Tripp Lite P137-06N-DVI converts a Mini-Displayport video out port on a MAC, or other computer, to DVI, allowing attachment of a DVI monitor. Plug the adapter into the computer, and then a standard DVI cable from the adapter to the monitor. Supports video resolutions up to 1920X1200 @ 60Hz, and 1080p @ 60Hz, and is HDCP compliant.
P137-06N-DVI is a Passive adapter, and requires the host computers mini-displayport to be DP++ ( Displayport ++ ), which allows HDMI and DVI signals to be passed through; check your computers documentation for compatibility.

I am using this adapter to connect my laptop to an external monitor. It has worked great so far. I just wish the build quality was a little higher.

It's working as desinged.
This product works great, but I had to buy a DVI cable. My existing adapter has 3 connection types, VGA, HDMI and DVI and it's slightly bigger than the Tripp-Lite adapter. Given that we have so many different machines with different connections, it would be best to design a multi-use adapter. If you already have the DVI cable, then it's a perfect fit for your machine.
