This 120V line-interactive AVR UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 10-outlet UPS is ideal protection for your home office or media center components, including computers, routers, printers, NAS drives, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, media players, DVRs and audio receivers.
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures, and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the line-interactive UPS system should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with LCD monitor powered as long as 90 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available. The hot-swappable internal batteries can be replaced by the user.
Five 5-15R outlets provide both battery backup and surge protection for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other five 5-15R outlets are surge-protected only for printers, scanners and other non-essential equipment. Two outlets - one battery/surge and one surge-only - are spaced apart from the others to accommodate bulky transformers. Four are ECO outlets designed to save you money and protect the environment (see below).
By meeting strict EPA efficiency guidelines, this ENERGY STAR-certified UPS system helps you save money and energy. An ECO power-saving option features four ECO outlets - three surge-only, one surge- and battery-protected - that turn off automatically when the device connected to the Battery Backup Master Outlet is powered down or in sleep mode. These outlets are recommended for printers, desk lamps and other non-essential peripherals that don't need to be operational all the time.
Use the included USB cable to connect the USB-B port to your computer. Working with Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software, this optional feature can enable safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure when you aren't around.
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts. The ECO1500LCD can correct brownouts as low as 86V back to nominal 120V power without drawing on the battery backup needed to support your equipment during a blackout.
A 316-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. Dual network data line surge suppression jacks protect a wired peripheral from dangerous surges on a single 10/100Base-T or dial-up network connection.
Two 5V USB ports share 2.1 amps of maximum charge current for charging smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and other essential mobile devices compatible with USB chargers. These ports are intended only for USB charging, which is available when the UPS system is turned on and receiving utility power.
Various electromagnetic and radio sources found in virtually every home and business can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. Known as EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference), this line noise is a common cause of performance problems and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission problems.

Reliable brand, user interface not user friendly.
Well, it is working as a UPS. Not sure how well as I don't think we have had any power issues since installed. Though one time it seemed to reset on its own, not sure why.
Not of fan of the PowerAlert interface. Seems to require an internet connection and does not give me much information. Previous UPS was another well known brand that can't be named and had PowerChute software to look at logs and status. Locally installed so no internet required. The Event Log and Application Log are blank on PowerAlert. Wait, just found that you have to download the logs to view them. Not a fan.

Excellent UPS + Customer Service
Easy to set up and it just works. Haven't had a power outage since I set it up so can't comment on the software to power down my equipment. Have used Tripp Lite UPS units for 2 decades and their products and customer service are top notch!

Great product and easy to set up and use
I have had some issues with these devices, and so far this one seems great. Easy to install, no issues and the Tripp-Lite brand has great customer service, products, and warranty. Easy to read display takes the guesswork out of it. Great choice.

Performing as expected; good purchase
Used in the home office to protect electronic devices. Worked as advertised through at least one power interruption in first two weeks. Appears to continue TrippLite's quality based on years of experience.

To busy to take care of a customer
I waited this long to give your techies plenty of time to respond. 3 weeks ago I called your Tripp lite techs on a problem with this eco1500lcd. The problem was that the master outlet was not getting covered in a simulated power outage by doing a self test. The master didn't go on battery and my pc lost power. I was concerned that something happened to it when I plugged in the ups and it gave a massive spark when plugging it in. I was concerned that I may have plugged it in wrong i.e. the devices first then the ups. Well I talked to a tech for information on the minimum load of the master outlet. After talking for a bit, the tech said he would research an alternate product for me. I mentioned that I may have blown out the warranty. He said it was ok, it was an honest mistake. A week goes my an no contact from him so I called back and got a second tech. I gave him the case number and he talked to the first tech. The tech came back and he said the first tech had the email for an alternate product and it would be 5 to 6 days before I would get the email. The second tech said that they were really busy. I said ok. When I got off the phone I thought, really their to busy to get me the email. So it's been two weeks since the last call to them and still no response. So I conclude that they are to busy to keep a customer. So I will not buy another product from Tripp Lite. If you guys couldn't honor the warranty then they shouldn't have offered to replace it. I wasn't looking to get a free ups, I was just trying to get info on how the master outlet detects a load on the outlet for it to go to battery. Not a new ups. Your guys offered. So now you can keep the ups. Don't bother sending an email or anything. I don't need it. Also I bought another ups, and it messed up by the utility going offline 3 times. It is now on my backup pc. I have an ups on the way non Tripp lite to take the place of the eco1500lcd. I will not recommend a Tripp Lite to anyone at all.

A great product
After a lot of years of being a loyal customer of Tripp Lite, I need to replace my old OMNI 900 LCD, after a long research I found this one interesting. When I recieved that I found that the Sergio was very easy, batteries came almost fully charged. Until now I think I made a smart purchase.

Good AVR/UPS for brownouts, power flickering and outages
I bought two of these units to supply power during outages caused by severe storms, especially when the news is tracking active tornados nearby. I now have security cameras, modem, router, TV and such running for awhile after an outage. Neither unit will display a load wattage, whether on line or battery. I imagine that is why the estimated run time is not accurate. After shutting down the PC, it continued to power the network hardware long after reaching zero minutes. Initially, one unit didn't work, so I called tech support and we found out the battery connector came unplugged during shipment. It happened to be the unit in the box with the crushed corner. They both work fine now. I'm not sure why the UPS allows you to view watts and VA if they aren't measured and always display zero. I also don't know how it could show a full battery when the battery had become unplugged. However, I'm happy with them both.

Great backup unit
Cheaper than replacement batteries for other unit that also has less runtime for same VA.
Online documentation says no replacement batteries, but paper pamphlet says otherwise.

Worth every cent!
We have very sketchy power & have multiple "Brown outs". The features of this ups are very helpful. It cleans up the variations in power and protects from surges. We have both computers
a printer & 2 monitors, everything for our office plugged into it. It is so much better than the one it replaced. We feel much safer & have plenty of time to shut down when an outage occurs.

GREAT customer service after the sale!!
I had bought this unit and was having issues with it. I contacted tech support and explained the issue (batteries not charging up) they without hesitation or red tape sent out replacement batteries. After I installed the new batteries, they were still not taking a charge. I once again called and explained and once again they took care of it right away. I had a new unit within a couple of days. This new one has been installed and is working as it should. I wish more companies were this easy to deal with when there is a problem. Thanks again.
