Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer, BUT....... I recently purchased this printer as a replacement for an Epson. I like that is has ink tanks rather than cartridges. So far it has worked nicely, printing clear letters and pictures. My biggest complaint is the way the control panel works. It is pretty confusing to use. It has codes for the paper sizes that I am not familiar with and no option for envelopes that I have been able to find. I Googled the various paper sizes and could come up with explanations for only B5 and A4 and 5. The directions for printing pictures and picture sizes is not very clear either. Considering that this printer is NOT an inexpensive model, I feel that the software should be easier use. I have looked at the on-line manual but haven't found this to be user friendly either. I hope that someone is working to update this feature.

This is my first nice printer and what a difference over the cheaper ones. The quality is light years ahead of my old printers. Set up is extremely easy with the touch screen display providing video of each step. I was printing in minutes. Love the paper tray and windows to clearly see the ink levels and paper levels. The printer connected to both my phone and laptop without issue. I tested all functions and each worked as and beyond expectations. Looking forward to having this be my everyday printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Great print quality. Fast. Relatively quiet(compared to my old HP printer).This printer seems to be pretty economical to use-time will tell. Filling these tanks is super easy! Has both an Ethernet connection, USB connection, and WiFi for great network flexibility. The documentation that came with the printer is adequate for a quick setup, but for fine tuning go to the Canon web site which is very well done!

But decent print quality if not the fastest. Best part is the refillable ink containers that are way cheaper than any other replacement ink. WiFi connection was also not that stable.

You just put the bottle on and it automatically does it for you. The quality of the picture was great and much better than any printers I have had before!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid option for a refillable tank printer I was so excited to get my hands on this Canon Maxify GX2020 printer to compare it to the Epson Eco Tank 3850 that I own. First thing I noticed is that the Canon has a touch screen that pivots and the Epson does not have either. They are comparable in size. The Canon feels less cheap. I liked that the print heads are easy to access with the Canon vs the Epson where you have to take things apart. Printing - The Canon wins for quality and color matching hands down. In my photo you will see the Canon print on the left and the Epson on the right. The Canon print matches the computer colors. The Canon is less noisy. I would say both lack in the printing of pictures…adds grain. You don’t buy an eco tank or Canon Maxify for photos - you buy them to save on ink and print in masses. I teach childbirth Ed classes so these work great for that. I do notices some lines in my prints but that could be because the printer head needs cleaned. My Epson is a beast when it comes to saving ink though. I have printed over 3400 pages and still have ink left and have never refilled. The tank did the Canon is much smaller than my Epson so I highly doubt that I would get the 3000 pages the ink promises. The refills are even smaller than the initial ink they give. My guess is I won’t be able to print as many pages but the quality will be better. I printed about 35 pages and can see a dip in my colors already. The Epson I had to print about 500 pages to notice a dip. Time will tell! Setting up scanning on the Canon was a bit of a challenge. It doesn’t come with a manual, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to email myself a scan (it was throwing errors). I did hook up a usb connection to my computer and was able to scan that way. I still have yet to figure out scanning on my Epson - setup doesn’t direct you to download the software you need for it. Neither will allow you to scan and send via wifi to the computer. All-in-all, I do think this is a quality upgrade from the Epson. Hoping the ink lasts 3000 prints like it promises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Set-up. Efficient printer. I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up this printer. I was literally ready to print in ten minutes. It connected to my home-office wifi, without any trouble, and so far, I've had no issues printing from my laptop. It's important to note that this is an ink-jet printer, which is a little slower in printing than my laser printer, which is a different brand. However, unlike that printer, I've had no issues with error codes. Also, this printer has refillable ink cartridges. It comes with the black and colored ink, and you simply insert the bottle upside down, and the ink fills the cartridges, which is really cool. So far, I'm quite impressed with this printer, and I hope to be using it a long time.

Everything is so quick & easy as well as how clearly it prints stuff! I’d recommend this printer to others for sure!

It is also a great somewhat compact size for all that it offers. Certainly recommend this if you need a printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing printer! My brother's home printer became faulty after almost 7 years of use, so it was time to replace it. I was excited to receive a Canon printer from Influenster and I'm currently trying out its features. So far, I'm impressed with its capability to print all types of documents, photos, and projects. It can also fax (do people still send faxes?), scan, and perform several other functions. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the printer is not bulky and easily fits on my desk without taking up so much space. My husband helped me set it up and he found it very easy and mess-free to fill up the ink cartridges. I had some matte photo paper lying around, so I decided to print one of my favorite photos of my cat using the printer, and as you can see in the photo, the quality is excellent! I'm familiar with Canon and the brand's high standards for its products, so I highly recommend this printer.

I was so anxious to try this printer as I am a creative person and always love printing and decorating my house with different images, plus I work from home and heavily use it for my job and to mail things. It comes with huge refillable containers and the quality is just at the TOP!!! Its fast, easy to connect and prints in an instant from my phone. If you are looking for a reliable printer that isn’t massive and can do a quality job- look no more!

PROS- compact for functions, prints well, even photos from phones on glossy (but highlight shadowy areas of importance, they will be darker in print, in my case shadows under peoples faces from hats or just indoors), wifi printing fine (even with another phones hotspot), USB cable (NOT INCLUDED) EXCELLENT direct to MAC OS computer, decently quiet with a quiet mode I haven't used yet, space saving, slightly smaller refills are bargain priced with free shipping (check Cannon website), does double sided printing and will copy a front page, then a back page to create a double sided copy (haven't mastered this yet with DS copies with multiple copies, much less multiple double sided pages), theres a double sided Eco setting that can be set to default printing and will also turn off power automatically. CONS- the 1st step of set up was not super intuitive for me, the first 2 empty black cartridges go in the plastic clips running left to right in the middle of the printer, connecting to phone hotspot would repeatedly not accept my password, but wanted the barcode for my wifi hotspot which took me a while to figure out how to find on my phone settings not sure how i would connect my wifi router w/o barcode (but ours is down anyways), I have an easier double sided copying home printer (though not as ink saving, quiet, and compact and lesser quality).

My husband works in a professional setting and let me know that they had purchased several of them and I understand why! The way the ink is is incredibly cost effective with the individual bottles. I love this printer…I no longer will go without it.

I am so happy and thrilled to be a part of this program I'm so happy that I was selected. This printer is awesome! It's very compact in size so it's easy to store and it's easy to fit right next to my desktop computer. I love the toner and the way that it is liquid and you can refill the cartridge without having to replace the entire thing. I think that all printers in the future should look into this option. The colors are vibrant it's easy to read it's easy to set up and it's very user friendly thank you so much for this printer and if you have not purchased it as of yet now is your cue to go and get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality printer! Super easy set up! The touch screen walks you through each step vs having to read a manual. There is an app for mobile devices to print wirelessly. The print quality is great and it’s not super loud. My only issue (which might be user error) is I can’t print directly from a source. For example, if I found a picture or document online, and I go to print off my phone from that website or download…it only prints a small portion of it. But if I print that same thing via the mobile app, it prints the whole thing. I’m having trouble shooting it, so for now I’ll just print from app when doing mobile printing. It printed just fine from my computer. I did color copies and scanning too and it was fast and exact! I have no need to fax anything because it’s for my personal use not an office, so I haven’t tested that. Very happy with this printer and glad to have it. This would be great for a small office or home!

The quality of the print is incredible, I was not expecting it to be this great, it’s like I brought my pictures to the store to be printed. You can even see how much ink is left of each color as well as how much paper is left at all times so there is none of that , “mom, I have a school project and I tried to print it and it’s out of ink.” I am so happy with this printer and would recommend it to anyone in need of a printer!

Super easy to set up and images are super sharp. Scanning images is easy also and then able to send as an attachment. The perfect addition to our home office and for the kids school work as needed!

The ink quality is preferential for colored documents. Whether it be for a personal business or typical clerical jobs, I would recommend this printer. Ink efficiency seems to be adequate. Definitely a top contender when looking searching for printers.

It was easy to get the printer itself set up and ink filled, but connecting it to wi-fi took forever. After it connected once, it would cycle connecting and disconnecting and making it nearly impossible to do anything. The ink is used up far more quickly than with my ink cartridge printer, and the photos aren't nearly as vivid. It does print quickly, and the copier and scanner work great, but this printer leaves much to be desired.

The gradients were barely visible. Paper handling was smooth and quick. No issues with connectivity as well. Overall very happy with the printer and I highly recommend it.

The picture printing quality was great on plan and glossy paper. Print speed just as fast. I would highly recommend it to friends and family. Ease of use and setup. Fax is fast enough and wifi and direct connection to computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CONFIDENTIAL TO CANON - CORNFUSION IN PRODUCTS ADVERTISED I have owned two Pixma MX922s. They have been workhorses. In reviewing Canon product for another printer purchase, I find the MAXIFY GX2020 advertised as PRINT, COPY, SCAN, FAX. If I search on Amazon for the same, I find only GX2020 advertised which is does not include the FAX capability. However, the two devices are advertised for the same $299. Is the product on Amazon old or EOL product? The Canon Web Store link on Amazon does not even offer a GX2020 product that I could find. I may order a MAXIFY GX2020 if I can be assured of getting one with FAX capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great printer. This is a great printer but there are problems setting it up. It does not come with a quick setup guide. It would be helpful if there was one included that explained the things you need to address right away such as the administrator's password. It took me days to find what that was and by then it was too late to change it via the printer. Very annoying. And a 690 page manual? Is that really necessary?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GX2020....Very good but not perfect Printer is new; very quiet; print quality to acceptable standards. Set up grade is B- as the insertion of print heads into a flimsy holder is suspect. The top of the holder is not sturdy and will likely break. I hope parts are available.

I could never get the wireless connection with my Samsung to work, but this Canon has been a dream! The print quality has been fine. While it isn't as fast as my laser printer, the print speed is certainly acceptable. I do wish the paper tray were larger. I can't find a program or a setting that shows the ink level. Surely there is a way to find out how much ink I have left. The only real downside is that if I don't print anything for a while, it will shut off. That's irritating. There needs to be a standby/low power mode that it can go into instead of shutting off. Other than that, I'm very happy with this printer.

I like the print capacity - my old "other brand" printer was running my bank account dry with monthly replenishments of ink. The Maxify Canon GX2020 will be a refreshing change!

I did have a difficulty connecting to my network via wifi, but once I navigated to the settings I found that WIFI was turned off by default. Once I fixed that, my computers all could see and print to it. It is especially nice to have 2 sided printing again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fairly Decent Great printer overall. I don't like that it's support for Apple Print is finicky at best and I don't like that I have to turn it on every time I want to use it. It would be nice if there was a power save mode that allowed the wifi to be on, for the printer to automatically turn on when receiving a signal. If the Apple Print issue was fixed and I didn't have to turn it on every time I wanted to print, then it would be a five star. Printing itself is fantastic, quick. Duplex printing is very fast. Prints photos very well. Overall I am pleased and am hopeful that future updates will improve the issues that it has.
