The P566-003-VGA HDMI to VGA Active Converter Cable connects a computer, cable box, Blu-ray player or other HDMI source to the VGA port on a monitor, projector or television. This allows you to use your existing VGA display instead of investing time, effort and money into upgrading to a new HDMI display. The low-profile HD15 connector fits neatly into tight spaces without jamming between the monitor and wall or blocking nearby connections.
Ideal for displaying video on a large monitor or digital sign, this three-foot converter cable supports high-definition video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. No software or drivers are required. If additional power is needed, connect a USB cable (sold separately) between the cable's USB Micro-B port and a USB wall charger or computer port.

I use dual monitors for work and when I upgraded my tower didn't have two VGA plug ins, just HDMI. I was worried I'd have to replace the monitors and I was super relieved to find a substantially less expensive solution! There is no issue with the display and I would definitely purchase again.

Exactly what I needed
With Todays Laptops and Monitors being asked to perform multiple functions I found myself plugging and in plugging throughout the day. With this cable I can have HDMI cable on stand by and ready without the need to unplug any other devices.

The quality of the product is great, although you have to make sure that you don't just pull the ends, but use both hands to plug things in and out. Great quality for the price.

LOVE this product! Just what i wanted and needed!
I am using this converter cable in my office to connect my laptop to another screen. What i had before was cumbersome and problematic because the cable kept falling out of the HDMI slot on my laptop. With this converter cable, the connection is seamless and never falls out. The cord is not too long and not too short. It's just right and keeps my work space free and clear of extra cable floating around on my desk. It is also sits firmly in the HDMI slot on my laptop where i don't have to keep connecting it throughout the day and i never get the blue screen because it doesn't become loose. I am loving it!

I would buy this product again.
I use this product as a split screen for my online learning in 3rd grade. I use it to monitor my students on Blocksi. I am able to teach using Google Meet on my laptop while monitoring the activity on their computers on another screen using this cord.

Doesn't work with my older monitor
I'm waiting to try this out on a newer monitor with a VGA but my older flatscreen doesn't work. It says input not supported. Cable seems well made though.

I would buy this adapter again if I needed one.
I bought this adapter to run a dual monitor setup on my computer, but only had 1 VGA connection. The adapter works great. Have been using it for about 2 weeks now.

A solid cable
It did it's job well, and was very reliable. I think depending on the setup, more than 3 ft. may be necessary, but for the average-sized desk, it's enough to connect a laptop and monitor.
