UPS works fine.
Connect battery, plug it in, it works. Nothing special about it. There may be a boat-load of network features in it but I don't use this in any other way than just a stand alone, unconnected UPS protecting some electronics.

all that and a bag of chips
I am very happy with this UPS. I did quite a bit of reading before I purchased it because of some of the mixed reviews. I'll cover the ones it seemed were mentioned the most. First: odor. When I first plugged mine in it had a VERY SLIGHT odor for the first couple weeks. I would pretty much have to be sitting right next to it to notice. Second: noise. The fan can hardly be heard when it's running and the unit is virtually silent all other times. Third: Heat. Mine has never been more than barely warm to the touch. Fourth: brightness. The display is what I would describe as a cool blue in color. It doesn't shine light in and of itself so it doesn't light up the room.

This thing is Great
I love the web connect monitoring and the multi device connected monitoring with the Power Chute Professional software. I can login to the web portal for smart connect and see all relevant information about the UPS. I can also setup to be emailed when the power goes out so I can know when the UPS has been needed.

Great Product - Limited Admin functions
Great concept of allowing IT departments and MSP's to manage all their UPS devices in single pane of glass. Good point on these should make them easy to sell. LCD is nicer than previous models. Management console needs some improvement. I should be able to add other admin/technicians to a manage these.

Multiple Lost Connections with USB
This UPS is not nearly as good as the SUA750 it replaced. Purchased a few months ago, the Powerchute Software and USB interface has lost connection over 6 times since placing into service. The SUA750, which was in service for over 14 years, NEVER lost connection with PowerChute.

Awesome 750VA fits on your desk!
Awesome little 750VA UPS unit that fits and looks great on your desk! As with most other APC products this is solid reliable and feature rich. It has the Smart Connect remote monitor capability as well. 6 Surge and Battery Outlets. Smart Card slot. LCD looks great and makes it easy to read and understand. Definitely recommended.

SMT750C Review
I've had the SMT750C for better than a month now and I'm impressed. The features included take this consumer UPS to a whole new level. The UPS is installed in a remote location and powers communications gear and smart home equipment. What I was looking for in a UPS was a device that would power up after extended power outages and keep the gear running for short periods of time so that alert messages would be sent. The SMT750C accomplishes this and more.
My current settings are as follows:
Turn On Delay (set to 120 seconds)
Turn Off Delay (15 seconds)
Reboot Duration (8 seconds)
Minimum Return Time (30 seconds)
Load Shed Time on Battery (1800 seconds)
Load Shed Runtime Remaining (3600 seconds).
With the above I can ride through short power outages, long power outages I shed the equipment conserve battery life and wait for commercial power to return. The APC SmartConnect portal gives me the tools necessary to check everything I could possibly want and be proactive.
Anyone looking for a 'Smart' consumer UPS should give this serious consideration
