Would have been good
received these buds last month and had trouble connecting the charging cable ,finally I was able to connect it and charge them. They seemed to work good until the next time I tried to charge them they would not charge. I then noticed the end of the cable was damaged and caused damage to the charging port on the case and that was why I had trouble connecting it the first time. It appeared something was not right inside the cable tip that goes into the charging port on the case. I contacted Sony for warranty service but was told they do not cover physical damage under warranty. I agree that physical should not be covered but the charger cable that came with it was the fault not mine. Now I am out $160 and have a pair of dead linkbuds that I can not use.

Just ok
The initial setup was fairly easy as long as you read the directions but I disliked that you need to take out both buds in order to connect. The sound was also not great and sounded muffled.

The buds I’ve been missing my whole life
I have had many pairs of buds over the years, and didn’t realize how inferior they were until I tried the Sony linkbuds S. First off, the setup process was very easy to do, I downloaded the app, and it walked me through in the matter of a minute or 2. There are 4 different sizes of the ear plugs, so you can get the right fit. Once I had them setup, and turned some music on, I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the sound. The absolute best feature is the noise cancelling. I listen to music at work, and it is pretty loud in our building. I put the buds in, and you could still hear background noise, at first…..after 2 seconds, the noise cancelling kicked in, and it all went away. The app is really helpful with learning all of the different features on the ear buds. Hopefully I will enjoy these amazing ear buds for years to come.

Good quality sound
This is my first pair of wireless ear buds! These are comfortable, stay in the ear, have very good cancelation, excellent voice calls, great sound quality. The case is small enough to keep in you purse or pocket so u can take them with you anywhere u go.

Great Sound and Easy Pairing
I've had a lot of earbuds, pods or other forms of music generation for over and in ear throughout the years. These are some of the best I've had. The fit is wonderful. I'm confident going out and hitting the trails without concerns of them falling out. The noise cancellation is good when on planes to allow for focus without being completely oblivious to what's happening in the world. And the balance of bass, mids and highs is just right. Overall great pair of earbuds especially for the price

Truly Noise Cancelling!
These Sony LinkBuds S bluetooth earbuds are exactly what I was looking for. I've tried several other brands that claim to be noise-cancelling and they fell short. These are TRULY noise-cancelling. Superb quality of sound and so many cool features! I also seem to have a hard time finding earbuds that work for my narrow ear canals, but since these are soft and adjustable, they work perfectly for me. So far, the best wireless option I've found!

They shut off on their own, and then back on
I can't say that I am impressed with the Sony LinkBuds S. Though the sound is crystal clear, the Bluetooth connection gets cut causing the audio to come out of the phone speaker without you realizing it. The sensors take some getting used to. Why buttons can't be used now is beyond me, but these ear buds are mid level compared to other Sony ones I have.

Sound quality a step above the others
I previously had the airpod pros and while those are great in the apple ecosystem, I value sound quality the most and these blow them out of the water. Honestly its amazing how great the vocals are and how in tune the bass is. Not overwhelming at all. The earbuds stay in fine when i run so no issues there either. If you want quality over ease of use, these are the buds to get by far.

Sound Size and comfort
I spent alot of time figuring out what model I wanted, I was going to get the wf-1000xm4, but the size really was the deal breaker for me.
The linkbuds s sound awesome right out of the box but lots of tuning options. The app is great.
And the case is so compact that you really can't appreciate it until you actually see them.
I wanted something I could also lay down with these are a great fit for that I have tried them while laying down and no issues.
The touch controls work great. The size difference from the wf-1000xm4 is definitely worth a few less features.
I don't feel like I sacrificed anything.

USED TO BE the best headphones I ever had.
Bought these 6mo. Ago for $150 and at the time I'd have paid twice that for the sound and functionality that these buds came with. But unfortunately it ended when one day out of the blue the ambient AND noise cancel mode decided it was a good idea to make it sound like I was permanently in the emergency row directly next to the engines of a 747... the buds still work...ish but the bass (no matter how low the volume, eq, ect. Are turned ) is very washed out and over powering for no reason. I was heartbroken and honestly don't want to try another pair of sony's seeing such a high pricetag for a short lived product.

I bought these at wal-mart , super light and slips right on in my ear, feels like there's nothing at all. setting up the app for the earbuds took a few minutes, but sound is phenomenal. They are a small to grip with my fingers, but these I want to use around the house. touch controls will take a bit of time to get used to but in time will manage.

Disappointed in lifespan of Sony Linkbud S earbuds
These were decent earbuds for about a year and a half. The audio quality and microphone for calls was good. I chose these for the price and because they're smaller than a lot of other options (my ears are small). I had connection issues occasionally, but I was able to look past this for the price. However, 18 months in, they have suffered Sony's inevitable and premature earbud battery failure. The left bud will not fully charge and only lasts about 20 minutes. Because they were past the one year warranty, Sony offered me nothing. It's ridiculous that consumers are expected to invest in a new product every 18 months. Don't buy these -- it's a waste of money. Sony, please consider standing by your product and extending the warranty.

Light & Great Fit - Made me a believer in earbuds!
I traditionally had not been an "earbuds" person. I often found them uncomfortable or poorly fitting, and as such hadn't used them in a long time, opting for over-the-ear style.
However, the LinkBuds S changed my perspective on buds, and it all comes down to how light they are and how easily they go into your ear. Sony nailed it in this regard, and the comfort has removed my stigma on earbuds.
Sound quality is great, but the standout feature for me is the Adaptive Sound Control for noise cancelling and ambient sound. The Headphones Connect app has a lot of features and settings adjustments to manipulate noise cancelling behavior based on what you're doing and where you are - and considering the mobility of the LinkBuds S, I found this to be a killer feature.

Sound that gives you goosebumps!
These earbuds give the type of sounds that brings you goosebumps. I many times find myself feeling fully emersed in a concert. The sound is crisp, clear, and powerful. I love that the buds come with four sets of tips and the software is able to detect your perfect fit. They are so comfortable and do not slip on me in the way that other brands have tended to do. While I do appreciate that speaking will pause the music, I quickly had to turn this off because I’m a sing along type of gal. I love that Ambient Sound is an option because this day in age, I am always wanting to be aware of my surroundings in public. Ambient sound lets outside noise filter in. Both earbuds are fully customizable with controls. The user is able to choose which ear and how many taps accomplish many things like skipping songs or pausing the music. They are great for cell phone calls. They are great for podcasts. I simply love them and have recommended them to so much of my family and friends.

Some Issues
I’ve had these for 6 months now after I lost one of my previous headphones I had had for 4 years. Overall I think they’re a great pair of headphones but they do have a few issues. I’ll start with the pros.
Pros:
Super lightweight and great for tiny ears
Awesome sound quality for such small buds
Great active noise canceling/noise filtering
Charges fast
Lightweight and compact case
Cons:
Die relatively quickly, and case holds just enough juice to get through a day
Case is pretty flimsy and slippery
Occasional pairing issues when pairing more than one device
My biggest issue: occasionally there are sound glitches of loud and violent static with no warning and no way to terminate without restarting the earbuds.
Generally I adore these headphones, but the cons are real drawbacks. They are much smaller, lighter, and more comfortable than air pods, and I prefer their functionality. If these issues could be resolved they’d honestly be perfect. I enjoy the customization allowed by the app and the compatibility with various audio apps.

Nice but..
Bought these in 2022 and they were nice but they only lasted me a year before the battery started acting up, the app would show 100% charge but they would die after 5 songs, the right ear bud overheats when it's charging. I gave up on them but then I thought the warranty was 2 years and I could get help but I was wrong the warranty for these is only a year so Sony was unable to help. Only one year of use is not worth the price

Best sounding Sony TWS in past couple of years
Having owned multiple Sony products over the years I would say the Linkbuds S is a throwback signature wise in that it is much more balanced sounding versus being dark and overly bass heavy. So anyone who has switched away from Sony because of this tuning tendency might just love these. Similarly anyone who enjoys that darker bassy signature will probably want to just stick with the WF-1000XM4 assuming they fit your ears comfortably.
Speaking of comfort, Sony has nailed this on the head, making the most comfortable TWS I have tried to date, better than their own older products, Technics, Samsung, Sennheiser, and others. This is the first TWS I have owned where I can literally forget I am wearing them. But I do wish Sony had included the L size hybrid tips in their kit for just a bit more choices in fit. Fortunately I had some from previous Sony products so was able use those. But am extremely happy to see REAL Sony hybrid tips in this package, they are one of Sony's best inventions in my opinion.
Unfortunately this comfort comes at the cost of battery life which semi defeats Sony's idea of not having to remove the IEM through use of all their technology. I listen at least than 50% volume most of the time and when using the dynamic and site based features for ANC and Ambient modes I get right around 5hrs of use. It's OK but just barely...
The Adaptive controls work pretty well and just take some time to adjust to your needs versus just accepting the defaults. For me this meant setting Walking to turn off Ambient and ANC as I live in a windy area and this setting gives the best experience as it eliminates most wind issues.
The ANC is highly effective being slightly better than the WF-1000XM3 which is my last TWS from Sony. But they need to give the ability to adjust the ANC like that model or at least give 1 setting called Wind reduction if they want to keep a larger gap between the flagship model and this model. Wind reduction is a must if they want to keep their competitive advantage.
Ambient mode on the other hand is pretty much perfect! I love the adjustability. It allows me to set locations such as at home or the office with a low amount of ambient sound so I can hear when asked a question and then as soon as I start speaking the speak to talk feature kicks in allowing me to communicate with my family or co-workers.
I can live without wireless charging to help seperate this model from the flagship and lower its cost, but it does make this model less competitive with other TWS in its price range. Other than the lack of wireless. Charging I love the size of the case and it's feel.
Sony really needs to allow for more customization on their controls, they lag way behind the competition and it is very close to being a deal breaker for me. There is NO EXCUSE not allowing people to have 4 functions on the left earbud instead of just 2. I should be able to control all aspects of my experience from the buds. Everyone else can do it, so I am pretty Sony is smart enough to do it as well. FIX you product Sony!
Between the lack customization on controls and the close to below battery life I can't give this TWS more than a 4 to 4.5/5 (had to settle on 4 in interface) if they fix the controls these are a hard 4.5/5 for me, coming darn close to perfection. I am extremely happy with the tuning, it is such a nice return back to an audiophile oriented sound.

Excellent Quality
I LOVE these ear buds. They have a good fit so you can still tell they are in but they don't feel bulky or uncomfortable. The connection is strong even when wandering a bit further from my phone than my other earbuds do. They also hold a charge really well! I would highly recommend these.

Oh wow!! These Sony LinkBuds are extraordinary. The sound is so clear. It's immersive, spectacular. The quality is simply the best. I love them. My son, a very particular teenager, loves them, too. Better than awesome
I love these earbuds! They are fantastic in almost every single way. First, they fit amazing, are super light and super comfortable. You barely even notice they are there and can wear them all day long. Second, they pair super fast and are connected in seconds. Now for the sound. Straight out of the box, connected and everything sounds amazing. Then you try the 360 sound and it's 1000x better. I can't say enough about these earbuds. Only drawback is the limited number of apps you can use the enhanced sound with. Expand those platforms and these earbuds are unstoppable. Highly recommend.

Best in-ear earbuds I have ever used!
Primarily, my difficulties (over many years, 20 yrs or so) have been due to my narrow ear canals. These are the first, in about 2 decades, that I have been more than pleased with.

High quality sound I would say comparable to my beats. Clean black finish you can hear all the voice is clear and the base is perfect also has a noise canceling feature so I can take my phone calls I would rate these a 10 out of 10 for quality and price

Awesome set of earbuds
I have the AirPods Pro, and I can say that this does compete with them a lot. For one, the bass is MUCH better than the Pros. The build quality is very impressive, and if you download the official companion Sony app you can customize the sound of these earbuds like crazy. Would totally recommend this to anyone!

SO glad I got these!
I'm probably one of the last to get on the bud bandwagon. I haven't really had a need for ear buds enough for the cost. But, since I started working from home for good, I have been in need of something that would let me hear meetings, etc, but still be able to hear what's going on around the house. I'm a GenXer, so Sony has always been by my side and a trusted name in sound, especially when it comes to headphones. Going with the LinkBuds was a no-brainer for me. These are lightweight, feel good in my ears, and give me amazing sound while letting me hear the phone ring or someone knock on the door. I was honestly surprised as well, when I initially connected them to my phone, that I got a message from Alexa that they were matched with it as well, and I could tell her to play something to the buds. BONUS! (BTW, easiest startup I've experienced) I am really glad I got these and would highly recommend them.

Great features
I bought the LinkBuds S a month ago so happy I did. If your looking for an absolutely great product, value, look no further. These are outstanding. Easy to put into the ear, comfortable enough to use all day. Great quality
. The sound and clarity is AMAZING. Sound , voices, come in so much clearer. Also the design is very well thought. 1 big plus Alexa , wow I use my phone and tablets on a daily bases, theses are great. Wireless everywhere I go. The bass isn't to much for the ear buds , especially at full volume. And these adjust to sound. (Noise suppression. ) The battery life is exceptional.

Good Audio, ANC, but with a Fatal Flaw
I have no qualms about the sound quality, ANC, and the dual connectivity feature of the LinkBuds S. Lately, however, despite being in the case and closed, the LinkBuds S connect to my devices randomly. This is inconvenient when listening to music via bluetooth on other devices, particularly while driving.
FYI the firmware version I'm currently running is 3.0.5.

Most comfortable Sony earbuds I ever had
I did not expect much from the LinkBuds S and thought they would be a downgrade from my Sony XM4 earbuds but I was so wrong. I have been going back and forth between the two pairs these past few days and cannot find a clear winner. I really love my XM4, the sounds is absolutely awesome and the noise cancelling is top notch but the main issue is that they are quite big and not always comfortable to wear after a few hours of use. The LinkBuds S on the other hand are hands down the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used. The quality is so nice, from the case to the buds, everything feels so nice. I spent almost all day today listening to the LinkBuds S and after hours in my ears, they still feel nice and comfortable. The Linkbuds S look nicer in my opinion, feel very good in the ear and are more discrete.
The XM4 is a clear winner when it comes to noise cancelling but the new LinkBuds S is the winner when it comes to comfort and quality.
Although I found the sound not as perfect as my XM4 which has a perfect sound in my opinion because I prefer deep bass, some people may prefer the LinkBuds S because of the more natural sound out of the box.
All in all, I really enjoy listening to my new Linkbuds S and because they are so comfortable to wear, are nicely built and the sound is close to perfect, they are getting a 5 stars rating from me.

Great earbuds
These earbuds are fantastic! They are small and sleek, but they sound amazing, and they help drown the noise around me when I wear them. The different silicone tips are great, and they have a size to fit all ears. They use a c charger which is great for travel because my husband's phone uses the same cable. The little case they come in is great for storage, and I love that they charge the earbuds too.

Amazing earbuds!

Earbuds work great, but fall out of pocket
The sound quality and battery life were wonderful. The only issue with this product is that they easily fall out of your pocket due to the smooth surface and rounded corners of the case. The result, I enjoyed the earbuds while I had them, but somewhere they feel out of my pocket and are gone.

Small , great sound , goof bass
I bought this because of how small they are and how much sound I get from these. I work overnights and I am very active and I've had other headphones that fall out of me ears but these don't ! I did read other reviews about these headphones and I always wish headphones had more bass but the bass are fine with these headphones.

As soon as I got them first was ok next they kept dropping off from my phone when I was on a important phone call they take forever to hook up to my phone or any phone I don't see how that Sony can put such crap out I like Sony but I will never buy earbuds from them again
