Perfect for your home or office workstation, the TLP808B Protect It! 8-Outlet Home-Computer Surge Protector features a surge suppression rating of 1440 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes.

The TLP808B includes full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G) line surge suppression, as well as technology that filters out disruptive EMI/RFI line noise, preventing interference from disrupting your electronics and inflicting damage or data loss.

Your computer and peripherals plug into eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, including three widely spaced outlets designed to accept bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. Built-in child-safety covers block accidental contact with unused outlets. Integrated 15-amp circuit breaker protects all outlets against dangerous overloads. Lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected equipment. LEDs indicate protection status and that your wall outlet is properly grounded.

The 2.43 m (8-ft.) AC power cord allows the TLP808B to reach distant outlets, while its right-angle NEMA 5-15P plug allows furniture and equipment to be moved flush against the wall to save space in your workstation. Keyhole slots on the bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting options.

I recently purchased 2 of these surge protectors for my 2 computers and their monitors, printers, and external hard drives because our electricity company scheduled several maintenance updates and I did not want to risk if there could be surges during the events. My computers survived from these surge protectors, regardless that there weren't any surges but I was safe anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would absolutely recommend this to anyone I had an inadequate junk power strip, not a power conditioning surge protector. I would plug things into it and it would spark. Since purchasing the Tripp-Lite surge protector I have not had any issues. I feel that the computer equipment is getting a consistent flow of electricity and that puts my mind at ease about the longevity of the electronics plugged into it. I would recommend it to anyone.

This unit is my main power source for my home entertainment system. My main gripe are the mounting brackets on the back of the unit- difficult to mount. Also the unit is quite heavy.

I really like the lights showing it is protecting your items and shows that it is grounded. I love the angle of the cord where it plugs into the wall, it allows you to plug something into the other outlet. I also really like the way the outlets are set up on the surge protector, helps keep everything from being crowded.

I was actually recommended to get this by some family friends. I needed a surge protector to plug my new tv into, as well as when I'm ready to set back up my consoles! I can definitely rest easy knowing all my devices will be protected! I wouldn't hesitate getting this again if I needed to! I might actually buy it for my fiance soon too.

On most power strip / surge protectors, you end up losing functionality of 1 or more plugs if you need to plug in any kind of DC power converter which quite a bit of equipment seems to have these days. It was extremely handy that this outlet stack came with 3 plugs designed specifically for this type of plug. We have only had them in use for a couple of weeks, so don't know how well they protect against surges, but the design is very functional and the 8 ft cord allows for placement away from the outlet. All in all, quite have with the purchase.

Thankfully, I never had a problem with the older units, but with the purchase of a new TV I thought it would be a good idea to make sure it is well protected. I have a friend that recommended I consider this brand as he has used their products with his high end theater equipment for years. After reading reviews and noting the solid reputation of the company I decided to choose this brand. I find the layout of the unit much improved over the older models and having the indicator lights to ensure that it is working properly is a nice upgrade as well.

I use it on all electronic devices which I am troubleshooting that require the mitigation of AC line spikes that could damage this equipment. Currently I own seven Tripp-Lite surge protectors protecting various electronics devices in my home, including an amateur radio station, refrigerators, and washers. So far, these protectors have saved my equipment from "brown outs, and fluctuating power outages. I will continue to purchase many of Tripp-Lite's quality line of surge protectors.

I purchased to use in protecting several electronic components. I like the fact that it has transformer outlets. That provides more flexibility for electronic components using the larger transformers. The higher joules rating was definitely preferred. The surge protector is behind a cabinet so I liked the ability to see the indicator lights showing its status without the need to move the cabinet.

It works well, it has USB charging ports, and even has outlets that are designed for those huge oversized plugs. I realized that if I were going to plug potentially thousands of dollars worth of equipment up, then I needed something that could help protect it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A high-quality product, at a fair and affordable price I just upgraded my "battle station" for the first time in 7 years, and said goodbye to a power strip my dad has probably had since I was born (I'm 32). I was looking to protect my investment ($2k+ worth of new PC hardware), match the black aesthetic of my area, and expand upon my previous 6 connections. This particular model was very highly rated (across the web, such as Amazon and Newegg), expanded me from 6 to 8 sockets, has a warranty that I hope I'll never need (but is a nice peace of mind), and it has visual protection of my equipment. Knowing that this model DISABLES itself when it fails (vs showing you with a light out, but still "working" without protection), is now a must for me, and I cannot believe it's not an industry standard. I see no reason to praise the product beyond the objective truths above, but I can honestly say this is a solid product, and if I need another strip elsewhere in the house, this is what I'll buy.

On most Surg protectors those oversize plug take up to spaces. with triplite I have three plugged in and still have room on the other side to plug everything else.

Buying a higher Joule rating was absolutely a good call. Runs silently (no hum or buzz), the LEDs are inoffensive and not overly bright, the spaced outlets are fantastic, and the cord is a great length. Its durability and protection will keep it under my desk for the foreseeable future, replacing the Anker protector that I felt wasn't as high-rated electrically as I needed.

Down sides of the unit - it has a really heavy cable which is stiff and doesn't bend well. It is easy to straighten it, but not worth the effort. The power cord is nice and long, but in reality too long for my uses, but that was my choice. The biggest complaint I can think of is the plug. It is a low profile plug, which is nice, but it is right angled, and goes off at a 135 degree angle from whatever vertical plane you want to use it in. I would buy this again, and if the socket layout suits your needs I recommend it. I have no idea how well the surge protection works, but that wasn't what I bought this for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality surge supressor at a decent price Pros: * Seems well built, robust, and the specifications (330V/400V clamping voltage, etc) are good * Clearly visible indication lights for grounding and protection * Automatic shut-off when protection is lost * Transformer outlet spacing handles chunky plugs, simplifying some cable management Cons: * A bit bulky, might have a difficult time fitting into smaller spaces * Security screws hamper verifying the internal design (though most folks shouldn't open it) NOTE: I have not yet encountered a thunderstorm or other noticeable electrical noise. I'm not able to verify the actual surge suppression performance, but the NYTimes WireCutter reviews section tested a similar model with a 25ft cord (the TLP825, while this is the TLP808B) which seemed to perform well.

I had a big name bar doing this until our recent outage, it started buzzing, so I replaced it with the Tripp - Lite. I trust Tripp - Lite and have for years. The review addressed my concerns precisely as this surge protector fried, due to a venue's bad extension cord, but protected the expensive equipment that was connected to it. This will be our fourth Tripp-Lite product, all still functioning and protecting our valuable electronic devices.

I chose this one from Tripp-Lite for my home office because of its rating as "the best overall surge protector of 2022" from TechRadar, and the insurance coverage on all connected devices really sells to me that Tripp-Lite trusts their devices to work and last a long time. It easily fits all my devices, I like that one side has extra space between outlets for wider plugs, and the lights gave me confirmation that the protector is working and when it needs to be replaced.

I bought this due to Tripp Lite replacing another unit I had that failed during a lightning strike, the unit was destoyed but it saved all my reloading equipment that was plugged into it. The power strip has three receptacles that accommodate those ubiquitous power bricks and five standard receptacles - each provides for a reassuringly firm grasp of the plug. The LEDs are welcome and provide some visual feedback as to the current status. This item replaced a 20+ year old ISOBAR 8-Outlet surge protector. My research into the expected longevity of the ISOBAR resulted in mostly reviews fo current models that espouse their solid construction. I lack the expertise to test my legacy ISOBARs for reliability and opted to purchase this model as a replacement due to the age of the ISOBAR. While I'm pleased with the Protect It! I'm likely to swap this model out for the 12-Outlet model to allow for future expandability while I modernize items presently in use (TB3 dock to replace the USB-C dock, new USB-C HD to replace the Time Capsule, etc.) This Surge Protector will then replace an equally aged 6-Outlet ISOBAR. This will accommodate my Near Field Monitors + Sub-woofer in addition to some MIDI Peripherals with AC adapters. As you can tell from this review I used a combination of consumer and prosumer products and while I appreciate the security the ISOBARs have afforded I suspect it may be overkill for my present needs hence I opted for the Protect It! model.

I mean who really would care to look into why there are various surge protectors on the market? Buy one and be done with it, especially when you find them in a bargain bin for ten dollars or less. Technology changes as the world turns including its adapter sizes, pricing and lifespan.The overall care and servicing of electronics should be mandatory when researching a protector. I decided to look into joules and what makes surge protectors different from one another. I mean I think we really take for granted what we have plugged in our outlets: Televisions, computers, receivers, home consoles, telephones, cooking devices, chargers, etc. The pricing of these items add up faster than you think with most of them probably not having life warranties for when they go kaput. I needed a surge protector that would give me peace of mind when lightning is in my area. Granted I remove my devices from the protectors when storms roll in town, but there is the occasional didn't know enough joules would hit to turn it off in the first place. Oh and now I hear the thunder and lightning after the power mysteriously goes out with no forewarning. Television? No issues. Various video game consoles spanning different generations? Still alive after the power returned. Power blender attached and forgot to remove it from the outlet? Well, you should take keep that away from the outlet and nowhere near the electronics, go put it away. Tripp Lite gives me a surge protector with enough width to fit both power adapters of today's technology and the old thick power adapters of the past! Quick and easy to use with simple lights to show whether it is working or not. I have never ever have to worry about the safety of my electronics if I fall asleep and wake up to seeing the power went out. I know my items will be safe and sound. It is worth every single penny!

This 8 outlet surge protector is nice due to its 3 sideways outlets which are perfect for wall warts that would normally cover up 2 or 3 outlets in a standard laid out surge protector. With an integrated on/off switch and LEDs to show everything is protected and grounded, I just wish they would move their manufacturing to the USA.
