Silence the room
I purchased these to block out the near by conversations. They did not disappoint. I work in a conversation heavy area and can't concentration due to my adhd. These were on point.

Great headphones while they work
This is my 3rd pair of Sony XM HEADPHONES in the last 2 years. 2 xm3 and this xm4. All of them stopped charging. This pair is less than 3 months old and just stopped charging. Wish I would have bought bose now

Faulty Charing Port, Poor Limited Warranty
Bought these in Sep2020. They no longer charge. Contacted Sony, the warranty is only good for a year. You must buy the extended warranty to get service. Was provided a number to call for repair. Labor is $74 plus $17 shipping both ways, doesn't include parts. There seems to be an issue with the charging port/system failing. This unit costs too much for it to only last a little over a year (just after warranty expires) before repair is required for a known issue with the charging port. I have other unit that have only cost $40-$60 that are still working without issue. Come on Sony! Otherwise, the range is great, battery life, sound quality, noise cancelling and multi device use are exceptional. Disappointed that warranty is so limited and product has failed after a little over a year of use. To be fair, I can still use 3.5mm port to listen but the point was to have a wireless unit not to be tethered to a wire. Initially, recommended this to family and friends, now I have to tell them don't make the investment without getting extended warranty, making this a substantial investment for a pair of headphones.

Never been so disappointed with a product
These headphones keep changing configurations on me. I tried everything: resetting, deleting the app, deactivating SIRI, and nothing. Worst product ever

So disappointed
I have owned several noise cancelling headphones, admiting only Bose products up to now: QC15 y QC25. Actually I loved them and was very pleased with them. Thinking on upgrading to a wireless version, I did my research and found quite good comments about WH-1000XM4, Superb bass and ideal for music; I love it, and the BEST noise cancelling headphone nowadays. I do not know if they are defective but with my QCs I weared them at the office and I did not listen my co workers even when they were 3 feet away and speak loudly. With the Sonys I expected to surpass that kind of quality but in the same situation I listen their voices muffled. The only way to avoid it is to crank the volumen which is unacceptable.

Issues after 3 months of usage
I bought this 3 months ago and I’m starting to have issues. The control panel will let me raise and lower volume but won’t let me play or pause videos/music. On top of that the equalizer doesn’t work anymore too, I’ve tried changing it in many ways but it all sounds the same. I rested it, cleaned the sensor softly, tried changing all the setting in the headphone app but to no avail.

Totally worth it
Honestly so worth the hype, I’m the kind of person where when I love I song I want the music to be loud enough where I can’t hear my thoughts and this does that! I’m not we’ll versed when it comes to tech and headphones but these sound amazing and let me nearly get blow my ears out when listening to music so I love them

Terrible Quality
Terrible Quality - DO NOT BUY
Overall, I do not recommend these headphones (ones that break in two weeks). I never write reviews/have never had such a bad customer experience as with these headphones. I opened my headphones on Christmas, and not even two weeks later, the hardware on one side of the headphones completely broke off. I noticed the smallest plastic imperfection upon opening the joint of the headphone; little did I know it would end up breaking off with only a few uses (making the headphones completely unusable). Before breaking, I was happy with these headphones, but considering the price, I am completely disappointed in Sony. I checked Sony's warranty for these headphones, and it claims it covers the "hardware components packaged with the product" within the warranty period (which my purchase is in). Customer service told me only electrical manufacturing errors are covered by warranty and sent me to pay a huge fee to get them repaired. I plan on never purchasing headphones from sony again.

worked great for two months
I bought these to be my goto head set for WFH, and at the beginning these were great. Now is a constant issue with the bluetooth connection, audio dropping, even when when the are connected with the wire, the issue continues. Today on 05/10/21 while on a call I could hear but when I spoke everything went silent and could not really be part of the conversation. This is very upsetting as I'm on the calls most of the day... the only thing that works great is the noise cancelling. Sad to say I'll be returning these and getting a Bose set. I need reliability and Sony is not delivering it.

Annoying Chime
Honestly fantastic headphones, custom to your ears, noise cancelling. Unfortunately when using adaptive sound control, when you start/ stop moving, it will silence what you're listening to and give an annoying chime.
I primarily use these headphones for chores, so im constantly stoping and starting, It is SO annoying and must be addressed.

Sounds great….but….
We bought this for my wife in August 2021. Now less than 3 months these headphones will no longer take a charge, besides that they sound awesome.
