APC 7-Outlet Surge Protector, 6ft Cord 1440 Joules Essential Series, Black is rated 4.90 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Keeps Working I work at a local university in the events management area. I took this power strip in to see how it would stack up with other strips that I’ve purchased over the years. The strips move around a lot and student workers are not very careful with them. This APC may now have a few scratches and dings’s, but it keeps on working. I never have to worry about the laptops into it. It gets my double thumbs up award.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 Foot cord was perfect I wanted to move my office around and couldn't find a high quality Surge protector to power my expensive Desktop gear. The 6 foot cord and 7 outlets was perfect for my needs, and now I know my equipment is protected from power surges and lightning strikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Remote Office Setup I just bought this model to set up a remote office for my wife, who will be working from home for the foreseeable future. Like the new sleek look on these - this is visible and can be seen when walking into the room. Works as it should. The outlet with the extra space is nice - don't need it now but may need in the future for a large plug. Excellent price on this as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice touches The PE76 is full of thoughtful touches. The wall plug is flat, so that it won't block furniture being pushed up against the wall. Plus, the cord comes out from the plug at an angle, so that it doesn't block the other wall outlet. The power cord on my unit is 6' long. There are similar models that have longer or shorter cords, depending on what you need. Openings on the back of the unit that allow for vertical wall mounting. The unit has the typical 6 outlets found on many power strips, plus an extra one that's spaced to handle a large power adapter. I was able to plug in 1 large and 1 medium power adapter without blocking any of the other outlets. Of course, all of the outlets are protected against power surges. A power switch on the unit controls power to all the outlets. A light indicates, when the switch is on. A second light indicates that the ground connection of the wall outlet is wired properly. (A proper ground is required for the surge protection to work. There was one time I actually found incorrect building wiring with such a light.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great design This is one great design of a surge protector, I like the fact that it has a 'space' for the power adapters that we often use for the holidays.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from APC always quality products Sturdy, well constructed, and love the "off angle" plug in. Chose this product as it has an on/off switch to save on electricity costs. Hit the switch when done for the day and save on phantom power costs: Up to 10% of your electric bill is spent on appliances while they’re not even being used!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good basic surge protector A nice size with 6 outlets plus a transformer outlet on the end of the unit. The 90 degree flat plug is a nice feature. The protection and ground lights give you a clear indication that the surge protector is working properly. The 1440 joule rating is fairly high and is backed by a $50,000 connected equipment protection policy and lifetime warranty on the unit itself. Overall it is a good basic unit, if you want or need network or telephone protection you need to get a different model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Power Strip I am a member of the review team and I got this power strip to try and i must admit that this one seems to work much better then the ones I have purchased several years ago, the best feature that I like the most is the number of plug ins it offers, 7 plug ins instead of the 6 that other products offer, you can plug in more items which is very helpful since there always seems to be more items to be plugged in... The other feature that I like is the power cord that comes with it, it is pretty long at 6 foot which is perfect since you don't have to be very close to the wall outlet, so if you need a great power strip this is the one that you need.
