100 percent perfect
I have used this for about 6 months for cloning my hard drives. It works perfectly, much better than using an external SATA housing for the drive. Very well made, high quality, I just love it.

Adapter gets very hot
I bought this adapter a few month back and I haven't been pleased. The adapter gets very hot and that heat transfers to my SSD. This has an impact on my SSDs ability to mount and access files. At this moment it's so hot that I can't navigate the directory tree for the drive and I'm forced to unplug it from the computer and let it cool off.

a must-have for modern systems
I have 2 now, they are indispensable, work excellently with my 1 tb ssds (Samsung 860EVO). yes, adapter gets a little hot, but nothing a little heat sink wouldn't help. use these for boot disks on my Mac, and they have worked perfectly. high-speed and UASP support were a must when I was looking for a replacement for my old SSD adapters.

Great but compatibility with old versions iffy
Have several iterations of this product - the older revision A and B adapters dont work with the latest SSDs, but the latest D revision works flawlessly. If it had a mechanical write protect switch, it would be perfect.

Didn't work with Seagate 1TB drive, win11
Ugh. I bought a 1 terabyte hard drive (Seagate) to clone an old hard drive on to, and this cable to connect it to my windows 11 machine.
Three days of trying to format it later, I gave up and dug up and old drive. It happened to have an old cable connected to it, so I thought, "let's just try this cable, first".
Well my old cable worked. Yours didn't. Plus, my old cable has a blue light that shows me it is working.
Man am I glad i figured that one out.
