Expand the potential of your DisplayPort computer or notebook by connecting it to a 4K HDMI-enabled television, monitor or projector. This active converter helps you transmit digital audio and 4K video from the DisplayPort 1.2 output on your PC, Mac, Chromebook, MacBook, Microsoft Surface or other compatible computer or tablet. It's an ideal tool for working in high-definition photography, videography or cinematography, as well as streaming video for digital signage in crystal-clear 4K.
This active adapter features a male DP connector and a female HDMI connector, allowing you to continue using your existing HDMI display and HDMI cable (such as Tripp Lite's P568-Series cables) to transmit video signals without the expense of a new DP display.
The P136-06N-HDR-W supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz. It's compatible with HDMI 2.0 standards for carrying HDR signals, which provides a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks. HDCP 2.2 compliance allows you to stream iTunes and Netflix content with no complications. This adapter supports YCBCR 4:4:4 8-bit, YCBCR 4:2:2 8-bit and YCBCR 4:2:0 10-bit chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.
The plug-and-play DisplayPort to HDMI active converter requires no software, drivers or external power. It's compatible with both Single- and Dual-Mode (DP++) DP output and is recommended for use with graphics cards that do not output DP++ signals. The compact unit fits easily into a briefcase or laptop bag for connecting on the go. The P136-06N-HDR-W is backward compatible with 1080p displays and pre-1.2 DisplayPort sources, allowing you to use the adapter with older equipment.

Top of the line adapter!!
I used the 60Hz Active Adapter Cable with HDR to connect an older monitor to my KVM switch so I could use 2 computers and share the same monitors. I'm very happy with this product as it was exactly what I needed!!
