Tripp Lite U222-004 is an inexpensive way to expand the number of available computer USB ports. It's compact design with built-in cable is perfect for travel, fitting easily into a laptop bag pocket. Supports USB 2.0 data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps and is backward compatible with USB 1.1. Bus powered through the computers USB port... no external power required, but includes a Micro B port for an additional connection to the computer in case more power is needed.

The six USB ports that come with the PC is not enough so we're having to keep removing and plugging. Prior to using this hub we've broken off two USB plugs from excessive removing and plugging. Now everything can stay plugged in and we can save the hassle and money spent on equipment.

My favorite part is the ability to wrap cords around the unit for less clutter around my computer and desk.

It's small, packable in that the connector cord wraps around the body which has a few grooved sections to secure the endpiece, and easy to use. Connect & use. Fast transfers and retrievals.

It is small so it is easy to store and keep out of the way while in use. I bought this because my laptop didn't have enough USB ports and I was having to switch out my mouse's usb and insert my printer's usb when I had to use my printer. Now I can use both at the same time and also have my phone charging! Love that I don't have to worry about having to switch out my usbs every time I need to use a different tool (mouse/printer/phone charger).

Sometimes I do wish the cord was a little longer, especially when I use this with a desktop computer. The USB port can really only hang down and it isn't able to rest on anything.
