One always needs more outlets and this provides them along with protection.
I have always been a user of Tripp-Lite Guaranteed surge protectors. I'm using them to protect my computer, monitor and printer. I'm also using them to protect my TV and all my stereo gear. Using Tripp-Lite suppressor in my laundry room to protect water softener and Rain Bird sprinkler system electronics. Lastly I'm also using a strip surge protector (yes, it's also a Tripp-Lite) in the garage. I recommend them to everyone I know For price and reliability!

So far so good
I have mixed feelings about it, if it really works the way is supposed to it would be great, but on the other hand I don't really want to find out...

Excellent for small appliances!
If you want the best when it comes to surge protectors, make sure it's a TrippLite, I would never even consider any other brand. The 3 outlet is perfect for plugging in small appliances or cell phone chargers for that additional protection and peace of mind. 5 Stars +++++

Will only handle three slim plugs.
It's a attractive unit, but the only shortcoming is it is designed for three slim plugs. If you need to plug in a "Transformer Plug", you lose use of one of the outlets.

I would buy it again (and I am going to) and I recommend it.
So far it is working I suppose. Both red and green lights working indicating it is grounded and the surge protection is active. I have my Whirlpool Cabrio clothes washer plugged into it because the machine basically is controlled by a computer. And everyone knows a computer needs to be surge protected. The only negative is that if you plug it into the bottom plug it blocks the other plug in the outlet for anything that has a three prong plug. Maybe a two prong plug like from a radio would fit. Therefore, if my freezer worked, I couldn't plug it in when the product is in the lower plug. If you put it in the upper plug you could do it but the center plug of the product could not be used by a wall-hugging type plug (like my washer has) because it too would hang in front of the lower outlet. You'd need to move it over to the side which makes it a little off balance if you only want one plug going into the surge protector. No worries though, I like the product, I would recommend it, and I would buy it again.

It's practical
I use Tripp-Lite because it's practical. It's not as esthetic as I like to be so I only use it in my garage and laundry room.

Does the job with some drawbacks
Does the job. My only complaints are that you can't turn off the LEDs In a bedroom, it's really annoying to see that light from across the room. Also, the 3-outlet surge protector hogs up the whole outlet in a 2-gang box. It's impossible to use the lower outlet, as the surge protector covers a portion of it, making it impossible to plug anything else in. Bad design.

Automatic Shutoff
I purchased this because of the automatic shut-off feature. It will prevent power from reaching connected devices entirely once the surge protector has sacrificed itself to protect your stuff. Tho the clamping voltage at 150 volts seem abit high to me..I would have preferred 135 volts. The 3 outlet design & price is a plus.

Compact and effective
I bought this surge protector for my new treadmill. If you use it on a double outlet, you can still use the top outlet if you plug this surge protector into the bottom one. Compact, efficient.

I am now a loyal customer
I use this product in my home in the outlet that my television and cable box are connected to. So far this product has been super amazing! Not only is it small and compact compared to similar products but it works amazingly well! It has indicator lights to show when it is working/when something has happened/etc.

Perfect for protecting a single device or two
I got this after purchasing the 12-plug and 6-plug protectors for my home office and entertainment stand and realizing I should probably protect the router in my kitchen. Since it's on a countertop, I needed something that wouldn't take up space, and this was perfect since it just goes straight into the wall outlet. I replaced all the surge protectors in my apartment after a storm almost killed my router despite it being on a budget protector. I like that the lights give me confirmation that the protector is working and when it needs to be replaced.

Cheap, functional, insurance. Great for travel.
Auto shut-off feature once protection is no longer working was a major selling point. The connected insurance in the event an item is damaged was the second great selling point. These two points separate Tripp-Lite from a plethora of other brands. The compact size, LEDs, and price were the features that led me to this brand & model between the two other companies that have the two features above. The color is the only thing I did not like. It is hideous.

Quality that's worth the price
I bought a Tripp-Lite because I know it's a quality brand. The direct plug takes up less space than a power strip. 3 outlets are plenty. It doesn't cover the adjacent outlet. The warranty is great.
