Excellent product all around
This item is a must have when you need multiple monitors. Our docking stations only support two external monitors, but by using Tripp-Lite's USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter, we are able to add more monitors very easily.

Works, but needs updated owners manual
The paperwork supplied and available on line is dated 2014. Comes with a mini CD for the installation software, and in case you do not have a CD drive, that software is not available on the support page. The instructions that are provided are to install the software, restart the computer, then hook up the video adapter. With no software/driver available to install, I just plugged it in to my Win 10 notebook. Windows 10 automatically figured everything out and within minutes, I was up and running. The half hour plus I wasted trying to find the software/driver was just a waste of time and updated paperwork could have made my installation process so much easier. Other than that, this video adapter just was easy to use and worked.

It works in Windows 10
Pros: Plugged it in to a Windows 10 laptop and after a moment, it was ready. Turned on the display and it worked.
Cons: Paperwork is outdated (mine said 2014 on one paper and 2016 on the other) and the instruction say to install software before hooking up the device. Box says 1 year warrantee but when I went to the support website to try to get software because my notebook does not have a CD/DVD drive (Software is on a mini CD) I was presently surprised that the site said 3 year warrantee. The available downloads are just the owner manual which is not much; no drive downloads. I decided to plug the video adapter in and see what Windows could find and it seemed like Windows was smarter than the manufacturer.
Overall Review: Based on the lack of current information, I was almost going to give three stars, but this would be a 4 or 5 if the paperwork just said it was plug-n-play on Win 10

This worked like a charm
So far so good....I've had this for a few weeks to be able to hook up 2 monitors to my laptop since it has only one HDMI port. Just plugged it in to the USB port and it worked. I didn't load the software or anything.
