Tripp Lite's APS700HF Ultra-Compact DC-to-AC inverter with automatic line-to-battery transfer and integrated charging system serves as an extended run UPS, a standalone power source or an automotive inverter. Supplies up to 700 watts of continuous 120V AC power to 1 AC outlet from any 12V battery or automotive DC source. OverPower inverter output feature provides up to 120% of the continuous output for up to 5 seconds, and DoubleBoost inverter output feature delivers up to 200% of the continuous output for up to 2 seconds, providing the extra power needed to cold start heavy-duty tools and motorized equipment. When AC cable is connected to a live wall socket, commercial power passes through to connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3-stage, 6-amp charging system. In UPS mode, the APS system responds to blackouts and voltage fluctuations with a near instantaneous automatic transfer to battery-derived AC output.

Home Internet, NVR, Kitchen Lighting for 8 hours UPS
Product works and would serve to extend UPS/backup power for hours depending on the size of battery installed and load. Typically, a 100 AHr deep cycle AGM battery would be a great fit. Charges at up to 6A. Absorb to 14.4V and then floats at 13.5V (not adjustable). Routers and IT devices seem to buzz but accept the power. LED lights will flicker a bit and get hot while working on this UPS (square wave output), which is a concern. This PowerVerter seems to be the least expensive Interter/Charger that can be used as a UPS. There are others that offer SineWave output, or Lithium PowerBlocks that support a UPS mode (load on utility power AND charging battery). OK for what I required. Pay more, get more.

I may purchase another one for my RV.
I used this for a small, reasonably priced back-up power system for a few outdoor security lights at work. The included plugs made installation a breeze. I like the LED's that give load and battery state of charge indication. It has performed exactly as it was presented by Tripplite. I will use these again in the future for our other buildings.

Great product!!
Bought the inverter as backup for our sump pump in case of power outage. Arrived fast--easy to set-up--like the compact size--gives us peace of mind when we're not home. Works great!!

Great little Power/Charger when the lights go out.
i bought the 700W PowerVerter APS700HF to use for my pellet stove if the power fails. I tested the unit when I got it and all worked well. I am upgrading the batteries and should be all set when the lights go out, I will still have heat, thanks to the PowerVerter.

R goecommended by Quadra-Fire and Harmon
Quadra-Fire recommends this product as an alternate power source for their Trekker pellet stove. I paired mine with a deep cycle high capacity marine RV battery and expect to get eight hours of run time in the event of a power failure. An item like this is necessary if you own a pellet stove. Check with your manufacturer to ensure this will be compatible with your stove.

Basement Watchdog Replacement
Purchased to replace a Basement Watchdog setup that ruined batteries because of their cheap charger. Works great, exactly what I was looking for!

Good function, but bad noise
This product is excellent, but attention should be paid to how noisy the fan is. An extra few dollars toward a bigger silent fan would be a gamechanger.

Nice product
Did everything I expected of it except run my pellet stove. Not blaming TL for that as the manufacturer recommended it. I had to switch to a sine wave inverter to get it to start up. Going to use the TL on my freezer instead.

I would buy this product again
Appears to be well constructed. We still need to install this equipment to operate a pellet stove when the power goes out.

Great product.
I am using this charger/ inverter as a UPS. I hooked it up to an old car battery to make a UPS that will last a long time. Great product.
