This multipurpose dock is compatible with any Surface device with a USB-C port. An adjustable clamp firmly secures the dock to compatible Surface devices up to 12 inches (30.5 centimeters) wide. You can connect to a wired Gigabit Ethernet network, transmit 4K video with audio to a larger screen, add a thumb drive and other USB peripherals, and charge your Surface, all at the same time. Note: This dock clamps to the following models: Surface GO, Surface GO 2, Surface GO 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro X. It also works with other Surface devices with a USB-C port, but cannot clamp to them.
The HDMI port supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 30 Hz. HDCP 2.3 compliance allows you to stream 4K Amazon and Netflix content with no complications. You may also connect to a DVI display by connecting an HDMI-to-DVI adapter.
Two USB-A ports and one USB-C port support USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps for USB peripherals, such as flash drives, RAID storage, mice and keyboards. Another USB-A port supports USB 2.0 specifications for devices that require less speed. All ports are backward compatible with previous USB generations, so you can use legacy equipment.
The USB-C Power Delivery port supports power output up to 20 V 5 A (100 W), which is more than sufficient for charging and powering the connected Surface. Just connect the device's wall charger to both the USB-C PD port and an AC outlet.
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when Wi-Fi is unavailable or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable, and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
