The Transition Networks® standalone Ethernet Media Converter provides a connecting interface between 10Base-T ports to 10Base-FL ports to allow for integrating 10 Mbps Ethernet copper segments into fiber optic cabling. It operates at Layer 1, translating to fast data travel speeds ideal for low latency applications. The Transition Networks media converter provides full-duplex capability for concurrent sending and receiving of data, allowing for utilization of the full bandwidth. It accommodates a maximum transfer distance of up to 1.2 miles over a multi-mode ST fiber with a transmission wavelength of 850nm.
It provides administrators with a convenient way of extending network distance for devices that are far apart. Status LEDs like RX (receive) and Link ON helps users monitor the flow of packets and link pulses, simplifying troubleshooting and maintenance. Plug-and-play makes installation easy while preventing businesses from incurring the cost associated with hiring gurus. A compact design allows for deployment in narrow desktop locations or wall mount installation.
