Fast printer, easy setup
My new HP printer was easy to setup. I literally followed the instructions step by step. I used my phone along with the booklet and I went at my own pace. This printer has some great features. I like that it has a print option button for color only, b/w only and even for ID's. The pages I've printed are very fast! Faster than my old one. This is my first printer with ink refill bottles. The front of the printer allows me to see how much ink is left. I do think it prints louder than my old printer, but the speed makes up for it. I have also had to contact support regarding the power cord. The cord it came with does not stay plugged to the unit. Any nudge of the printer and the cord falls off. Support was responsive and is sending a new cord. I like it and I think it will be great since I am constantly printing for business and school purposes.

Smart Tank worth it ?
The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer works well for home offices. This all-in-one inkjet printer includes up to two years of ink. It has tanks you can refill. This helps you save money instead of buying ink cartridges.
The print quality is good for daily docs and photos. Text looks sharp. Colors are vibrant. The HP Smart app lets you print and scan from a phone or tablet.
But the setup could be easier. The instructions talk about A4 paper size. In some areas, Letter size is common. The printer works with both sizes. But better instructions would help. It also takes some time to get through the setup pages.
Overall, this printer is a fine choice for home and small offices. The costs are low. Printing quality is good enough. And you can print from mobile. But if you want a faster, simpler setup, look elsewhere.
Pros: Saves money, refillable tanks, decent print quality, mobile printing.
Cons: Setup instructions confuse, getting started takes time.

Good for photo printing
I have been using HP printer all my life and this is another upgrade. HP Smart Tank 7001 is something I needed for regular printing with an added bonus of photo printing at home. The setup I would talk later. This printer comes with 4 toners and 2 cartridges ,surely takes time to install these apart from connecting the printer to network and setup. Though it is a time taking process but smooth to install the toners and cartridges. This printer prints out faster than my other printer and also prints dual side which was missing in my other printer and saves how much I use paper. The print quality is superb here I am referring to the photo printing. I printed a few of my family pictures and they came out beautiful. I am going to buy a thicker photo printing paper to print more and make a collage. Also this printer is not much noisy ,comparatively quieter. I have no issue regarding the quality of the printer, it seems lightweight but not flimsy. It looks nice on my work desk. Now come to the part which I do not like about the HP printer in general. Like my other printer which I had purchased 2 years ago and setting up the printer took me hours even without any technical reasons for not connecting the printer to the network. This time also this printer took me more time in just setting up/connecting the printer to the network. There was no technical issue like the printer was powered off, or bluetooth not connected, wifi not working etc. Everything was okay still this took extra time. I am not sure why this happens and I want HP to look into this issue. The printing efficiency is good and says the ink can last upto 2 years ,however I would be happy with 1 year coz it all depends on how much and what quality of prints you print. Overall I am happy to have this printer for my work and personal usage.

All in one printer with easy set up
Received my HP Smart Tank 7001 All-in-One Printer and was surprised at how this sturdy piece of equipment was so light weight!
This All-in-One Printer was so easy to set up and so easy to use. Love that not only did the printer come with enough ink to last about 2 years but also the fact that you pour the ink into the tanks which will save money (unlike having to purchase ink cartridges) in the long run.
This machine can scan, copy, and print all with great ease.
HP has produced many great products that have have been in businesses and homes for many years and this All-in-One is no different!
Many projects will be acquired successfully with this HP All-In-One Printer.

Easy printing
I love these super cute easy refillable little ink bottles this printer comes with. I love being able to open the printer easily and not feel like I'm breaking it. The color pages that I print are just wonderful. No streaks no blurriness where I can't see all of the different colors. There is such a range from just three little bottles of color. The size is really small and compact. Easily storeable when not in use. You can plug it in and get started from your computer right away. Printers technology has come so far everyone needs to update their printer! HP has perfected the all-in-one printer. I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Great Home Printer
I purchased this printer for my son who is going to college. He needs a printer that is of higher quality that my current home printer. I would consider this HP7001 Smart Tank printer somewhere in between home use and business use. It was easy to set up and get started. I can print from my phone or my computer. The tank ink is a game changer. It is efficient and does not produce wasted cartridges. I dont think I will have to refill the ink for a long time. This style of tank ink will not dry out like other printers.
A real bonus is the app. I can scan documents with my phone and it provides excellent results.
The print quality is clean and crisp. The printer is quick. Very nice looking on my desk.

Fabulous money saver!
I received this product for a discount to review and test out. I originally planned on at home but after testing it there I decided to bring it to work! The amount of ink cartridges that I go through due to printing a ton of invoices is ridiculous! This printer is an absolute game changer when it comes to the ink! I am beyond excited! The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because it is slower than I am accustomed to. Beyond that, this is absolutely excellent as far as the 1. The packaging was so thought out and the care that went into that is top notch! 2. Knowing that HP created this is always fantastic 3. The aesthetics of the printer were also well thought out in their design and it is very appealing

Absolutely love this printer. The automatic duplex option is a major time saver. The ink tanks saves having to buy LOTS of ink cartridges. I printed up 30 books for a family reunion and still have ink left.

The HP smart tank 7001 is a perfect printer for me. Easy to use and has high print quality. Though a little noise but I am sure I will get used to it. I love the idea of not using cartridges. It’s much more economical for me. Haven’t had time to get into scans. But the automated 2-sided printing works great with the HP Smart app. I would recommend buying this printer.

HP has made an excellent all in one Smart Tank. From the minute I open the box the set up was so easy. The printer connected to all my devices quickly. It was in a matter of 20 minutes from start to finish. I thought the ink was going to be messy. I was wrong that was also mess free and quick and easy. Printing in black/white to color is fast. there is a difference between color printing it takes a few secs more than black n white but not by much. I don't see this printer using as much ink as my old printer. I made about 150 copies and if this was my other printer I would of had a warning window pop up low on ink. My son printed pictures and they came out beautiful. I haven't reach my limited of how much I would normally use this printer as school has ended for us and my children are not running this printer from 7 am to 4pm no stop. But I can say from what I have seen from what they have put it through so far I don't feel I will have to buy replacement ink every week with HP Smart Tank. I feel this printer is the printer for any household. I would think those that like to save money on ink would really like it the most. I named it Printer of the year. Best All in one Printer I have ever owned.
Let me start with the setup of the printer. The instruction for the setup with the help of the HP Smart App was a piece of cake. The instructions are laid out great and easy for anyone to follow.
The printout of the printer is fantastic. I have been using the printer for the past couple of weeks daily and am amazed by the speed and quality of the printouts.
The scanner is great. I have been scanning documents, and IDs for my school and work and the quality is great. I printed out pictures as well and the quality was great.
I am really happy with the printer and the best one I have owned so far.

HP did not come to disappoint this time! This printer will last a lifetime and out does my Epson on speed, color clarity, and ink storage. It’s super easy to set up and prints more clearly than any printer I’ve ever owned! I love it and will definitely be sending my daughter off to college with one in the fall. Excellent Ink Supply
I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
Overall I am happy with this printer. It has a modern white body that fits in with any decor, and looks very clean and sophisticated. I like the ink windows for viewing ink levels. Came with plenty of ink that will last a really long time and I do a lot of printing. I was used to using HP Instant Ink, but no need with this printer. Setup was simple on mobile via an app, my Chromebook had some issues but I eventually figured it out, and my Windows 10 laptop connected right away. My WiFi connected easily as well. I like the large paper tray, holds plenty of paper. Filling with the bottles of ink wasn't complicated at all, I thought I might make a mess but I didn't spill a drop!
The only suggestion I have is to make the interface more user friendly as the buttons are not labeled, and even after using it for a few months I still find myself referring to the manual, especially when it comes to running any diagnostics because it takes a combination of button pushing and I can't remember them all.
Worth the price for the ink supply!

The HP Smart Tank 7001 | Smart Tank 720 All In One printer is an amazing product. The setup was effortless including the mobile application. I wasn't used to bottled ink, but for the first time using bottle ink, it is fantastic. The ink cost is low and very easy to pour into printer tanks. The print quality is excellent for what I'm printing. It's relatively fast, but you might have to wait just a few seconds for it to get going.
HP Smart Tank 7001 is fantastic and supports print, scan, and copy with borderless printing capabilities. I scan a lot, the scanning is clean and accurate. The copy feature is the best. Coping single pages is easy. Place the page on the scanner, press either the color or monochrome button, and then the 7001 will print out a copy. The paper tray holds up to 250 pages while the output tray holds up to 100 pages.
When printing documents for work or school the black print quality was fantastic. Color photos on photo paper came out looking very high quality.
With this printer, you can do remote printing, mobile faxing, mobile scanning, adjust print settings, add additional HP printers to your network, create shortcut and storage locations for files, images, and faxes, and invite other people to your HP Smart cloud.
The HP Smart Tank 7001 is a solid performing, full featured, and economical all in one printer. It also seems like it will be much more economical using the ink refills rather than cartridges as well. Highly recommended.

Great small business printer
I use this printer for my crafting business. It's been phenomenal! I was able to knock out a few large jobs in less time and without having to refill the ink. I'm really loving the large capacity ink storage and the quality of prints made. One hiccup was that when the app showed that all edges would have a boarder, it did not print with a boarder on one edge of the prints.
It was super easy to connect to the HP Smart Printer app and only a few momenta to start printing! The noise level is minimal and it's compact enough to fit on a shelf. Overall, I really think this printer was a great choice for me to use in my business.

Great quality, quiet "all-in-one" printer
This is a great quality printer/copier/scanner from HP! It is quiet, quick, and does the job for my home office. Upon opening the box, it was larger than I expected. I am a fairly tech-savvy person, and I thought the instruction booklet would be easy for anyone to follow, however, there were some technical difficulties with initial set up. I was unable to connect it to the internet via HP Smart app on my laptop and had to set it up via HP Smart app on my phone first, then I could add it to the laptop. The app shows you the amount of ink left, as well as the number of pages of paper in the tray, which is pretty cool. I like that this printer uses ink tanks as opposed to ink cartridges, which should be more cost effective and environmentally friendly.
There are separate buttons on the printer to copy in color, copy in black and white, and copy a double sided card (like an ID) to print on one side. The copier is a flatbed copier/scanner, so if you need to copy/scan many pages, it may be a bit tedious. The plastic "lid" on the copier feels a little flimsy, and only stays up if completely open. Scanning is controlled by the HP smart app on the computer or phone. You can scan to a .jpg or .pdf, and you can change the quality of the scan. The higher quality, the longer it takes. I scanned the front page of the instruction booklet in 300 dpi (default setting), which looks great and was quick. You can scan multiple pages into one PDF and crop the scans as you go, or pick a size to scan (i.e. 8.5x11) if all the pages are the same, but again, you do have to scan the pages one at a time. Unless I missed it, there didn't seem to be any instructions included on how to use this printer after setup, so I had to Google it to figure it out.
Overall, this is a great all-in-one printer and I would recommend for daily home or office use with an emphasis on printing. If you scan or copy multiple pages (greater than 5-10 pages) frequently, it may be better to get an all-in-one with a paper feeder.

Love the quality
I was excited to try the HP smart tank 7001 all in one. The installation/setup was very easy. It’s compact and it fit nicely in the printer stand we have. The printer has a vibrant print color, and ink install was very easy. It has a wireless function that works with my phone. I also love the double sided printing option; it helps save on paper. Frustrating!
I bought this an hp smart tank 7001 a few months ago. I have found it very frustrating. It frequently stops working and I have to unplug it and plug back in to get it started again. There are lots of crazy icons that pop up but no where in the manual or on line does it explain what the icons mean or what to do when they show up and the icons are are hard to see because it doesn't light up enough. Also the manual does not tell what replacement ink to buy. A more complete manual would be very helpful or at least some better on-line information. When it is working it prints well and I can usually get it started if I unplug it and restart it.

Convenient and Smart All-in-One Printer
The printer is exceptionally useful and handy for all my needs. It can reliably print on all sorts of material, scan, copy, etc. Additionally, it is easy to print from anywhere through all my devices. It is fast, quiet, and sharp. Its main feature, cartridge-less ink usage, is especially easy to fill and forget about. With its 2 years of included ink, it is very easy to set up and start using. Although the app is intuitive and can control all of the printer's features, it would also have been beneficial to have a more functional display to control the features on the printer.

Little pricey, but does the job well
One of the best options available on the market if looking for an ALL-IN-ONE (print, copy, scan) Inkjet printer with the INK TANK option. PLUS, it prints on both sides!!! That was a big factor for me, period. Getting up to two years of ink right out of the box really helps with justifying this price point. Ink cartridges are not eco-friendly hence, having the ink tank option was my primary motivator to get this one. It is not as fast as laser printers hence not suitable for high volume jobs, but best for light usage such as in a home / home office. The initial setup and refilling the ink is very easy. Early impressions show the print quality is very good as well. Removed one star just for the high price.

No Ink Worries
My HP Smark Tank 7001 is the first printer of this type I have owned. I was very hesistant at first when seeing the price tag and I almost auto defaulted to the standard printer I always buy. But the smart tank Ink can last a very long time and prints at good quality! I won't have to run to the story anymore looking for ink and be stuck in a jam! DFid i say i love the moible printing option! It makes it so much easier for work!!

I love HP products because as a rule they are very reliable. This printer was a bit of a disappointment, not mechanically, works great. I am thinking about purchasing a backup paper tray because I know at some point this one will break. For the price I would think the paper tray would have been a bit sturdier. Printer runs smoothly and gives great color and black and white copies. Setup instructions were easy to follow and get everything up and running. Overall I am happy with my purchase and if I had to knowing what I know I would still purchase this printer, worth the money.

Modern design printer - Easy to use
When I received this HP Smart Tank 7001 on May 16th 2024, I guessed it would be complicate for me to set up the printer.
However, it took me only 20 minutes to set up all including wifi connection, printing adjustment and ink cartridge installation. I am really appreciated for this part.
The wifi connection is perfect, and the HP smart app is helpful and convenient.
The printing speed is as fast as my old one.
The printing quality is good, and I could print out some pictures now.
On the other hand, I like the shape of this printer, because it is modern, decent and easy to insert it into my under-the-table spot.
One more thing is the ink tanks could be used for about 2 years, which means that I don't need to spend more money on inks for my printing stuff.

Its a good HP printer
Its a great printer for people who print a lot. I been using HP printers for almost 15 plus years i feel the quality been getting worst, from the scanner to display. For the price of the printer the consumer is paying for the 2 years supply of the ink and not the printer it self. I feel the printer can be better with multifeeder and a stronger plastic. The printer prints very fast and at the same time is very quite. When printing it doesn’t move and din’t feel too much shacking.

Quick and Crisp
I love this printer, the hp smart tank 7001. My last printer was also a HP and that was pretty good too. but this one is amazing. It prints very quick and it is much quieter than any I have owned before. My grandson will fall asleep right next to it and sleep right through me printing a ton of things. I was able to hook it up wirelessly to my desktop and my Chromebook, by myself! I could never get my last one hooked up to either and it made me crazy. But it is so nice to be across the room, and to be able to print.
The printer holds a ton of paper and it is enclosed. I have the 3 year old and cats. I never knew if I was still going to have paper left on the printer, but now I just load it up and I know that it stays in there until I use it up!!!
The ink works different, but kind of the same. You put the 4 different colors of ink into 4 chambers in the front of the machine and you can see how much you have left at all times. From there it travels to a traditional looking ink cartridge and prints! Hp says that the ink will last about 2 years, give or take, depending on your printing. The printer was quite a bit more than I would spend, but due to the amount I spend on ink, I'm hoping that it is a good trade off... So far , so good.
My daughter loved printing things out on this for her end of school projects. She agreed it was fast and everything looked great. If it makes my 14 year old happy, that says a lot!!!
There are a lot of things that I haven't even tried yet with this printer. I can't wait to see what else I can do with this incredible printer!!!

Surpassed my expectations
This is my first HP Smart Tank Printer and I really like it so far. It was easy to set up and I was printing within minutes of set up. The printer sets up easily with the HP smart App although I did need to read the manual since there aren’t many buttons or a large screen so you need to press 2 different buttons at one time to get the Wifi to kick in. It wasn’t to much of a problem to figure out.
The printer and the cartridges are all set up very nice and even the bottles of ink snap in easily to the printer so there is no mess or spills. I print a lot of stuff at home between my husband and his small business, me and my small business and our kids with remote learning and everything else in between. I have a few printers and all are HP since they make good quality printers for whatever you need. I really like having the option to refill the cartridges myself instead of being forced to purchase high priced prefilled cartridges.
This printer is a little more pricey compared to the others but I feel it is worth it since it makes printing seamless with a high capacity ink cartridge and 2 years worth of ink. This printer prints, copies and scans, plus it has automatic 2-sided printing, borderless prints, mobile and wireless printing and can print up to 15 ppm black and 9 ppm color. This is definitely a all in one multi use printer and is made from recycled materials—more than 25% by weight of plastic. I still have a bunch of functions to get to but it works effortlessly with the HP App and I never have a problem printing. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

This HP Smart Tank 7001 printer is so great.
First off, it's not heavy, so moving it around is not difficult.
And the print quality is really good!
I slapped some pics on paper with this thing, and they came out crystally clear, just like those fancy photo prints.
Plus, it's got this automatic double-sided printing feature, which totally surprised me and made my life way easier.
What is more, it hooks up wirelessly, so printing straight from my phone is a piece of cake.
Overall, this printer's a game-changer.

Hp Smart Tank 7001
It is an exceptional work of art. I love how the connectivity is seamless. I was able to print from my laptop, tablet and smartphone in a few seconds. The print quality is phenomenal. I can’t wait for other projects that I can you print with this technology. I would like to add it’s impressive the size of the unit and everything it can do. These type of printers usually bigger and size.

Decent printer with good color printing
The printer took about 30-45 minutes to set up. Most of the setup time was just for waiting for the printer to calibrate before it could start printing anything. I hadn’t realized that it needed about 10-15 minutes after the relatively simple setup to calibrate before I could start printing. Fortunately, I was able to print, and the document I printed came out nicely. I do like that the HP Smart app has printables relevant to everyday life. I chose to print out a monthly budgeting sheet and the color came out well.

Small Powerhouse of a Printer
Overall - I am happy with this printer. It packs a lot of power in such a small box.
Great stuff - Continues:
1- No ink cartridges, but tanks instead of the colors. I currently have another printer and this is an upgrade when it comes to color utilization and value for money.
2- Filling up the cartridges was a breeze, there was no spillage, and loved the sound it made while filling up.
3- It comes with everything included, like the manual, but I preferred downloading the app and following the prompts on my phone. It even let me send links to my other devices to get the app installed. This was super helpful.
4- The whole set-up process is very well thought out and designed for the best user onboarding experience. The best thing was about the flawless sync between the app and the printer. It guided me through the whole process and kept giving me prompts and the printer was able to successfully sense the completed step and communicated with the app to inform me.
5- I read about issues regarding wi-fi connectivity, which is critical to me and was a make-or-break deal. I was surprised at how quickly it connected with my wifi and the connection through the app was seamless.
The improvement areas:
1- For a $400 printer, this is very basic and bare-bones. I can get a competitor product with more bells and whistles.
2- The LCD screen is such a turndown. They could've done better by adding a color LCD with the ability to do many tasks.
In summary, it is still a very nice printer and can print a lot of pages for you, but if you are looking for a high-tech product with a UI, this is not for you. I will be using this for my car dealership and there, I need speed and cost-effectiveness, and this printer hits a bullseye there.

Easy to use and cost efficiency
My favorite feature of this printer is its cost-effective printing. Since I print daily, ink costs often exceed the price of my printer. The HP Smart Tank 7001 refillable ink tank significantly reduces costs compared to my previous printer that used traditional ink cartridges.
The Smart Tank 7001 can handle various paper sizes and types, including plain (legal size) and parchment paper (for certificates), as shown in my picture. It’s also designed for photo paper and envelopes, which I haven’t tried yet but will definitely test when needed.
The printer supports wireless printing, allowing me to print from my iPhone, tablet, and laptop without the need for cables. This is far more convenient and flexible compared to my previous printer, where I had to transfer documents to a desktop and print via cable due to unreliable Bluetooth connectivity.
The Smart Tank 7001 is very user-friendly. I set it up in under 15 minutes(started at 6:10, finished before 6:30) without needing the manual, thanks to its straightforward interface that guides you through the process on-screen. As you can see in the picture, it will let you know if wifi is on or you need to add the ink. Plus, if you have paper in there, when you press the "I", it will print the wifi info page.
Additionally, the visible ink levels are a great feature, eliminating the guesswork of traditional cartridges that often misreport ink status. It ensures you know exactly when to refill, avoiding the frustration of replacing cartridges that still have ink.
Overall, the HP Smart Tank 7001 is an excellent choice for those seeking a cost-effective and versatile printer for home or office use.

Great Printer
I love this printer. Super simple to set up and to connect to my network. Works great off my mobile device, as well as my wireless and wired home network. The color is crisp on printed items. It is really easy to perform the print, scan and copy function. I like the pause button on print as well as the ability to copy ID cards, both sides to one page. Refilling ink is a pleasure. I would definitely refer this printer to anyone in the market for a new one.

Easy to use and high quality
This was my first time using a printer with no ink cartridges and it's pretty amazing that the HP Smart Tank 7001 can be refilled so easily. Loading the initial ink in was easy and the electronic setup instructions through the HP Smart App are really easy to follow with good visuals. The printer heads were also easy to install and getting the device discovered and loaded onto my home wireless network was easy. I keep it in my office and the wife is strong enough to print from any room in the house. Great wireless! I like the HP Smart app and plan to use the print from anywhere feature when I'm not home as well.
The printing is reasonably quiet for an inkjet although there is some side to side shaking that shakes the table under it also. The scanner is very quiet and doesn't disturb anyone at home. The quality of the prints is good and the colors are vivid. I like that I can see the tank levels from the outside of the printer and also get estimates of the tank levels from the app.
This is a good printer for both business text printing as well as more creative colorful projects. My Powerpoint presentations print well and the speed of printing is good given the detail level of the prints.
The printer feels sturdy and the lid has a secure feel and good opening and closing swing to it. Overall, I'm happy with the HP Smart Tank 7001 and think it's a great All-in-One Printer.

Great for remote printing!
It is my first time setting a brand new internet All-in-One Printer. I would like to say how convenient the whole process was! I didn't even look at the manual, I just downloaded the app on my phone and followed the instructions there. Basically the thing you need to do is to 1)take out the card box inside the machine and 2) add the inks that come with this printer, 3) install the printhead.
I literally just spent 10 minutes to get my first print from unboxing the printer.
The HP app is so easy to navigate and can print anything from your phone, where it has a document scanning function inside the app, that makes it even convenient! And you can choose if you want it printed in double-sided or color/black, just in the printing preview page.
The printer can also do scanner/coppier as well! The resolution quality of the copy is fantastic!

The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer has a very stylish design. It is user-friendly, with a straightforward set up process that made it easy to start printing right away. It was so easy filling the ink tanks with the spill- proof ink bottles. I also like that the ink tank capacity can be seen on the front of the printer, making it convenient to monitor the ink levels. Easy to Set Up
This was very easy to set up. I was surprised. I am not tech savvy, and in less than 20 minutes was making prints and this was after a good 5 minutes of pacing around, going I cant do this. Everything you need to get started is in the box. The ink cartridges are full size, which to me, is major, as I don't have to wonder if the refills will get here before the ink runs out, and did I mention that the ink in the box is enough for up to 2 years? The ink was easy to fill and there was no mess.

The home printer the world needs…
Was super excited when I found out HP sells a printer that didn’t involve replacing cartridges and only needing bottles of ink to refill. After setup, I can confirm it’s everything you would think it would be.
Let’s start off with installation, following the instructions and going to the website for the step by step process literally makes this a breeze. It’ll walk you through step by step, any age friendly. Starts out showing how to remove packaging properly all the way to running the final alignment check.
One thing I was worried about was how the ink would be added and if it would end up with an ink mess. Come to find out you won’t have a single drop of ink left on the printer or your hands, really was thought out well.
Overall I highly recommend this, I feel it was designed to be compact yet feature all the options you need. I will mention I was concerned if it could print pages directly from my phone and the printer popped right up as an option to print.
Don’t think twice about this, buy it!

The only printer you need!
The HP Smart Tank 7001 All-in-One printer is the most user-friendly printer I have been fortunate to own. The LCD screen is a bit small and isn’t touch capable, but it isn’t a deal breaker. The printer features the following buttons, a two-sided ID card scanner, color copier, monochrome copy, Wi-Fi, printer info, resume, and a cancel button that ends whatever process the printer is executing. The paper tray only accommodates up to 100 sheets of paper (was hoping it would hold 250). The ink tanks have transparent windows that allow you to view the ink levels. This printer was designed to allow fast, high-volume printing. Setup was a breeze by following the reference guide. Took approximately 30 minutes. The printer features a USB A port on the back of the printer so you can directly connect to a computer. Calibration was just as simple as setting up. The print quality is easy to read and quick at the press of a button. Scanning resulted in capturing a perfect copy. Copying was also just as easy, you determine whether you want a color or black & white copy then depending on how many copies you need, you press that button the desired number of times. The HP Smart app connects your mobile device to your printer. The app gives the user full control of the printer, printer properties, printer network configuration, ability to scan directly from a phone, mobile faxing, and direct printing capabilities from any device. This printer is a very good solution for many at home/remote workers. Flexible options and easy to use with the convivences of a professional high-end printer. I wish the printer had a larger display and the ability to read memory cards, but it doesn’t take away from the pros of this printer. Highly recommend! I am completely thrilled with my new printer. I have been on the search for a great printer that doesn't use so much ink. I heard about these new Smart Tank printers and bought one. Fail. I tried again with this new HP Smart Tank. Drop the mic, this printer is all that and more. It prints with crisp clarity that I love. My business brochures are finally top-notch. The vivid colors really make my documents stand out.
I received this printer in exchange for reviewing it, I did not have high expectations. However, I have been pleasantly surprised! The best part about this HP Smart Tank Printer is how easy it is to set up. It took me under 5 minutes from unboxing to printing. It walks you through all with clear instructions and an app. The app is another great feature. When you're on the go like me, all business needs must be constantly accessible. This smart app allows for that.

Very Pricey, Value Unclear
At a retail price of $420, this is a more expensive inkjet printer, though the manufacturer claims that the ink supplied could last up to 2 years. Of course, "your mileage may vary," as they say. The print quality of photos on standard paper is not great, but the default print quality is set to a lower/ draft quality. When the print quality is adjusted in the print dialog, the photos do print at a hight, more acceptable print quality.

Easy Setup And Long Lasting Ink!
I am very pleased with this printer so far. I love that it was simple and easy to set up. The instructions were straight forward and the ink setup was quick and mess free! I love that the ink lasts for over 2 years. It's awesome that the ink level is right in font with a visible tank that way you can keep note of how much ink is left without having to check your computer or phone! The printer seems very quiet and prints out pages super fast! I am so happy with this printer and would deffinetly recommend it to friends and family.

Great for an expensive paper weight.
Wish I'd never bought this thing. Worked fine for a few months then it decided to stop connecting to my network. Had to reset it and readd back to the app. Worked for a few more weeks and lost its connections again. HP Dumb app finds it, starts the set up and hangs. Tried on 3 computers, 2 phones, and a tablet. Now I've got a printer that if I'm not hard wired to it, it won't work. Factory reset per instructions and it just won't connect. Even tried a second router and 2.4 and 5.0 ghz.

The HP Smart Tank 7001 impressed me with its sleek and modern design when I took out from the box. The quality feels robust, the materials used durable. I need to find a space as soon as possible to test the color and the up to 2 years printing value.
A best way to install the brand new printer is download the app and flowing one by one step to finish. Only the power plug looks weak to me.

Old Reliable HP
HP has been in the computer/electronic market for decades. I first purchased a all-in-one printer back in 2004 while I was going to college. I've kept that printer till this day and its been through thousands of print jobs including my wedding invitation we design and print ourselves. But now, we have kids of our own and we need something for up to date. The HP SMART TANK 7001 is the all-in-one I've been looking for. We needed something reliable, affordable and able to do wireless prints. This printer provide all of the above plus more. Upon receiving this printer, I unboxed it and started the setup. It was super easy to set up on my phone, the walk-thru instructions allows us to easily setup up the WIFI connection and ink toner in minutes. I used my smart phone on a daily basis and being able to print from a smart device is a must for me. What I like about his printer is I was able to send the print jobs even when I'm not at home. I would send the job and when I get home, the prints will be waiting for me. It was very fast and efficient and the quality of the print jobs are amazing. Can't asked for a better second printer. Great quality for all-in-one printer
This printer has multiple features which support your daily use or business. I did a test printing for color pictures, and also tried scan some documents, so easy to figure out once you connected to your PC. And I am very satisfy with the printing quality, very vivid color and clear, even beyond my expectation.
Setting up procedure is straightforward even for first time user like me. You need to download APP from APP/Android store first. I highly recommend to follow on each step displayed in the HP official videos, and when you finish each step, the APP will remind you to move to next.
Overall I am very satisfy with my decision for this printer, so easy to use and also not heavy to carry.

The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer is very east to assemble and use, i need to print lots of paper document for my daily job and paper homework for my daughter, i love this printer speed because the printer speed is fast engouh for me, and the color is also bright and good engouh for my color picture request. the most important thing is the bottled ink cost low that is saving money for the daily printing, i just need to put the bottled ink into printer tanks that is very convenient to replace when the color running out. the second party i love it is wirless printer, it sooooo convenient for daily print, the last thing is the pakaging is very good, totally perfect protecting the printer condition. No more ink cartridges!
After years of printers that lasted only a few months, I am so happy to have finally found the HP Smart Tank 7001. It prints quickly and remotely and I couldn’t be happier. I love how versatile this printer is while still being compact. I can print in color, double sided, scan and copy and the printer fits easily on top of the bookshelf in my office. I found the printer easy to set up following the comprehensive instructions and have not had any issues with connectivity for remote printing. The best part of this printer is that it comes with up to two years of ink. Never again do I need to purchase costly cartridges saving me both time and money. I love the low cost per page of printing while still giving high quality, crisp images and text. I couldn’t be happier.

Decent Printer, Easy Setup, Some Quirks
Overall, I am happy with this printer, but it does have a few quirks or flaws that are worth being aware of.
The GOOD:
-No ink cartridges!!!! I'm an way too excited about this. It ships with a bottle of each color of ink and you fill a little tank. Absolutely fantastic to not have to buy ink cartridges.
-Super easy to fill ink tanks, no mess at all
-Easy setup, I used the paper manual for most of it, but eventually did download the app. I had no issues, it was quick and easy. Do have paper on hand to print a test page.
-Decently quiet. Not whisper quiet when printing (even with "Quiet Mode" enabled), but it's not bad.
-Print over Wifi. Park this wherever in your house and print to it from the same network. i printed from my Android phone without an issue and my Windows PC found the printer easily. No complicated settings.
-The app seems to find my printer pretty easily when I want to check on the printer status
The NOT SO GOOD:
-No Ethernet plug. I'm old school and like to run Ethernet to everything. That's no an option with this printer. It does have USB plug to connect to a computer if that's your thing.
-Bare bones message screen- The LCD screen on this is like a calculator screen. No fancy graphics, no plain English errors messages, just printing lights, some numbers, some icons
-The scanner bar light constantly blinks, even when the printer or scanner is not in use. It blinks about once a second, even with the lid closed and no document on the scanner bed. I don't know why, and researching this issue shows a TON of other folks with the same problem. I hope it doesn't cause premature wear or failure of the scanner light and associated electronics.
-Basic LCD screen means that the app is your only interface for changing advanced settings.
Overall, I do like the printer. The lack of a better (more detailed) screen is annoying, the lack of an Ethernet plug is irksome (but not a big deal for most people these days), and I have no idea what is going on with the scanner light blinking. If it weren't for all 3 of those issues, I( think this would be a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars printer.
That being said, it does a good job printing, set up was a breeze, and I'm super excited about being able to refill it using ink from a bottle. Overall, I'm happy with my order and I'm sure I'll probably forget about half of it's quirks in a month or two from now when all I'm doing is printing without having to think about the printer itself.

Setting up the HP Smart Tank 7001 was a breeze! I just followed the instructions, and in about 15 minutes, everything was good to go. The printer app is super easy to use and makes it simple to understand and manage all the features. It's a great help for controlling print jobs or keeping an eye on the ink levels.

Prints fast, excellent ink capacity, nice output, copy feature. Wow! Drivers were pretty difficult to install. Trouble is that it crashes after about an hour of idle time and can't recover unless I unplug the power. Tech support tried to hep for over an hour...but we just couldn't fix it. Returning. So disappointed.

Decent “All-in-One” Printer
The HP Smart Tank 7001 is a noteworthy “All-in-One” device, providing printing, copying, and scanning features. It came well-packed, which protected all parts and miscellaneous items from damage. It was fairly easy to assemble and configure; however, it took me a couple of tries to configure it to my other mobile devices. I love the wireless and mobile printing feature, and it prints double-sided too! The front panel shows your ink levels, letting you know when you need to refill before running out. The print quality and speed are excellent. However, it doesn’t have a sheet feeder, so you’ll need to manually insert one page at a time. Additionally, the paper tray is flimsy. Overall, it’s a decent “All-in-One” device, and I give it a high 3 stars. I would give it more had it not been for the manual feeding, small issue configuring it, and the flimsy paper tray.

This printer is fantastic! I've tested it with various print tasks, and the quality is impressive, from black and white to grayscale and color prints. Despite its unremarkable design and screen, it's fully equipped to manage large printing jobs. Plus, the inclusion of 2 years' worth of ink with the purchase is a significant bonus. I am writing a review of the hp Smart Tank 7001 wireless All-in-one Ink Tank printer. I received this printer for free in exchange for using it and providing honest feedback on what I thought of it. First, it was extremely easy to setup initially. It guides you through the whole process and basically sets up itself. I frequently use the printing, scanning, and copying functions so this is very versatile. I also like how I can wirelessly control the printer from my phone app. It gives me all of the options that I need and also shows me the status of the printer and current ink levels. Ink printers that I have had in the past have seemed to run out of ink whenever I needed to use it and let me stuck without the ink. This printer seems to solve that by showing all of the ink levels. The wireless also makes it easy for me because I can print from anywhere in my home. The initial amount of ink that they provide seems like a lot and they estimate it can provide up to 8000 color pages from the original bottles. The clarity and vivid colors of the printing is very nice and better than any printer I have used in the past. One thing I did think could be improved was the size of the paper tray of 250 sheets. I would prefer a 500 sheet size because of the amount of printing my family does, but it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, I think this printer will saving me a small fortune on buying ink because it seems like it is efficient in printing and gives me a lot of bang for my buck. To top it all off, this is an environmentally friendly product made with recycled materiels. HP has made a great new product in my opinion.

Out the box ready for basic office work
As a graphic artist I looked forward to the smart tank. I use up ink a lot, all colors, so something that holds a lot of ink seemed great. And that feature is! I no longer would have to mess around with 3rd party continuos systems that are messy and risky to get the bulk ink I need. And for the average printer user I like the idea that it creates far less e waste. The program that is suggested to install for the computer doesn't actually do anything to set up documents (but still needed for drivers of course) and clicking on "print photo" simply opens up windows explorer and windows printer app which is generally horrible for printing complex images. I still have to open my files in my programs so not quite sure what the desktop app is for. Now, most printers when printing in standard mode use less ink and thus blacks will be slightly gray and other colors slightly dull. But the smart tank has no difference between standard and high quality, it's always giving 100% color, which is okay if you're a casual printer user and don't know about these settings. When I try photo/glossy paper it just gets way to vibrant, I'll have to mess with the settings some more. Simple files like cellphone photos seem to print fine. The blues are still a bit too strong and shadows/blacks have a blue hue to it. The best feature I like is the ability to connect the printer directly to the computer without internet wifi, as I don't have it in my house, but it's still wireless! So no cord is needed (less to get in my way yey) I wish the manual was more clear on paper loading but I figured out that special paper needed to be fed in upside down. I was worried if it would be able to handle thick paper, like photo or card stock, since it rolls the paper 180 but it managed fine. Colors from the printer seems to come out very close to the colors on my screen, and after two sittings messing with my files I managed to get my business images adjusted to print out in perfect color! (some didn't even need adjusting!) I look forward to using this for my tshirt business and my transfer paper test (vinyl) came out almost perfect. pure magenta does looks a bit strong, like plum on this paper. I also like it's simple slick design and easy to see ink levels. Pretty cool and fun to set up!

May not be for everyone.
Finally a printer that can handle all our household needs. We print a lot in my household as we are working from home and my wife loves to do craft projects. Printer was very easy to set up out of the box. In all it took about 20 to 25 mins to get the printer set up and get going. While this printer is definitely fast compared to my printer that I had in past but I was expecting it to be faster. The quality is very detailed and everything prints very crisp. The price tag is a little harsh for house hold use unless you are printing a lot. This printer would be ideal for a small business or maybe a small office. The best feature is the ink saving bottles while it will still cost about the same for ink compared to ink cartridges these ink bottles seem like they will last very long time. Over all I am happy with this printer as I received it for a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Love it! I’m so exciting to get this printer. It looks compact and lightweight to carry around. At the same time it’s easy to set up and use. Color is bright and clear on the paper. The important thing is that it can switch seamless to print paper or photographs. It saves me a lot of times.I’m satisfied about speed of printing paper not photographs. As well as the color on the photograph doesn’t look very well. Same issues like my last printer. However, it’s still good. Auto two sided printing and they say that ink can last up to 2 years which save my life. Highly recommended who wanna buy new printer !

I've had the pleasure of using this printer, and I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorites. I had it up and running in no time, and the ease of connecting it to my Wi-Fi network was a pleasant surprise. When it comes to printing, this machine doesn't disappoint. This printer was very easy to set up. The HP program walk you through setting up the printer and gives visuals and step by step instructions. I like the fact that there is a lot of ink so that I don't have to worry about refilling this printer anytime soon. I am very impressed with the quality of the printing. As you can see in the pictures the colors are vibrant and the quality of the photos is great. This makes a great addition to any home office.

I received a free sample of this printer to review. Overall, my experience was good. The digital setup was a little clunky. Ultimately there were a couple of glitches within the app on my iPhone leading me to have to install on my laptop first. If you are not comfortable with technology, this could be a challenge. However the instructions were clear. Installing the ink was mess free. I think the quality of print is decent and the colors vibrant. I have not had any issues printing wirelessly from various devices

Efficient printing
I am very pleased with this printer. I actually enjoyed setting it up because the whole process of filling the ink to installing the print heads made me more aware of what was actually involved in the printing process. I enjoyed the step by step tutorial that the app gave because it showed pictures of exactly where to open and install the different parts. The most difficult part that I had was getting my wifi to connect, but that had nothing to do with the printer. I was able to install the printer with the mobile app and on my laptop, so I can print from anywhere. i liked that it made you test the alignment and then scan the page to make sure that everything was working properly. It tells you when the paper level is low and you can see how much ink you have left. It also monitors your ink levels, so you know exactly where you stand for each color.
I was very happy with the color of the photo that I had printed onto the paper because it looked crisp, clear, and true to the colors. I can't wait to print more colored photos! The multi page printing was great because it printed quickly without any jams or issues.
The buttons are simple to understand since you only have a few. I like that you press a button for a color or copy and a different button for a black and grey copy. I am impressed that there is even a button to print an ID card. I have to say that this particular owner's manual is a lot easier to understand than others I had to try to decipher in the past. I appreciate the instructional look to it because it very easy to troubleshoot and simply understand. I look forward to printing on a regular basis and am thankful for a printer that I feel truly meets my needs.

bought this hp smart tank 7001 printer 2 days ago worked great for 1 1/2 days got rid of the box cause it worked great by the end of the second day it quit working i called the support number that hp offers they were willing to help me if i signed up for a yearly service contract at 79.99 a year i told them i just bought it 2 days earlier from best buy and would take it back if i didnt get rid of the box have a buddy coming over tomorrow he is going to try and reset to factory defaults hopefully that will fix it kinda sad no support from hp and all my computers and everthing i buy for my business is hp i wont do it again

HP smart tank 7001 printer has been extremely awesome to use. Very easy to set up very easy to put the ink in. It came with both of the inks that were needed for this printer and the pictures come out the best I ever had printed out from my home printer. It is very easy to hook up to the Internet very easy to hook up to your mobile device to print out what you need very easy to hook up to your laptop tablets the kids enjoy printing from it very easy for them to use and I like that. I definitely recommend this HP printer to anyone even if they just need it for here and there. The colors are very bright and bold I love all of the features that it has from the printing size to what you can print out how you can print it and you can even send it through the printer. I love that it is Wi-Fi enabled because I can be in any room and just send it right to the printer definitely recommend this HP smart tank 7001 all in one printer. The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer offers superior printing, scanning, and copying capabilities. Using the HP Smart App, setting up the printer from your phone was a smooth process. The printer has good wireless connectivity, and other family members' computers can also print easily via Wi-Fi. In addition, the ink cartridges are refillable, which is very environmentally friendly and easy to operate. There is a small window on the printer so you can see the amount of ink cartridges, which is great.

No more Rocking!
The printer arrived well-packaged and once out of the box, easy to set up. I like that the ink tank capacity can be seen on the front of the printer unit, but I don't like that I can't see how much paper is left because of the paper tray is enclosed and slides into the front of the printer. The printer doesn't "rock" like my old HP did and it's much faster at printing...both of which are big plusses!

First Unit Was Defective
The printer seems to work pretty well, but getting to that point was an ordeal. First, HP sent me a "new" Smart Tank 7001 that didn't work at all. After three hours on the phone with tech support, we determined that it wasn't new at all; it had been returned under warranty as defective, and somebody repackaged it as new without fixing it, and sent it to me. Processing the return/replacement took another hour on the phone with HP. After the second unit arrived and got set up, I'm happy enough with it, but HP really ought to be able to do better by their customers.

Fast and Cheap Color Printing!
I have really been enjoying the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer. It prints really fast (9 pages/minute for color!) and the ink seems to last forever. I've been using it for a bunch of crafts projects and still haven't had to refill yet. The smartphone app is really great and simple. I can print event tickets and photos right from my phone over WIFI. I also like the design, its modern looking at looks very good in our office. I love this printer so much!! The installation process was very simple with several animations to guide you so there is absolutely nothing to go wrong. I printed some documents for my studies and work and everything went smoothly with amazing print quality. I also love the ink shade which allows us to see if there is any ink left in the toner to avoid any low ink issues! I love the versatility of this printer, with color, duplex printing, scanning and copying all done with ease. I found it easy to set up the printer following the comprehensive instructions and had no issues connecting for remote printing. The best part about this printer is that it comes with up to two years of ink. I no longer have to buy expensive ink cartridges, saving time and money.

Expensive, but worth it for the savings
You've probably seen this by now - the printers that have bottles instead of cartridges. It's definitely becoming more mainstream, which is good.
Up front cost on these is way more than your average printer. However, long term savings are real. It really depends how much you print, but even if it's just "here and there", It's still very much worth it to invest the extra to get a refillable printer. Seriously.
This one in particular is great. Prints pages fast, even color. It has a clean design, and a useful app. Connects easily to Wi-Fi is found by all my devices, including iOS, Android, Windows, and Chromebooks.
It has a really interesting way of printing, which is essentially by sucking the ink through hoses, and into (what looks like) totally normal ink cartridges.
I like the way you refill the printer, as it allows you to do so without spilling anything.
As I said before, more money upfront, but it will save you money in the long run.

This printer is FANTASTIC for any use!
3 Days into my purchase and ownership of this printer, and I absolutely love it!
The printer is set up via mobile app "HP Smart". It walks you through the setup process with detailed diagrams and images to insure no mistakes are made through the process.
The Ink bottles are not messy at all, and have a safety mechanism installed on each to ensure mess-free ink installation!
This printer's document quality is amazing, printing crisp texts, almost like a laser printer, and vivid colors in images. The ink included in the box is plenty for my use, given that I do not print too much, but I was rather looking for an economical solution for my printing budget.
Photo printing is extremely easy and super nice quality. When using glossy premium photo paper from HP, this printer really gives an outstanding product. All of my photos printed from this machine are very high quality, rich in color, vivid, and crisp. They all have a super premium feel, almost like I had them professionally printed.
Setup is a little challenging, and step-by-step inclusive. However, this printer comes with detailed instructions that walk you through the process.
The copy function could use a bit more work, as in scan quality of the flatbed glass. The maximum DPI resolution that the printer supports for scanning documents is 600x600 DPI, however, this should not hold you back, as the copy function still serves a very important purpose!
I would recommend this printer to anyone looking to print photos, documents, or brochures at a very low cost, as this machine supports almost every glossy, premium, or regular paper. The print settings also are extremely versatile and revolve around the user's preference.
Each ink is super high-quality, giving a rich color per print. This printer is a great investment for anyone looking to save money per page printed.

Efficient Printer
When I received my new printer I was so nervous to open it. Ive never had anything like this before, its features are very high-tech.
The connectivity of the printer to my wifi router, Mac laptop, phone, and iPad was easy to set up. I just had to download the hp app in each device and from there it was easy to navigate and use.
I love how it has both refillable ink and ink cartridges. I feel secure that when I am working on a big project I don't have to worry about ink running out because there is a reserve of extra ink.
The print quality is spot on! The ink does not smear on the paper and the graphics are similar to how it looks like on your computer.
The HP Smart App is very easy to use. I love it. I downloaded the app, made sure the bluetooth on my device was connected to ensure it successfully paired to the printer. After that, my hp smart account registered the information of the printer so I never really had to input numbers or bar codes, it was all done through wifi and bluetooth services.
The speed of printing is fast, printing this simple math worksheet for my students took about 10 seconds.

Professional Grade Printer
The HP Smart Tank Printer is built very well and looks great! It was so easy filling the ink tanks with the spill proof ink bottles. I have an older computer and no WIFI so I went to the website to be directed on the installation of the printer and the directions were easy to understand and the installation was super easy. I like how you can see the ink levels on the front of the printer and so far, after doing a ton of printing, the ink levels have barely moved. If I could make one recommendation, it would be very helpful if there was an slot in the rear for printing as well as my previous printer had one that I left set for printing envelopes so I didn't have to constantly change the paper drawer dimensions. I am sold on the ink bottle refills!
The HP Smart Tank 7001 is my first experience with a wifi printer and I'm so excited!
The printer was easy enough to set up. I added the HP Smart app on my iPhone and followed the directions. I was nervous about the ink bottles spilling or dripping, but I had no reason to be. There wasn't a drop anywhere but where it needed to go. It's a great idea to have the ink windows so you can see how much is left.
Once the printer was set up on my network, I could print to it from my laptop and phone. So great! I used to have to move everything to plug into my old printer! This printer is so convenient! I like the modern and minimal design too.
I printed a photo off my phone and showed it to my fiance. He said, "that's cute"...then I told him I printed it on the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer and he said, "Wow!"
I am impressed with the print quality on the photo paper. It truly looks like a photograph! The few things I printed so far look great and printed pretty quickly.

This printer is a compact, sleek looking printer that functions great as a home printer. The quality of the prints, scans, and copies are excellent. Printer is quiet and quick. Increasing the quality of scans does take longer, but able to manage on default settings and still get great quality scans. The large, refillable ink reservoirs make for eco-friendly ink replacements and less frequent need to purchase ink. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a home printer.

The printer that arrived was brfoek out of the box, as was confirmned through lots of tech support. Was told that my options were to return and then wait for all of the processing and stuff to get a replacement- likely weeks away; or pay for another and then wait for my first to be refunded. The thing also felt very cheaply made and flimsy, so I just returned it for a refund.

Color Printing is Finally Affordable
It’s been over a decade since I’ve owned a color printer because the cost to print was so high. Now, with the HP Smart Tank 7001, I don’t hesitate printing full-page color photos and documents. The two year supply of included black and color inks gives me peace of mind not to worry about how much each page is going to end up costing in ink. The setup is straightforward and takes about 5-10 minutes using the HP Smart app. I have a fairly complex home network and I was able to connect the printer to my wifi and configure it without issue. I can easily print from my smartphone using the HP Smart app or through my desktops and laptops. The HP Smart app is simple and intuitive and allows you to print photos and documents from your phone as well as control the scanner or make copies. The design of the printer is sleek and compact and it looks great in my home office. The printing quality is great and crisp and print speed is very fast even for full page color prints. The scanning and copying is fast and the output is high resolution and looks great. The borderless printing option is quite nice and leaves only about ?” of white space around the edges. I’m very excited to start working on several personal projects I have been putting off until now.

Eco friendly printer with amazing print quality
Setting up the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer was really easy. In fact, installing the HP smart app should be the first thing you do. Once you do that and set up or log into your HP account, it's as easy as signing into the app, plugging in your printer, turning it on, searching for your printer and having the app walk you through the install and connect process step by step (seriously, my mother could do this and she's not very good with tech).
The installation process via the app walks you through adding the ink, installing both print heads, as well as printer calibration. By using tanks that store ink - you'll find yourself refilling ink instead of installing a new ink cartridge every time (this leads to lots of plastic waste reduced). I love that this printer is eco friendly.
The ink refill process is surprisingly mess free. If you're like me, it sounds like it'd be messy to pour ink into a tank, but the bottle tips are sealed so you just tip the bottle upside down and push down on the refill tank tips . It'll puncture the sealed bottle tips, so you just hold your bottle upside down until it's empty (as a bonus you can satisfyingly watch the tanks fill up through the clear window). Once that's done, it's as simple as lifting the empty bottle off and closing the lid again.
With the ink filled, print heads installed, and calibration completed, I went to print a picture off my phone (a graphic that will end up on my son's shirt). As expected, the printer showed up immediately as a print option. I printed the picture and the design came out beautifully. The picture was crisp and clear - colors beautiful and rich. Since this graphic will end up being worn - those things were really important.
Overall, this printer was really easy to set up. It's also eco friendly and the ink refill is mess free. Once you add in the amazing print quality, it's a no brainer to recommend this product.

Great Upgrade for Home Office
I have have been in the market for a new printer and this one is such an upgrade. The HP Smart Tank 7001 uses thermal inkjet technology which is amazing for home office use, as well as our homeschool projects. I love the simple and spill free ink refill option, it is definite different than our other printer with the cartridges but I am excited to see how long these last. It says up to 2 years. The app technology is extremely useful for our home office use and makes completely project so easy. I am so impressed with this printer and highly recommend it.

This printer is a lifesaver! It does everything you need: printing, copying, scanning, and it even has automatic two-sided printing. Plus, the best part is it comes with up to 2 years of ink, so you won't be running out anytime soon. Awesome printer!!
The printer was everything I expected and more. The setup instructions were easy to understand, and loved that you have the option to see step-by-step video if you want. The reason I purchased another printer was because my HP 6700 would not connect to my wifi network and after purchasing new printer cartridges, the print was still light. I didn't have the time to troubleshoot because I needed a home printer ASAP, so went online, found this one, loved the idea of refillable tanks instead of the cartridges, so purchased, and have been satisfied ever since. Oh and it connected to my wifi network effortlessly.

We had a classic ink All-in-one printer and then we decided to change. Was an excellent change for us. We choose HP Smart -Tank 7001. Easy to assemble. The quality and colors are fantastic, vivid! My husband has all forms and docs printed clear and quick. I am a craft woman, I love to crochet and I need to print my patterns with all colors and details possible and now I have it, in vivid and real colors! You can easy monitor the use, as you can visualize the tanks. The printer has a set of ink is up to 2 years included.

I am amazed by the great quality of this printer. It literally took me 5 minutes to download the app and installing the ink. The ink bottles are huge !!!! I believe would last me the whole year. About the printer quality: it’s clear and didn’t leave the page with any sight of wetness. I even print my baby pictures and it was awesome. Easily got connected to my WiFi and could send print orders through my phone. I’m not that computer savvy and I can tell you it was very easy.

Impressive printer
Print quality is great. Very easy to use, it is impressive! The ink was very easy to fill, pretty clean process. It is also nice that the printer includes all the ink. Can easily print from any device including my phone. The only thing we needed to keep in mind is to have paper in the printer since the installation process requires paper to be in the tray in order to print wifi instructions to be able to connect the printer to your wifi. Very happy with the product! Highly recommend particularly because of the print quality and ease of use.

This printer is the best printer I ever used, love it so much . Lightweight still very solid product. Easy to connect with devices save me a lot of time. Two years of ink is very important for me don’t have to worry running out of ink . Filling ink without dirt my hand that was awesome. This is the first double printing printer I’m using so cool. Tank style printer rocks!
So far so good. Had it two weeks and it is printing sharp and distinct print quality.
Fast and quiet compared to my 10 year old printer. Ink levels show on front of printer for easy viewing. Buttons for printing and scanning on top front. Scanner works well and HP Smart App is super easy to use. Prints from all my devices remotely. Highly recommend HP products.

What I feared when chose to stick with HP after past tech experiences.
Purchased 3 weeks ago. Now every day every light it has flashes, computer can't find it, it's frozen. Won't even turn off. When you unplug it and force it off it won't come back on. After hours of waiting it will finally turn on again and print fine - until the next day when it does it again. Can't get any help with tech. Worthless to me at this point. I put email on my chat asking someone to contact me or answer my actual issue. Nothing. I gave it a 2 because it does print beautifully but the ink levels are not going to be what they say, the paper tray is a fight and nothing to keep the paper pushed forward and as it shakes half way through a project it's pulling paper late then 2-3 sheets at a time. Someone just please tell me why the lights go spastic every day.

Great Printer
I have always been a fan of HP growing that was the only brand we would use. I was happy to receive a printer to test and review and honestly it still stay true that HP is the leading brand for me. One of the main things that I appreciated of this product was the wireless capability. I never close to anything and always on the go so the fact that I can be within a distance of the printer made a difference instead of being connected how it used to be before while growing up.

Great Home Printer
This printer is rather plain to look at, and made with some kind of flimsy plastic parts, but the things that it can do are amazing! I can't wait to try out all of the features, but so far I've been impressed with it's ability to let me print from anywhere, and the quality of the prints are great. It's relatively fast and not very loud. I LOVE that I don't have to deal with cartridges that dry up. The printer itself was easy to set up, and the ink was fast and easy to load. The small LCD information panel is really hard to read. The only other thing I have issue with is that the app doesn't always work (this seems to be a major issue with HP according to others' reviews). I don't know that the price point is quite fair at $400.
I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Perfect Quality!
I am super excited with my new HP Smart Tank 7001 Series!
Package arrived on time and in good shape. No damages even it comes on its original box.
Setting up was effortless. I like how I have to add the inks and its messed free. Set up instruction guide was so easy to follow. If you are not techy, you would still get it. Just follow each step and it has pictures in it if you needed.
The quality of the print is absolutely perfect! This would perfectly work for me as not only I print documents for work, but I like to print images and do art crafts.

Works good so far
So far the printer works great for what i’ve done so far. I did have some problems connecting my ipad to it for printing but after calling support I found out that the WiFi range is very limited. Once I moved to the same room the printer was in it worked fine. Still haven’t figured out how to print photos or envelopes, but it’s supposed to do it so I’ll figure it out.

Unbelievable Fast!
I am excited that I received a free sample of the HP Smart Tank 7001 All-in-One Printer. This HP smart Tank printer has unbelievable amazing new technology. I can use my Wifi to operate it wireless and not to mention the fast pace of the printing. It comes with 35 pages auto document feeder. I just love it.

Good, reliable light duty printer.
Good all around printer with enough ink to last a year or more for the average user. Quality of construction is on the "cheap" side. Flimsy paper tray, thin walled plastic construction on paper tray and body of printer. Must be careful in moving printer once loaded with ink as leakage might occur.
Would not recommend for heavy duty printing, only light everyday printing is recommended.
Reasonably priced compared to other ink tank printers.

Very easy and quick setup.
Setting this printer up was very easy and took about 5 minutes from start to finish.
It has not given me any issues at all. The colors are sharp and vibrant and the print speed is great. The user interface is extremely efficient. The printer has a sleek modern look, which makes it not just a utility, but a decoration even.
Since having the printer, I have been nothing but impressed by the quality, quietness, and overall improvement of my work life.

My review of this printer
It is my first time of using HP smart tank printers. I was surprised that the way how they refill the ink. It’s with four ink bottles with screws cap. It is very clean process to refill the ink. The old printer I had always gets my hands dirty when I refill them. The setup and installation process is also straightforward. It is simple and mess free. Only took me 10 mins to set it up. The reason that I give it for four stars is because the cost of this printer is little bit expensive. For me as a student is not affordable. Thank you for insiders community for giving me this opportunity to trying out this printer. Saved my wallet and my time for looking for a good printer. My old printer is retired now. :)

Easiest Set-Up
This HP printer printed beautifully and was shockingly easy to get set up. I was a little concerned at first that the process of filling the tanks may be messy or difficult. I was pleasantly surprised that the app walks you through every part of the setup, making it super simple and easy. The whole process took less than 20 minutes and was stress-free. The app ensured that each part of the setup process was completed correctly. I was impressed with both the speed and the quality of the printing, it was excellent. I can't wait to complete some projects around my house, using this printer.

Okay Printer, No Frills, Odd Scanner Issue
Overall, this is a decent printer and setup was easy. I love that it has ink tanks instead of ink cartridges. That's great, but in the current printer market, I think you need to be better than "decent" to get 4 or 5 stars.
The three main drawbacks I have with this printer:
1) No Ethernet connection. Wifi is working fine, but I'd rather have a hardwired connection
2) The display screen is like a 1993 calculator. You need to use the app (which works alright) to really navigate the menu and adjust settings. My kid's toy camera has a color screen and a decent menu interface, I don't know why this printer doesn't.
3) The scanner bed light does this weird thing where it blips on once a second, every second. Whether the printer is in standby, just finished printer, no matter-- as long as it is plugged in, the scanner bed light blinks. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the functionality of the printer, but I do worry about this quirk shortening the scanner bed light lifespan.

Great addition to a home office
I am very impressed with this printer. I've used laser printers my entire life an this has by far been the easiest, fastest, and simplest printer I have ever used. The color is really good. I like how fast it prints, and it's a pretty durable machine. I'm excited to see how well the ink holds up over a period of time.

Overall, we really like the printer, can print from
Any device. We had an issue setting it up at first, until we realized that the printer didn't have paper to print wifi password and instructions. The print quality is great. Set it up with mac, windows, Iphone. Hp smart print app works great. I would recommend the printer, particularly taking into account that it has ink included that will last a long time. Also, it doesn’t take too much space on our desk.

Consistent printing
I am very pleased with the consistency of clear documents and photos that this printer prints. I have had zero issues with some documents being clear and others being faded. The prints have been consistent.ly crisp and well-defined.
The prints has been clear and vivid and efficiently quick. I have found this printer useful for black and color. I have printed documents, recipes, and pictures. I am very happy with the wireless setup because I can print something I see online before I lose the page while in another room. I am very happy with the copy feature as it copies clearly.
I am very happy with the liquid bottles that you pour in versus other forms because it has lasted so much longer so far. The setup was a breeze as we didn't run into any issues. I have not encountered any issues with printing so far, but the troubleshooting section is clear as to what the icons mean. I like the way the printer looks, the ease of use, the longer lasting ink, and the quality and speed of printing.

This printer changed everything.
I’m was doubtful that a printer that claims to not need ink for two years would do a good job. However, this printer eased my doubts. The copies are smooth and clear, full of the color I want. I print a lot of quilt patterns, and it’s important for the colors to be crisp and clear. This all-in-one does the job well. Learning to scan was a breeze. I would definitely recommend the HP Smart Tank 7001 to friends and family. In fact, my husband has since bought one for his office, as well!

Versatile and affordable printer!
This HP 7001 ink tank printer works really well so far and I would definitely recommend it.
The printer needs to be set up before first time use, and the process is all carefully guided and I found the instructions on the app really easy to follow. So I didn't struggle to get it to work.
One highlight of the printer is the mobile app that comes with it, HP smart, where you can not only configure the printer but also print from your phone, scan to your phone and even mobile fax your documents. A big plus for the printer.
I tested the printer and printed a couple of photos on plain paper, and found the colors are vivid and crisp, and the boundless printing feature is really handy. Would definitely get some photo paper to print out my photos at home.
The printer comes with ink tanks, making printing really affordable.
So far my experiences with the printer is all positive -- love the printer.

A great addition to our homeschool office
I have been using the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer for about a week and so far I love it.
It was really easy to setup, the manual takes you through step-by-step. I downloaded the HP app and this also helped with the setup.
It was really simple to fill the ink tanks and I much prefer this to traditional ink cartridges. It is better for the environment and your pocket. I like the small windows which show you how much ink is in each tank.
I have been able to print directly from my phone and the PC. It is quick to print and the copies are clear and bright.
This is the perfect printer for our home - we homeschool and print a lot of documents, this will be a time and money saver for us.

Advertised OS compatibility
Just got the printer up and running on a new Windows 10 Lenovo. Having to upgrade/replace my computer (Windows 7) was a surprise however because your promotional specs indicate the 7300 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10.
I'm happy with the system but you need to update your literature to indicate you no longer support any OS but 10 and higher.

Finally Long Last Ink
I feel like printers have not changed much over the years until recently. The HP Smart Tank ink lasts so much longer now that you are filling tanks instead of cartages that printers have been using for years. Not only does this keep me from always buying ink, but it also is better for the environment as I am not always throwing away old cartages which I always felt was wasteful. The printer was very easy to set up on my home network and has a nice modern compact look to it which makes it great for the office or home office. The printer also features the all-in-one must-haves of scanning, copying and printing. You can do this from your computer, printer or even your phone via the app. The print quality is great and if you buy some photo paper it even does a great job printing pictures from my cellphone. Overall I am very pleased with my new printer and the large ink tanks it has. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Easy to Set Up; Easier to Use
The printer is definitely one of those "so far, very good" products! It was easy to set up and connect to all of the devices on my home network. I'm eager to see how the print technology holds up and compares to the ink jet printers that I have used for so many years. It IS a bit pricey of a printer, but I was able to purchase it using some discounts that I'd accrued and were available to me.

Really Nice Machine
I was so excited to get this little printer. I really like ink well printers and have had a few others. This one was super easy to set up with the help of the (free) phone app, I believe I had it out of box and printing within about 20 minutes. Another nice thing with this inkwell printer is that filling up the wells was simple and mess free. Not even one drop leaked out of the ink bottles. The alignment step was also really easy. The nice thing about this printer vs others I've had is that it prints and scans its own alignment sheet so I didn't have to guess at which lines looked the most straight or which dashes were the best. That was a game changer. It hooked up to Wi-Fi pretty much instantly too! The colors look really bright when coming out of the machine and the blacks are nice and dark. I highly recommend this printer to anyone who wants an easy to set up device that won't give you a headache!!

Cost-Efficient Upgrade: from HP 8720 to 7001
As a long-time HP printer user, I previously owned the OfficeJet Pro 8720 all-in-one printer, which I was quite happy with, though it did tend to go through ink rather quickly. This prompted my switch to the HP Smart Tank 7001. I must say, the Smart Tank 7001 has been a game changer in terms of reducing my printing costs significantly. Additionally, its more compact size is a huge plus, making it a perfect fit for my home office. It makes my life so much easier!!
My work requires me to constantly have material printed and work along, and this printer makes my life so much easier. I can remotely connect to this printer from anywhere in the house and don't need to worry about standing in front of the printer and make sure everything was running well. The package came with the entire supply and instruction is very easy to understand and follow. The most important thing is the printing speed and quality is so good and the sound is minimal. I love this printer, and it's the best one I've ever had so far!

No more cartridges
I received a free sample of the HP Smart Tank 7001 All-in-One Printer and it exceeded my expectations. I was already in the process of looking into a new printer ( my former printer was an HP as well) and I know that they are quality (old one still works) just slow and costly for the ink cartridge's. I first read the box after it was delivered and was still on the are you really going to do "ALL THAT" seriously. Surprisingly it held true to the box claims. My wife and I print a lot. Especially since my wife is primarily working from home now. The printing speed is not as fast as I thought it would be but the quality is unmatched. I've been printing since I got it in the mail and it is doing great. The capacity of the ink is surreal. I'm going to enjoy this for months before I have to purchase new tanks. I will not have to remove cartridges and shake them up for that last little bit to print on a sheet of paper. Wow what a relief. Definitely a great buy.

This actually printed one time. It is in error state. It was out of warranty before it was connected. It is a needless expense and has taken time (4 hours on- line with H/P.) There apparently was no warranty as H/P claimed it was "out of warranty.") I burned the box it came in I had always trusted H/P and saw no need to keep it. I am so disappointed in this product. Such a waste of time and money and yet I have no printer that works. I am not able at this time to buy another printer. It will have to wait for another S.S. check. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I loved this printer! The installation process is very easy, guided with several animations - so there's absolutely no room to error!
Also, I started to print some documents for school and everything went very smooth - great print quality! I recommend this printer for anyone looking for a multifunctional printer.
I also like the ink visor, that allows us to see if there's still ink in the toner - avoiding any problems of running low!

To be honest I did not try the printer. It most likely worked just fine. My reason for returning it was that it did not have an automatic document feeder. It surprises me that all printers don't have this as rarely what I ever have just one page to copy, by scanning on the glass. Usually there is more than one page double-sided. Imagining scanning each of those by hand would take some time. That is my only con to this printer as I did not take it out and try it

Expensive, minimalistic, but a power house within
Let me start by saying that this printer costs $400 and when you look at it, it's minimalistic at the best and doesn't look fancy at all for $400. But don't let that fool you of you are looking for a dependable partner to your daily needs. This printer is a power house. It connects easily to the modern dual band wifi with no qualms at all. Stays connected and in sleep mode for printing from anywhere. It's mobile app is wonderful and filled with many features, specially the mobile fax and I love that. It can print the whole day without complaining and uses ink very efficiently, this reducing my power page cost. Highly recommend it.

I purchased the HP Smart-Tank 7001 Wireless All-in-One Printer, and from the start, I've been incredibly satisfied with this excellent printer. The HP Smart app, guided and helped me, with clear and direct, animated visuals that demonstrated each step of getting the Smart Tank set up. The ease of installation, and being able to see the ink levels in the Smart Tank, is especially cool! The HP Smart Tank 7001 has been a terrific home printer. Following the instructions, it was easy to set up and I love the wireless connection to all of my devices. I have appreciated how quickly and efficiently the printer turns out all my paperwork. With the one printer I can print, scan and copy. I love that the printer offers double sided and color printing too. This is my first printer with cartridge free ink and I am never going back. The ink was easy to fill and will last up to two years. Quality output at a reasonable price
The HP Smart Tank 7001 provides exactly what we need for printing as a family. After some initial struggles in setting the printer up we were able to produce high quality prints and copies to suit our needs.
On top of the quality, at a reasonable price, the thought of never having to buy a printer cartridge again is a breath of fresh air.
