Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well... Purchased 27 Jan 2016 and while I love the sound, I've had to do a factory reset twice, (averaging so far about once a month). Having only owned a cell phone since right before that, I don't know if it's normal to have to periodically reset BT connections or not, didn't stop me from buying a second one though. I'm anxious to pair them and see how things go, (currently visiting relatives out of state and the second one is waiting for me at home). Hoping for a great summer around the pool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review -Overall solid build. -Quality and craftsmanship is all there. -I think you need the ability to change the settings when you want, ie bass, mids and highs etc etc. Every song doesn't have the same sound so having this option would be nice. Maybe something in an application based setting where you could play with it to suit your taste/like. -Speaker output on both sides would be nice as well vs sound just sound from the jbl logo side. What about people that are behind the speaker but the sound is facing away? Should be all around in my opinion. -The ability to skip to the next track would be nice. If I'm in the pool and want to skip tracks but my phone is away, I have to get out of the pool to change it.

Also, there is a bass trade off when you turn up the volume, the bass fades out. Lastly, they could have put a lanyard ring on this somewhere, how hard would that have been.

I put it in my vest while riding my sea doo, used on boat, outdoors, and even dipped it into the lake you see if it was really waterproof. Great sound. Want to buy a Couple of more, so I can have a louder system. Would like a tad louder.(am 50 and still like loud music Very pleased.

The phone charger worked well, not sure if it drains faster. I'd think it would. Overall pleased, haven't gotten wet, scares me that charging door would pop open, and fry unit. So trying to keep moist at most

No distortion at max volume which is surprisingly loud. The battery life is more than I ever need in a day. The Bluetooth syncs immediately with my iPhone every time. I decided by listening to some of the you tube video comparisons with headphones. I am very pleased.

I did a lot of research listening to many others but I really liked the sound of the Charge 2. Once I checked the website and saw a Charge 3 I ordered it. My wife loves the teal color, she also really likes the sound and was really impressed by it considering the size. The battery life is great and I can't remember the last time it was on the charger. I highly recommend this product and I may be buying more.

Batteries in both pretty much fully charged, which was convenient and a nice feature. Linking the two together was very simple. Worked the first time as did the Bluetooth connection. It also sits perfectly on any surface. Even though it looks completely round - it has a bit of a lip so that it doesn't roll all over the place.

Only 1 thing that I struggle with (and I cringe every-time) that the noise it make when you turn it on or off or connect to it. Seemingly you can;t do anything about it. Now I should say that I also use it in the office as a conference phone, l a good one too, but that boot-up sounds is too much!! However, it still get 5 stars, in reality this is a cracking speaker, for work and home

I also liked the fact that by altering volume on one speaker it adjusts both in sync.

I live in a 1600 sqft condo and it plenty loud to fill my entire unit. Loud enough to throw a party and entertain. The battery life is phenomenal. I have been playing it for about 3 hrs everyday for the last 7 days and the battery meter has only decreased by 1 bar out of 5! It's the energizer bunny. I like to use this speak while watching Netflix on my PC, and while listening to Pandora on my cellphone.

Where it *really* shines is outside. Crank it up and WOW! Clear with plenty of bass and mid range. Really, seriously nice. First full charge lasted at least 20 hours of play time. Haven't tried the waterproof features and don't want or plan to. The on/off audio signal is unnecessary (and too loud. The standard not-loud duo tone would suffice (low-high for on, high-low for off). Definitely a happy consumer, and so much so it inspired me to write this review. Oh, and they shipped me two Yankees tickets for tomorrow's game. Nice promo, and thanks, but NYC is not my cuppa tea.

I'm going to bring this to our lake house and I free it falling off the boat etc. So being water proof is amazing, however, how would I retrieve it? I'm thinking ahead and there should be opening to clip a waterproof float strap to it so if it does fall I can still grab it with the float strap. Just a thought. If you do this and make money I would like a chunk to pay my school loan off haha Otherwise is fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery doesn't work Bought the Charge3 yesterday, and put it charging right away. Once the battery was full I deconnected it from the charger, and tried putting it on. This didn't work so I reconnected it, put it on and made connection with my IPhone. Everything worked until I removed the charger again, which immediately shut down the Charge3. So my wireless device isn't wireless at all. (Hadn't it charging over light and tried again this noon without any luck)

I have two JBL Charge 3s and in reviews, they are supposed to link seamlessly, mine however bounce the music back and forth for a little and then connect, sometimes one speaker will just drop the music completely. When the feature does work, the sound is amazing! Even using a single speaker has great sound!

I find myself constantly struggling to eq settings but cannot tighten up the muddy and loose bass end. Firmware update anxiously waiting. PS what good is loud if I can't get tight clean sound.

This is the best portable speaker ever made very good sound quality the bass is just right no other portable speakers could even come close I truly recommend this beautiful speaker to people that want to really enjoyed listing to music and having partys. Very good jbl I love the way it looks and sound. If you are looking for portable speaker don't go for non other but the charge 3 Because it is the best out there for now.

I bring it to concerts and play music after the show let's out while walking to car and everyone loves it. Highly recommend this speaker out of all the others! Only one that doesn't sound like it's coming from inside a box.

While this is not going to blow anyone away who has decent home and car audio...it does provide good sound quality for low and medium volume music for small parties inside and outside. Extremely portable(obviously and battery life is very good. I would not hesitate to buy it again

The sound is loud too. Works well for a backyard party. Plenty of sound even for a large group of people. Also perfect for the early Sunday morning music with the family. I will be purchasing another for our house so we can pair as well. Well worth it!

I tried the Flip 3 which is also a fantastic speaker (it is smaller and has a carry string - great portability and sound) but the Charge 3 has deeper bass and of course will charge a device while playing. I am getting another Charge 3 so I can play in stereo with the JBL connect app.

Charge 3 sound crystal clear and for its size produces nice clean base. Distorted a little near max volume but that can be expected. Battery lasts as long if no longer than advertised at medium volume level. Quality is outstanding solid construction. I do worry about charging door leaking and or overtime not sealing correctly or breaking off. Definitely find a EQ helpsychological sound even more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is it buzzing..... The sound has been messy since I got it in June. I had a charge 2+ and the sound was balanced. This one sounds like the bass shakes the entire sound. The sound is just shaky. They improved with how loud it can go but not by much. It also has a more even bass range but recently it started buzzing. The bass drivers on the charge 3 are the same as the ones on the charge 2+ but now they're forced to do more. They're not built for this. There's no reason why after 2 months of ownership that the speaker is BUZZING. There is STATIC. I'm salty. I would reccomend the charge 2+ over this.

I tried buying another 2 but it seems they stop making them and forced me to buy the charge 3. It's louder but the sound quality isn't better everyone tells me the think my charge 2 was better at the parties and on the cruises and beach parties I agree I wish they bring the charge 2 back or make the charge 3 better quality sound.

Jbl app updates work bluetooth connects all the time and is stable. When using as a phone calls are clear. Haven't got it wet but that feature was more for peace of mind when on holiday by thr pool. Colour is really cool too. Just wish it came with a nice carry bag.charges phone well and battery lasts ages. Well chuffed though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from May be waterproof but... I have had my charge 3 since christmas of 2016 and believe me i love it. There is really only one problem. Jbl says it waterproof which it is but i literally submerged mine in less than a foot of water for less than 5 seconds just to see if it lived up to the standard but after i took it out and it completly dried, it now has a static sound when the bass kicks that is coming from the speaker. Its not completly noticable when listening to music but it is annoyingly noticable when watching movies when connected to it. Its a great speaker by all means but i HEAVILY advise to whoever reads this to not submerge it in water. It may not completly break but putting this speaker underwater doesnt make me feel comfortable anyways.

The mids and highs are not as clear as I would've liked, but I found it can be easily fixed by slightly tweaking the equalizer on my phone. Chose charge 3 over similarly priced options from other manufacturers. I think this one has the best value for the money.

It's water proof and you can take it in the pool. Over all though I think that if you are going to buy a portable speaker the jbl charge 3 is the way to go

Not only can you choose a different and vibrant colour but you can bring it anywhere including the beach and poolside. The audio quality is great and excellent value for money. I use mine a few hours a day EVERYDAY and probably charge it once a week if that, so the battery life is great. Finally as my buddy had another Charge 3 we synced them up very easily and we were able to bring the party. Defiantly recommend the Charge 3. Enjoy

The low end is nice and sharp and the highs are smooth. The best part about this speaker is the Waterproof and long battery. I charge my speaker every other week after long hours of play. It's nice having a speaker that last longer than 8 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bass is poppin! I bought this a couple of weeks ago as i needed a much louder speaker to (fill a dance studio) than the one i had. I'd read about this and the fact that it 10 times louder than my current speaker with great reviews encouraged me to buy it. It is great, much louder but perhaps not as loud as I'd imagined. The bass is excellent and i love that you can pause and play from the speaker direct. The waterproof feature is a bonus too.

I took it on holiday with me to Tenerife and my friends commented on it and they were impressed by it. It has very good quality sound and goes pretty loud, And the build quality is really good, Solid. it is ideal for use around the pool or on the beach. The battery it first class it lasts for ages. I only paid £99 for it from JBL website and it has been money well spent.

This speaker hits high notes and has ground shaking bass. The sound is clear and precise and does not break like other speakers. Another plus is that it is water resistant. I can use it next to the pool and not worry about it getting splashed or even knocked in. Overall 5/5 would recommend.

Turns out it is more than loud enough which means I can easily hear it with my ear protection in. My coworkers are and I are really surprised how loud this gets. It sounds really powerful for its size, quite bass heavy, but I listen to dance music so it suits me. The battery is really long lasting unless you charge your phone at the same time. Having only owned a cell phone since right before that, I don't know if it's normal to have to periodically reset BT connections or not, didn't stop me from buying a second one though. I'm anxious to pair them and see how things go, (currently visiting relatives out of state and the second one is waiting for me at home). Hoping for a great summer around the pool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid product I bought this JBL Charge for my girlfriend for Christmas because I loved my JBL Charge 2 and it seems just as excellent with the exception of I thought the mid-range tone was to high resulting in it not sounding a "soft" as the tone of my Charge 2 which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, would still recommend it over pretty much any other Bluetooth speaker in it's class, I personally would love to purchase the JBL Extreme and see what that's like given JBL makes an excellent product.

The bass this thing gives out is crisp and clear, however its nothing like an Excision show. (150,000 watts I've gotten several of my friends to buy JBL products. I cannot wait to see what the Charge 4 has in store.

I own the JBL Xtreme too and this one is the younger brother. Very compact and long lasting battery. I like the phone and voice features. Quite loud for its size, can easily fill the room with great sound. Brilliant extra features, like being able to charge your phone from it. I live in Florida so spring and summer is spent pool side and at the beach A LOT!! it's incredible to have a speaker and that is completely waterproof.l, I don't have to worry about my 18 month niece taking it and running with it. the speaker goes up to the perfect volume....I can play my Spotify playlists too. I love it!!

In my book, "multiple" means more than two. However, after wasting hours of my time updating the software and getting them placed exactly where they are supposed to go, I call JBL and speak to a snide "product specialist" who informed me that the limitation is 2, but they are working on a software update that "might". This affects the Charge 3 and not the Flip 4 which works fine.

Simple way to connect. Issues while connected to devices via Bluetooth 4.0 - When streaming content via a wifi connection, the Internet freezes while connected to the speakers. The streaming works fine if the speakers are connected via the minijack connection. Using a 4.1 bluetooth device the problem with the streaming was not detected.

Yes if you change the eq on your phone to bassy it will sound bassy! Essentially it depends what you play. It's clear and crisp whilst surprisingly loud. We got two for a camping holiday with 20 of us. When linked they are even better.

The frequency range is great, especially the low range which is very good for such a small speakers. The sound is soft and nice. They are would enough and capable to operate more than 10 hours. Also the option to connect up to 3 devices and to sync two speaker systems wirelessly makes it great solution for person who travels or want to save space.

Previous issues with older models have been addressed and corrected and don't exist in the Charge 3, great job JBL! The waterproof ratings allow me to take it anywhere and not have to worry about the weather. Just purchased a second one so I can use JBL Connect to operate both of them in stereo mode on my deck during summer parties.

At home I connect it to my TV when I want to watch movies and get that extra bass and movie feel. The battery life is amazing, before making the purchase my friend let me borrow his for a few mins and what sold me was the bass and sound quality. I've only had it for a week and I'm happy I purchased it, I hope the feeling is the same in December.

The speaker still worked even under water. The best waterproof speaker ever. My friends were all impressed and are planning to get one themselves.

I just bought myself the charge 3 Bluetooth speaker and I had it for about a day now and it sounds great and I still have plenty of battery life left and I have been using it all day. It's compact has all the feature you need and it's not even that big. It is compact, long hours of playtime, it can serve as a power bank because it can charge any device using USB for continuous playing, Its waterproof and it can fill a whole room with sound especially if you are living on a apartment and of course the bass punch and great value for your money

Very simple to pair with phone and can have 3 people connected at any one time. I have seen and used lesser quality speakers and seen great loops for securing an expensive speaker to a raft/boat or anything. I would check with the R & D department to make sure they know what they're doing.

What I have learned from having this speaker is that JBL are masters of bass. This is also the most durable speaker ever. This is 100% water proof. I know it says it could go about 3.3 feet deep in water (around 1 meter for my metric friends But i could get it around 5 feet (1.5 meters). Rate 10/10 on speaker i am excited for their next one!!!

A month later I was greatful to be able to bump music and charge my phone without worrying about water! Overall this speaker gots it all! The only thing i wish it really had was a handle to carry while walking... I use this everywhere I go and I can't express how much I love it! You can even pair to other charge and it's like a full party.

Gives about 15 hours of listening time on a charge. When the battery is getting low, one of the front LEDs begins flashing red, at which point you have about an hour of listening time remaining before the unit automatically shuts off.

The next day any bass causes to speakers to distort. I think the voice coils melted. Not sure if this is what to expect from playing single frequencies. Going to try an xtreme and just not turn the volume all the way up.

JBL upgraded to the JBL Charge 3. Almost a year now its doing the same thing again. Work in a warehouse the volume is only halfway. Should be able to crank the music without worrying about it blowing a speaker. This speaker should last more than a 1 year. Please JBL fix the problem. I have always been told that if you have to much bass in the speaker it will blow. Need more wattage in the bass speaker. I don't listen to alot of hard bass music. It would be a really good speaker if you (JBL) can figure out how to solve this problem.

It has a nice design, good sound and powerful bass!! The only upgrade I recommend is to have equalizer, other than that is a sure bet for a bluetooth speaker.

Just so everyone else knows, you can buy multiple Charge 3 speakers and they connect to each other all by themselves. If you change the volume at one speaker the volume changes on both speakers. I had been looking at it for awhile and at the time I didn’t have the money but I was able to get it on sale. I am so happy I got it. The sound quality is fantastic. I had it on my counter and played some bass heavy songs and I could feel the bass vibrating the floor a little bit. It’s certainly not going to rattle the house like a true wired system would but for the convenience and the power you get from just a small battery powered device is awesome. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speakers I just bought my 2nd Charge 3 so I could connect with JBL Connect+. I was able to download the new firmware for both devices and it took a little fiddling to get them to connect. The JBL Connect App has some issues, but it does eventually work, and when it does, the Stereo sound and separation is fantastic. These are great powerful speakers and its nice to be able to move them anywhere and switch stereo channels, but it would be nicer if the app was more robust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Great Portable speaker Good Quality. Best Sound Quality. Nicely balanced sound. Loud. Battery lasts long. In my opinion the Charge 3 still one of your best speakers. Before I bought it I used other JBL speakers (GO,GO+,GO 2,Charge 2,Extreme,Boombox), but form all of them I liked this the most. On the Extreme at max volume, it felt like it does not have bass in it and i know its hard to make it in this size. The Charge 2 had bass in it, but it was not loud enough for house parties, then i met the Charge 3 and it was perfect. It has enough bass even on full volume and still loud enough. Keep up the good work!

A friend of mine had one and I was very impressed with the sound quality and particularly liked that you could connect more than 1 Bluetooth device which is important when you have two kids who like music. I also thought the ability to charge a phone was very useful especially when on the beach. The waterproofing was also a nice touch. Only down side was that I wanted a black but only grey, red and blue/green was available .

I was impressed with the sound quality and simple functions making it easy to use. For me this was the perfect wireless speaker for use in the home and occasional travel. I have used it in the bathroom but haven't tried submerging it.

JBL was contacted, they rectified the problem and shipped a new unit within 2 weeks. I have since purchased another Charge 3 for a gift. I am amazed at the sound quality for the size of the unit.

This may sound insane but, I’ve been a musician most of my life and lived through the huge stereo speaker systems we had “back in the day” but now my ideal system is to take advantage of Connect+ and continue to add additional JBL speakers and boom boxes... it’s gonna happen!!! I was impressed right out of the box with the excellent and rich sound quality of the Charge 3. It is one thing to hear a display device in a box store, but quite another when you use it in your spaces. In summary, it looks great, sounds great where I want to use it and is easy to use.

The battery seems to last forever! Two other things I would add to this speaker are wifi audio and a grill over the bass ports for durability, but otherwise it's a great product.

My husband and I grew up in the era of big floor speakers that stood 4 feet tall. I like that the sound projects in so many directions. A previous bluetooth portable speaker I had required me to periodically turn it to direct the sound as my yard work moved to different areas of the yard.

Recently there is a heavy crackling noise from the speaker which makes it quite irritating to use the speaker for anything. I am not sure what to do at this point, I just wish it would of continued working as it did because JBL had a 5 star product and I stood behind it for so long.

Lots of low's and highs once adjusted correctly to your liking. Charge 3 has excellent battery life as it seems to last forever on a charge at 60% volume or less. It's nice to be able to charge your phone if needed, but that lowers your music time of course. Very happy I went with Charge 3 instead of Flip 4. Was not even looking at any other brands :

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charge 3 vs. Flip 4 I have both the Charge 3 and the Flip 4. I’m a professional musician and I have to say the Flip 4 sounds cleaner and overall better than the Charge 3. Sure the Charge 3 has more bass response but it’s sound is muddy and flat compared to the Flip 4. I think it’s simply in need of a firmware update to open up the sound. Both speakers have great sound but the Flip 4 wins until the Charge 3 gets a proper firmware update.

He absolutely loves it. I have a clip 2 and an extreme as well. JBL products are top quality. Great sound for the money. I give this a 5 star review as a product. I bought a silicone carrier that has a carabiner. That would be the only improvement needed to the Charge 3.

The prong on the input is flimsy, at least too flimsy for the heavy rubber stopper that covers the charge opening. The piece is flimsy on the charge cord and now is about to bend off again. I can plug it in but no charge goes through. When the speaker is charged, I'm happy enough with the quality, but this poor design or intended obsolesence of the charger is offensive.

Smooth blend of highs and lows. I also bought a Charge 4 expecting an upgrade but I like the sound of the 3 better. I thought the 4s highs were too bright. Virtually no difference in power. The Bass is great. but the sounds started cracking for some reason. I don't know if its because I charged my phone in it because it was built for that anyway or because I did waterproof test with my speaker. also i tried looking up online for a solution but couldnt find any and i found out many charge 3 owner have the same problem.

I wasn't too involved in the purchase or saw it as necessary, but I was very wrong. I had no idea of the inadequate speakers in my iPad and computer monitor until we connected them to the JBL3! We are still not accessing all the conveniences of the speaker, but hopefully will as we learn more of its capabilities. My husband bought it because my daughter had one; he was so impressed that he got one for us.

It Took me like 2 weeks to drain the battery to 0% and it charges very fast with the power brick it comes with. Bass is awesome, very good highs and Phenomenal mids. JBL is the most amazing speaker company and they are cheap its a win-win for everyone.

I thought I would be able to hook an auxiliary cable from it into the radio and hear the radios speakers while using the bluetooth on my phone. However, I never dreamed both functions would not operate together. A learning lesson if you will. The speaker would only play as loud as the phone, so I also couldn't get the 20 watts out of it. When someone called they could barely hear me. So that really didnt work either. But, it is loud inside the cab. However, on a positive note. It works like a charm on my firestick. I'm thinking of buying 1 more just for the tv.

Then I connected them to my 100" optoma projector, and everything I watch turns into theater experience. After they released the connect + update, I linked 4 charge 3's and 4 flip 4's .... better than ANY surround sound bars on the market .

After contacting JBL, they offered 10% off coupon. I paid $120. That almost $10/month. Expected better product, and then better than a $12 off coupon. See ya JBL you're not the only dog on the track.

The sound is awesome! Portable and worth every penny. I will be buying more JBL products in the future. The "Charge" is the way to go, for sure! I might also buy one for me. I previously owned the Flip 3, and enjoyed it (the sound, bass and portability). I decided to get the Charge 3 since I wanted stronger sound/bass and the full waterproof features was appealing. It took 10 sec's to connect to my phone, and then the first thing I noticed was the Base. Blew away the other two brands I've gone thru. It played for 9 hrs, had to charge my phone twice. Sounds like a much bigger system. I'm happy.

Nice wat to treat your customers. Funny thing is I have been purchasing JBL equipment for quite some time. My main speakers a 4343b. I also purchase pro audio. Not sure what I am going to do about the pro audio but the smaller stuff is going to be Bose.

Love the sound quality of the speaker but after that nothing but headaches and problems. 1st time I buy the speaker goes 14 months no issues the all of a sudden will no longer turn on but will charge so there is an issue with the power button failing. Ok JBL replaced with a new one and worked great figured ok just got a defective one. Fast forward 14 months same exact issue. Now mind you it stays in my bedroom. Never been dropped, never gotten wet, never done anything that would cause it to fail and mind you I use it once a week if even that. But JBL apparently has a strict 1 year warranty policy. And was like yeah we can repair it but it would cost more then the speaker itself so you just have to buy a new one. But here's 10% off. Oh yeah the model you have is backordered for 6 months.... it's so refreshing of a company that doesn't stand behind their products by putting a short warranty as it seems their products develop issues shortly after. Plus judging from other reviewers im not the only one. Waste of $160. Buyer beware. Sound quality's great but it is definitely not built to last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update the firmware before judging sound quality For those of you wondering if the JBL Charge 3 is still a good purchase in 2020 I would say definitely yes, but it's very very important for you to update the firmware of the speaker using the JBL Connect app before judging the sound quality of it. The stock JBL Charge 3 that's sold by JBL stores comes with Firmware version 3.9, and honestly the sound quality is "TERRIBLE": muffled high, pronounced mids and weak low end. But once you update the firmware to the most recent 7.6 version using the JBL Connect app this little speaker transforms itself, providing excellent sound quality for it's size with a well-balanced EQ curve. Punchy bass, tight mids and more present highs. You'll notice little details on songs that are just not perceived with the original firmware. Once thing that also improves with the firmware upgrade is that the stereo field is more noticeable, which is one of the good things that the Charge 3 has compared to it's modern iteration in the Charge 4... for those of you who are not aware, the Charge 3 is a true Stereo speaker (it has two separate small speakers inside), whereas the newest Charge 4 is actually a Mono speaker. So don't hesitate to buy it, remember that the Charge 3 is not being manufactured anymore, therefore once stocks run out they are gone for good.

The sound is amazing and I love the fact that it’s waterproof, I can connect multiple phones and it has a USB plug that I can use to charge my phone. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last Two stories. First, I have a JBL Flip 4 (very similar) and had accidentally dropped it from a third story balcony, it hit the concrete below. Went down and the speaker only had a scratch on the end and still works great two years later. Second story, I found a JBL Charge while tubing floating down the Mississippi River in northern Minnesota last weekend, and grab it fully submerged, the blue tooth light was still on and making a buzzing sound. No idea how long it was underwater (lots of people tubing the river that week), maybe they lost it that day or the day before. Anyway, let it drain and dry for a couple days, charged it up, and tested it out. Works great! No sound issues and holds a charge. (pictured)

I already have a JBL Charge 4 that also is an excellent portable bluetooth speaker but my wife wanted a somewhat smaller, portable bluetooth speaker for her own use. Great sound from the speaker! I knew it would provide great sound based on my experience with my JBL Charge 4!

Even though the volume was low, I could hear the great sound and amazing bass from this little package. Was so impressed I ordered one later that day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legit Waterproof I have had my JBL Charge 3 for about 4 years now. We went to the beach and when packing up, someone threw my speaker into my ice chest. Yes my ice chest people. We rolled it into the hotel room knowing we were staying another day, but wouldn't use the ice chest. Got back home and unpacked. This speaker was legit in ice water for 2 days, submerged, and it still works. No flaws or glitches. Shout out to JBL!

Volume b is good, low end is acceptable for such small drivers, But high end leaves much to be desired. Not crisp as I would have hoped. Functionality is good, battery time excellent but only maintained my phone, did not add to my battery. Not a bad device, perhaps worth what i paid for it. It will serve it’s purpose!

I've had the speaker through 4 or 5 phones and used it with all of them, it has lasted longer then them! The sound quality is great, good high end and great low end. The waterproofing is awesome, i've never had any problems with it after 100s of showers and days near the water. I work at a summer camp in the woods, and this speaker has lasted 3 or 4 summers with me getting dirty and tossed around, it is built to last. Other then some minor scratches it is still in great condition. I hope I never need to buy another speaker, but if I do I will be buying from JBL.

It cannot be compared with any other Brand product. The best, go for it. I wanted to go for jbl xtreme 2. Jbl charge 3 is best for a regular room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product but disappointing warranty service The speaker is good but after 3 years it started to decharged in less than 30 min and get some interference in the sound. Now it only works plugged into an outlet. On the website it says 5 years warranty but the costumer service told me it only applies for purchase on their onw website, not from retailers. That makes no sense once it is supposed to be exactly the same product. Why the warranty is only 1 year if you buy from a retailer? It means we pay the same price for products sold by retailers but they are poorer quality? I'm very disappointed with the service, do not recommend it.

However the speaker would connect to my laptop then not play any audio, though the bluetooth was connected. And even after turning off everything and re-connecting there were still issues of connecting but no audio playing out.

I did find I needed to change the equalized settings on my phone because the base was a little weak. Once I did (raised base and treble), it cranked out pretty good. Very portable I would buy again for sure.

I got it to replace the speakers in my van conversion, and it is loud and powerful both in audio and play time. I also have used it in the house and as a shower speaker. I’m very happy with the audio quality and the product material and design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic speakers I’ve had the charge 3 for 2 months and I love it it’s very durable I dropped it a couple times and it still bumps and it’s been in a pool for 20 minutes one time and still works and I realized that I can upgrade the speaker to connect plus soo I then bought 2 flip 4s and they also are touch they have been At the bottom of a pool for a while and they still works like they did since day one and when you pair all of them together in the shower i can literally have a concert in there

The battery seems to last forever, it can survive being dropped in the pool, and being able to charge devices off of it is a huge bonus too. As for sound, it's well balanced and can be loud enough for any occasion. Highly recommend.

I thought maybe it was a bad connection through Bluetooth didn’t think anything of it. Well throughout the next few months it got worse and worse. Now all I hear is static with a little bit of music. Keep in mind this speaker was well taken care of (never dropped, mishandled, no water exposure) it stayed in one spot. THIS SPEAKER IS TRASH!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised on how loud this speaker is only for $99! The Quality is nice, JBL never lets you down when it comes to speakers. Battery life is good as well, compared to other speakers. The fact that it's waterproof even makes it better. Definitely get your hands on one!
