Great all around DMM
This is a great digital multimeter. I am a master mechanic and at home also use it for some home. So it works great for DC and AC. I actually went from a similar matco and will never go back. We'll with the money. Many great features also. I really love the backlighting, you don't find that on a lot of DMM's. We'll with the money and far more accurate than any other brand including Matco and Craftsman. A must have for any tech

Bought so i didn’t have to pull out my 787 when i need to troubleshoot wires, cables, grounds, or power. When using for 10 minutes it gets lost. If using ohms or power it does not read correctly. If you turn it off for 5-10 seconds its starts working BUT it gets lost again & faster this time. VERY unreliable

Good for electrical hobbyist and DIY home projects
Bought a Fluke 115 multimeter for hobby electronics projects, and DIY stuff around the house. So far, so good! I especially appreciate the diode measurement feature, and the ability to measure capacitance. The continuity beeper is also super helpful, and very quick to respond.

Can’t go wrong with a Fluke
I purchased this for my personal use. I own a Fluke 30 and a Fluke 12 and now this Fluke 115. I have a company provided Fluke 110 and Fluke 87. I have been using Fluke products for many years and have never been disappointed. I do like how you can turn the settings dial with one hand. The soft blue led backlight is a plus when working in darker spaces. The magnetic hanger that can be added to this meter is very useful and can help to free up your hands. I don’t consider any other manufacturer when it comes to my test equipment.

Compact reliable meter
The Fluke 115 was my 3rd Fluke meter.
I bought it on Amazon in 2014.
Beside my Fluke 289, I needed a light weight, compact size meter. I was dissapointed from the fact that it doesn't do mA currents and it has 6000 conts only. My bad, I didn't read the specs before purchasing it. Other than that I enjoyed using it more than its big brothers. One interesting feature, I loved, is being able to hold it and dial it with one hand only.
During the years, I learned to trust its readings and rely on what it shows.
I would have giving it 5 stars if its prise copared to its functionality was a little bit lower.
Overall it is a nice, easy to use, reliable, and robust meter.

deceptive marketing
Range/resolution 6.000 A / 0.001 A
That from fluke's own web site implies the meter measures milliamps.
Fluke now tells me it only measures 60 milliamps or more. So with a typical fluke milliamp per amp clamp accessory it only works at 60 amps or more. What would you ever work on that draws 60 amps? An entire house? One hundred horsepower or larger motors?
Fluke's recommended solution is to spend $200 more for a millivolt per amp clamp on accessory. No thanks, between the deceptive spec sheet and the cheap stiff leads I have bought my last piece of fluke equipment.

Great DMM!
I bought the Fluke 115 back during the summer and it was a great investment. The back light has helped me out in several crawl spaces and attics. The 'hold' feature has proven to be valuable too. I already feel as if the 115 has paid for itself and will be giving a return for years to come.

A Technician's Best Friend!
I teach at an automotive college and our students receive a Fluke 115. When I teach electrical and advanced electricity and electronics I tell the students if they are serious about becoming successful at electrical troubleshooting they need to be proficient with their DMM. It is exciting when they come into class smiling after they have used their new-found skills and the 115 to solve an electrical issue. I enjoy helping them to learn how to use all of the features the 115 offers.

Easy, Rugged, Accurate, and Reliable
Which can be said of most Fluke products. I've had this DMM for about 12 years. It is Easy enough for a novice, Rugged enough to hold Calibration through international flights and Harsh Environments, Accurate enough for Aviation Standards, and Reliable enough to always work. To be honest, it is my back-up and secondary circuit meter for my 87V DMM, but that's in no way a knock on the 115.

I should have bought one years ago!
After decades of analog, then non-auto ranging meters, I bought a Fluke 115 to see if the hype was legitimate. The brand was something I noticed when working in two different careers, both where I had frequent contact with HVAC and mechanical engineers who recommended, without hesitation, the Fluke product. Extensive research informed me something like an 87V would be terribly unnecessary for my use, but something like a 115 was ideal.
Aside from the basic homeowner/DIY uses like determining continuity or checking vehicle batteries, I was able to use the 115 for my new career as a music teacher where, to save money, I’m constantly repairing instruments, which include several electronic items ranging from speakers and amplifiers to samplers and drum machines. Ensuring solid connections and proper voltage would not only be much slower with a set-range, or worse, analog meter, but I wouldn’t be able to use functions like the min/max button to check battery life or maintain safe voltage levels. I’m also able to gauge Ohms so speaker capacity isn’t overwhelmed by amplifier output.
The backlight is great for working in a dark driveway/parking lot or in tight spaces created by rack mounted electronics. I also appreciate having a fuse, unlike the cheaper meters, which would just fry and you’d have to replace. Having buttons large enough and with ample separation is helpful when you’re working with gloves on or sometimes need to press one without looking; the tactile function is a great benefit. Lastly, the overload prevention feature where the meter indicates you’re on the wrong setting is invaluable towards saving the meter and the fuse.
Overall; an outstanding meter!

Great meter at a reasonable price
I use Fluke multimeters both at work and at home, to trouble shoot equipment and household electrical issues. The 115 is a particular favorite, because it has all the features that one would normally need (AD and DC voltages, resistance/continuity, DC amperage). The meter is well made, the dial intuitive, and the display large and uncluttered.

Dead Nuts On
I bought the Fluke 115 because it's small and my application requires moderate accuracy. My biological father works in an electronic test lab, so he said, "Let's plug that 115 into something accurate and see how she does."
Although the resolution is less on the 115, even when tested against equipment at 100x the reported accuracy of the 115, the 115 is dead nuts on. +-2%
That's why I use Fluke. Their stuff is intelligently designed so you don't have to mess with it. The dial turns with the same thumb you hold the meter with.
And it's got capacitance!! What a bonus! My wife is prettier, but my Fluke is more reliable.

Perfect
I've owned or used Fluke products for all of my professional career so when I needed a meter for home use, the decision was simple: Fluke. Having access to a variety of high-end handheld tools, the 115 gets almost daily use and has never failed me. Personally for me, diagnostics boils done to one question: can I trust the meter to provide accurate information? Without accurate data, you might as be working without a schematic. I have never had an instance where the 115 (or any Fluke product) has given me false or inaccurate information. If my 115 ever dies, you can bet I'll have another...quickly.

always the right tool for the job
I have used and depended on fluke multimeters for over 20 years. Both at home and work, I'll not trust any other meter to get the correct readings/performance. As a an avionics tech I lean heavy on fluke meters to do my job, all my aerospace employers provide fluke multimeters exclusively to use. Faa regulations require an annual calibration to ensure accuracy for safety. It's an faa violation to use a multimeter that's not calibrated or past calibration date (kinda big deal). I never have had any performance issues - even when the meters are subjected to extreme weather conditions. It was an obvious decision to purchase a fluke multimeter for home use and I have not one regret at all- neither will you. A perfect example of getting what you pay for. Sure, you could get a multimeter for less $, but you'll be disappointed. Truthfully.

Everything you would want from a basic multimeter
If you need a solid meter to handle all basic functions, the 115 is perfect. I use it for testing and troubleshooting power supplies, A/V equipment, testing batteries and chargers, and basic electronics repair. The battery life is fantastic and I can always trust the readings are accurate. User interface is simple as it gets and autoranging switches quickly to the correct range allowing you to focus on the measurement. Continuity beeper is fast to react which is good when tracking intermittent faults in cables. Backlit display is nice and clear and great when working behind a dark equipment rack.
Fluke isn't the cheapest option out there, but once you've used one of these you'll never want to go back to a cheap meter again.
My only complaint is the test leads would have been a lot nicer if they used real silicone wire. They're stiff and a bit lumpy from packaging and haven't straightened out fully. I won't take off a star though because this is the case with most meters on the market.

Simply the best
From the late 80's until the early 2000's I worked in the automotive industry. The last 8 of those years I specialized as a drivebility and electrical technician. The first multi-meter I owned was a Fluke (I don't remember the model at this point) that was very basic. As I advanced in driveability and electrical diagnosis I felt I needed a meter that had more functions so I traded the Fluke in on a meter from one of the tool dealers because of "functions per dollar". That meter started out ok but as time went on I realized that it wasn't such a great purchase, dissatisfied in it to say the least. I currently work as a fleet maintenance supervisor/operator for a company that specializes in product sales and contract services for the golf and turf industry. With that position I needed a reliable meter that was also easy to teach others how to use. I chose the Fluke 115 for that purpose. Simply the best.

It's super accurate, the batteries last, the look and feel is top-notch, and it's feature-packed. I love the back-lit display! I have a few Fluke bench meters as well, and I'm happy that this handheld holds its own against these workhorses.

Dependable quality and measurements
After "losing" a Fluke DMM from our lab, I replaced it with a couple of off brand, very cheap, DMMs. At the time I was thinking they would be fine; they even looked like a Fluke Meter. What I found is that they are slow to react as well as feeling more like a toy than a piece of test equipment. I have no worries about these meters being "lost" anytime soon. The quality and durability of the Fluke DMM will outlast the cheap ones along with knowing your getting dependable results. No question in my mind that they are a better value in the long run.

Rugged, reliable and accurate
I never have to worry about the reading being correct - it is. Diode and capacitance testing is a real time saver when troubleshooting automotive electrical systems and home hvac systems. I have had several other multimeters over the years, but from my first intro to Fluke over 40 years ago, I was spoiled by the accuracy and dependability of their instrumentation. It just took me 20 years of using poor seconds to realize, they are not worth it in the long run.

I bought this a couple of days ago. It appears to work okay, but I am disappointed in the build quality. The banana plug on one of the test leads is so loose that I will have to replace the test leads. And the finish on the front panel is not good - looks like poor quality control on the plastic. Best for learning and the long haul!!!
With 25yrs experience as an aviation/industrial equipment electronic's tech, this has been hands down the BEST meter for training the new guy's without breaking the bank. I have expensive taste, I own a 8060A, 115 ,87V, i1010,and an i30l Plus just about every backprobe, test lead and a whole pile of home made testers. I am very fortunate that I get to go to work and have fun! The best part of my job is taking the new kids, or young men to the side and showing them that this is a line of work where you win some and you lose some. Just as long as we do it with safety first. The reason I bought my 115 was to teach my pups with the same meter they have. Not to say it in a bad way bad way but I can dumb it down to where we can troubleshoot a circuit over the phone, we both have the same meters so nothing is lost in translation.. The Fluke 115 is the best meter hands down when it comes to price and function. I honestly feel that if you are not using a Fluke, you are taking your own life in your own hands. I trust Fluke that much.

Saved my life
My name is joe I am just writing this in hopes to let you know that I have used this meter for a year now and while I was using my 117 last week at work I was saved when I was testing a cabinet and the meter blew up in my hand and then the cabinet flashed but I was able to get move before the cabinet exploded and I suffered some minor injuries but the meter took the brunt of the load and saved my life I owe it all to fluke I will definitely be getting a new meter only from fluke.

Great value!
I use this meter in the entertainment industry for both low voltage DC applications and High votage AC applications. It always does its intended job and handles the rigors of multiple users and abuse and keeps on ticking. I would not hesitate to buy another one of these when the need arises.

Great all around multi-meter
This multimeter has stood up to the test of time. I've been using the Fluke 115 for most of my measuring needs for the past 3 years of R & D at an automotive supplier. It's easy to use, durable, and accurate.

Very Happy with it.
Amazing Multimeter very accurate and built to last. Will probably get the magnetic to go with it so I can hang it up.
