Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Add-On for Newer MacBook Pro This can be a necessary add-on for a newer MacBook Pro which does not have an integrated RJ45 Ethernet port for wired network connections, for those rare times today when neither a wireless or tethered connection isn't available. And yes, it is USB-C, so it will work on the new MacBook Pro without an additional dongle. It gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked as expected on MacBook Pro 2016. Worked as expected on my new laptop that has USB-C. Unfortunartely it does not have a wired network connection. The Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Network Adapter - USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) solved all my ethernet problems. If you need a single use devices, this is it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful adapter These little guys are amazing. When using with the new MacBook Pro's that only have USB-C ports, this saves so much trouble having having multiple adapters to plug into ethernet. I wish they came in white to match the rest of the Apple adapters, but thats would just be nice, not anything that keeps me from ordering them for my office. They work great and are built to a nice degree of quality. I would highly recommend these as a ethernet solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works... I bought it for my 15" MacBook Pro w/Touch Bar. It works, plug and play, and tested my internet connection and I get what I pay for with my ISP (100 Mbps). However, I don't have any testing utility in this computer to test for gigabit speed within my network, but for now I will assume it is working at gigabit speeds since I haven't encountered any problems. The dongle itself does get a bit warm which I am guessing is normal due to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constant kernel panics on MacOS Sierra While this product does perform well when working, it is marred by the presence of continual (weekly) kernel panics, forced shutdowns and temporary internet slowdowns on MacOS Sierra, especially when connected to a USB-C hub or the LG 4K 21.5" displays. This has made this adapter very difficult to live with. Apple has confirmed that this is a driver problem with Belkin's drivers (even the latest Nov '16 ones), and not with MacOS, and therefore I recommend staying away from this product until the drivers are updated to prevent this. It is a widespread issue which can be found on message boards, etc. and is completely unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Add an Ethernet connection to a Chromebook Easiest way to add an Ethernet connection to a Chromebook (or some of the newer Macs). I like to ensure a stable connection so I prefer a hardwire to my router. This dongle meets that need perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible First Belkin product I ever purchased, and definitely the last. Does not work at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trouble-free speed boost I bought this adapter to connect my laptop to the network via hardwire ethernet, instead of WiFi. It connected to the router with no problem, and file transfer speed is about 3x that over WiFi. Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected, another good Belkin product. No problems using with my new Mac. It might be nice to have a 90 degree connector as this one sticks way out to the side of the computer making it difficult to put anything beside your laptop.
