Celebrating Pride by Embracing and Promoting LGBTQ+ Inclusion

In celebration of Pride Month in June, our Business Resource Alliance Valuing Equality (BRAVE) Business Resource Group (BRG) in North America and our PRIDE+ BRG in the U.K. hosted activities and events to educate fellow coworkers on issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community and promote inclusion.

Programming organized under the theme of “Family Matters” included:

  • BRAVE BRG members provided tips on being an authentic LGBTQ+ ally in the workplace on our Life at CDW blog
  • A coworker panel discussion to increase understanding of the beauty and hardships that families with LGBTQ+ members may encounter in their daily lives
  • A keynote presentation in which global LGBTQ+ rights activists shared their family’s story as well as some of the unique ways LGBTQ+ families survive and thrive in different countries

Pride Month is observed each June in recognition of the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City, which served as a rallying point for gay rights in the United States. BRAVE and PRIDE+ host networking, informal mentoring and professional and leadership development opportunities throughout the year. 

CDW is proud to be recognized for the fifth year in a row as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality, earning a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index.
