This UPS with AVR protection provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. This 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, security systems, digital signage equipment and other professional applications.
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures, and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the line-interactive UPS system should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 35 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.
Four UPS supported outlets provide both battery backup, surge suppression and voltage regulation for your computer, monitor on other critical items. Two additional outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop items not requiring battery backup. A high 95% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts and overvoltages. This UPS can correct brownouts as low as 89V and overvoltages as high as 145V back to nominal 120V power continuously, all while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.
A 316-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. Combats Electromagnetic Interference That Can Harm Equipment
Various electromagnetic and radio sources found in virtually every home and business can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. Known as EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference), this line noise is a common cause of performance problems and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission problems. This UPS incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise so that it won't affect your equipment.
Use the included cable to connect your device to the UPS USB port. Desktop systems can use Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software to enable safe unattended system shutdown in the event a power failure outlasts your UPS battery runtime. Even when you aren't around. Battery independent restart ensures automatic UPS power-up without user interaction after lengthy power outages, even when batteries are expired and require replacement. So Far So Good
I'm using it for personal computing (Mac Mini and monitor). I may be plugging additional peripherals in later. It seems to be well made, and I'm glad it's made in a country other than the dominant manufacturing one. There is a "hot electronic odor" that I hope cooks off in time. The number of outlets is appropriate, and I'm glad everything is surge protected. It's hard to review something after plugging it in for the first time, but I don't have the patience to wait 6 months. I'll be putting it through its paces if we have an extended outage this summer and I need to plug it into my inverter generator.

Easy to setup, provides surge protection and standby power
The unit has four (4) standby power plugs, great for computer and two monitors. In addition, it has two surge protection ports. It was easy to setup and the software is downloaded from the internet

Just the right size for my network
I have a lot of power blips (you know when it flickers just hard enough to reset EVERYTHING!) at my home. Losing internet repeatedly is devastating!
I have tried several UPSs to handle my modem and router - to keep them alive. However, It wasn't until I purchased this model but I finally found the right equilibrium.
I've used this model now for the past 5 years and it has protected my equipment beautifully. No damage to my high-end router or modem and I rarely, if ever, lose internet regardless of the weather.

Miami Thunderstorm Power-Outage Protection
I use this primarily for my internet gateway/modem, to keep the internet service running if (when) brief power outages occur during the frequent Miami thunderstorms. Prior to using this UPS, every power hit during a thunderstorm would require that I wait about 10 minutes for my internet gateway to reboot and reconnect, but now the gateway remains powered and I am able to remain connected.

Yes! I would recommend this product(s)
I purchased BC600TU for only one purpose, to keep my NetGear router alive during storms and the loss of power providing me peace of mind that my router will be safe from any power spikes or power surges. So far I'm very happy to say after testing the system with introducing the power failure it worked flawlessly. The first test keeps all items running for 15 minutes just long enough for my home generator to get running and engaged to repower the house for all appliances. It was great to have the comforting feeling of control!

It does what it claims.
It is easier to set up and to use. Even a non-tech guy can easily figure it out.
