Absolutely love the WF-1000XM5
These are some of the best sounding ear buds I have used, they’re comfortable and hold a very long charge when in use. I have to play with them a bit more to find out all of its features but as of right now I’m very happy with the product.

Best Overall Noise Cancellation
I’ve had these headphones for almost a month and I’ll take them over the Airpods Pro and I even have an iPhone. Don’t get me wrong the Airpods Pro hold up but Sony headphones have a better overall performance & quality into the headphones. Guides you to what’s the best suggested apps to use for best audio quality for your headphones. I really enjoy them a lot, including the audio automatically adjusting to your surroundings whatever room you go into. Also good for parents for when you’re not tryna have the noise cancellation or for when you are ^_^

Excellent. I love these. Except....
I love these earbuds. Great sound and noise cancelling. But do NOT clean the foam nibs with an Alcohol prep pad because they DISINTEGRATE! Mine were ruined and I need to get more.

Quality doesn't quite measure up to Apple's
I bought these to replace my 1st gen airpods pro since i had heard the sound quality was better than Apple's. While the sound was good (and i do like the ability to change EQ) a lot of the little things do not measure up. The case feels flimsy and breakable. Switching between paired devices is rather clunky. bluetooth connectivity isn't very good, it was getting spotty while i was walking with my phone in my hand. I will say i like the ability to change the volume from the buds themselves, but overall i expected better from this product.

Good Sound Quality BUT Bad Call Microphone
I bought my headhphones a few months ago. The sound quality is great, but the microphone for phone calls is very bad. Everyone I talk to on a call complains that I sound very muffled and they cannot hear what I'm saying. Does not matter if I'm in a totally quite room or in a busy area. Unfortunately they are unusable for phone calls which for the price of the headphone is unacceptable.

I don't give out 5 Stars But ..
Theses are as close to 5 Stars as I've experienced so I'm giving them 5 Stars ????? ..
Yes $300 is a bit pricey for earbuds for the average consumer, so I'll leave that up to each individual and Sony .. There are cheaper and more expensive options .. but for the comfort, sound , ect I think this is the best Sony has ever done ..
Great Job .. I'm a satisfied customer .. XM5 Earbuds are Fantastic, I recommend them

Best ANC Headphones Out There
These buds are by far the best out there. I had the 1000xm4's and they were great but Sony somehow improves on those because these are absolutely awesome!!! The sound quality is probably the best I've heard. The ANC feature is the best I've heard. Battery life is unbelievable. Sony checked all the boxes here.

Comfort and performance.
I had the last gen XM4 earbuds for about 2 weeks and my impressions of them was that they were great, but I found the foam blended tips to be uncomfortable over time. I also found the fit and weight of the buds to be distracting from using them properly.
With the new XM5 earbuds, I find the comfort far better and from the new contoured shape and lesser weight. The tips are not as annoying, but I still swapped to my crystal Silicone tips for a better and more comfortable fit. Though I admit that doing so does slightly affect the punch of the bass, but I'm willing to sacrifice that for a fit and comfort. The buds now barely feel like they are in my ears, they simply feel natural.
The ANC is great, but not quite as stout as the bose quiet comfort, but for 95% of people it's amazingly close in comparison. I work in a loud office and datacenter and the ANC is absolutely more than enough. Call quality is fine, and all the features I tested worked great. There already was an update when receiving the buds on day 1 so I can tell sony is actively working to ensure the best possible function of the new flagship device.
The sound is amazingly balanced and it's been a pleasure to listen to all types of music from rock to pop to hip hop and classical. They truly handle any music type with ease. They have a fully adjustable EQ for tailoring to your taste.
My favorite thing about these buds is that sony made no compromise, they have almost every feature available on the market and I think they are great for the gym if that's your thing. I still think I wouldn't take them for a run personally as I like buds with hooks for that sort of thing. But if you want an amazing everyday pair of buds that can handle anything with ease, then you've found your earbuds. Cost is the only real downside here. To clarify, the sound quality of the previous xm4 was also amazing and you can easily catch those for a huge discount, so if that is what your after and budget is a factor, those work good too. For me, comfort and fit was my number one concern and of course sound quality as well. These things are jam packed with features and everything works day one from multipoint Bluetooth connections, 360 audio, and anything else they listed above. Welcome to the new standard for your day to day music lover and earbud enthusiast. You can't go wrong with these. And no, sony didn't pay me for this review, just wanted to give everyone an honest opinion from a blue collar worker.

absolutely amazing
these are by far the best earbuds I have ever tried, I fell in love with my previous 1000xm4s and these are by far amazing, the battery life is incredible and so is the noise cancelling, I also love the new sound pressure system from the wf1000xm5 headphones being brought to these.

The AirPods Of Android
I was going to purchase the Samsung Buds 2 Pro as I use a Samsung phone. After discovering that some of the features of the Buds 2 Pro are locked into Samsung's ecosystem (which is not a bad ecosystem per se), I decided to keep looking. The XM5 buds have a sound I believe is better than my wife's AirPods, ANC that is right on the edge of equal, are more comfortable to my ears, and work seamlessly with my Android phone. If I used iOS, I would still buy the XM5, as Apple locks many of its features into its walled garden as well. I want products that work no matter what device I pick up. I would like to see integrations with more services such as YouTube Music, Audible, Apple Music, etc. The case lid is too easy to open for my liking.

Almost perfect headphones
Not sure whether it’s just because apple put in more R&D but their transparency mode is so much better than Sonys but there was a significant improvement over the mark 4s. I also hate how there’s a delay from input to output when using the tap features in both headphones. Been using the xm4 since 2022 and it’s the same inconvenience with the delay with both models so I really wish Sony could come with an update or something to improve on that. Otherwise a flawless headphone, able to compete and beat most over headphones, and just crushes the in ear competition by miles. Super happy with the purchase, will never choose anything besides Sony for quality sound.

Bluetooth connectivity issues
Sound quality is great, however there seems to be some serious connectivity issues. Sound would keep cutting in and out even in close proximity of the connected device. It's also a bit uncomfortable, but once it molds to your ear its good.
