards.

Excellent TV and brilliant picture
I bought this TV more than one months ago. Initially all oK but after one week there was glitches in sounds and control. Never experienced this with sony before. I contacted the shop who advised me to contact Sony help line. A bit of delay in responding. I was advised to reset the TV and see if that will help which it did not. Finally after several email, they offered to repair the TV which I refused as the TV showed problem within a week of purchase.
They forwarded me to the retailer who asked for all the previous communication with sony. Finally , I had to pack the TV in the original box and send it back then I received a new TV. This one is a treat. works perfectly. The quality of pictures are excellent.
I think it was a bad luck with the first one, otherwise the TV is excellent.
I feel that the operating system and cntrol is not very user friendly but it can be personnal opinion.

Hands down the worst purchase I’ve ever made
Let me start by saying the picture quality of the TV is top notch. It may very well be the best there is.
However, I have two major issues.
1. The audio has semi frequent pops and crackling. I have contacted support and they said they have no solutions for it. If you google it, many other people have had this same issue for the last year. Extremely concerning they haven’t found a solution yet and they expect you to just deal with it. The $500 TCL tv I had before had better audio than this.
2. Customer service and delivery of the tv was a nightmare. I didn’t get my TV for 2 weeks after purchasing even though it was advertised as arriving 2 days after I ordered. They have a third party shipping company deliver it, and that company hired ANOTHER 3rd party company deliver it. That “4th party” company would only deliver M-F between 11-2, and had zero flexibility. I spent hours daily on chat or call with support and they kept saying they’d call me the next day because it has to go to their superior who I cannot contact directly. They gave me the runaround again and again. Ultimately I had to take a day off work to get the TV otherwise they were going to send it back to Sony.

Not a good TV to watch sports
I am incredibly disappointed with this purchase. The brightness while watching sports does not stay bright. I have tried all recommendations but nothing appears to address the issue. In doing research online, it appears to be a common issue.
If you like watching football, or sports in general, I highly recommend that you do not purchase this TV.

Stunning Picture
3 weeks into owning, I can definitely say that getting is even better than the expectation.
The clarity coupled with the brightness makes this OLED, the real deal!!
The only recommendation that I have is regarding the remote. I love the fact that it's backlit which makes channel changing at night easy. However, I would like the remote to a little larger. The buttons are really close to each other. Otherwise, this tv is 5 + stars.

Exceeds expectations
I admit that I am a Sony fan. I think that Sony produces the best TV going. I recently purchased a XR65A95L. The picture is as clear and colorful as I expected, but what I didn’t expect was the sound. It’s fantastic. The TV is not located in a big room, 16x18, but the sound fills the room. I am hearing impaired, but despite this, I have no issues listening to any program. It’s a terrific product….love it.

Awesome
I'm still cringing at the price but at the end of the day, it was worth it. The image detail and color makes everything appear 3 dimensional and the processor makes everything pop. The sound is the best I've heard without a soundbar (you really don't need one). I recommend the 65 inch model which is the perfect size. Watched the Superbowl and everything blew me away. Try Top Gun with this TV and you'll forget the price. Last Sony TV I had was the Trinitron so it's good to be back home. Thank you Sony!

Great Picture Poor Google OS
While the picture is exceptional, the Google Operating system is lacking. Turning off the TV can be confusing. Pushing the remotes off button brings up "restart or close," neither of which turns the TV off. After a few minutes, the on/off indicator light may or may not turn off leaving one wondering if the TV is on or off.

Awesome 4K TV
I purchased the A95L for the Picture Quality, Upscaling and Sound. The A95L does not disappoint. The picture quality of 4K and 4K HDR are exceptional. My cable channels look better than ever thanks to the state of the art upscaling. The antenna feed of all my local channels (up to 60 miles) are great too. I have several other TVs and one thing you notice is that other TVs use brightness as their picture enhancer, where SONY presents the picture in an expected realistic image. Great color depiction, facial tones and black levels that tend to give the picture that 3D look. The sound of the A95L is just what I was looking for. Good enough not to need a soundbar and the projection of voices above the background sound is just perfect. I really like the Google TV. The A95L is the smartest TV I have ever owned. Just sit back and tell it what you want to view. Highly recommend.

Best TV in 2023
Started shopping for a TV in Jan 23, as it has been at least 6 years since the last TV was broke. I live in Japan, So Japanese products are preferred due to local service. Sony Bravia A95L was announced a few months later, so I decided to wait. In October it was released in the USA and won Value Electronics Shootout as best TV. Then won again in Germany as best gaming TV. Finally won in the UK in HDTV double blind test as best TV a crown which has yet to be beat. I was hoping for the XRJ (Japan) A95L to be released but it never happened. I bought my TV at the military post exchange for $2899 and tax free. I got a great deal and a total 5-year warranty combined with Sony one year warranty. I am using the STR AZ3000ES receiver which is the solution to only two 2.1 HDMI ports. Now I have a 6.2.6 Dolby Atmos system all pure Sony products. I found Sony Japan has a service contract with USA product sold in Japan, so this is comforting. Picture is beautiful, and I can not wait to watch some 4K Blu Ray. The Sony Japan BDZ-FBT6100 6TB 4k Blu Ray recorder will solve my local NHK 4K broadcast TV problems. Zone two HDMI cable will lead to Sony XRJ48-A90K and a HTG700 soundbar for the master bedroom. Update all firmware, and so far no issues.

Stunning picture quality, flaws in the software.
I reviewed this TV when I first got it but after 3 weeks of use I feel the need to downgrade the review. There’s no doubting the picture quality, it’s simply stunning. However the software can let the TV down.
Dolby vision does not work correctly, an issue that is well documented by the main TV reviewers on YouTube. Also sometimes lip sync can be out using the internal TV apps such as Disney and Netflix requiring you to stop the program/film and start it again.
However my biggest gripe is that Disney Plus on the TV app does not have Dolby Atmos. I have spoken to Disney and they’re blaming Sony, and I have spoken to Sony and they blame Disney. Either way they just need to come together and sort it out as it’s not good when you’re paying a premium for the subscription and you’ve paid a huge premium for the TV.
I personally don’t know how it can be a Disney issue when Atmos works on the Sky Q and Apple TV Disney App, and also Atmos works on the Disney App on the predecessor, I.e. the A95K but I’m no tech expert so can’t say for sure.

I have been using my TV for a couple of weeks now and I love it the picture is absolutely stunning and when you watch a. HDR/ IMAX picture it will blow your socks off. My only criticism at the moment is setting up the satellite tuners for Freesat, I don't use terrestrial TV and I use Freesat, my previous TV when you ran through set up it gave option for Freesat channels which was great, as of yet I haven't found an option for this so I am going through manually a bit tedious but I will get there and everything else makes it worthwhile. All the extras make this the best TV you could purchase. Well done Sony
