In evaluating this Service please review the SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT (“SOE”) detailed here in the “Product Overview” section. Your order of this Service indicates your acceptance of all terms and conditions specified in the SOE set forth in Product Overview section.
SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT
This SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT (“SOE”), together with the Agreement between the CDW entity selling the Services described herein (“Seller”) and the customer ordering such Services (“Customer”) shall be deemed to be a contract upon Seller’s acceptance of Customer’s order.
This covers rack build services in CDW’s Configuration Center prior to shipping. It includes installation and cabling of rack mount servers, network equipment and peripherals per customer specifications.
SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following tasks:
• Equipment will be unboxed
• Equipment will be thoroughly inspected for physical damage or blemishes
• Rack will be unboxed and we will retain all original packaging for repacking
• Rack will be verified to ensure it meets shipping requirements
• Included rack mounting rails and screws will be installed
• Equipment will be mounted into rack per customer’s provided rack layout or predetermined scheme
• Equipment will be cabled per customer’s provided cabling layout or predetermined scheme
• If applicable installed cables will be routed, and tied down to avoid interference and provide for maximum airflow
• If applicable installed cables will be labeled for identification and ease of troubleshooting
• Installed equipment will be tested for basic functional operation
• Installed equipment will be secured within rack to ensure safe transport
• If applicable servers will be installed so they slide freely along rails, and cables provide sufficient slack
• All equipment will be turned on to ensure normal power up within the rack
• Any defective components will be replaced from CDW’s in-stock inventory if available
• Rack configuration will undergo a series of quality control steps to verify the hardware is installed to customer’s specifications
• Rack will be repackaged and prepared for shipping
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following tasks:
• Customer to provide a rack layout and cable layout document as applicable.
• Customer will need to inform seller of any special build requirements
ASSUMPTIONS
• Rack build services can only be performed on racks that come on a shock pallet from the vendor
• Seller will store customer provided instruction sets for each rack build to ensure that the unique configuration is carried out the same way each time a similar rack deployed
• Seller will archive all outdated or unused documents for future use and store for one year. After one year of storage, they will be deleted from Seller’s database
• Multiple quantities of this EDC would be required based on the complexity
• Cables and optional mounting accessories are not included in labor and need to be added to the order if required
• Rack selected for install must come on a shock pallet from the vendor
OUT OF SCOPE
• Removal or placement of rack on shock pallet
• Drilling or modifications to rack that affect its integrity
• Any performance tuning, system optimization or similar activities
• Creation of rack layout documentation or similar activities
• Performing any Services not specified herein
CONTACT PERSON
Each party will appoint a person to provide approvals/decisions (“Contact Person”)

This SOE shall be governed by Seller’s “Terms and Conditions of Product Sales and Service Projects,” which are accessed via the Terms and Conditions link on Seller's website (the “Agreement”) and are incorporated herein.
